Turn on Your Imagination

237Question: You teach us that ultimately everything depends on the correct request to the Creator. How can we ask correctly from the heart of the ten?

Answer: Try to imagine the pain the Creator feels when we are distant from Him and how much pleasure we can bring Him if we ask to draw closer to Him and to be included in Him. That is very important.

Unflattering Mirror

938.01Question: If I see flaws in others, it is as if I am looking at myself in a mirror. Is the right action to immediately turn to the Creator to correct myself? How can I make this action automatic, or would making it automatic be a detriment?

Answer: It depends on what you ask for. If you ask for the correction of this quality in yourself, naturally, you should expect yourself to change in some way. If you are asking for friends, you should see how much they are changing. But in any case, there will be changes.

Question: If the transgression I see is mine, do I need to say automatically, “This is me? Do I need to be corrected?”

Answer: Yes.

Question: Does this mean that any request is about correcting yourself?

Answer: This is how it is. Do not worry. The main thing is to ask.

Question: And if I ask for correction of a friend without seeing specific flaws in him, does it mean I do not have them either?

Answer: This also happens.

Question: So you do not always need to instantly attribute any flaw to yourself, right?

Answer: No, but when I ask for the correction of some flaw, I can ask for myself at the same time.

Questions about Spiritual Work—163

281.02Question: While working within our ten we make great efforts to unite, but when we meet with other tens, the sense of unity is much stronger. There are no barriers, only the power, strength, and unity of thoughts and souls. How can we retain such a gift within our group? Does this mean we are ready for connection with the world Kli?

Answer: Perhaps you are already ready, but it still must be strengthened and developed.

Question: How should our efforts and love for the Creator be properly balanced? Sometimes it seems that one cancels out the other.

Answer: Try to connect everything, and from that place ask the Creator for closeness with Him.

Question: If some are interested in Kabbalah and listen to our materials a bit, but do not have the desire to make an effort to study on their own, should we encourage them? Or should we wait for their Reshimot to be revealed?

Answer: It is always worth encouraging them, even for your own sake.

Question: If the heart reveals not only love for the Creator, but also questions for Him, how can this be corrected quickly?

Answer: Try to ask questions while simultaneously expressing love.

Question: Is the desire to receive for the sake of bestowal the same as love?

Answer: In general it symbolizes a good relationship.

Torah as a “Finding”

610.2If one makes the labor with the desire to bestow, so he is rewarded with finding. In other words, the Creator gives him Torah and wisdom (Rabash, Notes 545 “Laboring and Finding”).

Question: Is it possible that all the Torah and wisdom are already within us? However, since we are not yet similar to the Creator in our qualities, we do not perceive the Torah as a finding.

Answer: No, a person receives wisdom from the Creator in small portions, which fill him, and he feels it.

Question: It is said that the Torah is a gift to us. But the Creator loves everyone, and gifts are given to loved ones. Why can’t everyone reveal the Torah, but only those with a point in the heart? Why doesn’t everyone understand the Torah?

Answer: Because they cannot rise above their egoism because they are deeply immersed in it. But gradually, they are purified from egoism, and rise higher and higher until they begin to feel that the Creator desires the quality of bestowal from them.

Soften the Hearts

938.05Question: If the ten pray together and receive a response from the Creator, should we say that the ten did the work or that the Creator did a good deed for the ten?

Answer: No, the request comes from below, from the person or the ten, and the Creator responds from above through the ten and perhaps directly to each individual.

Question: In our harsh world, there is a feeling that all of us have hearts of stone.

But we so deeply want to ask the Creator to make these hearts soft, like clay, from which we could sculpt a vessel and connect. What can make our hearts soft, collective, and unified?

Answer: The light of the Creator; if He influences us with His light, we will instantly turn into very soft lumps of clay that are able to unite with one another and we will feel Him within us.

How Can We Attract the Force of the Ten into the Prayer?

528.03Question: We learn that the most powerful prayer is in the ten. How can I draw the power of the ten into my prayer when I ask for them?

Answer: When you invest in your friends in the ten, they can help you to the same extent. But if you don’t, in a way you separate yourself from them. Then what can you demand?

When you ask for them, you can draw the power of the ten into your prayer only if you have a certain preparation and connection with each other.

Calculation with Everyone

213Question: How do you understand what you are stealing in spirituality if we have one common Kli there?

Answer: No, besides that, there is a settlement with everyone.

Question: But how to understand that I am stealing now?

Answer: You have to start feeling it.

Question: Is this some effort that I am not putting in?

Answer: No, not necessarily. This is primarily what you can take from others.

Question: It turns out that if I do not have a clear intention to steal from others, then I cannot be said to be stealing?

Answer: It is not that easy. Maybe you want to overtake your friend in this, do something first, and so on.

Question: But that does not stop me from thinking that it is not worth being too active, because in that case I am stealing? Does that not stop you?

Answer: No, this is not true.

Question: Then how do I make the calculation?

Answer: Help your friends.

Manage Your Nature

43Question: If I see that there is no love in me and hatred is growing, how can I reach the point where it becomes painful? How can I not take this for granted? How can I cry out because of it?

Answer: You cannot do anything on your own because this is your nature. You are being shown the truth, and not even all of it. What you must do in your prayers, in your requests, to the Creator, is to express your desire for these qualities to leave you.

Question: How can I constantly act together with the Creator? How can I correctly express love? If the Creator hides Himself, is it better to conceal my egoism or, conversely, to manifest love?

Answer: It is better to conceal your egoism and reveal it only to the extent that you wish to show it to the Creator and ask Him to correct it. In other words, strive to be in controlled egoism as much as possible.
