The Zohar, “VaYechi,” “Do Not Recall Our First Sins,” 412 – 413: If Israel performed good deeds before the Lord, the nations of the world and idolaters would not rise against them. But Israel is causing the other nations to raise their heads in the world, because if Israel had not sinned before the Lord, the other nations and idolaters would have surrendered to them.
If Israel had not continued their evil deeds to the other side of the Land of Israel, the other nations of the world and the idolaters would not control the Land of Israel and they would not have been exiled from their land. It says: “We have grown very poor since we have no good deeds, as we should have.”

Answer: There is an upper force that manages, develops, and fills our world. We can talk about it only to the degree that we discover it. This force is called “Bore” (Creator), “Bo – Re” meaning come (discover) and you will see.
When people think that God exists, but in a corporeal form like a person, this is simply a misunderstanding of the entirety of nature. We always talk only about what exists in relation to all of us. If a person doesn’t reveal this force within him, then it doesn’t exist; if he discovers it, then it exists.
Comment: The wisdom of Kabbalah states that there is “Atzmuto – His essence,” some kind of plan or program.
Answer: Right, but we cannot talk about it. This is the initial, first force of nature that is beyond our attainment. We attain only what is included within our desire to receive and to enjoy, which was created by Him.

Question: How can the study of Kabbalah improve my life? Does it give any special advantages that I cannot get through other sciences?
Answer: Kabbalah cannot give any advantages in everyday life if a person cares only about his material well-being and nothing else. After all, above all, Kabbalah opens horizons for us and explains the purpose for our life.
The people who come to the Kabbalah study are the ones who ask, “What is the meaning of my life and why do we suffer?” Humanity begins seriously thinking about the purpose of its existence and all its pains as it wants to know why we pay so dearly for the years of our lives.
It turns out that today there are many people who are ready to study the wisdom of Kabbalah and reveal the secret of life and so Kabbalah is opened.
Question: Does the study of Kabbalah change something within me?
Answer: A person who studies Kabbalah changes his attitude toward life, his whole life paradigm. He begins to see the world with different eyes, understanding that the world is just a projection of his own properties. While he changes his inner properties, he changes the world that is seemingly outside of him.
After all, the world is only a print of our properties. The wisdom of Kabbalah helps us correct ourselves from within when we turn from egoists who reject and hate everyone into altruists who love and bestow. And in this way we find ourselves in the world of absolute goodness.
Look at all the problems in today’s world and how much it needs this method of good connection and unity between people: religious, secular – all as one nation.
When I see all the sufferings in the world, I feel empathy for the people and see how much they all need the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: Humanity needs an example of a peaceful existence according to a higher law. The great Kabbalist Baal HaSulam wrote about the possibility of providing an example through the creation of a kind of mini-society of the future somewhere, the perfect generation living according to the principles of unity and love. Why are we not doing this? Could it be that Baal HaSulam was writing this for people who are already in spirituality?
Answer: That indeed answers the question. We are not doing this because creating a future society requires a certain number of people who have attained the spiritual world.
Guiding the new society correctly requires a mighty handful of serious people who already are in the sensation of spirituality and know and understand the higher system, because only then will they interact in the right way and manage all of those under them who have not yet attained the revelation of spirituality.
Until entering the sensation of the upper world, it is impossible to fulfill the mission of the last generation. So, it is up to us to approach this in our conditions. It is impossible to create a generation like this artificially, without people who compose the spiritual skeleton. If, among the thousands of my students, there were at least two hundred people who attained the spiritual world, then it would be possible to think about creating a spiritual mini-nation.
When I was in Canada, I heard about a group of Hasidim numbering two hundred families who traveled far to the North, bought land there, and live there with their entire community, raising cattle, growing vegetables, bringing up their children, and praying, and it works well for them.
But we, the students of the wisdom of Kabbalah, have a different goal. The work against the ego is constant and difficult. To do this, it is necessary for there to be a critical mass of corrected people.
Question: For them it is easy, but for us it would not be easy. For example, in a movie, the hero is determined by being placed in a dramatic situation. Otherwise, he doesn’t emerge.
Answer: The dramatic situation for us is absolutely different than in an egoistic film. In a film, you overcome the ego of a stranger, suppressing it through your ego. Even when you suppress your own ego, you are suppressing your current ego. So, in any case, this is an egoistic gain.
Question: However, the conditions are very similar there. It only happens in a dramatic situation, only when you are at a dead end. It doesn’t happen in any other situation.
Answer: This is a dead end that you are leaving because you are going for broke, even to the death, because you are expecting a reward after death. Your ego wins anyway.
In contrast to this, in a society of students of Kabbalah, it is the opposite. It is up to you to suppress your ego, to destroy it, to eradicate it so that it will not exist at all. The state of the impasse occurs only for a moment. Then we work above the ego when you constantly ascend above it, in opposition to it.
Question: Why not create an artificial dramatic situation of joint life and shared work in which it would be necessary to advance, to ascend to work above the ego?
Answer: Baal HaSulam dreamed about this, and I spoke about this many times with Rabash. From what I understood in his time and from what I see today, a critical mass of people standing on a serious spiritual base is what is required.

Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 03:13 – 02:14: Now get up and cross the brook of Zered. So we crossed the brook of Zered. And the days when we went from Kadesh barnea, until we crossed the brook of Zered, numbered thirty eight years, until all the generation of the men of war expired from the midst of the camp, just as the Lord swore to them.
If we look at the forty-year journey through the desert from a geographic point of view, the entire distance from Egypt to Israel could be walked in a week.
The Torah, however, speaks about a spiritual journey, the preparation for developing the qualities of bestowal. The exodus from Egypt and arrival at the land of Israel is a very serious period of correction, rising from Malchut to Bina. And although this isn’t work with the quality of bestowal yet, because the desert doesn’t produce anything, it is a rise above egoistic qualities.
Question: Is it possible to say that humanity is now undergoing a period of preparation for the next degree?
Answer: For humanity it will happen in a different way, because they don’t have to undergo the same states as the people of Israel. Instead they use a prepared spiritual system, the system of forces that is ready for their correction.
And here we talk about the way this system is born, how the group of people that are called the people of Israel assemble it. Today our Bnei Baruch world group is undergoing exactly this forty-year period and all the others will receive an almost completed system from us.
They will start joining us and, thanks to them, we will bring the world to a new Upper Light. Their task isn’t to correct themselves through special actions but only to annul themselves before us to receive the Upper Light.
The Torah was given to the Jewish people in order to prepare them for their mission regarding the rest of the world.
By Jewish people, we mean those people who are focused on the path of spiritual correction, and all the other so-called Jews that were born Jewish are not considered a people.
Any person, who joins the movement toward the Creator is called Israel, “Isra-El,” “Yashar Kel,” which means “straight to the Creator.”
As once in ancient Babylon people who accepted the spiritual path and agreed to carry out this mission joined the group of Abraham, so it is today. Nothing has changed in the world.
Question: Then why do we say that Jews in the world need to understand their roots?
Answer: Because there are Reshimot in them, recorded information about what they underwent before and it is possible to awaken them toward it again.
From KabTV’s “Secrets of the Eternal Book” 1/20/16
Answer: The Creator has indeed created us imperfect. By attaining our imperfection we discover the Creator’s greatness and begin to acquire His attributes.
We undergo part of the evolution of the still, vegetative, and animate levels of nature unconsciously. These levels of nature have evolved for billions of years while the human level has evolved for hundreds of thousands of years. Evolving nature gradually became more and more complex and in need of proper connection between all its parts.
In the development of the inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature, the levels interacted in a particular harmony. But as soon as man developed egoistically, under its influence, the properties of nature began to change for the worse: animals began to devour each other, weeds appeared among the plants, and all of nature became impregnated with egoism.
We have been undergoing a spiritual fall for the last 6,000 years because we do everything that pleases our growing ego. Thus we corrupt ourselves and the environment instead of thinking of how to tie together all the elements of the creation into one organic whole.
When we begin to correct our egoism and reach a level that doesn’t disrupt the rest of nature, nature will restore its previous harmony. All will cease devouring each other, as it is written, “And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them”(Isaiah 11; 6). And man too will be quite different. But today man is far more dangerous than a tiger.

In the News (vesti.ru): “The British humanitarian fund Christian Aid has compiled a list of major cities, the populations that will be most affected by the catastrophic floods and floods in the future. It turned out that because of climate change, by 2060 there will be one billion people at risk. Given the fact that about 10 billion people will be living on the planet at that time, by the rising of the level of the oceans every tenth person on Earth will suffer.
“The least fortunate will be China, India and the United States, the researchers said. …
“The governments’ priorities should be to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the transition from fossil fuels to low-carbon energy. Communities that could be affected the most, should think about better protecting their homes and sources of livelihood (such as agricultural fields). So, experts at Christian Aid familiar with this type of disaster… are offering to restore wetlands that can absorb excess water, to build dams and streams for a redistribution system during heavy rains and storms, and to move people from low-lying regions.
“Every dollar spent today on risk reduction and protection against natural disasters will in turn save an average family dollars, which then can be spent on the elimination of the consequences, experts predict. This means that by 2020 will have a 10-fold increase to the state budget.”
My Comment: As a result of human influence, the imbalance of nature will be revealed not just with flooding. There will be volcanic eruptions, storms, fires, extreme fluctuations of temperature, drought, epidemics, etc. All of this is the future we are creating for ourselves through the lack of balance between us.
New Life 524 – The Wisdom of Kabbalah: What Is Correction Of The Soul?
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz
From the start, human beings were created with a desire to receive pleasure and enjoyment only for oneself, and this is called the ego. The ego motivates all of our actions.
For example, when we give to our children it fulfills our ego. Even people who help others, volunteer in hospitals and the like, get egoistic satisfaction. None of this is connected to the correction of the soul. The correction of the soul is building love above the egoism that is inherent in us.
To truly love means to develop love above the hatred that you discover in yourself for everyone who is not you. The wisdom of Kabbalah is a method for truly connecting to others, a method for building the soul with the help of a unique force. We learn how to awaken the “Light that Reforms,” a unique force inherent in nature that transforms hatred into love.
The work is carried out in a group, in a circle, in a workshop. Ten people together learn to reveal the force of love between them. Kabbalists explain the method and direct our development to the discovery of a new life, the soul. Then we discover that basically all of us are a single soul called Adam HaRishon (the first man).
That is how we become similar to the Creator. The Creator is nature. When Abraham discovered the general force of nature, the force of bestowal and love, he invited everyone to discover this along with him. The isolation that is mounting in our time testifies to the great need for discovering the soul. Isolation is derived from our ego.
Eternal life, the life of the soul, can exist only with love and bestowal, because it is unlimited.
