When Does The Point In The Heart Open?

Laitman_198Question: You have said that a person has a Jewish point. Is this the black dot or is it the point of non-identity, and when does it begin to be revealed?

Answer: When you begin to think about the meaning of life.

Question: Is it in every person?

Answer: Yes, in everyone. This point is called “Jewish – Yichudi” from the Hebrew word “union – yichud, union with the Creator. It gradually becomes a Sefira, and then a Partzuf.

It is a whole spiritual structure. This point is in every person in the world. Those in whom it awakens are called Jews, Hebrews from the Hebrew word “la’avor – to pass,” to transcend from an egoistic state to an altruistic state. It has nothing to do with the Jews in our world. It is a spiritual definition.

How To Fill This Life?

Laitman_079.01Question: In general, there are three main strategies for combating the coronavirus in the world.

The first is quarantine, when almost everything is closed, you cannot go outside, except to the doctor and to the supermarket.

The second is contact tracking, meaning extensive testing of all contact population groups, identification of patients, and their isolation from the total mass of people. This is a more expensive way.

And the third is the development of national [herd] immunity, when only risk groups, for example, people over 65 are isolated, and everyone else should get contaminated, and thus, develop immunity to the virus.
What technique is most effective for our further development as humanity?

Answer: I would generally put everyone in absolute quarantine, except for those who supply people with everything necessary. I would close everything, for example, for a month and discover from all human occupations, what we need.

For example, we need the police, teaching children, distributing food, etc., that is, the necessary minimum for the normal existence of mankind.

People should get used to the fact of communicating with each other in a very limited range and getting the food they need and not more than that. Children receive school education. Adults gain knowledge about how the world system works and how we should interact with nature. And then we’ll see what to do next, whether we want to expand the field of our activity at all. But first, let’s get used to this for half a year.

Question: That is, would you limit all egoistic connections and leave only the most necessary for the existence of our physical body?

Answer: Yes, as it is said in Kabbalah. Like an animal that never consumes what it does not need, but only what is needed at the moment.

Question: Would you stop supplying an excess of the necessary for now?

Answer: Not just temporarily, but in general. Then we would have a wonderful ecology: air, water, birds singing, everything would be fine. We would work a maximum of 2, 3, or 4 hours a day, and everyone would be happy. And all that is superfluous that could possibly be, we do not need at all.

Comment: But it is not easy to decide what is superfluous. That which is superfluous for you, for example, is not for me.

My Response: What is unnecessary for our animal organism is superfluous.

Question: And who decides this?

Answer: Let’s decide together. If you need to play sports, you can go jogging in the park. It’s not a problem. But what’s the use of flying planes from one end to the other end of the earth like crazy?

Question: And what’s wrong with traveling? I like to dress beautifully, I like to go to the theater. I don’t know if this is superfluous or not from your point of view?

Answer: Here it is necessary to draw a very clear, reasonable line that will not lead you to something else: “Ah, the theater? If the theater, then it should be La Scala. So, I have to fly to Italy. Ah, to Italy? Coronavirus. What will I do?” Therefore, let’s limit human life to normal, reasonable boundaries. How? Why do we exist? This question has to be resolved for us.

Question: That is, we will decide what is superfluous and what is not with respect to some higher goal?

Answer: And why do we exist? Only to watch a good movie, go to the theater, listen to pleasant music, sit in company with friends, have a drink and eat? This is all wonderful, but if you fill life with this and only this, then it ends with a zero result.

After this life there is so much more. Let us first reveal what exists after. I would do that. The fact that I can fill this life with all sorts of interesting things, that I understand, I already lived it. And now I’m wondering if there is anything else behind it. And if so, how can I continue this, for what, why?

Comment: Indeed, it is worth considering whether there is life after death, and how we can, being here in this body, prepare for it.

My Response: Not to prepare, but to see it! “Discover your future world in this world.” This is exactly what the science of Kabbalah teaches us. When you have a clear picture of your future life, you can decide how to fill this life.

Why Did Nature Create Man?

742.03Question: Why did nature create man?

Answer: Man was created in order to exist between the two forces, positive and negative, and to become similar to the positive force of nature. Therefore, a human being is called “Adam” from the word “domeh” (like), meaning like the general nature.

In fact, a human being includes absolutely all the forces of nature. Only, at the present time, we see that a human is a small, one-sided, underdeveloped, selfish, and unhappy creature. He is not even a human being because he is not like the general system of nature.

He was created precisely in order to absorb all the forces of nature, combine them within himself in the right way, and control the entire universe.

laitman_294.2Question: Does the point in the heart awaken by itself or does anyone help it?

Answer: The point in the heart awakens by itself when a serious attraction to the attainment of the upper world, to one’s fate, and to the system of the upper providence is revealed in a person. Questions such as, “What is happening to me and how does the world go round?” stem from the point in the heart.

Question: Are there any specific signs according to which we can be certain that the point in the heart has been revealed?

Answer: The revelation of the point in the heart and its opening are expressed by a person’s attraction to the attainment of the meaning of life. It is when he is not satisfied by watching a movie or by reading a novel or so on, but by attaining the meaning of life more seriously.

If a person must really know what he is living for and if he doesn’t there is no meaning to his life, that is the point in the heart.

Question: Corporeal sciences have evolved over time. Hunger has forced man to observe the vegetative world and to explore it, and this is how botany developed. Diseases and the ways of healing them led to the development of medicine. Building houses and establishing useful mechanisms led to the development of mechanics, and this led to the development of physics.

Does the same process take place in the wisdom of Kabbalah? Do we attain this knowledge by our exertion and our experience and does it develop together with us?

Answer: Of course. This is how we have revealed the wisdom of Kabbalah throughout all this time, as a result of our great desire to attain the world in which we live.

Get To Know Yourself

laitman_278.02Question: Today, during the pandemic period, a person is faced with a serious question. He has gotten used to running around, sometimes running away from himself, and he is very afraid to stop, to face fear, and to get to know himself.

Now is the perfect time to get to know yourself and your fears. What would you advise him? What is fear and how should we deal with it?

Answer: Fear is a consequence of the unknown. Otherwise where does it come from? A person who understands the essence of a phenomenon, even if it is something terrible, has a different attitude to it.

The problem with today’s situation is that people don’t know what is happening to them and why. They do not know what will happen to them tomorrow. Moreover, it feels like these issues are in the air, and no one can touch them or solve them somehow.

Question: Do you think it is necessary and important for a person to get to know his fears?

Answer: I believe that everyone, in order to live as a human, must understand why he or she was born, why this world was created, what is beyond death, etc. You must reveal all these questions, otherwise your life is restless just so you won’t think about it.

Question: I see two kinds of people: those who are obsessed with fear and those who do not take the problem seriously. Where is the middle ground?

Answer: I think that there can’t be a middle ground here. A person should understand why the virus is spreading, how it affects him personally and all the people together, and why it was given to us by nature.

That is, we can take advantage of the current state, reveal it, and find out what we are living for, why nature is punishing us this way, if we deserve it, and how to get rid of the virus.

We need to use this state in its entirety. Especially since everyone is sitting at home and do not know what to do next: not rulers, nor ordinary citizens. We need to figure this out, and we have such an opportunity.

We must stop this endless running around and try to understand why we exist. Otherwise, our life is too stupid.

The Awakening Of The Point In The Heart

laitman_263Comment: At the present time, the so-called point in the heart is increasingly awakening in people. It would seem that all the pleasures of this world together with the latest technologies are at our disposal, but a person is numb to everything.

Answer: The fact is that a person wants to know what is behind these technologies. Still, life has its beginning and end, and it is so incomprehensible. We begin to contemplate: who is managing us, how, why, what is happening to us, and where are the causes of these phenomena?

A person must know this. He cannot roam about all the time without thinking and knowing the buttons to press. He wants to understand a bit more. Such hopelessness, such lack of understanding of life, and such lack of control disturbs him of course.

Look at how quickly the coronavirus is spreading today. The whole world is standing up. What can they do? Nothing. And look at how small we are as humans in the face of this crisis. You can do anything with us.

Therefore, we would like to know: What force are we under? What system controls us? What should we do with ourselves, with life?

All these uncontrollable things such as viruses, volcanoes, and hurricanes awaken a person. We see that in nature everything happens according to certain laws. What are the laws of my life? I want to know this formula. Maybe there is, and probably it is true that there is definitely some parameter that I can change somehow, and with its help, influence my destiny.

Comment: Suppose a person leads a normal life, and suddenly this point in the heart awakens in him. Your teacher, the great Kabbalist Rabash speaks about this in his articles in a harsh way.

When a person receives into his heart a part of the soul of Kedusha [holiness], and the soul wants to be a giver, and the will to receive does not give it the required forces, then the will to receive itself takes no pleasure in life, since the desire to bestow does not let it rest. Each day, it makes it see that if he lives like a beast, this is not a life, when his only needs are worldly lusts (Rabash, “Concerning Suffering”).

My Response: A person fills himself with all kinds of small pleasures of this world simply so that he will not have to ask for more. Like, for example, a small child is given something in order to distract him from serious problems. This is how we live.

Why Do You Want To Live Like This?

laitman_249.01Humanity is in a complete panic because of the coronavirus, which forces us to stop all production, all trade, it paralyzes and blocks entire countries. But an ordinary person thinks about his family first, about his children and how to feed them tomorrow. He is mostly concerned about how to survive. And this is the reason why the world agrees to freeze, as if saying, “First, we will take care of life, and then we will restore industry and production.”

But who does my fate depend on? How can it be influenced; how can you guarantee a good future for yourself? If we knew the answers to these questions, then we would probably calm down a bit.

This question arises in everyone because we are primarily animals. There are only three levels in nature: inanimate, vegetative, and animate. And the human species belong to the animate level, only we are more developed. Therefore, first of all, we need food, just like animals. It is written: “If there is no bread, there is no Torah.” Food is essential for life.

But in the situation with the coronavirus, nature apparently wants to teach us something and asks us a question from a different perspective: “What do you want to live by? Just by the instinct of self-preservation like all other species? That is not enough.”

Animal species can live like this without having to worry about anything else. But us humans should start asking what we live for. And this is already a problem.

And so, the coronavirus comes as a bitter medicine and asks: “What are you living for? Do not rush to answer, think. And I will help you: I will cancel all the false activities that you came up with, which is 90% of all your doing. It is 90% of everything you produced, sold, and threw away, depleting our planet’s resources. You worked for each other so you could sell and buy all the time, just to toss it away in the end.”

The whole planet has become a landfill. We built a system that produces things to throw away so that we have something to do. We cannot exist without working this way. But suddenly, the coronavirus comes and stops us so that we can no longer run to sell and buy. As if it asks, “And what will you do now? Think about why you were doing all that and you will see that there was no benefit in it. It is time for you to think about another kind of life, about its meaning, about what you are living for.”

You cannot build a system that operates like a conveyor belt where everyone produces and produces and produces, only to have the last one in line throw it all away so that the system would start producing again and throwing it away in the end. There is no need for such work. The main question is what do we live for? Until you answer it, sit at home and contemplate.”

Look how nature, lovingly and with care, like a mother or a father, as a loving parent wants the child to think about life and to learn. If you are sitting now and only worrying about what you will eat tomorrow, let us think more globally. After all, you are not the only one who is sitting there not knowing what to do, and realizing that this is exactly what humanity needs.

Therefore, I am not afraid of this virus. We have hope. If we come with an answer as to what we live for, we will continue our existence. And if we are unable to find the answer to this question, then there is no need to continue. After all, I should continue my evolution like the human being I am. Thinking about the meaning of life is a special quality of humans. And if I live without such a question, just for the sake of existence, then my questions are on an animal level.

Why Speed Up Time If Life Flies By In An Instant?

laitman_600.02Question: You say that there are 200 years left until the full correction. What is 200 years in terms of eternity? I have lived for more than 50 years, my life has passed like a moment. What is 200? Is it four times more? It’s just nothing. Thus, why speed up time?

Answer: We don’t accelerate time but rather accelerate our development, the achievement of our perfect state.

Do you want to stretch your unhappy life further? What is the point of it if not the comprehension of an eternal, perfect state where you are completely connected with all the elements of creation and the Creator? After all, there is nothing else.

Perfection is the goal of our development. While accelerating this movement you change the principle of development from blows and tribulations to good development—your own aspiration for a state of perfection. That’s all.

Actually, you can leave Kabbalah and do nothing. And after 200 years, they will drive you with a stick to happiness, toward this state, and everything will be all right. In any case, we will achieve full correction and fulfillment.

Layered Revelation Of Points In The Heart

Laitman_198Question: Are there any statistics on points in the heart per capita today? For example, in Sochi there are 300,000 people. How many more people do we still have to discover there with a point in the heart?

Answer: You just answered your own question: 300,000. Only this won’t happen immediately but gradually and in layers. First, individuals more sensitive to the sense of the meaning of life or its absence will open up, then less sensitive ones, etc., until the most insensitive will say “What is the meaning of life? We want to reveal it.”

They will say so because they will feel a sense of eternity without fulfillment. Indeed, on one hand, the feeling of eternity, and on the other hand, the lack of fulfillment that causes a terrible longing in a person.

How Does The Reshimo Affect The Point In The Heart?

laitman_961.2Question: How does our Reshimo (a spiritual informational record) influence the awakening of the point in the heart and the speed of its development?

Answer: The fact is that the awakening of the point in the heart is felt in a person as aiming toward the question of the meaning of life. Either it is gradually awakened by suffering or a person finds the environment and, by joining a group, begins to advance faster.

A person develops a suitable soil around one’s spiritual embryo and then one advances faster, reveals the questions of his development, and finds answers to those questions.

This is actually the development of a constantly renewed Reshimo.
