In the Hands of the Group

938.04Question: What do you do when a person wants to nullify himself, performs this action, but then becomes passive and indifferent? What is the mistake here?

Answer: The ten should hold him in its arms, let him try, and you will help him.

Question: Let us say his opinion differs from the others, and the others do not accept his opinion. Then, the friend seemingly annuls himself, but at the same time, he loses strength and cannot do anything. What should he do?

Answer: It is true that he has no strength because he does not yet have real, correct desires. It is impossible to receive strength from egoism.

In principle, the main thing is to pray, to ask the Creator for strength, and to understand where he was thrown and in what state. From all this, he will receive the right feelings, from which he will slowly rise to the Creator. He will see that he needs to ask.

Question: How should the group act? You said that it should hold him in its arms. What kind of support is that? Should we say that you have a different opinion, but we still love you? Or should we listen to what he says?

Answer: No, it is not necessary to listen. If you hold him, he would understand this and want to gradually free himself from your help and learn to hold himself.

That is, he should gradually become independent. That means that in any circumstances, he will orient himself toward connection with the Creator through his friends.

Don’t Miss the Moment

610.2Question: Why is it important to maintain the understanding that everything we ask for and include in our prayer is what the Creator has awakened within us?

Answer: How could it be otherwise? Everything comes from the Creator. That is stated at the beginning of our prayer: “I am the First, and I am the Last,” and “There is none else besides Me.” By this, we strengthen ourselves and place ourselves in the position that the Creator has affirmed as our true state.

Question: And if we miss this moment, are we essentially missing the connection with Him?

Answer: Of course.

The Temple Above Dust

935The person received an inheritance from his teachers not to let anything be built on this dust, except for the Temple (Rabash, Notes 804 “Raises the Poor from the Dust – 2”).

Dust is not soil, stone, or sand, but specifically, dust, meaning a part of the earth that is useless for anything.

When a person sees that they stand on dust, it indicates that there is no future, and they still do not have the foundation on which to build the Temple, a house of sanctity.

Question: To build the Temple, on our part, we need agreement with the Creator, patience, lowliness, and prayer. What does it mean to agree with the Creator?

Answer: It means agreeing that we are low in our desires and must unite with one another in prayer to the Creator to reach correction. That must be clearly understood both emotionally and intellectually. It is a good degree.

The Spiritual Work of Women

600.02Question: Is there any hierarchy in women’s advancement? Is it built in a special way?

Answer: There is no hierarchy at all. Women are not like men who have to constantly rise up and forward.

Question: It turns out that a woman is focused on herself: home, clothes, etc. Is that why you often say that women’s work is to put some kind of pressure on men?

Answer: Yes, not only to put pressure on her husband, but also to raise children, especially boys, to encourage them to study, and so on.

This, in fact, is her spiritual work despite her down-to-earth nature.

The Borderline that Separates Worlds

276.02It may seem that love for one’s neighbor is something simple and insignificant, like advising a child to be friends with others instead of fighting. But in fact, it is the borderline that separates our corporeal world, where we live in love for ourselves, from the upper reality where only those who have attained love for others exist.

We need to understand that this border above the corporeal world is very clear and strictly guarded from the spiritual world. Standing guard at this border are immense forces, stern and highly demanding, which precisely determine who must remain in our lower reality and who is worthy of existence in the upper reality, in the future, spiritual world.

Therefore our entire work consists of exiting the lower reality that we perceive now. Moreover, we do not even realize how low and limited it is, because it is just our life and our world; it is us.

In fact, Kabbalists explain that the main thing is to cross the border and enter the upper world, and from there continue to ascend higher and higher. We must not let the forces of nature influence us and confuse us, which pulls us back under the control of the egoistic laws of this world.

This is the main purpose of the wisdom of Kabbalah: to teach us how to cross this border, to familiarize us with the laws of the upper world, and to begin using them. In other words, Kabbalah’s task is to save us and prepare us for existence in the world of the Creator who dwells on the highest degree of the spiritual world.

That is why Kabbalah does not deal with this world or anything below the border with the upper world. Only those who transition into the upper spiritual world begin to study its laws, to reveal these laws within themselves, and to learn how to use them correctly.

Before a person crosses into the spiritual world, they can understand little from the wisdom of Kabbalah, because it is entirely devoted to the laws of the upper world. Therefore all our efforts should be focused on this transition from our world to the upper world—in our feelings, perceptions, understanding, and awareness.

Everything that relates solely to this world does not pertain to the reality where we should remain. The soul, which is present in each of us, is a divine particle from above, and it strives to return to the same state, the same reality where the Creator is, meaning to the upper world. Only in relation to this upper world do we assess ourselves, not in relation to anything below the border between worlds.

Everything worth doing in this life should only be for the sake of rising from this world to the upper world.

Through Internal Connection

938.03Question: At a convention, we will not always have the technical ability to be with our ten. It feels like we have to maintain an internal connection. How can we internally maintain this point of unity?

Answer: I do not think that we will always gather in the form we are doing today.

After all, you will not gather the ten that you will gather at the convention today every time, because next time others will come, and then others. Therefore we need to do something so that all this does not fall apart. I do not know how much it helps that we hold conventions. Maybe it does the opposite.

The thing is that people are used to working in their place, from their city, from their country. And here, everyone is mixing. Once upon a time, many years ago, this was good. And now we need to think carefully about what to do with conventions in the future.

Question: We are now virtually connected with our ten. What am I adding to the fact that now, while here, I want the friends in my ten to advance toward the Creator?

Answer: You transmit all this through your internal connection between hearts.

Toward a Sense of Unity

938.05Question: Everything I see comes from my Kelim; therefore, I do not see the complete picture of the universe. How can I rely on what I see?

Answer: The thing is that only at the beginning should you try to unite more and more. Later you will have an inner sense of unity that will guide you by itself. Then you will not need any effort to get closer to each other.

But in general, to the extent you get closer to each other, you will be able to get closer to the Creator and begin to attain Him.

How Do We Hear the Creator in the Ten?

945Question: Has each of us who studies at Bnei Baruch in one way or another heard the Creator at least once? Can this be said?

Answer: No, we are only preparing to hear Him.

Question: How do we hear the Creator in the ten?

Answer: If you are united with each other in the ten, then the quality of hearing will manifest in you. In other words, no one will hear the Creator individually, only together.
