Question: A ten in which we engage in internal spiritual work and in dissemination advances toward the future, to the next state.

If I suddenly drop out from the ten and feel discomfort and shame, can this state be called hell, from which I will later be able to feel the taste of bestowal unto the group, or is it just a preparation for more serious emotions?

Answer: We can say that it is hell to some extent. Of course there is what we call more serious levels later on, and you are yet to be “fried” with shame. But it is a good thing.

Believe me, I have been in this line for 40 years and it is still a wonderful page in my life, my whole life in fact, and I don’t regret it at all. I am over 70 and many of my friends I studied with at university or had been in touch with have already passed away. But I don’t think that my fate is worse than theirs.

Do not turn down an opportunity to get closer to the upper laws, to the upper world. After all, you do understand that it is for good. Each day that you invest is an investment in your general spiritual savings account. It is saved for everyone and enters each one’s soul specifically. So do not underestimate any single lesson or any group activity, but carry on and advance.

Question: I have been studying for over two years now and only lately did I hear that once I am in a ten, I will have to be in it for the rest of my life.

Answer: No, we have never said anything like that. There is no problem, you can change tens, but the most important thing here is to try to work with one all the time.

I will say one thing only: when you work in a regular ten, you accumulate material to work on. You are committed to them and they are committed to you. That is, qualitatively speaking, you advance better this way.

It seems to us that this is a problem only in our world. Not really! The Creator places different attributes in you, all kinds of new conditions, shatterings and corrections according to the ten you are in and according to the way you relate to it.

So, on one hand, you must try to adhere to the ten so that you are able to totally melt in them internally, and on the other hand, you will be able to fully gather them like a mother who gathers her youngsters, externally. This is how you express your attitude to the Creator, because as a result, you will discover the Creator in the ten.

Question: We detach from the ten from time to time, then re-enter it, and the frequency with which we do it is an indication of the quality of our work. According to which criterion can we measure it?

I am constantly connected to them for this is my soul and it is with this that I advance in life. Question: What if I have a certain ten today and another tomorrow?

Answer: It makes no difference. All the tens will eventually unite into one. On the whole, everything that was created will unite into one single ten, including nature, the still, the vegetative, and animate levels.

Do not fear the blaze of the swirling sword on the way of the tree of life.

And if you wish to know, I will inform you that I do not find myself far from you at all, and one who feels remoteness, it is because of himself.

Baal HaSulam writes to his students rom afar and guides them and instructs them not to be afraid of anything.

The problem is that the Creator tests a person to see whether he is ready to see only the one unique upper force in everything and not to see anything else but Him.

It is only through unity within the group that a person can turn to the Creator directly. Otherwise, his appeal is very weak because it goes through the whole system of the shattered vessel.

There should be no superstitions here. Superstitions refer to foreign forces other than the Creator. There should not be any other objects that can influence a person, only the Creator through some puppets He operates through strings. These can be one’s relatives, friends, troubles, all of which are basically managed by the one unique force.

So if a person frees the Temple, the place where the Creator is revealed, of different idols, of different foreign sources that influence him, he makes room that the Creator eventually fills.

Baal HaSulam writes: “And if you wish to know, I will inform you that I do not find myself far from you at all, and one who feels remoteness, it is because of himself.” It only seems to you this way because of your uncorrected attributes, while I feel you in my attributes, and so I am among you, right by your side, together with you, in constant direct contact with you.

Question: Does making the house vacant symbolize our freedom from thoughts in which there is no Creator?

Answer: Being free of thoughts in which there is no Creator means leaving the place clean for basic reasons and for other different reasons. If you believe that there is a force that operates in the world other than the Creator, it means that these reasons seemingly fill the whole Temple.

The Temple is the soul. It is the place that the Creator needs to fill with the attribute of love, bestowal, and faith above reason, which means that we have to vacate our egoism from this place.

Question: Does our unity take place on the level of faith above reason?

Answer: We cannot unite any other way, but only in faith above reason. Faith above reason refers to the fact that we have to ascend above our egoism to the attribute of bestowal, and only there can we unite.

Question: And does the descent take place when I descend to a thought in which there is no Creator?

Answer: Not only when I descend to a thought in which there is no Creator, but that there are also other forces that rule you and influence you.

We need to constantly pay attention to descents. We must not delve into them and weep, but we should regard them in a more serious, controlled manner, understand them, and be grateful to the Creator for having revealed them to us by His light.

In fact, these are not descents, but the revelation of the next corruption that I am given and thus enabled to correct the general vessel. In this state, it is clear to me that I must connect to my friends. This is the state each of us is in during the revelation of our individual states and the common states in which we feel descents, ascents, and different leaps, and correct them together.

As we feel the individual descents or the general common ones, we need to immediately yearn to connect to the center of the ten and try to hold on to each other. It is only by greater consolidation between us that we can correct these descents, this darkness, and these misunderstandings.

All the states are corrected by one single motion toward unity and not in any other way. There can be all kinds of states of inconsistency and lack of coordination, discomfort, quarrels, misunderstandings, distance from each other, individual states, or common states, but none of them matter. These states result from the fact that we are not united enough, and we can correct them only by our common unity.

The moment we yearn for and turn to unity, we should immediately ask the Creator to glue us together because we will not be able to unite without Him. We do not have any other glue that can keep us together.

First, we need to restrict each one’s own egoism so that we will not use it, and then we need to acquire a Masach (screen) above each one’s egoism, and the reflected light that is aimed at each other and then at the Creator. We need to receive all that from above.

The Creator reveals the next level of our shattering inside us, and He is also the one who has to correct it. We need to clearly attribute this to Him only. Just as we take a broken object to a place where it can be fixed, this is what our work comes down to, to determine who is the expert that can do it. The Creator wants us to acknowledge Him as a craftsman and a great expert.
