On the other hand, when we rise above the ego and build the property of love and bestowal over it, we gain the third level—independence.

The internal property of hatred, egoism, and the property of love, bestowal, create a third line in us—absolute freedom.

There is egoism, anger, greed, and envy inside me, I want to receive everything. And in you, as a host, on the contrary, there is bestowal and absolute love, and I can take them from you. You are completely ready to give everything. However, if I use you with my egoism, then I depend on you.

In addition, my humiliation is revealed here. This is what we see in the world today, depression and everything else, as a result of the upper quality, of the quality of the so-called upper shame.

To rise above this, I must completely nullify your influence on me. I can only do this when I apply both qualities. Comment: There are some similarities between the way Abraham and his thousand followers left Babylon and the way the Israelites left Egypt. The difference is that Abraham was not pursued and the Israelites were pursued by Pharaoh and his army.

My Response: Abraham divided the people in a very simple way. He left most of the Babylonians, knowing that they with their egoism would scatter from each other anyway.

This is described in the “Great Commentary” (Midrash Rabbah), which refers to the same time as the “Book of Creation” of Abraham.

Thus, we have sources written four and a half thousand years ago. Of course, this is not recent history, but in principle, we can believe it because as we reveal these ancient stories, we see more and more that what is written in those books is really true.

Although Babylon was originally inhabited by a single nation of about three thousand people, they were still a collection of many ancient tribes, clans. Abraham was also from a tribe called “Ivri.” That’s why he was called “Abraham the Ivri.”

Abraham was a very famous, respected person in ancient Babylon. Therefore, his Kabbalistic teachings successfully spread among the Babylonians. It is said that he presented them with the whole idea of future spiritual development.

Rambam, the great philosopher of the 12th century, wrote that thousands of people followed Abraham. Thousands! He led them away from Babylon into the Land of Israel. The original sources say that Abraham gave them so-called “gifts.”

The gifts mean that he has taught them all sorts of other methods that are based not on overcoming egoism and not on correcting it in the middle line in order to advance above the ego and rise from HGT to HBD. On the contrary, these methods are based on reducing egoism, belittling it, and being satisfied with modest and small things. In other words, Abraham gave the Babylonians the beginnings of beliefs and religions. This is how they settled all over the Earth.

We see that those spiritual teachings, especially the Eastern ones, as well as religions, are built on being modest, not standing out among others. They do not encourage the development of egoism and even the development of machinery and technology.

These theories are completely opposite to the method of Kabbalah, which says: the more egoism, the better because with its help we can rise and correct ourselves.

However, if a person has no desire for correction, then it is better for him to belittle his egoism and keep his head down.

Zohar for All, VaYera: “You shall multiply the nation, you shall increase their gladness” are the priests. “They will be glad in Your presence as with the gladness of harvest” are Israel, whom the Creator blesses with the crop of the field and they give tithing from everything. “As they rejoice when they divide the spoil” are the Levites, who receive a tithing from the barn.

The Creator is the quality of bestowal and love. To reach love of your neighbor is the main commandment, the basis of the entire Torah, of everything we need to come to. If we reach this quality, we will become similar to the Creator. This is the purpose of our development.

Why do we exist now, here, in this world? This is in order for us to create a condition where the quality of bestowal and love, called the Creator, is revealed between us by returning to this world until we reach the quality to bestow to our neighbor.

On the way to acquiring this quality, we have several forces that we can somehow vary, control, and eventually form in ourselves. There are only two forces: the right force is the force of bestowal, the force of the Creator, which we can attract if we want to correct the left line, the force of egoism that exists in us. These two opposing forces are represented by Cohen (priest) and Levy.

The third force, the middle line, we create ourselves by combining the right and the left ones to form from ourselves similarity to the Creator, which is called “Israel” (“Yashar El,” “straight to the Creator”), meaning the one who is aiming to similarity to the Creator. This is our task.

Therefore, it is said: take all that you can from the Cohen, from the right force that shines some kind of light upon you, and take all that you can from the left line, from your egoism.

With the help of the right line we need to explore the left one. To separate the tithe from it, the part that you are not able to correct, because it is your egoism and it is too big. Therefore, you can correct ninety percent of it, but you cannot correct the remaining ten percent.

That is, the correction of this part is that you simply separate it without working on yourself. Close your eyes, tear it away from yourself, and that’s it. In this way it corrects itself. You can correct the other ninety percent in the right line because its force can handle ninety percent of the left line.

When you correctly combine them with each other, connecting all your egoistic qualities to the intention in order to bestow with the right line, you build a middle line, which is called “Israel—straight to the Creator,” similarly to the Creator.

Question: What does it mean “You shall multiply the nation”?

Answer: It means to lift yourself up by your work. When you build the middle line, you are always lifting yourself up on it, as if on an elevator, in greater and greater similarity to the Creator.

Everything that practically corrects us is that double-edged sword that he received from the Creator and with which we raise ourselves, correct ourselves, and shift from our egoistic attitude to the world to love and bestowal.

Question: What does it mean “a face of a man”?

Answer: “A face of a man” means “similar to the Creator” because “man – Adam,” comes from the word “similar- Domeh” to the Creator.

Dreaming involves serious work on the part of our brain, it processes and stores all available information accumulated over a day or several days. The information is then allocated and stored in the archive of our minds. During this process, many random connections take place, so dreams frequently appear illusory.

In fact, during our dream state, serious decisions and actions take place. The mind works very intensively, but on a deep, inner level, which we have not yet explored. When this information has been stored and internally processed on the subconscious level, a person is ready to awaken.

We always see dreams. They constantly appear before us, for these processes are erratic inside our minds.

A person is now ready for the next day, for the following correct perception of information based on the previous day and the dream that he experienced, i.e., for a re-evaluation of the information that occurred during sleep. Therefore dreams, while disconnecting you from reality, allow you to correctly reset yourself and arrive at a new state with a different take on reality.

It is the same in spirituality since our world is a reflection of the spiritual world.

In spirituality, without falling asleep or disconnecting from reality like in our world, we consciously raise ourselves to the next level as if to the next day. Having broken away from the previous degree and not yet risen to the next one, we remain between them and wish to consciously transition from one to the other. This is the night between two days.

Between two realities we can feel such states that we are not internally ready for. We can feel what is not yet part of our understanding and see things that we are seemingly not supposed to see yet. We are still not ready for them.

Therefore, dreams are a very special, beautiful state from which you can draw far-reaching conclusions and find new aspirations.

Question: Why was it necessary after 1,000 years to write a commentary on the Torah?
