Keep Yourself In Balance

751.1Question: A person does not see himself as a part of nature. This perception is hidden from him. He does not understand that he is one with the biosphere and that by perfecting his physical form he is perfecting the biosphere. Therefore, people have no motivation to do physical exercise and they stop doing anything at all.

How can a person change his worldview to see that he is one with nature, a part of this natural creation that can keep improving itself? How can we give him such motivation?

Answer: The science of Kabbalah explains that we are a part of nature, its most developed, egoistic part. We want to subjugate nature and use it in the greatest egoistic desire. As a rule, this does not benefit us, especially in the long run, although sometimes we see that we supposedly derive immediate benefits from using nature egoistically.

The most important thing for us is to be in balance with nature. Everything that the body is supposed to get, try to give it quantitatively and qualitatively in the form it needs, at the same time understanding that the same harm will come if we did not give it enough. That is, excess is the same poison as lack of nutrients. We must learn to keep ourselves in balance.

Question: Regrettably, there are no norms in medicine defining how much a person should move, how much and what to eat. There is complete freedom: if you want, move; if you want, do not move; if you want, eat; if you want, do not eat. What do you think?

Would it be good to have a canonical norm from nature that people could guide themselves by?

Answer: There really is no such norm. But Kabbalah says that if a person thinks about his spiritual and physical development in such a way that they complement each other, he will find this golden mean.

Question: That is, we have a certain navigator inside that is dormant for the time being?

Answer: Yes. If we treat it soberly, treat it normally, we will begin to feel it.

Feel The Inner Pulse Of Nature

707The Nature of Man: Studies in Optimistic Philosophy, Elie Metchnikoff:

To modify the human constitution, it will be necessary first, to frame the ideal, and thereafter to set to work with all the resources of science.

If there can be formed an ideal able to unite men in a kind of religion of the future, this ideal must be founded on scientific principles. And if it be true, as has been asserted so often, that man can live by faith alone, the faith must be in the power of science.” “To change human nature, first of all, one must be aware of the ideal to strive for, and then use all the means provided by science for its implementation.

If we think of an ideal capable of uniting people in some kind of religion of the future, then it cannot be grounded otherwise than on scientific data. And if it is true, as is often said, that one cannot live without faith, then the latter cannot be other than faith in the omnipotence of knowledge.

My Response: Of course, we must strive for real faith, which is absolute knowledge, when a person changes himself so that he becomes closer to nature. Then a transformation takes place in him, and he begins to feel the inner pulse of nature, its movement and himself in it, as one harmonious general whole.

Question: If what he does brings him even a drop closer to nature, then is this the right direction, and if it moves him away, then the wrong one?

Answer: Yes. And also according to the motto “a sound spirit in a sound body” The healthier you become, the closer to nature you will be, because you are a part of it.

I Am Still Young

715Question: Soon you will be 75 years old. You are a very cheerful, positive, and pleasant person all the time. One can see that you have good internal energy. Do you have any tips on how to wake up being cheerful and in a good mood?

Answer: I cannot give advice because I have a special job. I wake up at half past one in the morning and starting from three in the morning I officially give lessons over the Internet to thousands of students around the world.

Question: Why does this happen at night?

Answer: So no one interferes and distracts people from classes. Plus, it’s not night everywhere. My students literally live on all continents and they all connect to us. Perhaps, it is convenient for some and not very convenient for others. But it has been established this way from generation to generation that Kabbalah is taught at night.

Question: When do you rest? Sleep is a physiological need and you have to do it.

Answer: After the lesson from six to seven in the morning I sleep for about an hour, sometimes maybe even an hour and a half. And then I go to bed between eight and nine pm. After many years I have adapted to such a schedule and I cannot do it any other way.

Comment: Your example shows that if someone engages in doing something and understands why he is doing it, he can adapt to any sleep pattern. And he does not lose health and remains in excellent physical and mental shape.

My Response: I am still young. I am only 75 years old.

Voluntary Sterilization Will Not Help

49.01In the News (The Guardian): Several Indian states are considering implementing a controversial two-child policy and incentivising sterilisation as a means of population control.

“The state of Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state with a population larger than Brazil, has announced draft legislation which would see anyone with more than two children denied state benefits, subsidies and government jobs. After a family has two children, there will also be incentives if one of the parents undergoes voluntary sterilisation.”

Question: Do you think such initiatives are correct?

Answer: We must not sterilize people like animals. People need to figure out themselves how to regulate the number of children they will have and why they do it.

Question: Are you suggesting a serious educational process?

Answer: Nothing will work without it, not laws or coercion, only creating a framework that a family would be proud of the fact that it brings up not a large number of children but rather special children.

Question: This revolution in thinking must take place by providing them with education?

Answer: Of course! And it will happen anyway. Otherwise, look at what kind of country it is! I was in India, I was in China, and I saw a big difference between people.

Question: Should it be carried out not by a bill on limiting the number of children, but by constant, structured education?

Answer: Yes.

Question: It is interesting that in Europe everything is the opposite, they have to subsidize families to have children. Yet, in countries like Africa and India, families must be subsidized to have fewer children. Why is this happening? What is this different way of thinking in people?

Answer: It is all based on religious beliefs and principles.

Question: Why does a highly educated person, let’s say, with three or four degrees, want fewer children?

Answer: He wants quality instead of quantity. He understands that the main thing is quality. He wants his descendants to be educated, to understand, know how, what, what they live for, create the right environment around them, and put their children on their feet in turn.

Question: And if people would voluntarily have many children and give them good education, is this a cultural feature? Do they do this consciously? Do you welcome this?

Answer: Of course.

Comment: Our people always had many children.

My Response: First of all, it was a small nation. Second, one did not replace the other. People were encouraged to have a large number of children, but every person, every child, at least every boy, had a teacher who educated him. The family has always been proud of the fact that its children, sons, as a rule, were educated. “Look how many pages he knows by heart!” And so on.

That is, it was like a highest ideal, a reward, approval. Everyone aspired for a child to become a sage.

They do not have that there.

Age Is Not A Hindrance

963.1Comment: In order to be happy, a person does not need to think a lot. One can take care of oneself and one’s health in a proper way, and that would already be enough. And then, he can go and explore other things.

My Response: Based on the science of Kabbalah, one can absolutely clearly understand that a person can come from internal to external balance, and vice versa by correct external interaction with others one can bring oneself to inner peace and balance.

Question: So, age is not a hindrance here?

Answer: Age is not a hindrance at all. Absolutely not! It all depends only on how a person perceives himself and the world around him. The soul is immortal, and therefore the body should not have control over us.

Two Sides Of Laziness

956Question: There is a physiological phenomenon in human nature of laziness, which underlies our egoism, to gain comfort through less effort.

People who follow this path accumulate wealth or some kind of knowledge that they do not use in real life. A person striving for comfort, as a result ceases to be physically active and begins to be lazy. The good, which one strives to, to do nothing and to have everything, becomes a harm for oneself. Nature immediately punishes one through the body.

What is your attitude toward physical activity at any age? Do you support this?

Answer: I was a jogger when I was a teenager. Now I support physical activity in all its forms, something that is convenient and close to each of us. At least long walks. They are a must.

The matter is that laziness is good when it warns us against some excesses in our work so we do not spoil something in the world. After all, many of our actions, mainly in nature, harm it. Therefore, laziness is a defensive reaction of our nature, which helps us not to harm the world too much.

Regarding ourselves, we do not need to get too carried away with sports and all sorts of Olympic affairs, but we should do everything only for the sake of health, refreshment, and long life.

The Point Of Absolute Health

715The most important thing for a person is to discover the sense of unity with the world because by doing so, we find absolute balance. If we clearly understand what kind of world we live in, what forces we must balance in us and around us, this, in principle, is the point of absolute health.

This is what the science of Kabbalah deals with. It states that we exist in a world where only two forces rule: the force of reception and the force of bestowal, which are split into many different sub-forces. If we want to come to balance, then our task is to balance these forces in such a way so that it is possible to receive, to bestow, and at the same time be in a state of absolute comfort.

Question: What is the simplest advice you would give to a person in life?

Answer: The very first and simplest advice are the well-known rules: “That which you hate, do not do to your friend” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

“Two Ways To Deal With Covid” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Two Ways to Deal with Covid

The State of Israel and the coronavirus have had a tumultuous relationship so far (not that it was very quiet in the rest of the world). We began on top of the world when we succeeded beyond anyone’s expectations with the first lockdown. After a few weeks, we thought we’d beat the virus so we all went out to celebrate, and the virus came roaring back. In a matter of weeks, we went from the zenith to the nadir as more people per million caught the virus in our little country than anywhere else, even more than in the United States at its worst moments.

Humiliated and reluctant, we went into another lockdown and the tsunami of contagion began to recede. As we came out, the virus struck again. Luckily, this time the vaccines came around and Israel rushed to get millions of them. It worked for a while and the number of new cases went down to nearly zero.

Then came the Delta strain and everything we thought we had achieved collapsed. Now we’re in the midst of administering the booster (third) shot hoping to curb the spread once more, but we are no longer confident and we are no longer hopeful that we will truly get rid of the virus. More than anything, Covid seems to have defeated our defiance. Many of us no longer believe that we will return to the pre-Covid days, and they are right.

Nature will not let up. From the very beginning, back in the days of the successful first lockdown, I said that this is not another virus but a new stage in our relationship with nature. You could say that we have exhausted our credit with nature, and now it demands that we will pay for what we take. If we don’t want to pay, fine, but nature will not give.

There are two ways we can learn to deal with nature: a long and painful one, or a short and pleasant one. Currently, we are treading down the long and painful one. On this route, we do not take into consideration where we are, the people who surround us, and the entire planet that sustains us. We are using and abusing all of them on our path and focus only on ourselves.

This road, the narcissistic one, sees only the needs of the self. This is why we cannot see the consequences of our actions so calamities surprise us when they happen. If we step into a busy street blindfolded, we are certain to run into other people, stumble on obstacles along our path, and even be hit by the traffic that we cannot see.

When we are looking only at our own needs, due to our egoism, we are blindfolding ourselves, denying ourselves awareness of all other things in existence. We should not be surprised that we bump into things.

When bad things happen to us, personally, socially, nationally, or globally, it is not because they are misfortunes or that bad people do them to us. They were there all along and we could have seen them, be more considerate, and avoid any friction or discomfort. Yet, we ignored them and kept walking straight. The pain we feel now is not because they hit us, but because we bumped into them. It is we who should say “sorry” and mind where we’re going, not the other way around.

This brings us to the short way. If we open our eyes to look around us, we’ll see that everything is connected and moves in synchrony with everything else. In nature, mutual consideration is a given. In us, it is nonexistent. But if we open our eyes to it, we will be able to begin to work on it, to build it among us.

By building mutual consideration, in accord with nature, we will synchronize ourselves with it. Then we will know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it so our lives will run smoothly on their paths.

Vaccines and lockdowns are necessary just as long as we cannot synchronize ourselves with nature. If we can become as considerate and harmonious as nature, we will not need any lockdowns, just as nature never goes on lockdown and never stops evolving.

The brakes nature presses on us are nature’s way to force us to stop and reroute into a more considerate path, where we see others, too, and not only ourselves. If we begin to change our mindsets toward mutual consideration rather than alienation and self-entitlement, we will be free to roam the planet, safe, healthy, and happy.

Can A Drug Addict Be Helped?

632.1Comment: This letter is a cry of the soul. “I am writing to you as the last resort. I am a long-term drug addict. Please help me get off!”

Answer: I do not have such a capacity to do something like this easily. The ability is only in you. You must get into an environment where this does not exist and cannot be. You must do things that will completely cut you off from this state. And then, after a fairly long time, you will be able to completely break away from this disorder.

Question: Psychology also says that it is necessary to find such an environment, sit down together, talk about it constantly, and so on. Practically, you are in favor of this materialistic psychology?

Answer: Yes, there is nothing else.

Question: Does the environment affect a person to such an extent?

Answer: Absolutely! If the environment can take him in, there is no escape for a person. Nowhere! Or he can then voluntarily enter this environment himself and expose himself to their influence.

Question: So, in general, he has only one way out?

Answer: Yes. Only to expose himself to the influence of the right environment.

Question: And what should a person do when he has such heavy withdrawal symptoms? Ups and downs, one way or another he will have them because he is already clearly trying to quit and not succeeding for a very long time.

Answer: There are things that I cannot imagine how humanity can fight against. Only if it were some kind of global or national program.

Question: But is it coming to this?

Answer: I hope so! It depends on the governments and they are not interested. It is better for them—let people smoke or do whatever and they will be doing their own stuff.

Question: Is the idea for people not to have social activities?

Answer: They do not need them. It is better to spend these billions on making people swallow drugs. Let them sniff, chew, no matter what they do.

Question: Now is the time of drugs, a person wants more and more to get away from this reality. Is this happening precisely in order to bring people to something?

Answer: To bring them to a state where they understand what kind of world they live in, to see, learn, and feel that this world needs them and they need it, that there is an opportunity here, like Pinocchio, to open the door and take a peek into another world, to get there behind this hearth.

A person must make sure that his nature is absolute harmful to himself and to others and decide voluntarily to change himself. And then everything will change.

Question: If this guy slowly comes to this idea with the help of the environment, then will he come out of this state?

Answer: Yes. Then he will come out. Otherwise he will not find anything. Of course, in my dreams I would like to create such societies, large groups, that would help each other, spend time together from morning to evening and from evening to morning.

In principle, humanity can do this very quickly. Can you imagine a huge number of people do not need any work? They only need to be trained and they, in turn, will teach others. We can go through this very quickly.

Question: With the help of these social circles? Even virtual ones?

Answer: Of course!

Question: And this is how humanity will move forward all the time—helping each other. And what are they moving toward? What would you direct all these circles to if this is your dream?

Answer: To the fact that they connect more and more with each other, and in the right connection between them, they begin to reveal the true meaning of existence, of nature.

They discover in nature a single inner force, connection, love, mutual integration, connection. Apart from that, there is nothing else. All of nature merges into one single force—mutual bestowal.

Hope Cures

291Doctors are certain that hope prolongs life. Therefore, they advise patients to be optimistic and hope for the best. Hope awakens such psychological mechanisms in a person that help the body recover and appreciate life. Hope starts in the head, then turns into a feeling, and strengthens all protective systems in the body.

So how can we develop such hope in a person? First of all, by external influence: films, conversations, and books that can encourage a person, support his hopes for the future, and give him life force.

In order to overcome despair, a person should try to rise to the level above it, to the next degree, and check from there where despair came from and why. It can be that it will lead a person to positive changes. Overcoming despair does not mean destroying it. Perhaps, on the contrary, all human development is due to disappointments when we despair of what we have and want things to get better.

You need to see despair as a means to advance. But this requires a good environment and support from friends. Friends must throw a rope to a drowning person and pull him out of a stormy sea.

Hope is an illumination from the future that attracts a person and pulls him out of the evil stream of life like a lifeline thrown to a drowning person in a river.

Hope is transmitted from one to the other like a virus. We need a national or even a global program that brings great hope to people, and we will thus move toward a good future.

First of all, a person must understand that everything that happens is good and that there is nothing bad in the world. All the evil we see is caused by the lack of good connection between us. It turns out that we only need to understand how to connect with each other with good connections in order to make our life good.

A person should be educated regarding this in the way a child is brought up in everything else. Initially, a child has only one innate instinct: to grab everything and put it in his mouth. But education makes a person out of him. Education should be such that it raises a person to a new level. A person should despair every moment, but still grasp the next moment and put all his hopes into it.
