Question: In several articles Baal HaSulam analyzes and criticizes the communist system, which, in principle, corresponds to a primitive communal system, that is, life in communes. He says that we will return to this state anyway. How can you explain this?
Answer: The thing is that in primitive communities people were governed by completely different forces. People felt equal and no one had any surplus.
What they extracted from nature in the form of food or plants, they used immediately.
They had no desire to hoard because everything would spoil, and if there was any excess, they would simply give it to the common fund.
According to Kabbalists the kind of social system that should exist in the last generation is that everyone works, everyone understands that they depend on everyone, and no one runs away from their responsibilities; on the contrary, everyone strives to contribute what they can.

Thus, one who connects with his wife should make peace with her and sweeten her with words. If he does not appease her, he will not stay the night with her because their desire must be as one, without coercion (Rashbi, Zohar for All, Beresheet – 2, “Reconciliation and Receiving Permission”).
The Book of Zohar talks about the kind of relationship a husband should have with his wife and how to earn her favor.
Question: Why does The Zohar specifically write that a man can earn his wife’s favor through his words?
Answer: How else? There is even a popular saying that a woman loves with her ears.
Comment: But on the other hand, a man proves his masculinity through actions and not words. They say that if you just talk, you are not a man.
My Response: You should act in a way that is comfortable and acceptable to her.
Question: What does The Zohar mean by “make peace with the wife”?
Answer: It means that a husband should seek to win her over, endear himself to her, lift her spirits, and then she will be favorable disposed toward him. The Book of Zohar and the Torah in general have much to say about how one should love their wife.

Question: How can we properly revive the state of connection between friends?
Answer: You must strive for the same state you are already in and for even greater ones. Then you will feel that your connection is not broken but that it is being restored more and more.
You must constantly maintain the connection between you and your friends and between you and the Creator.

A person must try not to want anything, and that his only desire will be to bestow contentment upon the Creator and not for his self-love, but for the love of the Creator. This is a great effort because it is against the nature with which he was created (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 545, “Laboring and Finding“).
Question: What is this state where a Kabbalist is always in the desire to bestow?
Answer: It is a state where the Creator is great in their eyes. Because of this, they want to bestow to Him. This is our attitude toward someone who is above us.
Question: What does it mean: I want to bestow to Him? Do I look for some ways, or do I do this through connection with the ten?
Answer: In any way possible.
Question: But isn’t this some kind of intimate, tangible connection with someone you feel?
Answer: At first it may not be so personal or intimate.

Question: What is the difference between love and friendship between friends?
Answer: The difference is significant. Love binds people very closely. And friendship can be at a distance, cooler, because they do not need to be directly connected to each other.
Friendship and love are difficult to define although the differences between them can be pointed out. Love is when I feel such a connection with another person that we cannot be separated; we are as if glued together. Each of us understands friendship well because many people have such relationships.
Question: How do you maintain friendship between friends in a state of hatred?
Answer: We must not allow ourselves to be in a state of hatred; we must always maintain a connection to the point of love. And if hatred does appear, you need to convince yourself that it is necessary to check whether this feeling is correct or is just an indicator to the person, like some kind of disease that you need to get rid of as soon as possible.
Question: How do you get rid of hatred? What is the most effective way?
Answer: I think that there is no a single recipe for all cases. But you can remember the good days you had, how you loved each other, forgave each other, wanted to feel closer, and now you lack precisely this.
We must understand that love can be achieved with a only few in the world, so it must be protected. Even friendship is not just about having a warm relationship because it comes and goes.

Question: We need to learn to love our neighbors. How can we do this?
Answer: I cannot teach you to love. This cannot be taught. You simply have to read the primary sources and always think about how to love the Creator and how to get closer to Him.
When you think about this constantly, you will see that you increasingly understand what kind of connections you should have with the Creator, how you should feel Him, and how you want Him to feel you.
Question: What is this perfect desire that is capable of desiring the light of love in actions?
Answer: It is the fulfillment that a person receives when one relates to the Creator in the same way that the Creator relates to him or her. Then a person receives the light of love.

Question: Why do we need connection and mutual guarantee? We came to the group, love each other, and unite; it seems to last forever.
Answer: So stay in the state that it seems to you. What do you want from me?
People come to me who, despite getting together and organizing something together, feel that they are still not connected.
Question: Does the feeling that they cannot unite with each other remain with them forever?
Answer: You have to turn this feeling into the quality of connection, bestowal, and love, and then immerse yourself in it.

Question: What is the state when the Creator gives you the importance of spirituality as if it is more important than life? What should we actually ask for?
Answer: Ask that we have the strength to overcome all obstacles, to begin to feel the Creator, and to adhere to Him.
Question: We know from your example that from the very beginning you had a tremendous importance of the Creator, and this helped you fully dedicate your life to spirituality. Is this something that the Creator gives, or is it something that can be earned or built?
Answer: It depends on both the Creator and the person, meaning on the person’s request and the Creator’s response. You must ask.
