Question: What is “the King’s honor” that a person can harm through his ego?

Answer: Regarding “the King’s honor,” this means that I accept Him as controlling me, organizing and managing my entire life, and everything that is within me and around me. Everything that I feel and think, everything that appears in my consciousness, comes from Him, from some source.

Suppose that I lose consciousness and then begin to regain consciousness. All of my emotions that I feel within myself and the world around me are derived from some previous source.

This higher source shapes and forms me and gives me the feeling that I exist within a physical body, within some context, with hands and feet, and that a whole world spins around me. But all this is portrayed in a single point within me, within my consciousness.

This point which describes its existence to itself, has a higher spiritual source called the Creator” He is called the Creator because He created me. And in addition to this, Creator (Boreh) expresses Bo reh (come and see), because I can come to Him and feel Him.

The Creator created within me, some point that feels itself as existing in a unique form, in a human body that is living in this world, in the universe. But this point has the possibility of expanding its perception correctly, such that from this physical picture that it gets from above, from the Creator, it can reach Him, its source.

This means that it must learn how it is built, how processes are taking place within it that seem external and seemingly happening in the surrounding world. From this it can attain the Source. But in the name of this, it must again gather inside it, all that seems external to it.

From everything that happens within my body, I must also locate this unique internal point, that connects from within to the Source, to the cause of its existence, and to the entire perception of this reality. This is a more advanced stage.

The problem is to understand, and mainly to feel, that the Creator determines all of my reality, my perception and also that of the world.

Imagine yourself as some kind of toy puppet, a little bear with a spring under tension that is managed by some kind of program that makes it move. But it has a special point within it so that it feels that it exists like this. And this point is the source of the soul, for everything else belongs to the Creator, the higher source that activates me.

But this point is the Adam in me, the beginning of the future Adam. All the rest belongs to the Creator and is managed from above. So from this point, it is important that I begin to understand my life and who it is that manages it. This is called, “from your deeds we are aware of You.”

I look at the deeds that He carries out with my point, at how He forms my “self” and this whole world, and from this I become aware of Him.

In this way, I ultimately attain the Creator.

Question: How do we ask for the Light to change us if we don’t perceive it?

Answer: It’s true, first you must have the desire, and only then can you turn to the Light.

If I wrote on a piece of paper: “I need to ask the Light!” and read it a hundred times, nothing would happen. This would become a habit; I would keep repeating these words like a broken record and nothing more.

But we are given the opportunity to change our desire with the help of our environment. After all, we exist among other people and not alone.

When I listen to them and watch them through a prism of envy, lust, and honor, all these properties that are part of my desire to receive pleasure, then I want to receive all the good things that they have, and rise even higher than them.

If they want to become thieves, then I want to become the most important, powerful, and successful thief, because they respect this.

When my environment deems it important to attain the property of bestowal, then naturally I will want to succeed in it the most, because this will become important to me.

So I can change my heart’s desire through the environment. And so it is written: “We shall do and we shall hear” because I am able to do such things that as a consequence I will suddenly desire something that was not in me initially, such as bestowing to others, deeming this to be important, somehow egoistically wishing to bestow.

After all, I exist in an egoistic society, and if this society starts convincing me that it is worth it to bestow, naturally I, just like all my friends, will begin to think that it is really worthwhile to bestow.

But at the same time, I think that this will benefit me, that I will become important in their eyes, I will be great, I will attain the Upper World, and the Creator will be mine. So bestowing it is; what matters is for me to profit. This is called Lo Lishma.

When driven by this aspiration, I still want the Light to come to me and change me, it begins to change me, and I suddenly catch a “virus” of some sort; I acquire something I did not have before, something I did not want, and I did not intend to get. I suddenly really begin to think that bestowal is something special, good, and sublime.

Where does this come from? This appears like an illness that you really did not want to have. I seriously begin to think that it is a good thing to think about others instead of thinking about me, without any kind of benefit or reward in it for me.

Naturally, I go through a sequence of changes here. First of all, I think that I should pull away from my egoistic desire to receive pleasure and that this will make me feel better and freer.

Then I begin to think that I should bestow to others, because in this way I will still acquire some kind of superiority, because in the end I will become close to the Creator, and this is also worth something.

And so on, until the Light gradually influences me in such a way that I attain a pure intention called Lishma, exclusively “for the sake of bestowal” without receiving anything in return. And I feel it; I check that I do not receive anything in return.

Question: It is known that to fulfill our egoistic desires, we use only 3% of our brain’s capacity. In which case would we take advantage of the entire 100%?

Answer: When we begin to include greater desires, then the other capacities of the brain will be used. If we begin to mutually operate the attribute of bestowal between us, the brain will begin to enlarge and activate areas that previously worked in a neutral mode.

But in this case, we are no longer speaking of the physical brain, because when we enter the spiritual world, we stop identifying ourselves with the body. We are not partners with it. Therefore a person who maintains his physical body (and for this there are special laws and instructions), the majority of the focus of life moves to the other side, the side of the spiritual.

For any of our attainment, each stage begins with the body, as from zero, when a person has absolutely no spiritual attainment, similar to how a newborn gradually develops, and thus we develop on each level.

The body needs to be ill, to suffer, to die, and to decompose. Everything takes place according to the spiritual levels, until we go to such a level that it already fully acts in bestowal, and thus there no longer remains opposing forces in him and the possibility of death disappears.

This state of our desires is called eternal, perfect. When we reach this state, our body disappears from our sensations. And in the end, all of this world will enter into a new state, a new dimension.

Question: This means that instead of two forces only one force will exist?

Answer: No. Two forces will remain, but the second force, as well as the first, will work for the sake of bestowal.

All the negative forces have the right to exist and a person’s main problem is to understand that when he enters the system of correction, in attaining the soul, in revealing the Creator, he only needs to change and invert the negative forces into positive ones. This is because they are the most effective and productive, giving the desired fruit.

Leviticus, the section “Tazria”, 13:1-3: And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying: “When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his flesh the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests. And the priest shall look upon the plague in the skin of the flesh; and if the hair in the plague be turned white, and the appearance of the plague be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is the plague of leprosy; and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.”

The discovery of the next level requires a rejection of those desires that we cannot correct. And they leave us in the form of slag: plague, leprosy, and all that is spilled out. In general, knowledgeable doctors understand that everything that is shed from the body of a person is for his own good and it must be expelled. But most doctors simply heal people.

Comment: But this is talking about a Cohen (priest) here, not a doctor.

Answer: A Cohen is a doctor at the highest level.

All diseases appear from a violation of the animal systems when we cannot hold onto the right balance. For balance constitutes a guarantee for health, for longevity, for success on all levels: moral, material, physical, traditional, familial, cultural, and social.

Only one force exists in creation, and we must work by regarding it with balance on all of our levels. But if the levels of the still, vegetative, and animate are found in balance with it, because they are guided by it instinctively, the level of man is not. In his departure from balance, man violates the balance of all the rest of the parts of nature.

This happens not only because he interacts with them physically, but simply because he is found with them in one single integral system. Even our thoughts and emotions and our mutual relationships influence the environment that surrounds us.

So it follows, whether we want it or not, each one of us and all of us together are responsible for all of nature. Essentially all are together, because our incompatibility causes incompatibility between humanity and all of that nature that surrounds us like an envelope. The main thing is that this is an incompatibility with that power that manages both nature and us.

But this power manages us with particular patience, giving us some kind of freedom, so that in the framework of this freedom we determine our balance with it, and we find the homeostatic formula in any of our states. Only in this way do we balance nature as well as all of us in relation to it.

To the degree that balance is attained, this external force begins to be felt within us and among us and we rise to the next level of development called Adam, meaning, Domeh (similar) to the only power of nature, which is called Creator.

Question: How can it be that I receive new vessels from the same friends every time?

Answer: But how do you know who your friends are? They are parts of your soul, but you look at their faces and think that they don’t change. They don’t know anything about themselves either.

You should know that if you encounter certain people in your life, both good and bad people, they are part of your soul. On the whole, all of humanity is your soul, but the people you encounter personally are the parts that are closest to you.

Today I identify parts of my soul from the level I am on in friends from my distant past, in teachers and professors who taught me at the university, in colleagues I worked with decades ago, in a research institute, in a lab, in all the people that fate has ever brought me together with. I identify in them the parts of my soul that I use and will use in the future.

It only seems that you see some physical bodies before you. They are depicted this way to you so that you will be able to connect to them somehow, since you have no other vessels, but later when you have vessels that are a bit more spiritual, you will see spiritual figures in these people and will connect to them on a different level, a bit more internally.

This is how it works. Don’t look at the world as at corporeal bodies. It is only a fictitious external picture.

Question: I have often heard the friends say: “I will do my best, and if I don’t achieve anything in this life, at least I will follow this path.” Is this the right approach or not? Or should a person say that: “I will attain spirituality in this life !”?

Answer: In this life means on this level. After all, whatever we don’t feel seems to be beyond this life. It also exists, but in another dimension.

Suppose I live in a body and feel my life through it. However, if I work on myself, I bring myself to a state in which I begin to experience additional feelings in life: new attributes, new desires, and new relations on a higher level; the attributes of bestowal  are due to my connection with others. These attributes have nothing to do with my initial desire (not the body but the desire).

Therefore, I simply fulfill myself on the next level by making myself a more sublime creature. If I can do that, the desires of my current level gradually change into more sublime desires.

Why were we given a body that actually has nothing to do with our desires? After all, we could have desires that are external to our body and fulfill them outside the body.

Comment: It is difficult to picture that.

Answer: Why? Is it difficult for you to imagine that I enjoy a cup of coffee without preparing it, pouring it into a cup, and then pouring it down my throat, and feeling some pleasure in it? It is all about sensors, which are attached external factors! It isn’t the drink.

We can insert electrodes into the brain or put on a helmet with electrodes and feel the same sensations. So where am I actually?

The point is that we are impressed by different things, that there are forces that manage us and it seems that we actually move our hands, and speak to one another, but in fact it isn’t so. The matter, that we feel, doesn’t really exist.

Therefore, our first task is to get rid of this illusion and  rise above it. Then our movements will be rational and not silly like a baby who jerks his hands and legs in every direction and cannot control them.

We will begin to work directly with the forces that invoke us and will know how to respond to them. We will be in bilateral relations with them and will see the goal.

My Comment: There is no body. There is only desire and mind, with a human being the result of their correct combination. What we see as the world is ethereal, unreal, and  does not exist. The picture that we see in the brain appears to us as the only thing that truly exists.

The picture of the world is painted within us, according to our likeness to the single upper force. We see the difference between our properties and the properties of the upper force. This is the internal language of the brain, which then paints it for us in images.

Question: How is the soul connected with the body?

Answer: Only the soul exists; whereas, our body and all the other physical bodies around us are imaginary existence, given to create the start of an altruistic connection between us, so that we will not create an egoistic connection between us but an altruistic connection, and to the degree that it is created, our body (and all of physicality as a whole) will take up less and less space in our consciousness, until it absolutely disappears from our feeling.

Question: Does studying Kabbalah seriously interfere with a person’s religious beliefs?

Answer: If a person is religious, Kabbalah does not prevent him from keeping his habits, traditional customs and the culture of his people. But he can no longer blindly believe in the other world that contains the reward of heaven and the punishment of hell, since Kabbalah will show him how to reveal the Creator in this life. One contradicts the other.

He gradually stops waiting for the reward that awaits him somewhere after death in another world. With difficulty, this image disappears and all his expectations shift to the present and revelation in the here and now! The entire focus shifts from the other world to this world and to this life.

In this way, his attitude gradually changes towards the “future world” and the Creator as the reality that he approaches and plans on revealing in this life. This is his goal, his purpose in life, and why he lives and carries out the advice of the Kabbalists.

For this reason, it becomes difficult for a person to remain in his previous religious environment, because he feels that he no longer relates to it in spirit. Those people still believe in reward after death and all their actions are determined by this. They even view reward in this life differently, which is why he feels different from them, and differences create distance.

But this does not lead to some kind of depreciation of religion, because this form eventually must bring the whole of mankind to Kabbalah and the actual attainment of the Creator and the Light. Kabbalists respect every faith. Religion was founded by Abraham, and will exist for as long as people need it and until they become ready to attain the Creator.

As they ripen, they will go from religion towards actual revelation, gradually changing their goal. We are forbidden to rush this process of development and can only show the possibilities that mankind has before it.

And of course, the first people to come to Kabbalah will be the nonreligious people, because they feel a greater lack of satisfaction than the religious people. A secular person thinks that he controls his life, and suddenly it is revealed that he does not have any freedom. This humiliates him and forces him to either forget or turn to Kabbalah.

Meanwhile, a religious person still thinks that he has a Creator who will take care of him, and for this reason, he will close his eyes to everything he can, and become an even bigger fanatic in order to protect himself from doubts and emptiness.

He will hate Kabbalah even more for opening his eyes to the fact that there is only one goal – the revelation of the Creator. But he is still better protected from shocks until this lack of satisfaction comes to him from nature, the Creator, and will speak within him. Then he will submit to Kabbalah.

Question: As a young person, what can I learn from an old person?

Answer: A young person can learn a different attitude towards life from an old person. That is, he can understand that the achievements that seem important to him now are not important at all, and it is worthwhile for him to fill his life with what will allow him to leave his footprints behind him forever. This is specifically what an old person and someone approaching old age wants.

And then we come to integral education whose task is to explain a system of eternal connections exists among us. Within it we can express ourselves and remain in a form filled with a new spirit of bestowal to others.

During the time of our egoistic reception we cannot do this, and then we die, such that nothing is left of us at all. But if I connect with the others in bestowal, then I acquire an eternal power that acts by itself and doesn’t require reception from others. And so this power operates all the time. If I am included in this power of bestowal and love that fills all of reality and go along with it, then I increase this power through my desire.

That is how I am included in this field of power and begin to live in it. And I will never die! This is my “self” that succeeds in becoming mixed with the power of bestowal in an eternal manner, for this altruistic power itself is eternal.

For this it is only necessary to change my psychological perception. Now I perceive myself as living and existing according to what I get. To the degree that I have aged, my egoistic powers weaken and dissolve. I age, and gradually lose all desire until I die. This means that the force of my needs dies as it becomes smaller and smaller, until it disappears completely.

Among us this is called “death.” But if I develop the power of bestowal and love within me, then I will not feel death. I will see how the power of bestowal fills the world, and with my new desire, I am included in this power and add intensity to it. I let this power of bestowal be revealed through me as if it is clothed in a new body. In this manner, I acquire a new life that is spiritual and not physical!

This body is beastly and I feel that formerly I was living with a single egoistic spirit, and now I live with a completely different spirit, which is the spirit of bestowal. And with this spirit of bestowal the angel of death has no control over me.

This spirit of bestowal is revealed to the people who are surrounded by it, and so it transforms them into very useful members of society. It is possible to gather people of retirement age, who already feel that they are approaching the end of their life, and explain to them how they can become eternal. And then we don’t end life along with this physical body because we don’t identify ourselves with it; instead we build a new body, a body of bestowal instead of egoistic reception.

So if a person doesn’t want to feel aging as a gradual decay until his lamp is completely extinguished, it is necessary for him to attain bestowal and discover the system of integral connections in which he will feel his eternal existence before his physical body dies.

Question: What kind of conclusion must the young person make from life being constructed such that eventually his or her time will inevitably end?

Answer: From a young age it is necessary to teach a person that this life is an ascent until the age of 30, and after that it is a descent and death. And therefore we must use all of this life to make a constant ascent from it that will never end!
