Question: Through its activity, can our group help the world prevent a new holocaust now?

Answer: Definitely! I am constantly speaking about this; it is for this that we exist. If Israel decides that the interior is more important for them than the exterior, everything is in our hands. I mean that the interior, bestowal, must be the higher value, more dear than reception, in other words, faith above reason.

If we arrange Israel this form (1-2), nothing more is needed. All the rest will take care of itself. It’s not necessary to look at the world, as it will be a copy of what happens with us.

Yet today, neither our group nor the exterior of Israel, meaning the people of Israel, are suitably connected. And it’s also necessary to take into account that the exterior of Israel still has a part called the “mixed multitude.” All of these parts must be arranged correctly, from above to below.

Israel is to blame for this, and only they can correct everything. The problem is that when we remember what happened, it’s up to us to draw the right conclusions and begin to act so that this will never come back. But we are not doing it.

So the Memorial Day for the holocaust comes and life goes on as before. And that we are going and advancing towards that same state doesn’t bother anyone. People don’t understand the connection between this state and that one.

Israel is fighting for its image all the time. But why relate to this if through our inner state we determine everything that happens outside. Billions are being poured into creating a good name for ourselves in the world. But this won’t ever happen. If we do what is necessary to unite, the whole world will feel this inside, will accept this knowledge together with the Light, and will understand that something good happened.

And people will understand that this is coming through us. They will lift us upon their shoulders, as the prophets wrote, in order to bring us to the sacred Kli of the collective soul. The world is ready for it. The problem is that before us are the people of Israel, a “stiff-necked people”, as it is called in the Torah. But we must carry out our work on that condition.

A day like this is the most appropriate time to talk about this to all of the people. Everything depends upon Israel. This people endured many troubles throughout all the generations. But if a person goes deeply into the wisdom of Kabbalah and sees the plan of creation, he cannot blame the higher supervision for anything. He will be convinced that it’s always good and beneficent.

It’s impossible to do anything against this because everything is done with a single goal, to bring us to wholeness. If we have a child, we can pamper him with everything and comply with all of his desires. But everyone knows that he will grow up to be a worthless man. So there is no choice, we must take him together with all of his egoistic nature, with strong hands, and educate him, and then he will grow up to be good person.

Israel marks the Memorial Day for the Holocaust and the heroism of the European Jewry. During our discussion, it is up to us first of all to clarify for ourselves the general picture that the wisdom of Kabbalah describes, the evolution of the common Kli from Ein Sof and its appearance in our world. After this Kli was shattered into pieces, it went through an additional shattering here, and began to develop in the opposite direction after that. This is essentially the last stage towards the correction that began in Babylon.

Although it is possible to begin counting from Adam, we are not talking about personal advancement only about group advancement where the part worthy of correction is revealed in the collective Kli, the part responsible for correcting itself and all the rest of the parts. This is the law that is derived from the integral, analog system that is closed and is completely dependent on its original ten Sefirot.

So Abraham built the first group in Babylon, and it had the responsibility of correcting the collective Kli. With the rest of the Babylonians, he made other kinds of corrections, and as a result of this, various religions and beliefs were born. He led the group to greater and greater connection. And the more that it realized connection for the good of the rest of the parts, the more it developed.

This group, later called the people of Israel, carried out corrections when it was connected with other souls, with other nations who lived in the land of Canaan, if we are speaking in physical terms about spiritual connections within the spiritual Kli. Then there was the Egyptian exile. After Abraham’s group left, it actively began to correct itself reaching the level of the first Temple; it fell from this level into the Babylonian exile, returned and built the level of the second Temple, after which they fell for thousands of years until our day.

And so Abraham’s group was responsible for the process of correction of the world, and this program of development consists of two parts that determine the way of the development for the group and for humanity. The development of the group depends on the development of the world. The group doesn’t exist for itself; it is inseparable from the whole, and so all of the corrections that it does can be good for it, but still are not good enough for the world. As a result of this, throughout history, the people of Israel continue to fall and suffer disasters.

The prophets even wrote about this; it was revealed to Jacob, who symbolizes for us the correction of the middle line, which he heads. And so the account of the people of Israel is not only about themselves, whether they like it or not; it depends on all of them, and they all depend on it. This has continued from the exodus from Babylon to the present day and will continue until the end of correction.

What I mean is that we cannot see the situation that is created around the people of Israel in a conventional way in the world. This is because we have no answer to any question. The world still doesn’t understand why it is so confused about this point, that it apparently seems secondary, but yet it remains like a bone in the throat. Only if we reveal the true picture of the entire creation, as well as the role of the people of Israel in regard to the nations of the world and in regard to the Creator, then we will see everything in a different light.

Historical development is derived from spiritual development that obligates the people of Israel to carry out its role in the world, to correct ourselves, to bring Light to the nations of the world, and to lead them. Israel and the nations are like Galgalta ve Eynaim and AHP, one body, about which it is said: (Isaiah 56:7) “For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” Specifically from this prism it is up to us to see the history of the people of Israel, and also not to forget that the Creator is found above this collective Kli and the nations of the world with His program that relates to the two interrelated parts. He activates the entire process, and how He reacts and realizes it depends on Israel.

On the other hand, we must understand that we don’t begin the spiritual path on the “right foot.” The whole world, meaning the collective soul, is shattered; therefore, the calculation is not done with a neutral Kli, but rather with a shattered Kli. This question may be asked: Why were the people of Israel forced to go down to Egypt and suffer? That is, they did the correction that was demanded of them, they reached the level of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and did everything that was necessary. So, why didn’t they receive a bright future? Why did an abyss open in front of them forcing them to later escape?

This answer is known to us; they lacked the Kelim that they needed to discover. We already know that the form that troubles come in makes no difference; it is up to us to transform them so that instead of fear there is awe, so that the characteristic of Hasadim will expand the narrow place. It is necessary to correct what comes to us: the evil, the sorrow, the exile, and the blows, without asking why it comes.

It is said: (Psalms 130:1) “Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.” The question is only do we have enough to carry each and every step of all the directions for correction that comes to us? If not, then to our great sorrow, we constantly absorb blows including those for which we apparently are not guilty, as happened to the group of Jacob that was forced to go down to Egypt. The dispute that led to this caused the collective development of the Kelim.”

And so we already understand the process that they always told us, that shattered Kelim were to be discovered, meaning, things that were originally unpleasant. This is clear and there is no question here at all. The idea is only how to correct the situation at a good and useful rate. It could be that in the beginning my motivation is to flee from troubles, from evil, from pain, from threats and dangers, yet in the end, I must realize the corrections in order to connect everything to the higher source and to give Him contentment. And with this comes the completion of correction. And it is desirable to express readiness immediately, according to “the last thing done is the first thing considered.”

Therefore I must organize the environment and prepare for difficulties from the start.

In general, when we begin the work, we must understand that if I realize free choice together with the group, then essentially it cannot be that I will suffer. On the contrary, I see a call from above in everything that arouses and bothers me. Certainly on the way I also feel descents, yet very short, not prolonged; these are not the terrible upheavals that happened before. Everything depends upon preparation.

Today the problem of the people of Israel with the Creator penetrates into everything that is done and is developing in the theater of our world. In order to agitate these people, the Creator awakens the Pharaoh through the kings of Egypt, Spain, France, and England, whatever. This could be Hitler; it could be all other leaders through which the Creator awakens special treatment for the Jews by the example of the Egyptian exile. And the Jews must respond accordingly. Even though they are not that bad and try to do something, but yet the people still continue, and a great Kli is discovered that activates additional pressure.

And so the relationship between GE and AHP depends on several factors that are very difficult to explain to the world in the traditional language of the historical approach. Just as it is impossible to explain complexities of familial dynamics even to people who understand and have personal experience. No great novels or stories can help here, a person must pass through the inside, and then he will see for himself how the general system works and is constantly changing. And its parts, which are the nations of the world, Israel, and the Creator, are one (Israel, the Torah and the Creator are one) are tightly connected. He will see the general program of creation, the three lines which advance towards the end of correction, through the ladder of spiritual levels by way of the circles and straight lines.

This is a very complicated system since it is a multifaceted program in which the endless Kelim, the desires, are mutually and integrally connected and found in all kinds of changes.

We can give only partial and fragmented explanations about particular historical events, so we must simply copy the general picture from the spiritual map since it is impossible to describe them or apply descriptions of the physical world to them.

Returning to the subject of the Holocaust, it was revealed in a unique situation in Europe, which was the cultural center of the world, in the most developed nation and in a country where a multitude of Jews lived, who had invested enormous effort in culture, education, the economy, and other areas human life. They were truly ready to join with these people and to assimilate; yet they encountered a very violent reaction from those who hadn’t seen any problem with Jews. This hatred seemed largely irrational. The Jews were doctors, lawyers, engineers, and scientists in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. So why did this happen?

Again, there are several reasons for this. First of all, the egoistic development of the world had reached a stage that required the beginning of the general correction and the Jews had to be the head. They were concentrated in Germany and held a very high status, but they were involved in completely different things. As a result, the demands and the arguments against them from the side of the AHP greatly increased since the nations, according to the program of creation, felt powerless. There were other circumstances for example, Hitler even received money from the United States and was supported in the beginning by a particular strata of the population including the Jews themselves.

In general it is possible to say that parts of the collective Kli are divided in a particular manner and this was expressed in our world. One way or another, the answer to all of the questions and problems is simple. If the Jews for whatever reason, depending on them more or less, were connected to the ideas of previous generations and the present condition, and had delayed the program of creation according to which they were supposed to bring correction to the AHP as well as to the entire still, vegetative, and animate levels of creation, and elevate them all to Olam Ein Sof (world of Infinity), then this caused them trouble and suffering. There is also significance to the level and type of delays, not only its quality and manner. These criteria change all the time on different levels, and therefore, their expression can be completely different. Yet in fact, in a particular and general manner, this is the origin of anti-Semitism. And therefore it is specifically here that it is necessary to search for the true reasons for the Holocaust.

It is written, (Psalms 148:6) “He hath made a decree which shall not be transgressed.” We are in a world that is entirely managed by one power, and this power acts according to a program, the relationship between the Lights and the Kelim. In normal life, there are a multitude of difficult and terrible conditions with which we cannot and are not ready to agree or justify. And emotionally it is impossible for us to agree with what happened during the Holocaust.

If there had been an eruption of a volcano, a tsunami, a meterorite, or any other natural disaster causing tens of millions of people to die, including six million Jews, then we would not call this a Holocaust, but a deadly disaster. Yet in Europe people didn’t just die, they were intentionally murdered only because they were Jews. The cause of this phenomenon is up to us to clarify. And this is already a completely different investigation. What did they do incorrectly “in the eyes of the Creator,” meaning from the perspective of the law of creation, which caused such an attitude towards them from the side of the environment? If we ask this question, then we can find the answer.

Question: How can we balance the study, the dissemination, and our ordinary life in the family and at work correctly?

Answer: We always feel pressure in every direction: The family demands that we spend all our time with it, at work, we have to make great efforts in what we do. But we always have to choose what is most important.

Everything depends on importance. There are people who can dedicate more time to the study and to dissemination, and others have less time. There are those who say that nothing depends on them, and others do everything possible for their spiritual development since otherwise their life will come to nothing. One thing depends on another, on the importance of the spiritual development that is established in the group.

We are living in a very special time, and we can see this in the way the world develops and the changes in it, and even by the changes in the climate. So, we have to consider how we make decisions and how much the world depends on us.

If we don’t convey the Light that Reforms to the world, it will be our fault. This is the mission of the Jews, of Israel. Israel means Yashar-El (straight to the Creator), and it is a conductor, an adapter. If we don’t convey the upper Light down to the entire world, we create a problem.

We must be the conductor and even the amplifier of the Light by our good work. Besides, we have to arrange the Light correctly by pouring it to the world through us like through a funnel so that it will be soft and smooth, and at the right angle. Our adaptor is rather complicated, and it has ten Sefirot.

However, if we don’t do all that and don’t adapt the Light correctly, we cannot connect and adapt the created beings, the entire world, to the Creator. First, we have to correct ourselves, and that is the reason that we feel pressure. The world is putting great negative pressure on us in the form of hatred and anti-Semitism.

There is also pressure from Above since we are like a bottleneck through which the Light and the abundance must pour unto those below. Therefore, we are in a special time and can advance seriously and powerfully. However, on the other hand, we also can lose everything.

Question: How is the task of uniting the people connected to building our spiritual Partzuf?

Answer: First of all, we arrange a small part, all who belong to the spiritual Israel: all of our friends throughout the world, all the groups. If we yearn to connect between us, we are building the spiritual Partzuf, but this Partzuf is very small. This is only Galgalta ve Eynaim (GE).

So that GE will have power, we must connect the AHP to us. In GE, there is the Aviut (thickness) of 0-1-2-3-4. Also, in the Light of Hassadim, there is its NRNHY. So, we are compelled to organize external dissemination. It is written about this that people will take the children of Israel on their shoulders and will bring them to Jerusalem to build the Temple. As it is written, “And the peoples shall take them, and bring them to their place; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Creator” (Isaiah 14:2), as well as, “…and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.” (Isaiah 49:22).

In this form, we rise to the height of the Temple. However, when we begin to build it, the nations of the world, who brought us there, will enter and be integrated into this building of the true spiritual Partzuf that is built from ten Sefirot into the Malchut of the world of Infinity.

We cannot build our spiritual Partzuf without the people of Israel and without the entire world. But first of all, we need to connect the people of Israel as AHP to our GE.

So, we are involved with dissemination. We simply have no choice because if we don’t disseminate, we ourselves will not grow. We are not talking about growth such that people will join us and be like us as a result of our dissemination efforts. Instead, thanks to serving the people, our GE will grow towards the higher goal.

Question: What will people get from our dissemination?

Answer: If people support us, they will receive Ohr Makif  (Surrounding Light) through us and even a little more than this. Everything depends upon how much they are connected to us. It is even possible to receive inner illumination. Without a doubt, a strong feeling of support, security, and protection will appear.

There is no difference in the Light, whether it is Hochma or Hassadim. Everything depends only on those who receive the Light. If people nullify themselves and connect to us, then they reach the first level, the still, and begin to feel the spiritual power in it.

Question: What else do we require from people besides aligning with us and giving support?

Answer: We need to provide education to the people, not just once, for us to explain what we are doing, and then enlist their support. We must involve everyone in a systematic process of education. Thanks to this, we will grow.

My Comment: Why is there indignation if Israel itself causes this? Jews were allowed to return to their land, to organize their own state by its constitution: “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” according to that law upon which they came from ancient Babylon to become an independent nation.

 If they do not build a society that should show the world its future and if they do not become “light to the nations of the world,” in this, their existence as a distinct people and a state is unreasonable, and the power of nature (the Creator) will banish them from the land again, as it happened 2,000 years ago due to the unfounded hatred that arose in the people.

“‘There is a challenge, the challenge is: is there a future for Jews in Europe? And the situation with the rise of anti-Semitism in western and eastern Europe is very concerning, and the Fundamental Rights agency published a survey last year, showing that 29% of European Jews are thinking about emigrating from Europe, because of not feeling safe any more, as Jews living here. So and this figure rise to 40% in Belgium and close to 50% in Hungary or France. My Comment: Anti-Semitism is a natural phenomenon because Jews are the carriers of a special spiritual gene the “point in the heart.” Its presence explains the uniqueness of this nation, its history and talent. But its uniqueness lies in the destiny: in our time, when the world has exhausted the possibilities of its egoistic development and seeks the direction and method of its further development, the Jews must reveal their basis “love thy neighbor” and the method of achieving it—the wisdom of Kabbalah.

They must learn and apply it to themselves, and by this reveal an example of the future to the world and bring Light to the nations of the world. It is by aspiring to this destiny that we will discover that only this action will cancel the hatred of the nations of the world towards us. Otherwise, they subconsciously feel and blame us for their troubles.

Today we are in both spiritual and material exile because there is no connection between us, no Light of redemption shines among us, and the Creator is not revealed in any connection between us. There is no doubt that this is considered exile. The fact that we are in the territory of the state of Israel doesn’t indicate anything. For the land of Israel are a people connected with a shared yearning directly to the Creator (Yashar-El). We are in exile, but in spite of it all, we try to reach redemption, meaning to correct our desires in order to bestow and to discover the Light within them.

The whole world, all seven billion, is in exile relative to the future state of redemption. This is because they are expected to discover the Light of redemption, to discover the Creator, and to see all of the infinite reality, all of the worlds. But in the meantime they are in exile.

There are people like us who feel that they are in exile, but all the rest don’t feel it. As in Egypt, there were people like these and there were others. Some people didn’t find it an exile and wanted to stay there.

The main thing is to understand that we are a desire to receive that is in a ruined state, meaning in exile. And to the degree of the correction and the elevation of the sparks above the desire to receive, the redemption arrives. It’s necessary to interpret these concepts only this way and not to ascribe them to our bodies, to this imaginary world.

Question: At the time of Mordecai and Esther was the highest Zivug, which corresponds to the end of correction. What needs to be done in order to achieve this same state again?

Answer: We must live through all the material actions that have spiritual roots.

There were the all these events:ancient Babylon, Egyptian slavery, wandering in the desert, entering the land of Israel, erecting of the First Temple and its further destruction, Babylonian exile, constructing of the Second Temple, its devastation and exile—all these events took place for a reason. Now, we are approaching the very end.

The Purim events took place during the Babylonian exile. Since the destruction of the First Temple, we lost the Light of Mochin de Haya that was included in our Reshimo. This light was dormant and it was impossible to awaken it. It awakens only as a result of the action called Purim, only under its influence.

Due to the fact that the Jews won the Purim war, they were able to reveal the Upper Root. Now, we have to repeat this action on a worldwide scale. If not for the necessity to correct the entire world, we would build a Temple in the land of Israel out of our desire called Isra-el (Yashar-Kel – directly to the Creator.) We are talking only about spirituality, not materiality. At the time of final correction, the inanimate, vegetative, animate, and speaking levels will be included in one spiritual degree.

Besides the people of Israel, there are nations of the world, and they are unable to directly connect with spirituality. That’s why the people of Israel were exiled and had to spread among them. During the last exile we mixed with the most distanced nations of the world. As to close nations, we mingled with them during prior exiles. The major connection happened between Persians and our people during the Babylonian exile.

Queen Esther is a real historical personage. Her son, Koresh, helped to build the Second Temple. He gave money to the Jews and brought them back to the land of Israel. He also helped to rebuild the entire country and invested a lot into its resurrection.

All these events should be revealed to the world as branches that originate from spiritual roots. Today, we reached the epoch of complete deliverance. That’s why there never will be a new Queen Esther, Ahasuerus, Haman—all these were material characters who participated in a theatrical performance. At this time, only spiritual forces that are yet to be discerned are acting.

These spiritual forces are detached from materiality, that’s why it is incorrect to state that modern Iranians are the same ancient Babylonians that were our enemies at some point. Not at all! We have to take a broader view. Anywhere in the world is the land of Israel, Babylon, Egypt, etc. We must not look at the map but at human nature. Today, we are in the state of the last exile that deals only with spirituality because at this time the world has become global, as one family.

Everything is just about one desire. We should split this overall desire into inanimate, vegetative, animate, and speaking levels. We have to filter these levels so that each time we regard things according to our current step, without connecting it to corporeality. There is no materiality. Everything is determined by the desire.

That’s why Purim, Mordecai, Esther, and Ahasuerus are only about spiritual paths. Spiritual forces are the only thing we should consider in this corporeal world.

From Baal HaSulam’s articles “The Giving of the Torah” and “Arvut (The Mutual Guarantee)” and other sources including Rav Kook’s writings, we clearly see that those who aspire to merge with the Creator without pulling the entire world cannot achieve correction.

We need to realize that hiding from the world, taking care of ourselves, and studying for ourselves are very comfortable for our egoism, but it does not help. Until we realize this, nothing happens.

Don’t complain that the world is not receptive and does not want to listen. Those are just excuses to justify our laziness and discomfort in this material plane. When it comes to the Upper Force that organizes the entire reality and creates all internal and external conditions for us, we need to decide once and for all and confirm each day that by not observing this particular requirement, we do not deal with spiritual advancement.
