Dear Michael Laitman,
You always talk in your programs about harmony and balance. But my whole family is completely out of balance. And it is not just my family. Today children suffer from overeating and obesity from childhood. They grow up, and the race for weight loss begins, like with my wife. All sorts of starvation programs to lose weight, pills, counting calories. I want to ask you: maybe in order for a person to have a balanced diet, they must first achieve internal balance?
My Response: Of course, we see that when a person starts to get nervous, they start eating more, and so on.
Question: Do we just need inner balance and not any weight loss programs or calorie counts?
Answer: None of that.
Question: Then the main question is how to achieve this. You could win the Nobel Prize right now if you could advise humanity on how to lose weight. How can one come into balance with oneself, into equilibrium?
Answer: Everything must be related to the Creator, only to Him. We need to understand that everything comes from Him, and everything is for us to realize that we are constantly correcting our nature that is initially completely opposite to the Creator, and that we are moving toward Him, getting closer to Him.
If we do not come closer to Him, we will still be approaching Him, and things will get worse for us. But if we know that we must come closer to the Creator, then we will act wisely, and our approach to Him will be benevolent.
Comment: I personally feel that here lies the entire truth. That is, while I am fixated on the body, I will not advance anywhere; I will be fixated on it. But I need to focus on the Creator.
My Response: On the Creator.
Question: At what point does balance happen? How many attempts do I need until suddenly at some point there is peace?
Answer: You need to set yourself in advance that search for balance is my life.
Question: Usually we fail all starvation programs and start gaining weight again. Are you saying that even if we fail, but keep advancing toward the Creator, this search for balance will give us…?
Answer: It will give us a happy life.
Question: And we will not need any programs, none of that?
Answer: Nothing. I should reach a state where I eat to exist and maintain balance.
Question: Not more?
Answer: No more. What for?
Question: When will I start living like that?
Answer: When you understand that it is precisely in balance, in equilibrium that you find the connection with the Creator. He is gradually revealed in you, and you feel it.
Question: Does one way or another everything come down to this?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Can we completely reduce all our questions to this?
Answer: Absolutely everything!

Comment: A doula is a woman who helps with childbirth. These are not medical personnel. She helps, advises the the woman how to position herself, and massages women who are about to give birth.
My Response: A midwife.
Question: But she doesn’t deliver babies, she helps. Advises what to think about, helps make it warm, good, and comfortable for a woman giving birth.
And there is a doula of death. I even found such a website for one whose name is Varya. This Varya helps to go through dying exactly the way the person himself wants it is what is written there. It also says she supports conversations with the dying, prepares a step-by-step individual scenario of dying, takes care of household chores: watering flowers, walking dogs, and so on so that the person who leaves is calm. One can write a letter to a future child and so on. Everything has its price: 50 euros, 100 euros, 200 euros. Everything is priced on that website.
Do you think a person needs such a doula of death?
Answer: If the person who leaves likes it and wants to, if necessary, then it is necessary.
Comment: After all, a person wants to leave like this, calmly.

Answer: The only one!

Answer: Let us hope for this!
Question: Let us hope for this. But should we at least make some kind of a move? I do not know what; take a sledgehammer, start hammering this concrete, do something, hit your head.
Answer: No, by doing this you demonstrate your disagreement with the plan of creation.
Question: So I must accept the current state and sit tight?
Answer: Yes, you must accept it.

Question: When you describe the field, which we perceive as disparate particles, do you mentally connect these particles by changing the system of perception?
Answer: Sometimes I also use this analogy. But, in general, this field is a system in which everything is connected. It is just that its elements are not included in the system correctly. Either they are included in the opposite way and slow everything down or they are included poorly and ineffectively.
Therefore, I am concerned about launching the system more explicitly so that it can start operating on its own. But that is a problem. However, time after time, gradually this happens.
In principle, it is a huge scheme in which all the parts exist together in common unchanging unity. This picture does not change since there is a rigid connection between them. It all depends on how they are included in each other as good or as harmful elements.
In their mutual inclusion, they create a system that gradually brings them closer to the one who created it, to the Creator, that is, to the upper force, the upper mind. Thus, gradually, by making yourself consciously kind (“love your neighbor as yourself” is our main goal), you put yourself in order, understand in what world you exist and in what connection with others.
When you learn, see, and start improving this scheme and its functioning, firstly, you will begin to feel comfortable. Secondly, you will detach yourself from your body, which is currently imposed on you as some nonexistent vision, and you will clearly feel yourself exactly in a state of inclusion with everyone else.
This feeling will suppress all earthly sensations. You will see only this system around you: how everyone is interconnected, how they work on the connection, but they work poorly, and that is why our world is the way we perceive it. Then you will see how it gets included and enters this system, is lost in it, as if it disappears, dissolves.
And the most important thing is that inside the system, when it begins to work in harmony, we feel the upper force, the one who created this field. This is the force of goodness, bestowal, mutual unity, and love. By feeling it, we become like it, eternal and perfect.
Then there are huge degrees of our development: greater and greater unity up to uniting into one single whole. At the same time, attainment and fulfillment occurs, which is what we internally desire for ourselves.
All our earthly desires are not even the first degree of what we receive when moving toward unity, because we gain great joy, fulfillment, eternity, perfection, everything! We can do this now. Just let us discover this good connection between us.

A father of four children, who has not been home once since the war started, writes to his wife: “My beloved, my dear, I am here fighting for our home, for our people. But I feel the immense war you are going through, taking on everything: caring for the home, for the children, for me. Where do you get such strength? How did I not feel this before? Thank you for the peace you give me, for the strength that emanates from you. I know it is easier for me; I am here, surrounded by friends. All the care is on you there, you are the hero! For you: our wives, sisters, and mothers, we are ready to fight. Thank you, my love! I miss you so much.”
What would you say about such wives?
My Response: There are no words for it!
Question: Can we say that this is a feat?
Answer: Yes, definitely.
Question: How do they hold up as they are thinking about their husbands, fearing that suddenly—God forbid—someone will knock on the door and bring some news about them? Constantly caring for the children and not showing how hard it is for her. After all, a woman wants to be weak, but she does not have the opportunity to be weak. How?
Answer: The Creator gives a person what he needs. We see examples of this. Women are strong. They bear their share with dignity.
Question: So, even without thinking about the Creator, does she have a constant prayer?
Answer: Yes, it is constantly in her heart.
Question: Does that mean that there is a constant response?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Does that mean that He supports them all the time?
Answer: The Creator supports such people and helps and encourages them. Precisely the Creator.
Question: Does a person feel that this is from the Creator, or is it not necessary at all? Like this woman, the wife.
Answer: I think they feel it.
Question: Can a husband’s letter to his wife be called a declaration of love?
Answer: It can. In such cases you can speak openly and speak from heart to heart. Does he have four children?
Comment: Yes, he has four children. Yet, he writes to his wife, he feels that she is the stronghold and the foundation of everything.
My Response: What can you do? Of course. A woman is a home, as it is said in the Torah.
Question: Can we say that wives fight no less than husbands in this war?
Answer: Of course! Even more. After all, in action they cannot do anything, only in desires.
Question: Who do you think has it harder?
Answer: The woman, because she worries about the family, the home, the husband, about everyone. She generally is considered the center of the family in such a state.
Question: So her thoughts never disappear, she has no rest?
Answer: No! It is completely out of the question. Within her, she is always with the children and her husband who is far away, and she is constantly in these thoughts.
Question: In principle, what do husbands mean to such wives? Who are they?
Answer: They are their support. They are like the center of the world, the center of the universe. And for him, the wife is the center of life.
Question: Why does this happen only in such situations? He even writes here: “I did not even know you were so strong. I did not even know you were like this.” Why is this revealed only in such situations? Why can we not see this during peace?
Answer: Because they need each other. In ordinary life everything gets somewhat obscured. These states have a very positive impact on a couple, on husband and wife.

Answer: There are those who might drift apart from each other, but generally, it leads to coming together, to something serious and real, and makes them understand who they are to each other.
