“Elites In A Search Of Consensus”

laitman_547_05In the News (vestifinance.ru): “The members of the Bilderberg Club, whose meetings behind closed doors for more than half a century, is an occasion for all sorts of conspiracy theories, once again synchronize watches on key issues on the agenda of the globalist Western elites.

“In 2016 the meeting place for ‘Bilderberg’ guests has become Dresden. …

“Here as always, on the site of the permanent attributes of protest against the Bilderberg meetings: claimed to discuss topics traditionally vague and provide only approximate information:

1. Current events. 2. China. 3. Europe: migration, growth, reform, vision and unity. 4. Middle East. 5. Russia. 6. US political landscape, the economy: growth, debt, reform. 7. Cybersecurity. 8. Geopolitics of Energy and commodity prices. 9. Prekariat and the middle class. 10. Technological innovations. What it will include a discussion of these topics? …

“As always with Bilderberg, it’s just guesses. In this case the main thing is not what is going on behind closed doors. The fact that over the past 60 years, a meeting of representatives of the authorities, the heads of major banks, energy companies, defense corporations, major media of western countries leaves no secret aura of paranoia and speculation, It does not add to the fans ‘Bilderberg’. …

“‘Daniel Estulin, author of the acclaimed bestseller Who rules the world? Or the whole truth about Bilderberg, describes the meeting as a “meeting of the shadow world government … threatening to take away our right to manage our destiny, creating a disturbing reality”. “Imagine a private club where presidents, prime ministers, bankers and generals closely communicate, where people who make war and affect the markets, saying that they would never dare to say publicly,” – he said. In the overwhelming majority ‘Bilderberg’ represent the interests of global capital. They are not accountable to the population. At the same time they discuss issues that directly affect many people… .’”

My Comment: This is characteristic and natural in our egoistic world. They think that they own the controls. Each one of them wants to take everything, and they all agree how to peacefully divide the world. But there is no reason to worry about their decisions because everything is done from above. The Creator establishes and materializes our desires.

If we know how to ask, to raise MAN, we determine the managerial influence that comes down from above! But this is the role of all the people of Israel, meaning all those who are prepared to raise the right request to the Creator. The group of Kabbalists of Bnei Baruch are disseminating the wisdom of Kabbalah, the method for correctly influencing the managing upper force, the Creator; while the powerful rulers in this world are no more than “puppets on strings”—conductors of this force.

“Why We Need To Aim Higher”

laitman_233In the News (Harvard Business Review): “We humans need to make an evolutionary leap. We’re in much deeper trouble than we allow ourselves to recognize.

“Thirty years ago, an ecologist named Garrett Hardin wrote an article in the journal Science titled, “The Tragedy of the Commons.” His thesis was that individuals, acting in their rational self-interest, may ultimately destroy a precious and limited resource over time.

“To illustrate, Hardin used the metaphor of an open pasture — ‘the commons’ — to which herdsmen bring their cattle to feed. The herdsmen, living at subsistence levels, understandably want to feed as many cattle as possible to maximize their income and improve their lives. As demand rises, however, the effects of overgrazing take a progressive toll on the commons, until ultimately they’re destroyed for everyone.

“‘Therein is the tragedy,’ Hardin wrote. ‘Each man is locked into a system that compels him to increase his herd without limit — in a world that is limited. Ruin is the destination toward which all men rush, each pursuing his interest in a society that believes in the freedom of the commons.’

“How different are the rest of us in our blithe assumption that we can draw down the resources of the commons — think oil, electricity, water, for starters — regardless of the consequences in the long term?

“The same is true of our own internal resources — our energy. Organizations continue to demand ever more without recognizing that sustainable performance requires that we intermittently renew our energy. We’re all too willing to keep pushing ourselves, chasing the hope that more, bigger, faster will eventually prove to be better.

The tragedy is that the more we myopically focus on our immediate gratification, the more we hasten our collective demise. Spending without replenishing eventually leads to bankruptcy — in the world, and for ourselves.

“How can rational human beings allow this to happen?

“The answer lies in the ways our brains work. Much as we may believe we make rational choices by using our prefrontal cortex, the fact is we’re often run by the more primitive parts of our brain. And they’re concerned solely with our immediate survival.

Two powerful default instincts still guide much of our behavior: the fight or flight instinct to avoid pain, and the pleasure-driven hunger for immediate gratification. These instincts helped alert us to predators thousands of years ago and kept our focus on finding food and passing on our genes. They serve us far less well in today’s vastly more complex world.

“The modern version of these primitive instincts is the individualistic drive to accumulate more and more. We crave money, possessions, and power, hoping they’ll make us feel happier and more secure.

“The truth is, we’re all in this together and our choices all affect the commons. To the extent that we’re not part of the solution, we’re unavoidably and increasingly part of the problem.

“So how can we aim higher? The evolutionary leap I have in mind — for all of us — is to move from our current focus on ‘me’ and ‘mine’ to a wider and shared commitment to ‘we’ and ‘ours.’

“The ultimate scorecard isn’t how much value we build for ourselves, but rather how successfully we marshal the advantages we’ve been given and the skills we’ve developed to add more value to the world than we have spent down.

“Waking up begins with more consciousness and humility. It’s about pushing past our infinite capacity for self-deception. It’s about catching ourselves when we begin to automatically default to whatever makes us feel better in the moment. It’s about widening our lens from narrowly self-serving to truly considering what choice we could make to better serve the commons. It’s about having the courage to pause before we act to ask, ‘How would I behave here at my best?’

“The irony is that the willingness to make personal sacrifice and endure some discomfort in the short term, in order to better serve the commons in the long term, is ultimately a form of enlightened self-interest. It’s a vote for sustainable survival — especially for our children and grandchildren.

“So how, practically, can we resolve to evolve? It’s tough to do all it alone, given the power of our more primitive impulses, the force of our habits, and the endless temptations we face. We need others to make these commitments with us — to cheer us on, and hold us accountable. We need communities of practice.”

My Comment: That is correct, except for the solution. We cannot even reduce our need and think about our descendants egoistically. “After us, the deluge will remain, the basic principle of the egoism. It develops in us unceasingly.

The purpose of evolution is to guide humanity toward the recognition of the need to “replace egoism with altruism.” It is possible to implement this only through the intervention of the upper force, the Creator.
This is done so by nature (or the Creator; they are the same thing) intentionally, so that we need to discover Him to the degree of that we resemble Him. Eventually we become similar to Him and enter into a state of Gan Eden (paradise), eternity and perfection.

New Life #582 – Becoming A Mom

New Life #582 – Becoming A Mom
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

Where do the feelings a mother has for her baby stem from? Why is the whole family obliged to take care of the baby and what is the connection between motherly love and the idea of “love thy friend as thyself?”

Summary

The purpose of our evolution is that the desire to enjoy that was created would reach the level of love and bestowal. This means that we will transcend from the nature of self-love and hating others to the nature of “love thy friend as thyself.”

This may sound like a fantasy but it is the direction of evolution. Nature has implanted a love for her baby in a mother. It is a kind of correction, as one soul takes care of another. The perfect correction is to develop such love for strangers. Motherly love is an example for us.

In the past it was very easy for a woman to take care of her baby. She was in a supportive environment, whereas today there are different modern disturbances. The relatives should take an active part in caring for the baby. It is part of the correction of their soul. Nature is like a mother for us; it is a complex system that raises us and teaches us.

A tip for fathers: Do everything that your wife asks you to do with the baby. This is part of the correction of the soul.

New Anti-Semitism

Laitman_632_2Question: Following 2,000 years of anti-Semitism and persecution, have there been any qualitative changes due to the fact that the State of Israel was established?

Answer: Currently in most countries, anti-Semitism has become a clear direction. It has been adopted by the public at large and is breathing in the pages of the media. It is different.

In the past, anti-Semitism was narrow in its nature. If it thrived in one nation, in another nation, in opposition to it, Zionism was encouraged as it was in America and Russia 60-70 years ago. And now, all over the world there is an identical attitude regarding the Jews.

I have been warning about this; you can pick up articles that I wrote two decades ago and make sure. But then, no one listened.

Comment: The latest studies show that for every Jew in the world there are 70 anti-Semites. It is assumed that the whole world will become anti-Semitic.

Answer: The whole world will become absolutely anti-Semitic. So we must implement our mission swiftly.

Why Was Man Created Imperfect?

laitman_207Question: Why and most importantly for what purpose did the Creator create man imperfect?

Answer: The Creator did this so that man would attain perfection from his imperfection, and with this perfection he would become equivalent to the Creator. This state will be attained when man connects all the negative characteristics that the Creator created in him with all the positive characteristics that he has attained thanks to his work, but with the help of the Creator.

If the Creator had created him perfect, then he would not be Adam (Man), but would remain on the level of a “beast” unchanged. In Kabbalah, this level is called an angel, spiritually lifeless, i.e., without any freewill or independent existence.

Modern Slavery

laitman_600_02Question: It turns out that there is still slavery in the modern world. 45 million people around the world are abused as slaves. This number is equivalent to the population of Spain.

According to recent research, slavery is the exploitation of a person who cannot leave because of threats of violence, coercion, or deception. People can be enslaved because of a debt and so forth.

Answer: Before the destruction of the Second Temple the slaves among the nation of Israel had many privileges. The landlord was required to take care of his slave, and the slave was obliged to work for the landlord according to his powers and his abilities. At the same time, the relationship between them was normal and mutual, just as they are today between an employer and an employee. A slave did not want to leave his landlord because the latter provided everything he needed, as it is written, “… give your slave your pillow.”

As for other nations, they had a completely different attitude toward slaves. They beat them, humiliated them, killed them, and did not treat them as human beings, not even as domestic animals, which were looked after, cherished, and fed.

Question: What is slavery from a Kabbalistic perspective?

Answer: According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, slavery is total obedience to your landlord, “This is what the landlord wants, so this is how I move.” A slave constantly looks to the landlord and carries out his will, and at the same time, totally suppresses his own desire. His efforts, his opinion, his desires, and his thoughts all are aimed at the landlord’s desire so as to continue the latter’s desire. A slave has no desire of his own, but only the desire of the landlord.

Question: Can we say that, in this world, we all are slaves to our egoistic nature?

Answer: Of course! We also can say that we are the Creator’s slaves, but unconsciously! This is because the Creator is the only force of nature that manages us, but He wants us to be independent. This is our problem: to be independent of Him and even above Him!

It is written, “My sons have defeated Me,” which means becoming free of slavery, becoming totally independent, and taking the leadership of the entire world from the Creator’s hands. This is His real desire, His dream. And we, unfortunately, do not want to think about something higher, more sublime, and thus we remain slaves and live as animals.

Therefore the Creator pushes us through suffering so that we will perceive and understand our absolutely poor, paltry, miserable, and limited state, and will want to rise from it.

I hope that as the sufferings grow, people will begin to perceive and understand that. There is no other way to influence people. Then, people will use what the Creator offers them: His knowledge, His method, His wisdom, the wisdom of Kabbalah.

If we begin to implement it, we will see how much we gain from becoming the masters and ceasing to be slaves. This is how we enter a completely different level of existence, a world of eternity, infinity, and perfection, a totally different entity, a different dimension. But this is for free people.

Seeing The Picture Of Creation

Laitman_049_01Question: When a person is murdered the force of life leaves his body. Did anything compel it to so or is it the decision of the force itself? Why does it decide to leave the body?

Answer: We cannot determine why one man kills another man, why young children die, or why there are disasters. In order to do so we have to see the whole picture of creation and understand the previous states of the soul and the future ones. It is only in the wider perspective that we can judge what happens.

The Latest Innovation

laitman_626In the News (inosmi.ru): “According to many Western researchers, the lack of revolutionary technological innovation – is one of the main causes of the current long-term stagnation in the world economy. Over the past 25 years, after the start of the digital revolution (Internet and mobile), we have not made significant technological breakthroughs that have fundamentally affected the economy. …

“The scale of the impact of the three scientific and technological revolutions on the quality of life turned out to be incommensurable: with the first revolution (the creation of the steam engine and the loom in the late 18th – early 19th century), the second (electricity and the internal combustion engine in the late 19th – early 20th centuries) the quality of life changed radically. At the same time, a third, or Digital Revolution (since the 70s of the 20th century), although it has made life more interesting, it did not lead to an increase in real wealth in the West. …

“The Digital Revolution has significantly improved the quality of life worldwide. Human communication, flow of information, services and entertainment – all this is hardly reflected in a ‘rough’ concept as GDP, which operates on purely material ones. The question remains in maintaining the balance between the real and virtual economies.

Indeed, this balance in recent decades has been broken: investors prefer not to work in the real and the financial sector, where they inflate virtual bubbles and do not produce anything. People go into the virtual world and lose their sense of reality, have become Internet dependent and countries print virtual money and build up huge debts.

However, this world is material, and there are still many unresolved financial problems, we can not forget that more than half the population the world has no access to basic benefits of modern civilization, for they have not come and the 2nd stage of the scientific and technological revolution. … Challenges remain: hunger, water shortages, pollution, overpopulation. All this will require a breakthrough innovation in the real economy, for the survival of humanity depends on it.”

My Comment: The last and final innovation will not be a change in the physical world but a change in the person through the Upper Light, as it is written, “I created the evil inclination (the human ego), I created the Torah as a spice for it” (Kiddushin 30b) (Torah = Ohr Makif [Surrounding Light] to fix it).
