Until now, the principle of this system was, “who is faster, who is better, who is stronger, who is smarter,” and now it is interconnection. Interconnection makes people equal.

Today, you can be smart or rich or special in something, but, still, you do not succeed in life because success—content, happiness, a sense of a result—comes from the right interconnection. We must lead people to this.

They will begin to feel how interconnection, goodwill, a sense of common destiny, and a common movement give a person the fulfillment that makes him want to be in the team.

Question: Let us say that over the course of integral education, people have felt one another very well and become friends. How is this beneficial to the employer? Friendship is good, but what will happen to productivity?

Answer: Currently, the available data shows how people’s stubbornness, their inner hostility, their lack of desire to work and advance, stalls any productivity and scientific research. Statistics show that the productivity of an unhappy employee is 40% less than the productivity of a happy one, and these are good results because usually, the “hidden rocks,” the different obstacles, and the lack of desire to work stall productivity even more.

However, the advantage of the integral interconnection comes through in a direct improvement of productivity, a decrease in absences due to sickness, better attitudes toward one another, a stable family, and improvement in every aspect. Not only does the person feel a general improvement in his mood and thus works better, and not only does he become friendlier toward others, but together, they all feel that their common work gives them something. The person becomes so fulfilled that the salary becomes less important to him than the pleasure he receives from work, even if it is a low paying job.

Man is a simple being; he is not a mechanism, nor is he an animal that blindly obeys its instincts. This is why when we refer to a “salary,” we imply the entire combination of pleasure a person receives from work, creativity, and his union with others, from the fact that he enjoys work, that he is not as tired since there are no more conflicts, that there is general kindness in his family since he comes home from work in a good mood.

This way, people start feeling so fulfilled by the general complex of sensations that according to the dynamic of the development of humanity, people will not be working for a salary. In reality, there will be communism, not the kind of communism the Soviet society practiced, but the kind that really will provide people with the necessary normal, rational existence. However, all his pleasure actually will come from the integral system because he will receive fulfillment, the feeling of kindness, and plenty of nice sensations from all the other people.

A person changes and thus, he needs a greater fulfillment. There is no way to avoid this. We see that namely in the countries that have high salaries and social assistance, for example, the countries of Northern Europe, a large percentage of people are depressed. And what about the number of suicides in developed countries? This is because people do not yet receive the fulfillment that they need at the end of their evolutionary development.

Baal HaSulam, “The Peace”: And besides the blows we suffer today, we must also consider the drawn sword for the future. The right conclusion must be drawn—that nature will ultimately defeat us and we will all be compelled to join hands in following its Mitzvot with all the measure required of us.

We are in one force called “nature“, the force of bestowal. We are the second force, the force of receiving. According to its size, we have to keep the balance, the equivalence of form with the force of bestowal.

Although we don’t know and are not acquainted with the force of bestowal, we have to work with the environment. If I keep the balance by receiving and giving in this world, then it means that everything is fine. If I want to give to the environment more than is necessary to keep the balance, it means that I advance by the path of “I shall hasten it,” accelerating my development. Then the force of my ego is evoked in me faster than in others and it is as if I rush forward leaving them behind since I am drawn to the force of bestowal. The force of receiving will grow inside me, thus hastening the emergence of the Reshimot (spiritual genes) so that they can be fulfilled.

On the other hand, if I lag behind the pace of the general development of the system of Malchut, which means the “assembly of Israel” and unity, then I feel pressure. The upper Light evokes the shattered Reshimot wanting to raise them to correction. If this chain of Reshimot develops faster, then it is good, and if it develops more slowly, then we feel the Light as bad.

On the whole, this whole system is called “this world.” In it there is Malchut, the “assembly of Israel,” meaning those who want to correct themselves and to attain connection and also the “nations of the world.” Everything is included here in Malchut. It is called the world. But it is hard for me to work with the whole world and so there is a small part before me, the group, in which I fulfill my corrections.

The Creator, the upper Light, has a beginning (0) and an end (100%). And we have no other choice but to reach the end. The question is only how exactly do we reach it. This is only what it is about.

We have been through three phases in our evolution: inanimate, vegetative, and animate. These phases are essential and no one asked for our consent.

But starting from the level of the “speaking,” we must be conscious and by our own consent, we raise a request for correction (MAN) and not otherwise. This means that the upper Light will pressure us every step of the way until we turn to it by ourselves with our request.

It is impossible to advance by sufferings. On the contrary, they force us to stand still until they accumulate and change our attitude to what is happening. Only then will we be ready to bow our heads.

In any case, without the preliminary deficiency, we will not be able to go through the phase of “speaking” in our evolution. It is because this phase requires understanding and recognition, which is possible only if I have a deficiency for it. However, on the levels of inanimate, vegetative, and animate, I advanced and developed without any understanding and recognition.

Baal HaSulam, “A Speech for the Completion of The Zohar“: At that time you will achieve equivalence of form with the Creator—as all His actions are to bestow and to benefit others, so you, all your actions will be only to bestow and to benefit others. This is the complete Dvekut.

Question: What is equivalence of form? How can I be equal in form if I am a desire to receive?

Answer: Suppose you want to resemble me. I play with you, I present myself to you in some form, and then you try to be like me: You do what I do, think like me and talk like me. The next day I present to you an upgraded form and you have to adapt yourself to me even more, both in your speech and in your actions and thoughts. I give you examples and you have to follow them; this is called an equivalence of form.

Here you may ask: “But how can I resemble the Creator if I don’t see Him?” It says: ‘Return to the Lord, your God.’ How can I return to Him, how can I become increasingly more like Him? At least, give me some example…”

Ask. Ask the Creator to give you an example, to show you who He is and what He is, so that you could be like Him. If you don’t ask, it means that you don’t want to be like Him. When all you really need is an example, you will receive it.

Question: I have a cat, I can teach it everything that I know, but will it eventually be like me?

Answer: A cat doesn’t have a point in the heart. You cannot teach it, you can only tame it. You can make something out of it, but you cannot make a human being out of it, since a human being,  Adam, means “Domeh – similar” to the Creator. A cat doesn’t have the starting point for that, it doesn’t have the initial spark; it doesn’t have a point in the heart.

If it weren’t for the point in the heart that entered the desire to receive during the shattering of the vessels, then we too would develop up to the level of the animate. But when we complete this phase, the point of the speaking level erupts in us. This is what is happening today to humanity: It has reached the end of its development on the “animate” level.

Everything began from scratch, from chaos. Then the level of the still nature appeared, then the level of the vegetative, and then the level of the animate. If there weren’t the point of the speaking in the animate level, the human being that belongs to the level of the speaking, then there would be nowhere to develop to, everything would end here.

This is the surprise and problem in our world: People don’t understand that they are facing a new level. They don’t understand because they don’t see it; it isn’t tangible, it is spiritual. All the previous levels were concrete, while the level of the speaking is not.

If I am on the level of still nature, I cannot identify levels that are higher than mine: the vegetative and the animate levels. There is a connection between them that is visible both to the lower and the upper, but I have no idea what the human level is, and to rise to it is a big mystery for me. What can I do, if I have no way to hold on to it, no examples, but only one great unknown?

This is the reason that the whole world doesn’t understand what is going on and cannot accept the message of the future ascent.

Initially, the desire created by the Creator was the part that serves as the point in the heart (•), Galgalta ve Eynaim (GE). This is called “Israel” which means “Yashar-El” (straight to the Creator). Abraham took the people who belong to this part out of ancient Babel, while the other Babylonians without a point in the heart remained.

Then by the shattering, the destruction, the points of Israel fell and were mixed with the matter of the desire. This is the exile of the people of Israel, the mutual incorporation of the attributes resulting in every person having a point in the heart today.

Still, it is very hard for people to see that there is another phase in their development before them, another level that is of a higher quality and is more essential and powerful than the “animate” level. Imagine that you could only see plants on the surface of the earth. How different would this picture be from the next level, with the animals, birds, fish, and people with their civilization.

Now, when we are facing a new level, no one understands it and no one can perceive the need to rise to it.

Question: If the point in the heart determines everything, can I be compared to Pinocchio today?

Answer: Without the point in the heart you would be a “log,” but in this log there is something else, and so when Geppetto begins to cut it with his axe, it cries out; this is “the point in the heart” that raises the voice of man. Everything else in us is indeed only a “log.”

The next level cannot be formed from nothing. So the people who feel a need to develop come to us, to Bnei Baruch, in order to advance by love, with an inclination upward. Others will have to develop by the path of suffering in order to reach this level.

If the point in the heart doesn’t stand out and doesn’t remind people that it exists, only sufferings will push them forward. The point draws people forward while the sufferings push them from behind. It is like a dipole and everything depends on what moves you—whether it is Torah or suffering.

Question: How can it be that a person becomes an active part in the system if it says that the Light does everything?

Answer: The system already exists in perfection and splendor in a state called the world of Ein Sof (Infinity). All the shattering and the concealments, and all the restrictions and the conditions, are relevant only with regard to the created being in order to allow him to gradually attain the whole system.

So we have to start from the state that is most distant from this wholeness. A person actually goes through part of the process unconsciously, in many previous incarnations. We did not begin our correction consciously straight from the “Big Bang“, from the first particle of matter that was created by the spark of the Light billions of years ago.

And it wasn’t yesterday that we climbed down from the trees and turned from apes into human beings. It is a very long process that goes through many changes from one generation to another. Eventually, we have arrived at the life we are living now in which we have to complete this work and clarify things! The most important thing now is the recognition both in our mind and in our feelings.

So everything that happens in this world on the physical, corporeal level has to receive only what is necessary for its existence in order to provide the animal body with what it needs, but all our development has to be on the human level. This is how we should arrange our life and this is how we should focus our attention so as not to deal with the animal level more than it is necessary for its existence.

We should focus all our attention on the speaking level by looking for the human being in it. How can I separate it from the animal to take it out of this confusion and to deal specifically with it?

Here, everything depends on the society, of course. If a person is cut off from the environment, then there is no way that he can advance. It is because he has to create his human image, by cooperating with all of humanity or at least with the group he was brought to. If he perceives the group and the connection with it as absolutely essential, then by this connection he builds his human image.

The main thing is to hasten time. If the Creator has already brought a person to the good fate and told him, “Take it,” then from now on everything depends on you, and all you have to do is to find out exactly what you have to take and how to arrange everything.

Question: How can individuality be retained in an integral world?

Answer: Egoism does not die, it constantly fuels the “we,” and your “we” always keeps growing. Then you will discover that your egoism keeps constantly growing.

As a result of common egoistic development over thousands of years, we have come to a certain level of fulfillment and have become round. And now we are a society which does not wish to think about anything, a society where drugs and entertainment rule, and we do not need anything else.

As soon as you begin to perceive the integral society and include yourself in it, a new kind of egoism appears, “round” egoism, which grows when your individual egoism pushes it up towards the next level.

Today, many people feel like they are losing their individuality because nature nullifies it, and people find that they are lost; they do not know who they are, what they are, and what their purpose is. Today they can no longer realize themselves as they did in the past before egoism became round; today there is nothing they can realize themselves with.

This is why the generation of the last 40-50 years is considered to be the lost generation. It is called that way because egoism has stopped growing; people do not feel the need to make a family, to have children. Why should I strive towards anything, make plans, discover new planets, as if there were anything out there. Desire has disappeared, egoism has stopped growing; it has become round.

Begin to adapt yourselves within this new form of egoism and you will see how it will begin to grow within you, but in a round way, the circle will either begin to expand or rise. This is our next stage. In other words, the form of egoism has changed, it has become global and integral; further growth will continue and it will be beautiful.

We will begin to see absolutely new forces and new interconnections in nature, we will be attaining nature, and we will suddenly discover fields, laws, and forms Einstein could only have dreamt of.

The new mechanism of feelings and mind will enable a person to feel all of nature holistically, see its entire diversity, and perceive in it the forces that govern everything, the network of forces, which he will discover himself. He will create an analog of the common nature inside himself; he will begin to delve into all of its layers. This is a completely new science, about which little is written, the next inner stage of development.

Humanity will discover this stage of development. And once it begins to develop altruistically, increasingly strengthening the inner connection between them where gradual unification, mutual feelings, and understanding take place, which will continue until this common network of interconnection turns into a completely analog connection, then we will lose the perception of time.

This is the entrance into the field of forces where mind and feelings exist and matter does not. Now we only perceive it in our egoistic senses. As soon as egoism fully transitions to altruism, a full interconnection between us, the perception of the existence of matter will disappear.

Question: What is special about The Book of Zohar?

Answer: First, it is special since Kabbalists wrote it.

Humanity climbed down from the trees and began to evolve until the first eruption of the ego during the time of ancient Babylon. Then the method of correction was revealed in this first egoistic wave. Because people couldn’t overcome the great ego by themselves, they began to look for means to do so and found the wisdom of Kabbalah that enables a person to overcome the evil inclination through connection.

Those who began to use this method in order to correct themselves are called “Israel” which means Yashar—El, “straight to the upper” (ISRA-EL).

In the meantime, the ego continued to grow even more and all the other nations went on as usual.

Then the ego grew in the Israeli nation and as a result they went down to Egypt. Some went a bit further down, and others received the Torah in order to overcome the separation. It is about the same Kabbalistic method, and the difference is that now it is adapted to the great ego that was revealed in Egypt, which is already specified and divided into different strange desires that have to be corrected under different conditions, in different events, connections, etc. In order to go through this process we need a method called “Torah.”

Abraham’s work in Babylon was easier if we may say: to rise above the ego to the Creator (Boreh) in love and connection and to do what is good for others, for strangers, since the ego wasn’t specified then.

Abraham gave the rest of the world religions (Dat).

By that he paved two paths, but the difference between them wasn’t so big yet. Yes, these are two opposite attributes, in order to receive and in order to bestow, but in a rather minor “thickness” of the desire.

On one hand, a great ego called “Pharaoh” was indeed revealed in Egypt, and on top of it everything that is in a person, everything he is made of internally: attributes, discernments, thoughts, and desires. This means that in the time of Moses (Moshe) the crisis of the shattered soul was revealed (Neshama), which was unknown before. This is already a totally different level and so accordingly the Torah was revealed.

Later as the ego grew, the children of Israel built the first Temple with the help of the Torah and by that attained their end of correction. After the destruction of the Temple they built the second Temple and then the long descent began.

Here, before the end of the descent, The Book of Zohar was written. On one hand, great discernments of the previous level were still kept here, but on the other hand, the last level of the ego began to appear. Therefore the authors of The Zohar relied on all the 125 degrees with regard to the destruction and with regard to the attainment.

This is why The Book of Zohar is very special: It includes all the Light that will be revealed in our times on the background of the biggest ego that will bring us to the complete end of correction. The Book of Zohar symbolizes this state and tells us about all the states of the end of correction. These are the states Rabbi Shimon’s son Rabbi Elazar especially speaks about.

We have been through an interesting phase of the general human evolution.

After humanity has evolved for hundreds of thousands of years, it has reached the end of its development. In our time, we feel it as a general crisis that is not just an individual transition in technological, political, social, and economic aspects of our life, but something that is totally new!

Therefore, we have no idea what this new world is, this new regime, this new state. It is impossible to see them in our ego because they have to be revealed in a totally different attribute, in the attribute of bestowal. For the first time in history we will go through such a change, such a transition phase, and we have to pass through it.

By evolving for ages, humanity has reached its full egoistic ripening, and if the fruit is not eaten on time it begins to rot. We have reached this phase, which according to the wisdom of Kabbalah is called the “recognition of evil.”

Negative states will force us to correct ourselves, either by suffering or consciously.

Until today humanity has evolved automatically, instinctively, as the ego pushed us from the inside and people were not free to do anything by themselves. People acted unconsciously by the force of desires and their formations that were revealed under the pressure of external forces, but this is over now.

The correction must be conscious. This means that first there is the recognition of the actions and the actions against one, since otherwise it will be automatic, egoistic actions again without any participation on our part. It is because the rest of our evolution is built only above the ego and in contrast to it. Here we have to develop a second component which is above the egoistic, an altruistic one, and to advance together.

We have come along a certain way in our egoistic development and now this phase is over. Starting from the 21^st century, the egoistic and the altruistic evolutions should be parallel.

The upper component (see the drawing) are our efforts and the lower component is the way by which the Creator pushes us forward by summoning uncompromising actions in us, disregarding our responses. Thus we advance.

Later, nature, the Creator, will push us forward, but it will already be by considering our efforts.

My Comment: Rather than going the way of his internal development, putting on the clothes of the Reflected Light (OH), acting anti-egoistically, the human being preferred external development, creating around himself the environment (houses, clothes, courtyards, and walls) that isolated him from Nature, the Creator.

Today, we find that this tactic has not led us not to freedom, comfort, or security; Nature becomes more and more aggressive, and no shelter can help us. On the contrary, instead of isolating ourselves from Nature, we must change ourselves to become similar to it, changing our desires from egoistic to bestowal, connection.

Thus, we reach harmony with the fundamental law of Nature, the Creator, and will perceive all His actions on us as good. That is, if until now the acts of Nature, the Creator, made us detached from Him, then today we must begin to bring ourselves to conformity with Him.

Question: It says: “I awaken the dawn and it isn’t the dawn that awakens me.” Is there a certain sequence of internal events that allow me to awaken the dawn as quickly as possible without any delays and to establish the connection with the group and with the Creator?

Answer: We can only hasten time and the desire to become Adam (human).

According to scientific data, the universe is 15 billion years old. Humankind has developed for hundreds of thousands of years, and it is only in the last 30,000 years that we have begun to approach the true level of Adam. This evolutionary process takes time.

As people grow older they suddenly feel that everything is so temporary, “Life has gone by and I haven’t even noticed…” This is our corporeal existence: it goes on and suddenly you feel that you are old and that you are about to “leave the scene.”

In spirituality it is different. In spirituality you know and feel how many discernments you have been through, how the world has advanced and what people have learned by approaching spirituality.

There were long periods of “delays” in history. The last exile lasted for 2000 years, and the great sorrow is that the process seemed to be halted from Above. People suffered simply because there were not allowed to advance towards the goal, they burned and yearned for it, but there was only darkness in response.

Now, however, the opposite is true: I am given everything from Above, even more than I can absorb, but the trouble is that I don’t need it; I actually want other things and suffer because I don’t have them.

We find ourselves in the middle, in the “section” between exile and redemption, as the attitude from Above has changed. Today things have been “opened” for us from Above, all the doors are open and the food is actually brought to our mouth, and all we have to do is to open our mouth like nestlings, but we don’t want to…

In order to awaken the dawn, we have to start by “mechanical” actions. It is because during the spiritual descent a person is “dead,” still. So start moving, organize a clear and accurate daily schedule and make sure that you follow it carefully. Look for different things to hold onto, take upon yourself different tasks that cannot be avoided…

There are many hours of powerlessness ahead. In such case, I for example, begin to work on articles by Baal HaSulam and Rabash. It is a kind of “hobby.” I correct them, delete commas, change words and phrases, and put them in a simpler language, etc. By this mechanical work we try to get back on track. It is because in the current descent we have nothing internal left, and we can only make external efforts. We need mutual guarantee, support from the friends, and a rigid schedule is necessary.

In any case, the exit from the descent depends on our efforts. Therefore it says that Israel hasten time. The Light comes from Above, of course, but we awaken it.

On the whole, we are advancing at an extraordinary speed these days, and I really have great hopes regarding the Arava convention that will be held this weekend. You will see. It will be much more qualitative than the previous conventions and we will feel discernments that we can organize and compare with each other.

An inclination, tension, readiness and the ability to stay “fit” and navigate ourselves internally is building up in each of us, as if we are holding a steering wheel in our hands. A person actually has to feel, to discover this “steering wheel” inside him: The road is opening before us and internally a person constantly stabilizes himself on the road and stays off the shoulders of the road.

We are so close to that, so close to this mutual control when I know how to behave with the Creator, and then I can actually “drive” by myself…
