Research (Johns Hopkins University News Releases): “Objects — everything from cars, birds and faces to letters of the alphabet — look significantly different to people familiar with them, a new study suggests.

“Using the Arabic alphabet as a frame of reference, Johns Hopkins University researchers studied how experts in the language and novices viewed various letters and found clear evidence that visual processing is influenced by experience. Their findings are forthcoming in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance and now available online.”

Response: Kabbalah says that everything that we see is a reflection of our inner world, we see a world that is  in us. And further, all around us there is only white light, and we draw all the various colors of our intrinsic properties, which are different from that white light, on its background.

The white light is the characteristic of bestowal and love. Our paint is our egoistic characteristics different from the properties of bestowal. If we fix ourselves and resemble the white light, the property of bestowal, then merge with it, they say we reach adhesion (Dvekut) with it. This light is our Creator.

Question: 55 years ago, on April 12, a spaceship took off from Baikonur in Kazakhstan. Yuri Gagarin said, “Let’s fly!” With this began the Age of Cosmonautics (space flight and exploration). This is a nostalgic period for humanity.

Answer: There is a very strong subconscious attraction in people to break away from the Earth. This breaking away is like being born and going out to the next world.

This strong attraction exists because we have a point in the heart that attracts us to the upper world, not just to fly from one celestial body to another.

We already understand that there is nothing interesting and nothing to expect. Even if primitive life is found there, it would just be some kind of bacteria. Basically, other than life on Earth, there is now place else with biological life.

It is possible to explain the strong attraction of people to breaking out and being freed from this world to the upper world because, subconsciously for all of us, this world is like a prison, a cell in which we sit and are condemned to sit. Here you sit, and here you also will die!

In the sixties of the last century, when the first man flew into space, happiness and joy embraced everyone because it seemed that there would be a breakthrough and we could fly from Earth. This is not just to fly to other celestial bodies, but to fly from this world to other worlds! There was a feeling of the discovery of new frontiers. For us, another world symbolizes an absolute change, a new life, a new birth!

Today, we truly need to break out and leap to the next world. This breakthrough is programmed by nature and stands before us as a mission. It is up to us to enter into ourselves, like into a spaceship, and make this journey in our unique way from the point in the heart.

We must and can perform this process with the help of the yearning for unity between people. I think we have to ignite this dream. Let’s try!

Question: While in hiding, Kabbalah has acquired all kinds of myths like red strings, holy water, lucky charms, etc.. How can we tell the difference between the truth and a myth?

Answer: It is common knowledge that there are secrets in nature that have not been revealed by man yet, but which can be revealed. This is what science is systematically engaged in, moving forward and revealing the secrets of nature on all its levels.

There are secrets that science cannot reveal because there are forces in nature that science cannot perceive.

Anything associated with internal problems of the human prsyche, with the mechanism of thinking and understanding, is actually concealed from us and it is doubtful whether science will ever be able to reveal it.

Perhaps only on the corporeal level when we visualize the human brain as a computer, some sort of machine, which means when we relate to our brain as inanimate nature, can we study it, experiment on it, depict different features, and create mechanisms that seemingly resemble man.

Basically our inner structure is totally concealed from us. It doesn’t belong to our world because nature still exists only on three levels: the still, vegetative, and animate, while the fourth level, called man, currently does not exist in our world.

What we call human beings are actually creatures who are organized in a more sophisticate manner but not as humans in the Kabbalistic sense, which is the inner part of man by which he has to transcend the limits of our world, beyond the limits of the animate level, to the level of man, to the level of resembling the Creator and revealing Him.

There is nothing unnatural about this and it is simply the next level of consciousness, sensation, understanding, perception, and comprehension of nature that is different from ours. It is a holographic brain with intricate thinking. But in our world, these concepts don’t exist.

We feel something and see that we will not reach its real depth and don’t reach the truth because people are trying to draw a picture of the next level in their corporeal mind and feelings. But they are unable to do so because neither our feelings nor our mind are in the format that can create the picture of the upper world, to feel it or somehow draw it in itself.

We cannot enter this format. We don’t perceive radio waves, for example, but we can build instruments that can receive them. We do not perceive the upper attributes because we are opposite from them since we are egoistic creatures. The upper world is made of totally different attributes, properties of love, bestowal, altruism, outside ourselves above our egoism.

Therefore mistaken images are created in people’s minds on the corporeal level and biased speculations made regarding the wisdom of Kabbalah. In fact, the wisdom of Kabbalah tells us about the upper world and calls us to reveal it, but we have to follow special rules in order to attain it. The upper world is open for everyone to anyone who can change himself and begin to feel it.

Until then we have no choice, no tricks can help us. People may think and guess what the upper world is like and come up with different myths but it will be nothing like the real upper world.

Comment: A group of famous American scientists gathered in the American Museum of Natural History in New York in order to discuss topics that sound quite unreal.

In particular, it was noted that our Universe seems real to us, but lately an increasing number of scientists began to wonder whether the world around us is just a result of some complex simulation. And whether we and everything around us are just data points in some space hologram.

Answer: Our world is not a hologram, but a special system of forces that appears to us in this way and is displayed on the screen that exists inside of us.

There is no world outside of me and everything I see around is inside me: you and everybody else. It follows that I play with some images allegedly existing outside of me.

Actually there is only one quality outside of me:the quality of complete love and bestowal called “the Creator.” Kabbalists describe it very simply, like a given. And if you ask: “What about me?”—you feel the same relatively to yourself and so does everyone else.

So do you exist? Relatively to me you exist, relatively to you I do too. It is very difficult for us to understand. We will stay confused about this for a long time. However, nothing will work untill we exit into a correct image of the world and then we will see it all.

It is said in Kabbalah: “Whatever will be revealed to you, is revealed to you and nobody else.” And this is the only way it will be.

Question: Does it mean that science will not discover it?

Answer: It is impossible. We don’t yet have relevant properties in order to correctly determine and imagine to ourselves the real world.

One can say that it is a “matrix” and we live inside it. And this is not a fiction. We live inside the system of forces that draw within us, on our internal screen, different images that in reality don’t exist. Like electric forces draw all kind of images on the television screen, same way it happens inside us.

Scientists will reach a dead end because all their assumptions don’t have a proof and won’t give anything to humanity. In any case, science is limited by the fact that it attains everything within our five earthly, corporeal sense organs.

We have to rise above them and acquire a new sensory organ that allows us to exit “outside of ourselves.” And then we will start feeling the real world, not disturbed by our egoistic properties.

Question: You once said in a lecture that you see and remember images and pictures. The matter of creation is one: a desire to receive and the form is the intention either for yourself or for others, which means in order to bestow.

Does that mean that we have to try to see the Creator (the form of bestowal) behind every object in our world? Do we change our perspective or do we change ourselves by that?

Answer: No, my thinking is simply in images; I don’t see words but images and pictures to such an extent that I hardly speak. I don’t associate words with images that appear in me, and therefore I can barely learn foreign languages, etc.

In the News (nature.com): “A team of physicists has provided some of the clearest evidence yet that our Universe could be just one big projection.

“In 1997, theoretical physicist Juan Maldacena proposed that an audacious model of the Universe in which gravity arises from infinitesimally thin, vibrating strings could be reinterpreted in terms of well-established physics. The mathematically intricate world of strings, which exist in nine dimensions of space plus one of time, would be merely a hologram: the real action would play out in a simpler, flatter cosmos where there is no gravity.

“Maldacena’s idea thrilled physicists because it offered a way to put the popular but still unproven theory of strings on solid footing — and because it solved apparent inconsistencies between quantum physics and Einstein’s theory of gravity. It provided physicists with a mathematical Rosetta stone, a ‘duality’, that allowed them to translate back and forth between the two languages, and solve problems in one model that seemed intractable in the other and vice versa … . But although the validity of Maldacena’s ideas has pretty much been taken for granted ever since, a rigorous proof has been elusive.”

“In two papers posted on the arXiv repository, Yoshifumi Hyakutake of Ibaraki University in Japan and his colleagues now provide, if not an actual proof, at least compelling evidence that Maldacena’s conjecture is true.”

My Comment: According to Kabbalah, there is nothing but the 10 Sefirot (Root and the 4 letter name of the Creator, these are 5 Sefirot. One of them, ZA, consists of 6, thus 10). And yet, all that you can imagine is the private view of the 10 Sefirot, because each of the Sefirot is divided into 10 of its sub-Sefirot, etc.

Thus, we believe: 5 worlds, five Partzufim, 5 Sefirot ‑ total 125 degrees from our world to the world of Infinity. All stages have the same structure, and the difference between them is only in the clarity of details of disclosure of the Creator in the world. The higher the level, the more detailed it is and the more clearly it reveals the Creator.

Question: You keep on saying that we don’t have the tools to manage our lives in our world, but what about our thoughts?

After all, there is a theory that our world is an infinite space of variations and our dominant thoughts influence this or another version of the development of the events in our lives. It seems logical that thoughts lead to deeds, and deeds lead to results.

The film The Secret speaks about the same idea. It is much more pleasant and optimistic to know that something depends on us in this life than to live with the hope of change, even to the best, but it is an illusory world for us.

Answer: According to what the Kabbalists discover in the upper world, our world is completely managed from above, while we can influence events only through the upper world by attracting the Light of correction, which is called Ohr Makif (Surrounding Light).

Comment: Scientists from the Universities of Melbourne and California have proven that unduly risky behavior is contagious. We see how much gambling, reckless driving on the highways, and even terrorist organizations attract many people because the environment influences us very strongly.

Answer: The idea is not in the influence of the environment, but that the person comes in contact with the unknown in this manner. He feels that there is something unknown that manages him; there is some kind of force found above him. In the monotony of daily life he cannot come in contact with that power. It is only if he tries to break through to it that he can come under its influence and feel a connection with it.

This is a very internal and strong need. What is gambling? If I were to know from the start the benefit or the loss, then this would become a business. The game lies in the fact that I do not know the outcome, and it is my pleasure, and it is desirable, because when I climb over the unknown, I rise above egoism and begin to feel the force of that is above us—the force that controls our world.

This is what throws people into the arms of gambling and terrorist organizations. I am not talking about those who are attracted to a future “paradise” after death, but specifically about those who are looking for adventure or daring scientists who conduct experiments on themselves, etc.

But all of this is very small. A miserable man has no other way to connect with the higher management, a higher purpose, to rise above himself, to escape from himself. What kind of benefit does a person derive from Bungee jumping?

I had an acquaintance who loved jumping without a parachute very much and his friend had to catch him in the air. This gave him inner satisfaction. Fear prevents regular people from doing this, while he explained everything very simply, “I get the pleasure that is higher than the fear; I cannot stop myself!”

Question: Is it possible to direct such people to search for spirituality?

Answer: This is a problem, because seeking spirituality places a person in situations that he creates with his own effort. When he understands his dependence on the upper force, he discovers these states, and then the higher power is revealed to him. But this happens in a very complex inner struggle with serious preparation.

This is not a breakthrough, it is not an adventure; it is life. When the person lives his dependence, he raises himself to the level of the managing upper force and begins to work in partnership with it. Then a “second wind” develops in him. He is found simultaneously in the present, the past, and the future. Everything merges into one single whole. The feeling that fills him removes all impressions of time, movement and location and he feels that he flows permanently in this state.

So when you look at the childish attempts to obtain a “grab a tiger by the tail” feeling, you  realize that people so want to fill themselves for a moment, while this feeling may be tested constantly. In spirituality it is possible to feel this sensation permanently.

Question: If the Creator is not a persona but a system of natural laws, how is it possible to love a system? Until now, I have trusted Him and I believed that I turned to Him, but now I understand that it is simply necessary to integrate into the system correctly and that is all.

Answer: If you love someone, then you love a system of views, thoughts, and emotions, a system of questions and answers. In any connection with another person, you interact with a particular system because every person is a system in itself, whether he is loved or hated.

People are like machines with mind and feelings, a brain and heart, and somehow interact with each other. I know that sometimes I am angry at my computer as if it were an inspired creature: I interact with its system and it influences my system. There is no problem with talking about a person in the same way, as a system.

From the point of view of Kabbalah, we are only a desire, a force. This force attracts pleasant fulfillments to itself that are defined by us as necessary and essential, and it rejects and removes anything that is unpleasant, unnecessary, or harmful from itself. This means that there is a system of forces that is acting within us.

In the perception of reality topic in Kabbalah, we learn that all of our senses perceive signals that we identify inside of us as good or bad. For example, within our nose, we have small hairs that absorb different fragrances. Through the olfactory sense, we enjoy those fragrances.

This means that a particular frequency influences our sense of smell. This olfactory sense sends an electrical signal to the brain, and the brain determines the level of influence and the quality of the fragrance according to different parameters, pleasant, unpleasant, and so on.

We are talking about systems. I understand that you want to talk about feelings, but it would be more correct to arrange everything according to waves, according to forces, as is customary in the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: Does Kabbalah suggest that we should transcend this system?

Answer: No, Kabbalah suggests that we should study and control it. We are living within this system and cannot get out of it. We must learn to control and manage it correctly. Then, we will know how to control our world, and we will discover that it was created for us.

Question: But a Kabbalist has the same senses that other people have.

Answer: With the help of these senses, the Kabbalist begins to advance toward a higher goal. He understands how to use all feelings and bring them to a harmonious inner state in which the Creator is revealed. Moreover, he must manage his feelings, to detect within him the desires that will lead him to the revelation of the Creator and to fill them.

Question: Do we lack the receptors for feeling this?

Answer: We lack inner development. Everything exists within us: all people, all worlds, and the Creator, who is felt as the highest pleasure.

Question: Can the future really be revealed through dreams?

Answer: Sometimes dreams give correct and true information about the future. After all, the future is programmed clearly and completely accurately. There are people like Wolf Messing who sense the future, but Kabbalists don’t particularly deal with this.

Nevertheless, reorganization happens in a dream, rearrangement, renewed referencing of all impressions, so future states can also be revealed because a person is not found in his ego but in a particular detachment from his ego. To that degree he can sense the future.
