Study Every Day

557Remark: All training systems and practices, in principle, are designed to enhance the perception of information. A person who can remember more information and then use it is considered smart. Such people are very advanced and make a lot of money.

My Comment: Earning money, getting ahead in our world, doesn’t mean anything. A person who has absorbed everything that was given to him and forgotten it is considered to be smart.

What does forget it mean? Ask me something. I don’t seem to know anything, I don’t remember anything. But as soon as we start to solve some problem, you will see that I really knew something, learned something. I’ve been studying all my life.

Remark: In order not to forget the information, it is useful to repeat the material from the previous day. You, too, always advise us to re-read the article covered in the lesson during the day.

My Comment: Yes. But this is short-term memorization.

Question: You also advise to study a little, but every day. Why?

Answer: Because the brain constantly absorbs a small amount of information. We must change the person. And if you don’t feed him like a small child every day, then he does not change.

If he comes to the courses every few days, then between visits you do not influence him, and he gets completely different impressions of our world. Therefore, daily activities are simply a must! It is said about this: “If you miss one day, you lose two days on it.”

Our job is to change the inner person.

Envy Is A Means Of Advancement

600.04Question: Envy is the desire to have what another has. The famous philosopher Spinoza defined envy as displeasure at the sight of someone else’s happiness.

What is the reason for envy in a person? Where does this feeling come from?

Answer: Envy is born in each individual from his developed egoism. The achievements of another person, which he himself has not yet reached, awaken a feeling of envy in him.

Question: Envy is usually based on comparison. Why do we compare ourselves to others?

Answer: Because we are governed by the ego, which shows that there is still egoism nearby that is in a better state than ours. The comparison between these two states gives rise to the feeling of envy.

At the same time, envy is an element of development. If, looking at another, it seems to me that everything is better with him, then I also strive for this and thus, develop.

Question: Should we cultivate a feeling of envy?

Answer: Absolutely! Without this, we will not move forward! Even for a child, we instinctively set another as an example: “Look how he does this!” After all, we want his development.

Question: Envy can be both negative and positive. Which one propels a person forward?

Answer: Both must develop in a person, and as much as possible. But, at the same time, he must understand when it is positive and useful, and when it’s not.

Effect of the Circle Method

528.01Remark: The process of circles builds strong relationships and resolves conflict situations. It promotes openness of dialogue and change of motivation from external (i.e., as under a whip) to internal where a person already understands why he should do something. People work with the root of the problem, their egoism, and not just external problems. In addition, circles form a systemic vision.

Conclusion: the circle method is not only effective for communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution, but is also the basis for creating a society of the future.

My Comment: Sure. And we need to move toward this.

Question: Do you consider the round table as the only method that will be used by everyone or are there any other methods?

Answer: No. Except for the circle, there is nothing. We should strive to apply this methodology wherever possible, in all spheres of activity where more than one person is involved.

Question: Did you and your teacher also use this method?

Answer: There were two of us and he thought we were a group.

Question: So even two people can work according to the circle method?

Answer: Yes. So it is said: “The minimum of many is two.”

Round tables exist in order to bring a person, a group of people, even the whole of humanity, to a state similar to the integral law of nature. If they really unite and want to solve a problem, then they come as close as possible to the correct solution or at least to the highest resolution in solving this problem.

The Growing Role Of A Leader

265Question: Do you think it is right that every nation should have its own type of leader?

Answer: I think that today all this is absolutely obscured, and such concepts as a leader, a leading person, finally come to naught. In the next generation, we will already have spiritual leaders.

Question: Do you agree that in conditions of chaos the role of the leader will grow? Or, on the contrary, will the role of society, the role of the collective in decision-making, increase?

Answer: Society cannot make decisions. It can only obey and fulfill. Society needs to have explained to it the existing goals, and not to be ordered and kept under arms.

Question: Can a group of people be the leader, and not one person?

Answer: No. Maybe a group of leaders. But there must be one leader.

Question: So there should always be a leader in the future?

Answer: There will be one leader for all of humanity.

Deciphering The Tendencies Of Nature

628.3Question: Today everything is based on vocational training. Value-semantics or spiritual-personal guidelines are practically not used anywhere. Why is it not taught?

Answer: I believe that in our time we have entered a state where we begin to feel changes in nature. However, humanity has not yet absorbed it within.

Until now, it is not nature that has changed but its individual parameters within a very narrow framework. Today we begin to feel that the very attitude of nature toward us, the meaning and content of its effects upon us, is changing.

This is why we need to understand deeper why it changes, what happens to it. We seem to find ourselves in a slightly new environment every day, and we do not know what to do with it.

In other words, nature affects us every day in a different way, not the way it used to. This is not just an increase or decrease of temperature, pressure, humidity, and other parameters, but a change in the attitude toward us. We do not get it yet. Even if we do get it, we do not know how to react correctly.

We do not really understand what can be useful for us, what can be harmful, and how to be connected with it whatsoever.

Let us say I had my own company and I understood how I should behave with the employees, why we get together, what we do, how we work, and how we fill our leisure time. Suddenly I feel that their attitude toward me is changing in many aspects, but I do not know what to do about it.

I ask them, but they do not say anything, and they seem to behave as usual but, nevertheless, it seems to me that it is different. Suddenly some problems appear and I do not know why and from where. It seems that they do not require any new relationships, but it somehow matures by itself. This is the state in which we are now with nature.

I feel the way I previously acted toward myself, toward the surrounding society, and toward nature is not enough anymore. I need to choose some other mechanism of influence upon nature, another language of communication with it.

It is necessary to acquire such abilities in order to understand how to decipher the tendencies of nature and its impact upon us. After all, nature is the upper mind, the upper program, and not just some physical laws. This is why a person with ordinary sensory organs, with ordinary skills and abilities cannot decipher what it wants from him or her.

528.02The Main Job of Humanity

Question: You constantly speak about the method of the circle as a method of creating strong connections between people. The product of the action in the circle is a positive force of nature.

What is it about? You say that this will be people’s work in the future. What will they produce?

Answer: Generalization, connection, and unification of people, which will lead to the integration of all of humanity. And this is currently the biggest and the most important job of all people in the world.

Remark: Imagine a country where people at work and in the family use round tables and thus generate good, kind connections.

My Comment: This is the actual product of their activities. They don’t have to do anything else.

Question: And some of them will get paid for this?

Answer: They need to ensure a normal existence. It is quite possible that a certain part of society, half or even more, will be engaged constantly in organizing such actions for mutual connection in the form of circles.

Question: Do you think it will be possible to verify this with some measurements or research?

Answer: Everyone will be convinced that it is this connection between people that leads to abundance, to the fact that they can have everything.

Question: In other words, the effects of the product we are talking about can be measured in the economy, medicine, and everywhere else?

Answer: No problem. All this can be measured.

Our Faithful Assistant

115.06Question: A study was conducted at Harvard for 80 years where scientists have tried to figure out the main factor for happiness in people’s lives. They concluded that relationships between people is most important.

On one hand, we really want to be happy, and we understand that the most important factor is relationships. We invest a lot of money in medicine, devote a lot of time to a healthy lifestyle even though we understand that the decisive factor even for human health is the relationship between people.

And still, no matter how much we invest, we cannot fully realize, even purely selfishly, that relationships between us are the most important thing. Why?

Answer: Because egoism is a helper against you. It does not just push you to do what is good for you. This is a very special assistant that leads you not to achieve the most comfortable animal state, but to achieve a higher state. Only in a special way.

Selfishness is built based on the fact that you abandon it and rise above it. It is constantly pushing for this, but in exactly the opposite way.

Therefore, in the material world there is no greater helper for our development than egoism although it constantly confronts us with ourselves. It constantly pushes us to struggle, to opposites, to contradictions, all in order to find out who we are, what we are, what we are for.

Lessons in the Form of a Round Table

528.03Question: What is the main difficulty in organizing lessons in the form of a round table? What should we pay attention to?

Answer: It is very difficult to make a round table from a lesson because a lesson requires a teacher. If the teacher excludes himself from this circle and is present as an outside moderator, then it is another matter.

Question: In what do you see the difficulty in organizing such a round table?

Answer: The difficulty is in the students themselves, whether they are ready for this, whether they understand the importance of doing exercises in this way.

Hierarchy In Management

284.03Question: How can we combine collective management with vertical management? To what extent should the boss or leader take the opinion of the people into account?  Should this be done  only when he or she does not have enough information to make a decision?

Answer: We take into account the opinion of the people only when it is necessary to make common actions to solve problems, but nothing more.

Question: So there should be a hierarchy in management?

Answer: Management must be vertical. And a collective must be a collective. A manager must take care about the understanding of the task, the goal to be reached, the solvability of this task, its sequence. For all this should be agreed between everyone, accepted, approved, and everyone should be inspired by the implementation of the task.

Question: In this process, do we need to take into account the opinion of every person? Even in an organization employing several hundred people, not to mention the state?

Answer: You can hold a meeting, maybe even more than one, in order to make the need and sequence of actions clear to everyone.

Question: So it is important for a leader or a manager to hear the opinions of the people, but they have to make decisions by themselves?

Answer: Yes, they listen to the opinions of the people, and it is good for the subordinates to know where everything should lead. There is always room for some mistakes, an opportunity to fix or improve something, and the subordinates themselves will prompt their managers.

Remark: This is all about solving easy tasks. And if you need to solve a serious problem where there is a lot of confidential information and the people do not have this information, then it is quite difficult to make a decision.

My Comment: Then the making of the decision is split into certain segments. At the same time, we must try to do so that a team is involved in their implementation.

Examples And The Perception Of Information

621Question: The process of perception of new information goes through stages. The first stage is selective, a way of capturing information, then there is recognition based on some associations, followed by interpretation, assessment of the significance of the information, its understanding. And, finally, is the retention of information. Do you agree with this?

Answer: More or less. But all this is very difficult for a person. Let’s say I’m starting to get to know something and I have to check myself against this long list to find out how much am I in this flow of information or in its absorption within myself. This is almost impossible.

Remark: Scientists say that it is important to link new material to clear examples. Otherwise, the material will not be absorbed. For example, it is useless to tell a person about mutual guarantee unless we provide some examples.

The sages knew about this a thousand years ago and wrote the study materials (in the sources) in the form of stories. So when you talk about mutual guarantee, imagine someone drilling a hole in a boat, it all becomes very clear.

My Comment: Sure. In principle this remains, only a lot of data and conditions are added.

Question: I think that it would be a good idea to give various examples in our explanations. For example, when you say: “You must become as round as nature or reflect its laws,” what can I imagine?

For me, nature is forests, groves, the cosmos. What examples could you give when you say that man must reflect the laws of nature?

Answer: One should simply study what nature really is, its laws, what is it trying to tell us. One must acquire some new skills, knowledge, and expand one’s perception.

Question: You often say that the solution to any problem is in uniting humanity. And here the question arises: What picture should I imagine? What does uniting mean? Everyone understands this in their own way.

Answer: Unity is a connection between several completely different beings, concepts, or knowledge when they have a common platform.

The basis for all objects and phenomena lies in desires. And if the desires are directed at unification, then people are looking for some kind of foundation or platform. This usually leads to the fact that they outline for themselves the next, more elevated state and strive for it, and help each other.
