There Is Nothing But a Thought

231.01Question: Where did the concept of “thought” come from?

Answer: This is a consequence of the fact that we are people who have a spark of light in them. An animal does not think about whether it exists or not. It just exists and that is it.

There are people who also exist because they exist, and that is it. They are still at this level. In principle, a person becomes a person when he begins to understand that he must attain the meaning of life. It means to attain the only thought that exists in nature.

And there is nothing else. This is just a representation, a presentation of this thought regarding us as well as its parts, when we cannot grasp, realize, and feel this thought and somehow work with it.

Therefore, we can only capture it in the form of our world, volumes, and objects until we begin to rise from the material world by constant Kabbalistic attainment into such spheres where we can already feel the thought itself and work with it. There is nothing but a thought.

On the Correct Path

760.4Question: How can I understand that I am on the correct path?

Answer: When you are satisfied that you know how to act, what to do, can see the path ahead of you, can follow it, and move toward the right goal for yourself, then you are on the correct path.

Question: How does the inner feeling arise that I am going the right way?

Answer: This is the feeling of a person. There is nothing else here. Philosophers, scientists, and all sorts of clever people can convince you otherwise, but it does not mean anything. This is your inner conviction that you are living the right life.

Forced Relationship

546.03Question: Why is it arranged so that a person has to work to earn his living?

Answer: This was done on purpose so that we could be connected with each other and serve each other. It is said: “Go and make a living from each other.”

Everything is arranged for a forced connection between us: me to you and you to me. I give you shoes, you give me clothes. This one gives bread to me, that one wine, and I give them this and that. This is called “communication by necessity.”

We see how, as egoism grows; we are constantly developing more things to be interconnected. This is a subconscious correction of the world. Everything goes as it goes.

For us, Kabbalists, the main thing is to present people with the knowledge of why all this is spinning and what it leads to. We show them how egoism develops over the course of history and gradually leads us to devastation.

Being a gravedigger to itself, egoism shows us how unable it is to fill us or to give us a sense of the meaning of life, something eternal, perfect. But, in fact, this is exactly what we want.

We subconsciously forget ourselves in life so as not to think about the end, because it is terrible since you part with everything that you did. And you did everything just to maintain your animal body. What for? What is the point? At least an animal doesn’t ask about it.

What are you living for? For children? What are they for? Why do you give birth to them so that they suffer? You give birth for your egoism, it is nice for you. And they are the same.

It turns out that our life without an answer about its higher meaning is not only meaningless, but simply insignificant, worse than that of animals, because at least they do not ask this question. And we, in order not to ask them, fill ourselves with all sorts of toys.

The Golden Gate Leading to Optimism

202.0Question: There is a famous bridge in San Francisco where people often committed suicide. Every week a man came there and looked down. One day a driver came up to him and said: “I see you here often. Come to your senses. Life is beautiful.” The man smiled and answered him: “I am the most life-loving person in the world. I just develop this feeling even more when I look down from the bridge and realize that life can end.”

If we have this understanding that life can end in an instant, in a fraction of a second, does it increase our optimism? What do you think?

Answer: I do not know. It depends if this affects a person. I have been to this place and have passed over this bridge more than once. It is a crazy height. The water below has a temperature of seven to nine degrees. This is the Golden Gate Bridge.

Also, there are sharks down there. So, if you are not lucky enough to freeze in a few seconds or minutes, then they will eat you.

Comment: With suicides, everything is clear. But I would like to know about optimism. The fact that in a moment he may die increases the optimism of this man. He says: “But I am alive, and life is beautiful.”

My Response: But you can think the same thing when crossing the street. You do not have to go to San Francisco to do this!

Question: But still many people jump from the bridge and commit suicide, and he just looks. How can we increase optimism? Do you have any advice for people? Especially today it would be good.

Answer: Optimism will be increased only in a good environment where there are friends and comrades. When we can support each other and understand how to practically approach the revelation of real optimism, then, of course, it is possible.

Comment: You are saying that our life should consist of creating such a circle, and then nothing is scary.

My Response: Then nothing is scary. We will exist in it.

Question: What are my obligations in this circle?

Answer: Mutual support, care, and love. That is it.

Question: Does it mean that I grow this circle? I do not just enter it to receive.

Answer: Of course.

Question: Should everyone have this attitude?

Answer: It is contagious, we can infect each other with it. If you enter such a circle, then you gradually become infected with their attitude. I think it is possible.

Question: What about the usual thoughts of a person that I give them everything, I transmit love, but there is nothing in it for me. What should we do with such thoughts? They occur very often.

Answer: Also to get to a circle that would destroy them in you. Thoughts about yourself should eventually disappear.

Question: Is this the main result?

Answer: Yes, so that you think about others, not about yourself.

Question: Is it possible to dissolve like this and think only about others?

Answer: Of course, it depends on the environment.

Comment: Usually, you give an example of a mother who lives like this, if we are talking about our corporeal world.

My Response: Well, this is a mother, and we are talking about an ordinary person.

Question: Is it possible to think about them all the time, to exist for them?

Answer: Yes. We should receive such an example and such an attitude from the environment.

Question: Then can we work with optimism?

Answer: Then you can enjoy life.

Question: I see. You said that this is how you come closer to upper optimism. What is the upper optimism?

Answer: The upper optimism is when you feel that this is the absolute law of the world and that this is the meaning of existence: to rise to its level and exist in it.

Question: When you say optimism, what is it?

Answer: Optimism is when everything is great, has its own meaning, and revolves exactly according to this law—love your neighbor as yourself.

When There Is No Answer to the Question About the Meaning of Life

79.01Question: Modern life is built solely on receiving an education, getting a good job, starting a family, and other similar steps. What is the ideal path of development of a person to change the corporeal orientation to a spiritual one?

Answer: If a person does not have the opportunity to become eternal, that is, to overcome the bar of death, then this life either does not initially make sense, or we need to make it the way we are constantly trying to do, to forget ourselves in this life.

We forget ourselves in it and lead an ordinary life; we show an example of how a person reaches some heights, how he does not pay attention to death, how he accepts his old age and death in a natural way, and so on.

So, we do everything just to accept our life as something normal, proper, natural, and accepted by everyone, and that is why we do that. In no case do we ask the question of the meaning of life, we do not show the end of a person with the question “What is all this for?” We keep this to ourselves always because we do not have an answer to this question.

But gradually we begin to go deeper into nature, and this is what the first Kabbalists did, who immediately asked the question “What is happening in nature?” because they have not yet been clogged with modern technologies and current diseases.

Eternal, perfect, infinite nature does not create anything in vain. Every cell and every organ is in cause-and-effect development and in addition to others. We see clear laws in it.

But where is all this nature? After it created so many things, what does it do with its result, with her most complex object—the human? Nothing! We see that everything connects, constantly rushes forward, and then an edge disappears. What is going on behind this invisible barrier? Where does everything disappear to?

Kabbalah begins to reveal the next dimension to us. Nothing disappears. The animalistic part dies the same way plants and animals die. We, however, as the crown of all development, go further. We must, from what we have been given create above our animalistic part the next part, which is called Man.

Illogical Existence

527.12Question: What is logic?

Answer: Logic is a clear sense of the cause and effect connection between phenomena.

Question: But the spiritual seemingly does not conform to logic?

Answer: It is the spiritual that is built according to the most rigid, clear logic. Our world, on the contrary, is absolutely illogical. You just got used to it and are inside of it. It is a small world, a small mind, and so it seems to you that everything is logical here, like a small child for whom everything, so to speak, is logical: this is a toy, this is a car, etc. Everything is in place.

But if you dig a little deeper, nothing is clear, nothing can be understood. There is no logic either in us, in our life, in our communication, in our actions—in anything.

The biggest lack of logic is the fact that we exist. What is the point of living if it all ends, if all the little pleasures are so much less than the efforts to achieve them? Where is the logic if I spend 99% of my efforts and nerves striving to get 1% of something?

In general, where is the logic in a person’s life, in his actions? What is he clinging to? To his protein existence? What does he do in life? He creates a family, gives birth to children. For what? Only to their detriment. What do they have from this life except suffering?

We put an absolutely illogical existence on a pedestal as something special. Life! We praise it, we sing about it! But if this life is devoid of the great meaning of connection with infinity, then it has no meaning. Fools are all who live just like that!

But in the spiritual world, precisely in connection with the penetration into infinity, there is logic, there is a sense of the continuity of existence, a connection with the truth—the force of the world that holds this world and the upper world and leads us to a state above time, movement, and place, which means it is higher than our small, closed, limited world. Even during your earthly life, this force reveals a completely different universe to you.

Life Should Be Much Simpler

79.01Question: Nastya writes: “One day the lights went off and I called a neighbor who had two children and invited her to visit me. We were sitting and talking at the table with candles burning with the children were nearby. As soon as the lights came back on, the children ran and turned on the TV, and we became silent.

What do you think about this feeling of happiness that was there and then was suddenly gone?“

Answer: Yes, it is gone because it presses. But it has always been so. Recall past times, even centuries ago.

Question: How can we feel such happiness now? Is it possible in the light, with modern technology, progress, and all this or not?

Answer: No. With present life, the way of life, its pace, and everything else that exists, we cannot make ourselves happy. We give in to what we have created, and it is killing us.

Question: I would say that we are bought. Do you think it is not necessary to create or still move toward the goal, toward what I want to be?

Answer: To move toward the goal, you just need to live in a much simpler way, not to wait until nature, society, or the Creator crush us, but do it, perhaps reasonably and gradually, somehow by yourself.

Question: Do you have an idea of how a person should do it?

Answer: It will not work to turn off the lights. It will not work to diminish anything. There are too many interested egoists who will still produce all sorts of rubbish and make all sorts of dull productions on screens—anything possible. All this needs a very strong push and revelation of evil in order to correct it.

How can we uncover this evil? By a serious war?

Question: In whom will it reveal itself, in consumers or in those who push everything into a consumer?

Answer: It is required from both sides. Both from producers and consumers.

Question: So that it is suddenly revealed that this is all evil?

Answer: That this is the end! You cannot go any further; that is it! There must be an uprising. Let us make the world simpler, more understandable, more comfortable, and most importantly, calmer. In such a world we will be able to clarify in ourselves what we are for, why, and what we should come to.

Question: And the last question, what will we understand in this case, as you said? What will we understand then?

Answer: We will understand that the main thing is what a person desires in this world. So that he clarifies it, but very seriously, not halfway. And then he will achieve this goal.

Question: So do you put it this way: “I need to get rid of all this ‘noise’ and very, very quietly focus on what I want.”?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is that all? And what will he understand? What he wants?

Answer: He will understand the meaning of life—the most important thing that he has.

Question: What is it in?

Answer: The meaning of life is in attaining the meaning of life.

Question: It is like a wheel: the meaning of life is attaining the meaning of life. Is there some kind of eternity in this, in what you are saying?

Answer: Of course. It is absoluteness, eternity, perfection, and infinity.

How to Solve the Equation with Life and Death

627.1Question: There is a psychological attitude called “postponed or delayed life syndrome.” This is when a person perceives his life as a draft or a rehearsal before something big and meaningful, which will come later in the future, as if people are going to live forever.

There is an example of a senator who wakes up and suddenly prestige and political success no longer are important to him, despite the fact that he is a politician. He really wants to enjoy life: have breakfast with a friend, be in the company of his wife, and read a book or a magazine.

What happened? He was diagnosed with cancer. Is this really the only thing that can prompt a person to suddenly wake up and start living?

Answer: Of course! Undoubtedly! When he is certainly promised a close end, everything else just disappears from the horizon and loses its importance. Everything.

Question: Does everything that was the most important thing in life suddenly become vanity? Is this the kind of fear we should experience?

Answer: Of course! Precisely! It is like Woland said in The Master and Margarita. One cannot escape that.

Comment: Actually, this does not really say why the mind is given to us, to Homo sapiens (wise men).

My Response: It is only so that we realize that this is how we live. As soon as the end is clearly known to us, then everything other than the end can no longer interest us.

Question: Do we suddenly start looking for real values when we know the end is here?

Answer: But what can we find if the end is here?

Comment: This senator found some simple truth.

My Response: Go for a drink, have a meal with friends and with a woman, and so on. All this also happens after the reassessment of these events and values. Therefore everything loses its taste. There is nothing left here but to live every second that you have so that you feel less pain. That is all.

Question: And more enjoyment?

Answer: He just needs drugs and that is it. Switch off calmly, my friend.

Question: Then what do you call a true moment that was lived correctly, with dignity?

Answer: I am not in favor of living for just one moment at all. That is not my philosophy.

My philosophy is that life should consist of such moments constantly, from moment to moment, again and again. Then it will be possible to think that this cancer, or some other fatal disease, or the end in general, which everyone has by the way, are not important. And then a person will clearly understand what is given to him, why, for what, how he should live it, what to leave, and what to do with himself.

Question: What should we invest in these moments? Let’s say I agree with you: live every moment and prepare for the next moment.

Answer: Elevate yourself above your animalistic nature and as quickly and brightly as possible,  more effectively achieve the quality of bestowal and love, which does not relate to our world. And thus, as they say, prepare yourself for the future world. That is all. It will be a very effective use of this world, this life, for the sake of the future world and the future life.

Question: Do you think that when a person is given such a limit, called an “incurable disease” or something, it is done precisely for this?

Answer: Yes, for this! It is necessary to prepare people who will serve these so-called unfortunate. I do not consider them unfortunate. I believe that they have been given a great opportunity to correct themselves, change themselves, and raise themselves to the level of the next world.

Question: To the level of this love?

Answer: Yes. May they enter it with no problems.

Question: Does it turn out that those who remain in this world that burn it with the pleasures of this world are the unfortunate ones?

Answer: Yes. The others can already rise to this in advance! Suddenly they see there is no disease. Then the question is: Why did I do all this? 🙂 Someone deceived me so meanly.

Question: Yes. The doctors will say, “My dear, everything is fine with you.” Is this such a trick that the Creator does with a person? Are you really for such tricks?

Answer: I am in favor of deceiving a person so that he solves the correct equation with his life and death. And in order for him to change his life based on this decision.

Question: Does the word “deceived” not bother you?

Answer: No, of course not. This is an egoist! He should be deceived big time! We should trick egoism all our lives, the way it tricks us now. This is already a serious, borderline deception.

From a Feeling of Deep Dissatisfaction

567.04Question: Before you started studying Kabbalah, did you have a predisposition to it?

Answer: Yes, I did. I have felt absolutely dissatisfied all of my life. I was not satisfied with this reality in any way.

I had questions about why I was born and why I existed, although I had everything in abundance. I grew up in a decent, intelligent family. Any education, whatever one needs, I could have it all: any children’s clubs, books, no problem. Yet, I was interested only in finding answers.

Question: Usually young people live by certain interests. When they turn thirty, there is a turning point. Therefore, they very often come to Kabbalah after thirty. Did you also come to Rabash at this age?

Answer: I would have come earlier, of course! I think around 13 to 14 years old because my studies at school, at the university, and everywhere were just attempts to find something, otherwise I would not have had the strength to study.

I was lazy and jumped from one thing to the other. Nothing attracted me! I could not bring myself to do unnecessary things. It was very hard. Although, if something is important to me, then the concept of laziness disappears altogether. But this is like everyone else. The most important thing is the importance of what you do.

Comment: On the other hand, thanks to this, you have experienced certain facets of life.

My Response: Only based on a feeling of deep dissatisfaction.

A Screen that Does Not Allow You to See the Truth

423.01Question: When you realized that our world does not actually exist, how shocking was it for you?

Answer: In principle, I had a hunch about this. Many people have a hunch about this.

It is not necessary to reveal this in your qualities, because everything is so logical that I somehow pulled myself up to such a realization, without Kabbalah.

The fact is that I was created a little detached from our world. When I don’t feel matter, I feel good.

I’m telling you how it was. I was drawn to this feeling because I felt that all the spinning electrons or people are all unimportant, unreal, and not the main thing! Precisely, it is they who are the screen in front of the eyes that does not allow me to see the truth.

Since childhood, I had such a clear impression. Therefore, when I heard that Kabbalah thought this way, I dashed to it! I started to delve into the Kabbalistic books without understanding anything and hardly making any sense of a couple of words. I am glad that I found a friend who read these books aloud to me.
