Inanimate nature, plants, and animals live according to their natural instincts. If there are good external conditions, they multiply, and if conditions worsen, they wither.

Man, however, adjusts the environment to his needs, changes it to make it more comfortable. If conditions are bad, man improves them: brings water to places where there is no water, lights a fire to make himself warmer, and even invents the refrigerator. He creates good conditions for himself.

If man did not create a favorable environment to live in, there would not be eight billion people on Earth today. Over the past hundred years, the world’s population has quadrupled.

There is no such rapid population growth in nature. But people strive to change nature—the inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature that surrounds them—in order to build a comfortable environment according to their egoistic interests.

There are no other such species in nature. Animals make their lives comfortable to some extent, they dig holes for themselves and even store food for the winter. But unlike people, they do not build power plants, gas stations, etc, but use only those forces they have received from nature without intending to improve and refine them in order to use them to build a more perfect world. Only man is capable of such a thing.

If humanity would advance correctly using all the resources given to us by nature, we will be able to rid ourselves of all problems. Through the correct connection between people, it is possible to correct our nature and come to a beautiful life.

Humanity is trying instinctively to use four qualities for building a society: mercy, justice, truth, and peace, but we see that the current state of society is the result of the incorrect use of these four principles.

If we learn how to use these principles—mercy, justice, truth, and peace—correctly, we will be able to receive all the benefits. These are the four foundations that distinguish man from beast, and with their help we build human society.

In the inanimate, vegetative, and animate world, there is no such concept as “society.” Although there are such communities as a close-knit anthill or a flock, everything works on the basis of instinct, controlled by nature.

But if a person wants a good life, then this is impossible without a properly organized society. Therefore, we must implement the four principles: mercy, justice, truth, and peace.

Truth is the most certain principle, but the problem is that we do not know it. Truth is the name of the Creator (Emet): the letters “Aleph-Mem-Tav” (א-מ-ת). “Aleph” (א) is the first letter of the alphabet, in the middle “Mem” (מ) is the quality of Bina, and the ending “Tav” (ת) is the last letter of the alphabet. This is how we receive the truth, the name of the Creator. With this word, these letters, the upper force created all the creation.

But we cannot govern human society by the quality of truth. So instead of truth, we use mercy, justice, and peace to somehow get closer to the truth.

Truth is complete bestowal, the nature of the Creator. Yet, since we are not able to act according to the quality of bestowal, called truth, we try in some way to get closer to it in order not to eat each other. These auxiliary principles are called mercy, justice, and peace.

These are not perfect principles, but in the absence of choice, we have to follow them in order to maintain a more or less normal relationship between us.

Question: According to Baal HaSulam, the particularity of recognizing negative feedback is such that the blow is perceived and delivered exactly in accordance to the level of development of humanity and a person himself. Are the impacts felt more today than thousands of years ago?

Answer: No. Thousands of years ago there were other kinds of blows. For example, if it rained, it destroyed the harvest or something else. And today it is wars, enormous suffering in accordance with the forces that a person has.

Question: Do you think that people are suffering more today than a few thousand years ago?

Answer: Physically, maybe less. But nature has another rule: to bring man to awareness, to understanding, to bring him to his senses.

Remark: This means that as mankind develops, nature begins to put more pressure on us. If a thousand years ago it affected us by, say, X kilograms, today it affects us by X+10.

On the other hand, we see that there was much more suffering before. Wars were constantly going on, and one simply could not go out to the street. Today, laws are much more humane.

My Comment: But people felt that suffering on a different level. We are unable to withstand physical suffering today, but we could then. However, now our higher-level suffering is moral. It is very difficult for me to explain this because nature, at different times and at different levels, relates to people from the point of view of integrity.

Nevertheless, nature’s task is to lead man to the realization that he must work integrally, in correct communication between all parts of humanity and with herself.

Question: Baal HaSulam writes that if humanity does not take into account the threat hanging over it and does not draw the right conclusions, then nature will defeat us, and then we will be forced to comply with the laws of bestowal. So it turns out that only punishment and suffering can help us and without them we will not be able to move?

Answer: Exactly. Only the carrot and the stick. But thanks to this, a person grows smarter, begins to properly handle the carrot and the stick, rises above his nature, and he himself becomes a man, he himself controls his nature with the stick and the carrot.

Truth, justice, and mercy‚—everyone selects which principle to act according to in this world. It is clear that we cannot be guided by truth because we do not know it; therefore, we choose something else. That is why we create different systems to help those who are weaker: pay benefits, help single mothers and young families, etc.

It is as if we want to compensate for what the Creator did incorrectly and unjustly. The Creator allegedly arranged injustice in the world and we see that the world is initially corrupted, but we do not understand what is involved with the correction. We try to perform a correction outside of a person instead of correcting him inside. This is the whole problem.

If we want to be guided by the truth, we must correct everyone. Instead, we correct the external connections between us, and therefore we do not see success.

It is very difficult to establish the truth because we do not know the internal reserves of a person, but only see his external efforts. However, one is stronger and more energetic by nature and the other is lazy and weak, and it is impossible to assess what efforts this work really takes for everyone.

We must take into account the internal forces of a person in order to demand from everyone equal effort in the work. The strong one can do twice as much work as the weak, but we will be considered as equal.

It is written that “Truth shall spring forth from the earth,” meaning from the desire. If we use our desire correctly, we will find the criterion of truth there and will be able to use it correctly.

It should become clear to everyone how much each person has received from nature, from the Creator, and how much each one has supplemented, and then everyone will be evaluated equally.

We can achieve the criterion of truth only if we all feel each other internally. We need to come to such a connection between us and the Creator and to reveal such a force of connection that everyone is ready to bestow upon the other with all their heart and soul. Then we will reach the degree of truth. We will no longer count who has done more and who has done less—everyone will give one hundred percent and the truth will reign.

This does not mean equalizing everyone, it means that we unite in such a form where everything starts to work out. There are two conditions: everyone gives everything they have and uses all their abilities for a common connection. Then we complement each other like ants in an anthill.

The revelation of truth turns the entire universe into a sphere: everyone is integrated into each other so that the quality of the Creator, the upper force of bestowal, is revealed within them. And in this way, we achieve perfection.

Human behavior in our world cannot be explained by clear-cut laws, unlike animals where everything is clear, obey rigid instincts.

A person does not have a clear division between good and evil; there is always something in the middle, which leaves some uncertainty. Therefore, we can never be sure that our decision is correct; we are always in doubt, questions, and ambiguity.

If the result were evident right on the spot you would take a bite of poisoned food and choke, you would do a good deed and immediately become famous. But we cannot distinguish good from evil in advance, and therefore we do not know what to do.

A person does not act like a plant or an animal that knows what to get closer to and what to run away from. Animals do not need laboratories to check the quality of food, they just need to smell it or lick it to understand everything.

Plants know what is harmful to them and what is useful, when to open and when to close. A person, however, does not know anything, he is born helpless and lives without knowing or understanding anything. Therefore, he needs the support of the environment, and even as an adult, he is always tormented by doubts.

An animal never makes mistakes if it is healthy. A person makes mistakes all the time, and even if they learn from them, they make mistakes again at the next step. He constantly falls and rises and makes corrections in this way. How can billions of people, each of whom make mistakes every now and then, connect with each other into a perfect system? It is obvious that this is not within our power.

It is impossible to govern the world by truth because we do not have it. Everyone has their own truth, and it contradicts all other truths. Yet, nature is pressing on us, forcing us to unite and complete each other, and even love each other so that each serves the other.

How can we build such a system? It will not appear by itself from nature; on the contrary, we will become more and more separated, and perceive others as enemies. When we start working on our correction, we realize how great this task is.

Truth is an instinct. Inanimate nature, plants, and animals exist according to their instincts, and therefore they do not make mistakes. A person does not have an instinct, i.e., a clear internal desire that directs one’s actions. That is why he is always asking questions.

For animals, instinct replaces truth by correctly orienting them. But a human has no instinct, and therefore he acts at his own risk or relies on what others say, and therefore constantly makes mistakes.

The country is splitting in two, arguing about who is best suited to be president and receive the reins of the country. But in the future, the people will rule the country because they will feel that only the upper force can rule, which they will attract into the population. In other words, the Creator will rule, but only if the people invite Him to reign.

Question: There was a notion that on the evening of November 3rd civil war was anticipated to break out in the US. Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon predicted the Democrats would refuse to recognize Trump, as they had previously stated, and will take to the streets starting discord; after which the social networks will kick in, and so on and so forth. Complete civil disobedience. The Democrats would incite this war.

People were stocking up on guns; those who do not know how to shoot, are learning to. People are buying canned goods and leaving big cities so as to not be there during any riots.

If it were possible to turn around Trump’s way of thinking in face of the current situation, what do you think the message should be with which he addresses the American people? What would you say in his place?

Answer: I would tell them, “We are Americans! All of us! We are all part of the same nation. There is no difference between us. Let’s stop playing black-and-white, Latinos or Europeans, anything at all! Let’s address each other as Americans!

And anyone who will try to cause a biased attitude among us will have us all express our hatred toward them. Let’s make this correction between us now that all the people would feel that they are treated equally by everyone!”

And then we can vote for an idea that doesn’t relate to color or any such things. And the idea is rather simple: All people want to live freely and confidently, without undue pressure, and to prepare a good future for their children.

This is, in fact, what should concern all people, the government, and all of humanity. What else can we do? We must make our lives and the lives of our children pleasant and convenient. This is within our power.

We will not be able to adhere to all the alleged freedoms that exist in America, though. We will not be able to allow a person to earn freely according to the current framework of laws, nor to let a poor person fall into a state that he can no longer rise from.

We must educate the population first and foremost. The problem of educating the masses is the most important one. America can set an example to the whole world and then the whole world will realize that in this lies its greatness.

Question: Knowing that there are two parties that hate each other, what should Trump speak of now?

Answer: “I propose unification, a truce, and a general program for improving the country. For us to gather together and start deciding: What is not working between us? There are no Democrats or Republicans. There is only a single nation, a single government.”

Question: There is a term “vaccine nationalism.” It is when a vaccine is developed exclusively for one’s own without common agreement to create a vaccine for everyone. Everything is kept secret, and all is done not for the sake of people’s speedy recovery, but for political or national interests. This is what is happening in the world right now.

If you think about it, why can’t we gather the greatest human minds together and have the whole world work for them so that they can create a vaccine as quickly as possible? Everyone would work for their benefit, helping them and thinking about their success. For example, lock everyone up at Oxford so that the focus would be on them. Clearly, the vaccine would have been produced a hundred times faster than it is now.

So why, even in times of such danger like we are facing now, can we not come together and make this decision?

Answer: Everyone wants to take advantage of this moment. We are talking about billions of dollars, Nobel Prizes, all the honor, power, everything you could want. Who would give that up?

Question: This means that health is not even considered here. The vaccine, in principle, is created not even for people to be healthy but in order to show off?

Answer: Only for that! Who cares about health?! What can we expect from people if God (the Creator) turned Himself inside out and made us opposite to Him? There are no boundaries here.

Question: What if everyone felt the danger that each one of us could get this virus and that we would be on our deathbed tomorrow. Now go and make a decision whether to gather all the minds for the vaccine to be ready tomorrow. Would people make this decision in such a situation?

Answer: No.

Question: This is unbelievable! I will die tomorrow. But if I make this decision now, then I and everyone else will live. And even in this circumstance would I still not make the decision to combine the efforts with the rest of the world and develop the vaccine together?

Answer: Well, in general, we see that the world is facing the threat of a thermonuclear war and other problems and nothing can be resolved. On the contrary, they think of how to use it before others in order to suppress, kill, and destroy others.

Human egoism is boundless, equal in magnitude to the Creator’s love for people. And that is why you cannot do anything about it.

Question: So, these two forces are in opposition to each other? Egoism and the Creator with His love.

Answer: Yes. That is why there is no limit to our hatred for each other.

Question: How do we get out of this?

Answer: I don’t know. I talk about it all, I try to convey and explain this to everyone as much as I can. But the fact is that people do not consider it, do not take it in, and I really do not see the future as bright as others do. I think that after this virus there will be major problems. We will be squeezed.

Question: Squeezed against the wall with no way out?

Answer: Yes. But anyway, somewhere, somehow, we will come to the realization that we have no other choice, and it will come with great suffering unless we decide to do something with ourselves before that. Therefore, I think that at some point, we will decide that we have to change ourselves.

Question: What is this “hole” in us that needs to be punctured so that we realize that the evil of nature exists in us?

Answer: It is the pericardium, the sac surrounding the heart. We need to make a hole in it so that a drop of light would enter. It will do the rest.

It will corrode the egoism, make it soft, malleable, receptive, and willing to realize what it is, what is happening with it and with others as well. Otherwise, it would be very difficult.

Question: So, thoughts about others appear only if this drop of light penetrates the person?

Answer: Yes.

Question: I did not quite understand: what is this place in the heart?

Answer: Our heart is enclosed in a shell. And this shell is so hard, so heavy.

Question: That is, the light will pierce it a little bit and enter it. And then the work will begin. Your personal task is to help the light make this hole in a person. What does it mean for you?

Answer: A hole is a lack (Hissaron). When a person feels that he absolutely must have the quality of bestowal, the quality of love, enter his heart because otherwise he does not feel others, and he cannot do anything about it even though he would like to, he cannot. And this feeling of hitting a wall (I cannot do anything!) will cause this opening to appear.

Question: Is this feeling of hitting a wall a joyful or a terrible one?

Answer: It is a feeling of dire need. It is a prayer and a cry, and the appeal to others with calls of urgency, cries.

Question: Does every person have to come to this? Or maybe a team, a small group to begin with?

Answer: I don’t think that everyone has to. At least a group like our group, our team.

Question: What will attract the rest of humanity to it?

Answer: They will see that there is something happening in this group that suddenly reached out to the Creator and managed to attract Him to itself.

Question: Will this group start radiating hope for all of humanity?

Answer: Yes, and everyone will see that.

The group is Israel, which has an inner connection with the Creator through which they understand that they are obliged to bring the quality of bestowal and love to the world.

Question: Is this the hole that will be made?

Answer: I think this is what we will do.

Question: Do you have this confidence?

Answer: Confidence, I cannot say. There is such hope and some inner feeling that this is possible, that the Creator will do it to us.

Question: It is still all Him, one way or another. Do you think that sufficient effort has been almost made for it to happen any time now?

Answer: Effort is all the qualitative and quantitative years, and in general, everything that humanity has done up to this day. It is all adding up.

Question: The terms “equality,” “unity,” and “freedom” have been known to us since the French Revolution. Both before and after it, people fought for these principles.

We see that humanity is included in a single system of economic, social, political, and cultural relationships, which are called globalization. But this is only an external unity.

You are always talking about sensory unity on the level of thought and desire. Could you describe how you see the connection of humanity at this level?

Answer: This is a matter of the distant future. Humanity does not ask such a question at all; it is not ready for it and is not able to do anything. The problem is not to force humanity into a state of connection, but to make it wish for it, and its desire would predetermine sensory unity, even to the point of a prayer to come to it. And today’s humanity is still very far from this.

Question: And yet, what should we come to? In all the sources it is written that humanity must become one. What should this final state be?

Answer: Humanity should present a single structure. There are absolutely different people, different interests, and different movements. Each has its own point from which it was born and developed. But we understand that we all have a common goal to create a structure that would be in an internal state of spiritual and worldly balance.

Everyone moves toward the same goal and supports each other. Mutual support in particular is the most important thing in the new society that must rise up after all the difficult periods that we are going through.

Our goal is very simple: to create a single system of humanity in which opposites would find each other for mutual support and form one common harmonious whole. When two opposites connect to achieve a common goal outside of themselves, then they exist in harmony.

We need to realize that with our qualities, we can’t do this right now. But we still have to come to this. Therefore, first of all, we must feel the need for unity, and then the impossibility of achieving it on our own.

Question: Can we say that we were originally designed as a single organism?

Answer: That’s exactly how it was. This is called the system of Adam before the shattering. That is, we already were in this state. We are all the souls, all our internal information records, the so-called Reshimot.

Kabbalah teaches us to work in three lines, which is very important especially in our time. We see that today in the world, the confrontation, the struggle, the contradiction between the right and the left is growing everywhere, splitting countries and peoples in two, and putting two camps against each other.

We feel this polarization even within families. In all developed and even developing countries, there is a huge distance between the left and the right, a split in society, in every country.

As we develop, egoism grows more and more, and therefore we don’t see that this contradiction between the right and the left is getting smoothed out. On the contrary, they are becoming increasingly distant from each other and colliding and arguing more. This is especially evident in America, where society is divided into two camps, the left and the right, which cannot find any common point. This rift is felt even within families.

Previously, there was no such contradiction between opinions on all issues, in relation to nature, ecology, weapons, family, sex, food, and absolutely everything. Instead of looking for points of convergence and understanding how to reach an agreement, we see that the two lines, the right and left, diverge further and further, become more polar and differ as East from West or North from South.

The distance between them is growing more and more, and there is nothing that would connect them. The further the world develops, the deeper this split will become, and hatred, rejection, misunderstanding, and unwillingness to understand each other will increase.

All this is awakened in human society by the Creator. America is splitting into two hostile camps as if there are no other approaches and parties other than the right and the left. And nothing can be done about it because this is nature.

Nature is not going to help people connect; on the contrary, it will divide them into two equal camps, as we now see in the United States. How is it possible for a society to split exactly in the middle with millions of people on one side and millions on the other against each other in such a way that a few units of preponderance decide who will become president of America?

In such a situation, there is no president at all because he should stand in the middle between these two lines. Two lines are revealed in any modern society in order for us to establish the middle line, that is, the Creator, who should reveal Himself and establish a connection between us. Otherwise, we will not be able to exist and will be at war with each other without any compromise and possibility to reach agreement.

There is no middle line; it can only come from above. This is how the world works, this is how nature works. Therefore, Kabbalistic groups working on getting closer to the upper force, to the purpose of creation, who are called Israel, aimed “directly at the Creator” (Yashar Kel), will be in the center of the entire world, in the center of everyone’s attention, and they will have to provide a connection between the left and right lines.

The entire world will be divided into right and left. And between them there are a few thousands who are called “Israel,” who will be responsible for the fact that billions of people on one side and billions on the other side cannot connect with each other. Therefore, we must learn the middle line, which is determined by the upper force, as it is written, “He who creates peace in His celestial heights, may He in His mercy create peace for us’’ and help us to develop correctly.

The state that is revealed in the American election shows us what the future of the world will be like. American society is more developed, and therefore this contradiction is already evident there. The rest of the world is still lagging behind, thanks to religious and cultural traditions. In America, however, all the nations are mixed, and therefore it is so obvious that the two parts of American society are completely separated from each other, and there is no one to connect them.

How can someone who is one hundred percent accepted by one side and one hundred percent not acceptable by the other side, by half of the country’s citizens, be the president? How in this situation can there be a president who stands in the middle and controls everyone? This is absolutely impossible.

There is only one possibility: to reveal the upper force that will connect the two camps together. The revelation of the upper force and the global connection is our work as Kabbalists. This will soon become clear, and we must be ready for it. The world will want this; it will come and ask for this.

The world will be splitting into two parts more and more, and we will need to attract the middle line from above so that it begins to dominate both poles, leading them to the agreement. The president can be neither from the left nor from the right, but only standing in the middle and leading to connection, to the middle line that the wisdom of Kabbalah reveals.

Coronavirus is a spiritual virus, not in the sense of some kind of mysticism, but because it reacts to the spirit that reigns between people. It enjoys and feeds on the hatred between us, and it develops and lives within it.

Therefore, it manifests itself and begins to gain strength fueled by our unkind relationships with each other. The more anger, rejection, and conflicts between us, the more comfortable the virus feels, multiplying in this nutritious environment.

Doctors and psychologists warn of the serious consequences of prolonged isolation of children at home. But in order for children to be able to return to school, their parents must change. Adults need to correct their bad behavior, their mutual alienation, and hatred. The egoism existing between us, the impurity, gives food to the virus, and provides it with a living environment.

Only mutual rapprochement can disinfect the place where the virus lives. The virus lives inside our hatred for each other. Obligatory distance separates us and does not allow us to get closer, and all this space is filled with hatred, claims, and discord. This is a favorable environment for the virus, it multiplies in it, as if in a nutritious solution, like in a Petri dish in a laboratory.

If you put our relationships in a Petri dish, you will see how intensively the coronaviruses will begin to multiply in it. Until we begin to change, we will suffer more and more and die. The Creator has no other method of influencing us, but for intensifying our problems, until we all agree to correct ourselves.

We need to think about what needs to be done so that all humanity, all nations, and all families can live peacefully and happy on Earth. Otherwise, we will simply come to the end of our existence. Time for thinking has already expired; we urgently need to start acting. First of all, we need to understand what changes are needed and what new world we must enter.

Nature leads us into a new state. We must realize what is happening and bring ourselves in line with it. Until we do this, nothing will change. How can we get children back to school and adults back to work if we do not fit into this new world? We will have to stay at home until we understand that we must behave in a new way.

So it is happening all over the world. First, one, then another country suddenly flares up, as if a fire has broken out, and again calms down. The reason is not the virus, but our attitude to each other.

We are entering a new stage in the development of humanity, the peculiarity of which is that it is not nature that obliges a person to live in a certain way, but people themselves determine through their relations in what nature we will exist. We have already passed all the geological periods, nature has finished developing, and it is the turn of man. We determine by our inner attitude in what world we will live.

But even now, when the coronavirus dominates the entire Earth, we see that it does not unite people but divides them.

My Comment: We have come to a state where nothing will help us unite except realizing that only connection will raise us above our nature, above ourselves. We must achieve this.

Remark: If there was one God for everyone, then everyone would walk under Him, believe in Him, it would be good.

Answer: But it is not so, and it will not happen. There is no such God.

There is only one God, if we accept Him as God, and that is mutual connection, unity, and love. These qualities can bring us closer together and unite us. It can be called the highest property that exists in nature. That is what we need.
