Interconnection against the Evil Inclination

627.2Question: Why is it that we easily hear the arguments of the evil inclination, and then the good inclination comes and we are no longer able to hear its arguments?

Answer: Because our nature is evil, when we hear the arguments of the evil inclination, we accept them as our own.

Question: How does my inner fight with the evil inclination affect the group if I don’t work with it myself, post it, and discuss it in the group?

Answer: No matter how it happens, you still get included in your friends, and they get included in you. You’re connected anyway.

In principle, all people are connected and influence each other, but there are connections that we choose and want to develop, and there are connections that we do not choose and are ready to leave them as they are.

When Personal Problems Arise

938.03Question: If I have some kind of problem that lasts a very long time, related, say, to my health, I concentrate on myself and break away from the ten.

What should I do in this case? Do I accept it as the best from the Creator and ask for the strength to cope with it? Or ask the Creator so that my friends will not have such situations?

Answer: No, get incorporated in your friends and arrange yourself among them so that you are not visible. Melt into them, and you will see how it will affect you, your problems, and everyone.

The Secret to Solving Problems

243.01Question: How can one maintain a state of prayer while working in a group and not be more in a state of mind?

Answer: I will say only one thing: try to solve all problems in connection with the friends. That is it.
A problem arises—deepen the connection with friends. Another problem arises—deepen the connection with them again.

And you will see that only in this way can you solve all your problems because through this you approach the connection with the Creator. It is very important.

That will be throughout the entire path until final correction.

Hear Both Sides

594Our sages said, “It is a caution for a courthouse to not hear the words of the litigant before the defendant’s advocate comes,” since they will justify the argument of the plaintiff. (Rabash, Letter No. 68)

Question: What does this mean in spirituality, and how can we feel this in a group?

Answer: When we examine our behavior and our thoughts and find out where we want to turn them in our actions, we must listen to all sides and try to be independent of them.

There are many rules on this topic, but the most important thing is that we do not want to listen to only one side.

It is necessary to listen to both sides and put yourself in a neutral state.

231.04Question: Rabash writes that in proportion to the multiplication of good deeds, the Creator gives us gifts, as is customary between lovers. What kind of gifts are these?

Answer: Gifts are the revelation of the Creator’s actions. From them, we will understand the system we are in between us and the Creator.

Question: What are the actions of Maase Merkava (action of creation) and Maase Bereshit (primary action)?

Answer: These are actions of our assembly as we connect in the ten: men, women, and then all together we help each other. There are a lot of different nuances here.

Question: What volume should a friend’s prayer take up in my prayer?

Answer: I do not think it can be measured. You have to make sure that your friend’s heart is together with your heart.

Question: How do we hold on to the Creator in the group?

Answer: By holding on to Him together.

Question: How do I keep my friends in the group?

Qualities Implemented in the Ten

522.01Question: How are the qualities of “father,” “mother,” and “embryo” implemented in the ten?

Answer: All your inner movements toward each other add up together, and you form one single mother and one single father.

By connecting your desires, you reach a state called the “uterus,” the place where the embryo develops, i.e., interconnection, mutual bestowal, and love. In it, the Creator is revealed between you.

Parents in spirituality are your friends who help you and pull you up.

Gradual Attainment

237Question: People who know the concealed part of the Torah are Kabbalists. But does a Kabbalist also have a part he has not yet attained?

Answer: Each person, even those who have already revealed the Creator, has a part that they attain and a part that they have not. We are not yet in the final correction.

Therefore, we always go in faith above reason, remove a small portion from the concealed part of the Torah, and turn it into revealed to us.

Question: The concealed part of the spiritual action is called a “candle commandment.” How should one act in the ten to reveal the light of the Torah?

Answer: By coming closer to each other with your hearts until you discover that fire and light are revealed inside them.

A War against Common Egoism

931.01Question: A person fights with his ego for connection with the friends. I just do not understand why I should pause here, and what happens at this pause. Will I fall if I pause?

Answer: No, at this pause neither retreat nor cessation of military activities take place.

You simply begin to better understand where you are, who you are fighting with, and why. This is a forced pause to reassess your strengths and goals. This is Hanukkah.

You must realize that with the understanding that you are now gaining, you again need to connect with the Creator and with all your friends in one single desire for love, bestowal, and mutual assistance, and with this go to war against our common egoism.

Question: What if you do not fight the war, but pray constantly?

Answer: This is, in fact, conducting the war, because we choose between two forces of nature: egoistic and altruistic. Any fight occurs only in our desires, intentions, and internal and spiritual actions.

The Light Our Ancestors Were Rewarded

275Question: Due to what in Hanukkah do we get additional strength to work with the vessels of reception?

Answer: It is due to the fact that once people fought for it, and now we use it. We try to connect and rely on the upper light that our ancestors were honored with during their Hanukkah. Therefore, no special actions are required of us.

We continue our usual work in the ten, remembering that we are in the days of Hanukkah, and thus attract the upper light that they revealed at the time.

There Are No Other Options

629.4Question: Hanukkah is a break in the war against the ego, when we set ourselves up for victory. But if we don’t win this war, what can we expect next?

Answer: We will definitely win the war against the evil inclination because everything has already been calculated from above. So, there’s no problem.

But to do this, we must come together in one heart, connect with each other, work together, and support each other only out of a common, mutually united desire. Then we will defeat egoism. There are no other options.

Question: Can we consider that in fact our job is easy, and thus calm ourselves down in order to go into battle?

Answer: We can. It is said that this is not hard work. Only those who develop a love for their friends see how easy it is.
