Question: We have been talking for more than a year about “bestowal” and “to bestow upon n a person or the Creator.” Now it feels like we are at the starting point of the path. I would like all of us to understand this concept of bestowal in the same way; otherwise a discrepancy will begin, and the further we go the more it will grow.

What kind of bestowal are we talking about? What is it? In material terms, I can give each friend 100 rubles and everything will be fine, but what are we talking about?

Answer: We are talking about helping each of us. And help can only be in helping to reach the Creator.

And we can reach the Creator only when we are united together in the most assembled Kli (vessel), with as many parts together as possible, with the strongest possible connection between all parts. That’s what we have to do.

But one cannot do without the other in any way. We cannot reveal the Creator within ourselves. I can only reveal Him in a good connection between myself and a friend. When we relate to each other in some way similar to the Creator’s quality, then we reveal Him.

Therefore in order to reveal the Creator, someone else is needed besides me, a person with whom I will have such a mutual relationship that I will treat him as the Creator treats us. In principle, we have to do this.

Therefore our work is purely practical. Studying will in no way replace it for us. We should simply change our relationships and make them more similar to the qualities of the Creator. Then we will be called “man” (Adam), from the word “edome“—similar to the Creator.

The smallest group is the ten. The large group is all of humanity.

All my pleas must go through the ten. Only through my small group can I turn to the Creator and not otherwise. The group is my switchboard, my unit through which I connect to Him.

To the extent that I want to establish connection with my friends, I turn to the Creator. And I cannot address the Creator directly at all, the Creator will not hear me. If at least two friends do not unite in bestowing to each other, then they cannot connect to the Creator. This is the minimum condition.

And the optimal condition is all of humanity. The rational condition is the ten. When I annul myself in front of others, I enter the connection with the Creator.

We all are different and each has his own qualities and feelings, but if we do the same action of annulling ourselves, then we become closer, similar to each other. The Creator shines upon us and starts creating completely new forms of connection between us.

Then we begin to understand that it is not by chance that we are so diverse in this group. We are gathered in a group by the upper light that separated, shattered, and broke us, and now it begins to connect us. We feel how He gathers us.

The closer He brings us to each other, the more we resist. We feel how different we are, but He gathers us. This is where we should be His helpers in faith above reason and begin together with Him, with the upper light, to connect into one common, harmonious system called the soul.

The law “Love your neighbor as yourself” comes from the very beginning of creation when the upper light filled the entire universe.

Speaking in physical terms, we can say that the entire force of creation, all its matter, was concentrated in one point. Then the Big Bang happened as a result of which the entire universe, all the worlds and all the galaxies emerged.

The Big Bang was caused by a short circuit between the will to receive created by the Creator and the will to bestow, which is the nature of the Creator.

When the will to bestow touched the will to receive created by it, the will to receive exploded and all the elements at all levels of the universe were formed from its particles: inanimate, vegetative, animate, human, and above the corporeal man, the level of spiritual development that makes man similar to the Creator and returns all matter to the equivalence of form with the Creator, with the light. This is what Kabbalistic cosmology says.

It does not matter where we begin to fulfill the law of Love your neighbor as yourself. The main thing is to start, and then we will advance by fulfilling it. Even if we fulfill this law in a small group, through this, as in a laboratory, we want to represent the entire creation.

The desire to build a connection between friends in the ten is a very elevated and subtle aspiration. It means that we are running an experiment in a laboratory in order to find out what creation is and what laws apply within it. By checking what laws apply between us in our small ten, we will find out how we can influence the laws of the entire vast creation.

The only problem is that we neglect the ten not understanding that we touch the most internal and most sensitive part of the entire universe through it,  both of the entire corporeal and spiritual world.

If we understood what a unique tool we had at our disposal, we would treat the ten differently. This is why the true picture is concealed from us, and we are like little children playing with blocks on the floor without realizing there is a vast world around us. We do not notice anything around us in our childish mind because we are completely absorbed in this game.

If we understood that the entire law of love for your neighbor was implemented in the ten, we would integrate into it, begin to work with all our might, and through it, we would reveal the entire reality, both corporeal and spiritual, as one single whole.

Question: What does it mean not to forget about the friends who are not near me? Must I specifically remember the friend’s name?

Answer: It is not necessary to remember or know anything specific. It is simply necessary to feel that we are all one big Kli and are now in a state like at Mount Sinai where we must receive the force of connection from above for the first time.

It is up to this force to create a state within us in which the Creator will be revealed. It may not be tangible yet, but we will at least feel that beside the negative egoistic power, the positive power is revealed, and we can work with both of them.

These forces will not annihilate but will complement one another. And we will be between them, as a useful burden.

Question: Does asking of the Creator mean asking of the friends?

Answer: No. Asking the Creator and asking the friends is not the same thing. The Creator is not a friend. We say: “Me, the group, the Creator,” which means that I must connect these three parameters and try to see that they are interdependent.

Imagine that just how you establish relationships with the friends, you also establish a relationship with the Creator. You need the force of bestowal in order to establish the right relations with the friends, and I ask the Creator for this force.

First, I must connect to the Creator, but I do not have the power to do it, and so I turn to the Creator (1) in order to receive the power to connect (2) from Him.

It makes no difference how I turn to the Creator, but I need this force in order to connect to the friends, because without it, I will not be able to establish any connection with them. I am a individualist and I do not want any connection with anyone. People who reach the wisdom of Kabbalah are absolute individualists.

My request from the Creator is to receive the power to unite with the group (3) from Him. With this power I turn to the group, receive its influence, and thus find the Creator. This is how it works (green line in the drawing).

First I use the Creator in order to have the power to connect, and then I already discover it as the Creator.

Question: Should I integrate the desire to receive in me?

Answer: Of course, we cannot do anything without the desire to receive. It must be in us, but we need to use it correctly. How can we receive, absorb, and perceive all the attributes in us and then, with their help, bestow unto others?

Question: What should I do with the desires of the nations of the world? Should I integrate them in me as well?

Answer: Yes, you should integrate their desires too.

Question: How should I raise their desires to the Creator?

Answer: Only in the group, in the ten. By uniting, you begin to feel how it attracts and repulses you, and to what extent all this must develop inside you.

Studying in a group by collecting and assembling different people as one integrality is very interesting work by which you will begin to feel that you create an independent entity between you.

But at the same time, you need to work on it correctly. Usually people hear and think that it is not important; it does not really have to be this way. But it is the practical study in the ten that is most productive, efficient, and necessary.

Question: Several years ago when answering a friend’s questions about his difficulty to integrate in the group, you said that if he cannot rise above himself and integrate in the group, he should completely dedicate himself to dissemination because this action can replace the work in the group.

Is this still valid today? And in general, is the advice that you gave several years ago still valid today or is there an expiration date?

Answer: My advice has no expiration date, but it does have a fulfillment date. I have students who live in Alaska, Southern Australia, the Andes, and in distant places around the globe where there is no one around them, nothing.

What can they do? They can only listen to the morning lesson and sometimes connect through the Internet.

What can they do? Disseminate. Where? On the Internet. By connecting through the Internet you can start disseminating our materials, my Twitter tweets, etc. as much as you can.

It is a must to participate in the common work with others although no one knows you, and even if you do not have a virtual group, you are still adhered in every other way.

So, dissemination can replace everything. If you disseminate seriously, from the bottom of your heart, with all your strength and abilities, even if you are not in a group, you will eventually find your ten.

Question: How can I become a bird and take off to infinity if I was created a small fish and placed in a stinky pond?

Answer: Your development does not depend on whether you are a fish or a bird, but on whether you want to get closer to the group where you find yourself. The Creator has not brought you to it for no reason.

This means that you can choose your friends and together you should try to create such cooperation between you to establish such a relationship that will absolutely resemble the right corrected soul.

If there is mutual bestowal in the group, mutual love, and mutual support, you will begin to feel the Creator’s presence in it.

We will suddenly feel more power in our common desire to be together in the ten, more power of connection, of mutual reliance, of mutual attraction, and a good and wise power that will gradually determine our spiritual state, and this will be the gradual revelation of the Creator.

Everything will become very simple. Begin to connect between you in a nice way and you will undoubtedly reveal the power of the good in this connection.

In one of his articles Rabash says that we should see the Creator who guides us to Him behind every friend. We should perceive the friend as if the Creator is behind him and then we will see that the world suddenly becomes transparent, airy, and there is nothing other than you and the upper force, that “there is none else besides Him.” While everything else is but His presentation so that you will gradually focus on the Creator and see everything else as His attributes.

You will eventually reveal Him, and then you will see all the actions in the world on the levels of inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature and the human level, everything that happens before you, as the bestowal of the Creator who develops your attributes. By developing these attributes correctly with regard to the Creator, you begin to develop inside you the essence of the levels of still nature, the vegetative, the animate, and the human level, Aviut (desire) on the levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.

This is how you measure your connection to the Creator that can be on level 1, which is the level of still nature; level 2, which is the vegetative level; level 3, which is the animate level; or level 4, which is the human level. You connect all that to the Creator and then eventually everything is revealed to you. This is how we should actually assess good and evil.

Comment: But we need to ascend to this state in order to assess things internally this way and connect to society.

My Response: It all depends on the extent a person who has heard this from me gradually begins to clarify and implement this in life and to relate to the world responsibly, because he relates to the Creator through everything around him.
