Answer: The chief producer is, in fact, nature, which controls us.

By studying nature, especially cybernetics, bio-cybernetics, global systems, and the Earth’s geosphere, we see that everything is interconnected and is in some kind of development plan.

Moreover, this master plan is divided into sub-parts, which, in turn, are coordinated with each other. Nothing happens in vain, everything is predetermined.

Even if we do not know this plan, it still exists. Exactly the way before, we could not predict the weather in advance for a week or a month, but today we can. It is the same way with our study, practically we do not make any corrections to anything, we just reveal this program exists in the world.

Life is not a random set of events. We see this from all our research. Therefore, the question arises: “If so, then I, as the crown of nature, certainly have some purpose. Nature did not create me in vain. If there is great wisdom, causal development, and so on in every small particle, in every atom and molecule, then what is my causal development? What is this result that I have to come to”?

Such questions, on one hand, lead us to a dead end. On the other hand, we need to figure them out; otherwise, there is no point in living. This is our generation where people begin to feel that it is necessary to reveal this plan because without chasing something and without any perspective life simply empties and deprives a person of the desire to live.

According to the design of creation, people constantly play some roles without realizing it. Man automatically follows what nature evokes in him.

This has been the case throughout history, and this paradigm is ending today. Today we have to enter a completely different stage of development and begin to move forward realizing, understanding, and engaging in this process. This is where the problem is.

By receiving such calls from nature, that is, emptiness, I myself must fill it with content, why am I doing this, in the name of what? I must reveal all the plans of nature, maybe agree with them, maybe not, but explore them and act accordingly.

Today nature requires me to consciously intervene, participate, and partner with it. And then it turns out that I do not know what to do. I have to deal with this somehow.

Kabbalah says that a person should develop his soul. What else do we exist for? We understand what an animal body is and what its life on this earth is. But the main thing for us is the development of the soul.

It is said that the soul is a part of the Creator, meaning, a part of a certain absolute in a person. The Creator is the quality of bestowal and love.

It would seem, on the contrary, that if the soul is a part of the Creator in us, then, as a part of Him, it should not be subject to correction. But first of all, it is necessary to create it in ourselves, to want it to be formed, and to wish to be a part of the Creator so that this quality is born in us.

When Kabbalah says, “a person is a part of the Creator,” it speaks from the Creator’s side. And it takes a huge effort on the part of a person to make this happen to himself.

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “What can one get out of Kabbalah?“

At the end of our childhood, our eyes gradually start opening up and we find ourselves in a particular world. We can live in this world without giving it much consideration, simply living “like everybody else” and taking after their example. However, some of us feel a deeper need that makes us feel uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the idea of simply going through life’s motions.

What we want out of our lives depends on the desires that awaken in us. We all have a desire to explore our surrounding reality. When we are children, we explore our rooms, and the more we grow up, the wider the canvas of our exploration: from our rooms to our yards, then our neighborhoods, our cities, countries, the planet and we then look out into space, trying to figure our what is going on in our universe. After extensively exploring our surroundings over the course of our development, we end up at the conclusion that we find no lasting fulfillment from such endeavors.

Today, even our interest in space exploration has waned. We relate to it mostly in a mercantile manner, for instance, in order to operate mobile devices via satellites or for espionage. We find exploration of distant galaxies much less interesting than we used to. This is because our desires have changed. Our desires no longer aspire to explore cosmic distances, but on the contrary, at a certain point of our development, our desires start turning inwardly, directing us at seeking the source of our very thoughts, desires and qualities.

In other words, our questions gradually shift from how we can best survive and be comfortable in our world, to why are we here. The question “Why?” awakens the more we develop beyond a certain threshold. It is a question about our life’s meaning and purpose. We start asking about the causal factors in our existence, about where we are from and where we are headed.

Our increasing difficulty to fulfill ourselves from one year to the next is not because we have less desires, but on the contrary, our desires constantly grow and the systems we previously created in order to fulfill ourselves no longer succeed in doing so. The more we develop, and the more dissatisfied we become, then the more we try new and different things to fulfill ourselves. Take, for instance, the transition taking place in the attitude to drug use. Today, there are moves throughout the world to legitimize and legalize the use of various drugs that, until recently, their possession and sale constituted punishable criminal offenses. It is all in order to give us a sense of calm and to forget about our growing disillusionment with the world.

In our times, whether or not we verbalize the question or not, we start demanding answers to the meaning of our lives, and not just answers as to how we can live a comfortable existence in our animal bodies.

We feel less and less meaning in fulfilling ourselves in the materialistic manner in which we have developed over the generations. On one hand, we find ourselves needing cars, living spaces and thousands of material goods in order to live comfortably. But on the other hand, we do so in order to simply feel comfortable, and the material items themselves hold no meaning. Rather, we feel a more inner need for something else, which we cannot pinpoint in our world, but which gives us a growing sense of dissatisfaction with our material existence.

This is the question about the meaning of life. It is a question that no science, technology, or even philosophy and psychology can fulfill, as it seeks far deeper, to the very causal root from which everything extends.

In short, our increasing loss of interest in our materialistic existence points to the emergence of a new level of development that is awakening within us, and it assumes the form of existential questions that we will increasingly feel that we need true answers to.

Kabbalah was made in order to answer precisely these questions. Using the wisdom of Kabbalah, we learn how to fulfill our innermost questions about the meaning and purpose of life. By applying the time-tested method of Kabbalah, we gain access to the causal level of our existence while alive in this world, and by doing so, we attain an eternal and whole sensation of reality, which completely fulfills us. In other words, the wisdom of Kabbalah was made for answering the question about the meaning and purpose of life in a practical and methodical manner.

Question: Are there cycles of souls?

Answer: Yes, they exist; you just need to understand what they are.

There has been claims by scientists that they discovered where the human soul is and how much it weighs. There are some enthusiasts who are always looking for something like that. I too would like people to eventually find their soul but not in this way, not by weighing or some kind of medical examination.

What is reincarnation? What is it for? Who is it reincarnating? What is transmitted from life to life through death? What dies, what remains, what just flows above our existences? If we define this, then we will not be confused.

Reincarnation in Kabbalah is understood as the reincarnation of souls, while humanity perceives it as something that passes from our life to the next life, that is, a person dies now and then is born again and again.

It is correct that he is born again. But is it the same person? What remains of his past life? What passes on through the stage of death, which we do not observe in our world, into a new existence, which we again observe in our life? This needs to be determined.

There is a special collection of information, what is called Reshimo, from the word “Roshem” (record), that really passes from life to life. Therefore, in each generation we develop and become more egoistic, smart, and dexterous. This is our development, unlike animals.

Animals develop much more slowly and people develop constantly, literally throughout their lives. An animal reaches the peak of its development in a few weeks after birth, at maximum several months. And after that, it just lives developing only physically, in an animal way.

A person also develops in an animal way, that is, he grows in mass, and at the same time grows in intellect, in mind, in accumulating information, in mastering communication with this world. Therefore, compared to animals, we have a huge amount of additional information that passes from generation to generation.

We see how the next generation is born with some skills that we do not have because it takes its information data from the previous generation, from the previous reincarnation and transfers it to the next one.

Since a person breaks off with the past and reincarnates into the next level of life, even the same earthly egoistic level without any spiritual appendage, he already behaves differently, treats the world differently, and perceives this world in a completely different way.

Look at how our children, and even more so grandchildren, perceive computers, mobile phones, all these novelties. It is absolutely natural for them! They are already born with this information. But this is not the soul.

This is where we do not differ much from a regular person who does not purposefully engage in Kabbalah, the development of the soul. He just does not have it. He has the so-called informational genes that accompany him throughout his life, develop, and pass from life to life.

His vital force again excites the body, he is born in a new shell, and in it he continues to further develop his informational data (mind and feelings that we define as egoism) until in one of the material reincarnations his egoism develops to the point where he starts asking: “What am I living for?”

That is, he is already asking not only within the framework of this world: “Why do I exist? How can I live better?”, but a higher: “What am I living for?” He seems to want to get up and look at the whole metamorphosis that is happening to him from top to bottom, as if from the outside.

Then the need for the development of the soul arises. Such a person comes to the science of Kabbalah; he has nowhere else to develop his soul. He begins to develop it from that initial informational gene that asks about the meaning of life, no longer the meaning of existence within this life but above it in order to actually comprehend its meaning.

A person no longer stops at any soothing meditative methods, but wants to directly, sensibly reveal the upper world in himself.

Comment: A problem of this century is the loss of meaning in professional activity whereby employees are disappointed in their work and do not see the point in it. This condition can affect people who are quite wealthy, well-educated, or in leadership positions. But since they are still perceived as successful by others, it is difficult for them to share this and refuse this work. They continue to work like this and burn out.

They don’t see the point in their work. There is a job, there is work, there is money, but I don’t see the point.

My Response: It is natural. This is the growth of mankind, the gradual development.

The egoism of man is not filled. This is the same selfishness that is our basis. At one time he was filled. He enjoyed work, honor, fame, knowledge, money, and the opportunity to somehow implement all this. But today he is not filled.

He is indifferent to the opinions of others; he is indifferent to climbing some stairs, and even to big money. There is, one might say, some kind of fatigue, like with any metal or material. So it is here. There is even a term for it: burnout.

Question: At what point does this happen? I lived normally, I worked normally, I was on fire at work, and suddenly empty and for nothing.

Answer: Egoism switched to the next mode of operation. It is not enough for people that everything is given to them. What was before that caused satisfaction and fulfillment, vanity was filled, etc., but not now. I don’t know what to do, how to live, or what to work for. I do not know! It is completely uninteresting to me.

Something more is needed. What is that “more”? They cannot tell. There is just no satisfaction; there is filling, but no satiation. What to work for? What to live for? No. Everything. Give me a pill and that’s it. People will get there! Why not?

This is deliverance from suffering: “I would like to forget and sleep.”

Question: What should a person do in such a situation? You keep saying that there will be such a universal cry.

Answer: Yes, but this is a cry, the realization of a real desire to understand the meaning of life. So why do I need all this? To such an extent that even children, which are the most important thing for a person, and especially for a woman, will not be happy.

And everything is there, absolutely everything is there, but I cannot even do my work mechanically, something for their sake. Nothing! This is the real despair from the lack of fulfillment of the egoistic Kli.

Question: When will deliverance come?

Answer: Deliverance will come from this state, when there will be a huge howl to all of heaven, and after that humanity will begin to understand why it really exists, not earlier.

Only when there is a real need to understand the meaning of life. Then we will live!

Question: In Kabbalah do the words “birth” and “death” differ from our usual concepts? As far as I know, Kabbalists do not celebrate their birthday.

Answer: And not the day of death either. However, there is an example of such a celebration in history. On Lag B’Omer we celebrate the day of departure of Rabbi Shimon from this world, the man who wrote The Book of Zohar.

The fact is that Rabbi Shimon totally completed his work. He worked his life hundred percent, and passed on he source of life to people, the method of correction. As soon as he finished this, he immediately retired from material life. What else could he do in this world? He fulfilled his mission.

In this world, we exist as many times, as many lives, as necessary for us to be realized. And then we do not have to come back. This world is the worst state of all that exist in nature.

Comment: But we think it is something wonderful and beautiful.

My Response: We have nothing else. We are just scared to get away from it.

Where are we going? What is happening to us? We do not know. In fact, a person who has not reached at least the first ten Sefirot of his soul’s development simply dies, i.e., his animal body dies, and he reappears again in an animal shell. He does not feel himself in other dimensions.

To enter the spiritual world, one must enter it while living in this world, and then the animal body living or dying in no way affects your spiritual state. Therefore, it is said: “See your world in this life.”

Question: You say that a Kabbalist exists above the level of death, while an ordinary person exists below this level. What does it mean?

Answer: A Kabbalist is not afraid of death and an ordinary person constantly lives in this fear, tries to forget himself, and flirts with himself through various actions just not to think that his life is drawing to a close. Fear, an incomprehensible feature of disappearance, termination of life, “Why then do I exist, why do I do all this?”

And although these questions are very relevant for us, they remain unresolved, out of our lives. We simply remove them from ourselves, engage in secondary and tertiary activities, and leave the most important thing aside as if it does not exist.

But if we set these questions as most important for us, then everything else simply would not make sense until we solve them. “Why do I give birth to children? Why do I exist? I chase after all sorts of petty fillings in life, for what?!”

And the Kabbalist reveals all this and therefore exists in absolutely clear, real movement. For him, everything is in its place. He does not engage in half hints, does not hide from birth and death, the cessation of this life.

He understands the importance of each of his states. He behaves rationally in this life because he treats every phenomenon in its present perspective, in its present dimension, in its present importance—in accordance with life, movement, death, reincarnation, the achievement of some final goal, which, perhaps, will be in a few lifetimes. He sees this whole perspective.

And so for him this little life is also part of many. He understands where his every movement, his every action is. That is, he does not act in our world like an ordinary man that he lived today and tomorrow—”What will be, will be, what can I do?”—without understanding the next moment, not imagining whether it will happen at all or not.

Question: Can we say that today nature kind of gives us the opportunity to have more spare time only for us to develop spiritually?

Answer: Only for this purpose. After all, why does a person exist in this world? Only in order to provide himself with what is necessary on the animal level and become equal to the Creator on the spiritual level, while acquiring the absolute.

Why should we live at all? To help your body process tons of food and die? In this case a cow has more reason to exist than I do because it provides me with milk and meat. There is a clear purpose in its existence: to feed me.

What do I live for? My existence is absolutely pointless. Any creature in nature, except for man, has a definite purpose. Nothing is created in vain. And only man, who does not know this upper goal, is created in vain.

Comment: But Kabbalists claim that we will come to it anyway.

My Response: Of course! And it is better for us to do it as soon as possible; otherwise, nature will push us with blows.

Over thousands of years of existence, we have internally, egoistically reached such a level of development where we find ourselves in a single chain, globally interconnected. And this is already a spiritual system.

Global communication exists at the next level of nature. And this is a problem because being globally connected egoistically is a huge peril. Everyone affects everyone negatively.

Imagine what a historical state we are entering now; every year we will observe huge negative changes in society and at all levels of nature. Tsunamis, earthquakes, and epidemics are all a consequence of our disequilibrium. This is how we ourselves set up nature.

Therefore as soon as the global level manifested itself, Kabbalah was immediately revealed as a method for its balance. And if we do not use it and do not balance ourselves in a single system, then we will mutually “poison” each other, push and alienate ourselves from others. Then this system will collapse very quickly, and we will come, God forbid, to a world war.

The method of Kabbalah is our only salvation.

Question: Should a person listen to his environment when he has a question about the meaning of life and is told: “Why do you need this? Why are you thinking about it?”

Answer: People do not understand that a person who asks a question about the meaning of life is at a higher level of development and that greater voids are revealed in him than in them. They can somehow fill their little voids with restaurants, jobs, awards, and medals. But this person cannot.

Today, the question about the meaning of life arises latently among billions, but many do not understand what is happening to them. They pass it off as some small problem, ill health, dissatisfaction at work or at home. People do not understand that this is a deeper issue that is connected with eternity. That is the whole problem.

Question: So, does the disclosure of this question within a person show that he is at a higher level of development, and therefore others cannot understand him?

Answer: Of course. With this question, we rise from the level of animals that live without thinking according to the orders of nature that automatically arise in them and that they fulfill. We begin to think, “What for?” This is already a question about eternity, the level of the Creator. Here we must reach His degree because we can no longer remain animals.

At this level, I begin not only to function correctly in the world around me, but I am obliged to study why I exist. I must understand who is launching me and why He is doing it. I want to be like Him. I want to understand the meaning of everything that happens to me. Only then will I be able to do something, otherwise I will not have the strength.

That is, I must reveal the Creator. The Creator is the next degree that controls us, the general force of nature.
