Question: What is the spiritual meaning of money?

Answer: The word “money,” in Hebrew “Kesef,” from the word “Kissufim” stems from the root to yearn (which also implies a cover, a coating Masach, a screen), which means that we can build a screen in order to regain the Upper Light. and this is actually the way to get it back.

Therefore, in the spiritual sense of the word “money” is the power of reforming our ego and of attaining the revelation of the upper, of the Creator, by the Returning Light. This is the spiritual meaning of money.

The more anti-egoistic the screen a person has, the more he can reveal the upper world, the Creator, and thus become greater, attain more, and thus be called “rich.” It is because richness is measured by the degree of bestowal, by the degree of the attainment.

If I can receive the Upper Light and convey it through the screen to others, I am rich! It is because by conveying the Upper Light through me to others correctly, I receive a double portion of the Light. I have to receive it to perform an internal action of conveying to others and then I receive twice as much.

Not bad arithmetic, a good business! So engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah and be rich!

Question: We live in the world that is undergoing radical changes in society, politics, human psychology, and in particular, consumer psychology.

There is an extraordinary excitement around November 25, called “Black Friday,” because this is a day when goods are sold for special discounted prices in America and in many other countries in the world. Shopping turned into entertainment and the means of receiving fulfillment. People go crazy, lining in the very long queues, sleeping in tents in front of stores, waiting for them to open. There was a case in 2008, when the crowd that burst through the doors trampled a Wal-Mart employee. Shopping and acquisitions became the main value of the modern society and culture. What caused such a thirst for consumerism in the modern world?

Answer: The fact that we are used to evaluating a person according to his wealth: how much he is worth, how much he owns. We look at the exterior of the person, checking how he is dressed, how he behaves, what car he drives, the house he lives in, who his wife and children are, and what his position in the society is.

Although in our time, the external form has begun to lose its significance. Once it was very important and everyone had to appear exactly according to his status. A person was accepted according to his appearance and it determined who he is and to which social stratum and class he belonged.

This is not quite true in our time. When we see a man in a strict black suit, white shirt and a tie, we are likely to think that he is a lawyer. But even among businessmen such clothes are not considered mandatory anymore. And when I met with scientists, they were dressed very simply, in sweaters. People began to pay less attention to clothes.

But the interest in shopping is still very strong because a person feels more secure if he buys something pleasant to his egoism. If I have a full fridge, full wardrobe, and a car, it means everything is ok with me. A person’s confidence in life is measured by these values.

For example, Americans feel confident if they have multiple guns in the house, “just in case.” Rich people, in order to feel safe, build for themselves bunkers and bomb shelters. Others grow vegetables in their gardens so that they’ll have something to eat in case of need.

In our time, people are under so much stress they begin to worry about the future. On such days as “Black Friday,” this hysteria spreads to the entire world. For the modern person, the culture of consumption is very important. However, as we develop, we pay less attention to external beauty, but appreciate convenient clothes more, comfort at home and in everything else.

It is especially characteristic of the young generation that thinks not about their good looks, but about comfort. After all, they are already concerned with the questions about the meaning and essence of life; they obscure the material life and push it the background.

Question: Yet there is an exaggerated interest in shopping that can be compared with bulimia, where a person buys things and returns them to the store. Where does this disease come from?

Answer: A person feels an inner emptiness that he hopes to fill with shopping. Even when choosing a profession, he doesn’t pay attention to his natural inclination, but thinks of where he can earn more in order to buy more. After all, our natural inner need is the desire to enjoy and receive, and people constantly aspire to what they lack.

Everyone has a standard set of desires that he tries to satisfy: food, sex, family, money, honor, and knowledge. But they are present in each one in different proportions, so all are drawn to different fillings. But all these fillings are acquisitions through which we hope to satisfy ourselves. Ordinary purchases are caused by a natural, normal desire to be filled, as well as by the influence of the environment. If others rush to buy, I also light up since we are in the same field of desires that are connected and influence each other. Therefore, if there is any fashion trend, I am also drawn to it.

If during this day goods are sold with big discounts, why wouldn’t we prepare a list of really necessary things in advance and buy them. The only problem is that usually, once arriving at such a sales event, a person doesn’t buy from the list the things that he needs, but begins to go crazy and grab everything, like everyone else. After all, ordinary people act according to the laws of the crowd that affect their opinion.

Only a special education can raise a person a little higher so he will understand how it works. He requires psychological preparation for this that allows him to understand why it happens this way, what for, where it comes from, and how he can relate to it in a more rational manner. All this excitement is fuelled artificially, and an ordinary person is sold to this advertising.

As a result, a person pays more money than expected, but gets the feeling that he lives like everyone and no worse than others, and is succeeding in life. He sees that he acted the same way as others, and in something gained even more than them. There is a competition here and the fulfillment for our egoism is bigger than usual. As a result, we clutter the world with things we never needed, and therefore, they are destined to be thrown away: food, appliances, and never worn clothes and shoes.

We limit ourselves this way. After all, following the crowd, behind the majority, we won’t achieve anything special. In order to achieve a special goal, we need to separate ourselves from the crowd, rise above it, and cut off from “mass culture,” the empty movies people entertain themselves with, accepting without criticism.

Question: As a Kabbalist, how does the current situation in the world seem to you? You constantly talk about big changes that await us. What are these changes?

Answer: The world is truly in a very unique situation; it is clear that a revolution is approaching. Understandably, this has no connection to Trump, he is just like a puppet on a string chosen for this role. The system is going to get a powerful and very important “upgrade.” In principle, it is possible to say that the world is in a process of a transition toward new values. It is happening gradually, people do not understand it yet. From the power of money, which is the main pillar of capitalism, the world is moving toward more “spiritual” values. This is also linked to the ideological influence that is affecting the spread of Islam in the world. The Muslims are not fighting for money but for their ideology.

I hope that we will see great changes in the world and this entire process will bury the liberalism that is so fashionable in the world today. After all, it has no real basis or possibility of being sustained; its existence is completely artificial. It has brought us to a situation in which people can no longer tolerate it. On the one hand, some of them have immense, unjustifiable wealth that has not been achieved through real labor but through stock market scams. And on the other hand, there are people who don’t have anything with which to live.

Understandably, it is impossible to restore industrial production in America. All of the developed countries have transferred manufacturing to China and other places where labor is cheap. It has already become impossible to bring it back, and there is no need for that. American workers cannot be paid the same salary that the workers in China receive. Therefore, it is simply necessary to switch to a new, spiritual, human industry. We don’t need to manufacture things, but people! After all, there is no shortage of food or clothing. There is enough to supply everything that is necessary to every person in the world. There is a surplus of consumer goods in the world so there is no problem in providing them to everyone. Also, these products cost almost nothing.

We must realize that the only thing the world needs to succeed is a higher power, the strength of connection, which will make us similar in nature. Therefore, those people who, through their union, will be able to help humanity become like nature, will be most in demand. This will be the new future of the profession, where people have to learn.

It takes years to learn this, and it should be done by all—millions and billions of people around the world. For those who can train people to unite, it’s a new job. It should involve all the media, because it is a whole system.

People will study, and this training and study will be considered work—spiritual labor, the work of the Creator, for which we get everything we need. About 90% of the world’s population will not find work in producing. The remaining 10% of the mechanical work will need to be distributed around the world somehow.

Trump is embodying this change if he will be allowed to carry it out. But it is already a distinctive indicator since he wants to take the power away from the banking and financial system and return it to industry. But industry will not be as he believes, that it will again begin to produce cars in America and resume heavy and light industry. That will not succeed. Rather, a new industry will be born: the production of humanity.

This will be the new trend in the world. Likewise, this is a trend that has been determined by the situation that is being created in Europe; the European Union will collapse. Everyone is crying that Europe is betraying the integral connection, but the European Union has never been a union, and certainly not integral. It was an alliance of banks to take as much money as possible and control everyone.

So if this union falls apart, it will only be for the better. We don’t need to associate this breakup with the crumbling of Europe. There was no union in Europe; therefore, there is nothing to be sorry about. After the EU falls apart, and there is no doubt that it will, it will be possible to talk about true union. After all, it is clear that the urgent need for union is ripening. At some point it will be possible to talk about union and connection in Europe in another form. But that will require integral education.

My Comment: The only solution to all the problems that lead humanity to annihilation is changing human nature, which should take place according to nature’s plan. A crisis is the birth of our future state, which we can attain not by changing the world around us, but by changing ourselves, by changing our nature from an egoistic one to an altruistic one.

Guys who are required to earn the lion’s share of the family income are less happy and less healthy than guys who aren’t. And the higher the percentage of the bacon a guy has to bring home, the bigger hit his body and brain take.

“The new study… looked at 15 years of data on married people between the ages of 18 and 32 from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth. ‘The data definitely seems to indicate that, in general, as men take responsibility for greater and greater shares of the couple’s pooled income, they experience declines in their psychological well-being and health,’ says the lead author Christin Munsch, an assistant professor of sociology at University of Connecticut.

“The data suggests that men are at their lowest when they are their families’ only breadwinner. That’s when happiness scores fall to 5% lower and health scores 3.5% lower, on average, than when both partners pitch in equally.

“For women, carrying a heavier financial load has the opposite effect. As they earn more their psychological wellbeing rises. And when they earn less, they feel worse. Unlike the men, women’s health didn’t seem to be affected by their earning status within the family.”

My Comment: This situation causes men to feel pressure because man in modern society is not the same provider of the past who went hunting with a spear. Today there are such conditions of psychological stress that man didn’t have originally. Therefore, we can sympathize with modern men.

Women, on the contrary, feel more confident in stressful situations. By nature, she is more suited to psychologically withstand pressure. Men are suited to carry out physical activities, and women are suited to carry inner pressures. Women also get stronger through regular daily problems and men do not.

The current situation of humanity, society and the state is unnatural. The man who in principle is ready to work and provide a livelihood deals with huge sources of stress and is under many pressures that are very difficult cope with. The female mind is more suited to deal with such pressures. Women’s intuition and psychology is more prone to multiple, reusable, and multilateral influences and the men are not. Sorry men.

Question: Do we come closer to our roots by the measure of our correction?

Answer: Of course. We will remove all external completely unnecessary tensions and pressures, and a man will be able attain what he needs to—the material, and then the spiritual food.

We will all work reasonable hours to ensure our optimal corporeal fulfillment: food, clothes, etc. All the other contentment, first men will achieve from their spiritual work. If the spiritual work is realized in normal conditions, then it only strengthens.

Question: There are no tensions in it?

Answer: There is a lot of stress, but the stress is of a completely different order. If they come from efforts of constantly strengthening the connection between us and through this connection drawing the Upper Light, then they are positive tensions. But if the stress comes from the turmoil of daily life, from the tremendous amount of problems at work, with the authorities, with police, etc., then of course it is very exhausting to the male body.

Question: Will our standard of living decline as a result of spiritual stress?

Answer: To the contrary.

Why isn’t the European Union suitable for the weaker nations; how is it possible to reach a good and stable union between nations, and what does the wisdom of Kabbalah offer as a solution to the crisis with Greece?

From its beginning, there was no unity, there was no equality in the European Union. The strong exploited the weak for their own good. In general, the world economy is based on exploitation of the weak by the strong.

The solution can only be in a paradigm shift, when the goal of life will be equality and connection and not competition. We must begin educating people for a new life, a study of the trend in evolution toward which nature is leading us.

Connection between differences means that each one remains how he is in his nature, and everyone complements each other. Only after years of education and connection, will it be possible to establish a true European Union.

The European Union of today was built on a completely opposing view, the strong exploiting the weak. If we don’t teach Europe to advance toward true connection, anti-Semitism will become stronger and war is already on the horizon.
