In order for man to feel that “six hundred thousand loyal lovers, are standing ready to provide for him,” he must be theoretically ready to provide for them in the same manner.

One cannot exist without the other. In mutual guarantee we use the force of the Creator, the force of the Light. This force manifests according to our connection in mutual bestowal.

When I am not prepared to give to you and you are not prepared to give to me, there is a gap between us. A connection forms when both of us are ready for this and we are able to give to one another, because there is a third participant, the Light, the Creator.

It is He who establishes a connection between us regardless of our opposite properties and gives everyone the things they lack. The Light provides for us and this is why we can connect and mutually supplement each other—with Light!

But if I am waiting for the “six hundred thousand loyal lovers” to come to me, then I will never see them. It is written that everyone is asked at the same time because the mutual guarantee comes from the connection of everyone, also with the Creator. He is the guarantor of our entire connection.

When we go out to the public we encounter different problems. People can be against us, behave rudely, and resent our actions, and even try to use physical force against us.

We have to prevent all this in advance and to set an example of unity. The force of unity and togetherness has to stem from us.

We have one desire: to unite and to connect with everyone. So if we encounter extreme reactions or different problems when we come out to the public, we still have to avoid them. We cannot be involved in any incidents, since no matter whether you win or lose, it is undesirable when people attribute acts of violence to you.

Even if you are 100% right, you shouldn’t show your power, since unity by such forceful actions sullies us no matter what. It isn’t worth it! When you pass by someone who smells bad, the smell also sticks to you.

So we should under no circumstances act rudely or get involved in any confrontations. We have to try to have people on our side, as it says: “The words of the wise are heard calmly.” Only then will people begin to listen to what you say.

But if it involves rude actions, even if you are forced to be involved in them (and you will be given such situations on purpose), try to avoid them, and to step away from them. Don’t think that you seem weak by that. On the contrary, you are showing how tasteless and pointless these actions are.

Effective actions are actions that provide me with the right formation of the field in which the Creator can dwell, and this field is good and friendly; it is love and inner guidance. This, of course, doesn’t mean that we have to agree with all those who confront us on purpose and who are against us. But we don’t have to reach such a level of resistance when we confront them in order to use their tricks and to be like them.

So every action has to be examined from the perspective of how helpful it is to our unity and connection. We have to place ourselves exactly on the opposite side of the actions that are meant to provoke us.

I hope that we will be able to find the right way, the right stream, when all our actions are aimed through each of us, through our unity and connection, to the center of the group and concentrate there in expectation for the revelation of the Creator in order to delight Him. Question: Should we disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah among Orthodox people or among those who engage in all sorts of mystical practices?

Answer: Absolutely not! We have to keep away from any religious environment since our opinions are very different. They believe in miracles, in life after death, in mystic revelations, in forces that are external to this world, while we believe in the one force of nature. We are complete materialists. The wisdom of Kabbalah is not a religion but rather a science of attaining the one force of nature.

This force is called the Creator, God, but there is nothing mystical about it. In a much later stage humanity has distorted everything and turned it into religions, since it couldn’t find this attribute anywhere. It is bodiless, it is unidentified and unfelt. This is the force behind all the corporeal objects. But how can we define it? It is impossible!

There is no instrument that can perceive it, since it isn’t magnetism, it isn’t the global field of gravity, it isn’t electrostatics, and it isn’t x-rays. This “nothing,” how can you define it and discover it? Where can you find a detector for the revelation of the force called the Creator?

There is no detector except you. You can perceive it without any external instruments but only inside you. How can you do that? When you become sensitive to the perception of this force, according to your equivalence of form to it, you will begin to perceive it. Just like a moving needle of an instrument, so will the needle on the scale of Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, Yechida, move according to the level of your ego, to the extent that it is equal to this force.

If you rise above your ego, you will be able to use it like a spring. The current that goes through the coil turns it into a magnet that pulls the needle, the needle moves to a certain division: Nefesh, Ruach, Haya, Yechida, and we can see the measurements that this instrument indicates.

The spring that brings the needle back to zero is our ego. The force that pulls the needle in the opposite direction from the spring is the Masach (screen), our connection and resemblance to the Creator. Thus we can see the measurements on the scale. It is a very simple instrument.

At the same time our scale is not unchanging. The distance between Nefesh and Ruach is small. The distance between Ruach and Neshama is much greater. It is like the distance between the Earth and the moon, or between the Earth and the sun, between the Earth and the next galaxy. And astronomical progress is created according to our ego, which advances much more, and the Light of the Creator that operates and influences us much more strongly.

This means that we engage in the science of measuring the Creator inside us. I am the instrument, the measuring head. Everything is very simple.

In the free state of egoism, the spring sets the needle on zero. But if there is current going through the coil, the needle moves from zero. We need a source of energy in the network for that, a battery and a switch, a relay. The battery with the switch is the Creator, and the magnetic coil is the center of the group. The center of the group draws the Light into it and this creates in us the conditions for the presence of the Light.

The correcting Light, the Surrounding Light, is concentrated in the center of the group. The needle indicates the Inner Light, according to the level of the ego, the Aviut (thickness).

I hope that we will all feel the need for the external evil force that forces us to connect. Without it we have no need to connect and there cannot be one. We cannot reach the intensity of connection that is needed to discover the Creator in it by ourselves. So I am glad that we are being bitterly attacked. In fact, the attackers are powerless, but they confuse us and force us to be concerned.

We mustn’t remain indifferent. We have to react accordingly, but with the help of the force of the Torah. We only need the Light that Reforms to connect us. We only need the Creator to enter us like glue that connects us and to pass us the power of unity. He is the one who sends us all these wolves, all these barking dogs, so that we will connect more strongly.

Only if we understand and become aware of it will we win big time. We will really be the last egoistic generation in the world. I am very glad to see what is happening and I expect many struggles in the future. I expect our ego to undergo all these blows like the ten plagues of Egypt and that they will bring us to cry out strongly and by that to finally come out of the dark, out of Egypt. This goal is already very close.

Let’s focus on it with all our mind and heart, and remember everything that we have learned and support one another. You are great special people who were chosen by the Creator for this great mission, to fulfill the connection among us. The upper force that will be revealed in this connection will defeat all our enemies. We only have to raise our hands in prayer and to enable the Creator to operate among us. Then we will win the war between Moses and Pharaoh with the help of Moses’ hands, the hands of faith.

This is exactly how we have to accept all the events that the Creator is sending us in order to check the connection between us, in order to bring us closer to one another. He evokes different concerns, dangers, questions, and doubts in us, but the salvation is only in the connection between us. Everything happens only so that we will connect. There is no evil force in the world. Pharaoh is meant to bring the children of Israel closer to our Father in Heaven, and this is what is happening to us. The sooner we understand that the faster we will advance towards the goal.

We will leave the slavery in Egypt with “great property” if we grow stronger, connect, and understand that all the interruptions were only beneficial for us. It’s the Creator’s help that is now being fulfilled. I am glad to see everything that is happening and bless the evil more than the good. The evil can influence us much more than the good. So I hope that the force of resistance can shake each of us and push us all to connect.

Baal HaSulam, Letter 10: Do what you can and the salvation of the Lord is as the blink of an eye. The most important thing before you today is the unity of friends. Exert in that more and more, for it can recompense for all the faults. This is because it’s in the connection that we discover the upper force.

So everything that happens to us is only in order to force us to connect. Anyone who feels an urge to escape, to draw away, to hide, and to protect himself must understand that the Creator is sending him all these difficulties on purpose in order to help a person do some soul searching. It’s great that he feels all the evil forces since he has to focus on the center of the group, above these evil forces. It’s only there that we discover the force that will pull us out of Egypt and save us.

We don’t engage in corporeality or in any games. This is a spiritual matter. We have to raise ourselves to the level on which the account is settled with us. The events that we go through are very different from what happens to other people since the Creator has very special demands of us and sends us these interruptions on purpose. It’s all only in order to help us connect.

Question: During one of the morning lessons you said that a person who attends the lessons, participates in the group duties, and works in dissemination does not necessarily exist in the system. On the other hand, you have said that for the time when we grow we have to attend the lessons, work in dissemination, participate in the group duties, and take responsibility for them. How can we align these statements?

Answer: On its own the system of nature is corrected. We are talking only about my conscious participation and my desire to follow its laws. This is the essence of our entire work: to get to know the laws of nature and follow them. Therefore, if a person is physically among us it does not mean that he participates in the system yet. Perhaps he performs all the actions, but a “commandment without the intention is like a body without the soul.” The main thing is the desire to perform it, meaning the intention. However, is it sufficient only to have an intention for a person who has an opportunity to physically carry out an action? If he does not perform an action that he is capable to do, no. This only points out that he does not have the intention.

Question: Who is the lower one who raises MAN?

Answer: The lower one is the broken souls. Broken means that they are revealing that they are unable to connect among themselves and attain the unity that existed before the breaking.

How do they know what existed before the breaking? They arouse this desire in themselves, the need for unity, through the use of different methods.

We have all the Reshimot (informational genes) from the breaking in us; they are called the “seven Reshimot,” or the “seven Lights.”

When we want to connect among us, and we work on it in a group by performing different unifying actions, we awaken these Reshimot in us, and then we feel this lack of unity. So how do we connect?

The Light comes from above when we study, it influences us; we also do different actions, and the Light together with our actions awakens the Reshimot from the breaking in us. This makes us understand at least in our mind and a little in our sensations that we must connect.

When even a slight desire to connect arises in us, it is a result of the Light’s influence because it cannot arise on its own. And then we begin to search for ways to connect.

We think that we are able to unite directly by doing different actions; we organize conventions, unity days, gatherings of friends, and in the end we come to a breaking, disappointment, and a crisis.

But this is not a crisis; this is the revelation of the breaking, only from below upward. The revelation of the lack of unity is a good state because you also were broken before; you just were not revealing it.

Now, once you have discovered the desire and the need for unity in you, you acquire the opportunity to begin to form MAN from it, because a sensation of desire alone is not enough.

You need to work with this desire together with the group, to try to connect with your friends, and to process this desire that was revealed in you. After all, only the sensation of our inability to connect was revealed.

But this is not enough. Your desire needs to be directed towards the Upper One, towards bestowal, the connection between us, in order to reveal the spiritual, the Creator, the common property of bestowal.

As we keep working more and more on this, as a consequence of the influence of the Light, we suddenly begin to reveal in our actions attempts to connect, and we are not capable of doing it; we must go and ask help from the Upper One.

But also, when we want to ask the Upper One and it seems we are turning to Him, we discover that we not only need this Upper One to connect us, but we begin to feel that we are doing it specifically for Him.

We are not uniting among us for us but in order to connect with Him and give Him pleasure by doing this.

Question: We build the intention and try to unite during the lesson. Do we actually raise  MAN, a request for correction?

Answer: This depends on our desire, the need (Hissaron). A person can only raise MAN for a desire received from the group, from the aspirations of the friends who he wants to unite with.

He feels that a wall separates him from them. It needs to be overcome, no matter what, but he sees that he is unable to do it. But he must do it.

Then his cry intensifies until it reaches the “Gate of Tears.” A powerful impulse towards unity, together with a clear understanding of his inability and helplessness, generate a desire, which is called MAN.

A person turns to the Creator only when all the other possibilities are exhausted and there is no one else to ask.

One cannot reach a request like this from the first attempt. One needs to keep trying over and over again. A rough but true example of this is copulation. The Zohar compares the in – out movement with spiritual attacks, when man looks for the path towards the spiritual Zivug.

Baal HaSulam writes about this in “Letter 19”: “The unity of the Creator and His Shechina, which man evokes by filling his cup with yearning and sadness, is truly similar to the corporeal coupling (the lower Zivug), which leads to the birth of a physical body, which also necessarily comes from a preliminary cause, which is pressure, in other words a known degree of yearning and sadness called hardness in corporeal language, when even his seed will be beneficial, since it shoots like an arrow…”

One needs to keep trying, go through his desires, look for whatever is missing, become inspired with the desires of the friends. All of this leads to the necessary pressure (Kishuy) – man feels a burden and firmness (Koshi), concealed in this. In spirituality these things are not as simple as in the material world.

In the end man acquires a point of cohesiveness and unity. A multitude of attempts lead him to this and no attempt is in vain. So the work is in a variety of forms and all of it is preserved for the future.

Question: When following the law of mutual guarantee, the reward and the punishment are hidden, and even if you understand it with your mind, something inside you says, “It’s ok, I will still do this for my own sake.” So how can we realize this law?

Answer: It really isn’t easy to execute this law since our whole egoism is directed against it. The law of mutual guarantee is the general and the only law that encompasses the whole system where a person along with the rest of creation exist in adhesion with the common law of nature: the Creator. The system was created by the Creator and He, with the help of the Upper Light, activates it.

The Creator brought restriction and concealment into the system so that we could study the connection between all the parts of this system in order to fail in each of our actions, to discover what is lacking in order for this system to work correctly and efficiently, and to desire for it to begin working. It is like we create this missing part every time, wishing for it to occur, and then, like in a movie, a fairy tale, it suddenly occurs.

It is difficult to express in words how creative a person becomes; one participates in the creation of this system. He attains, understands, constantly adds to and maintains it. All this, of course, is carried out by the upper force, but in adhesion with the Creator since a person sees a purpose and a need in it.

Everything we do should bring us to study the right connection between us and its realization. As we work on creating this system, we learn the entire infinite reality from the broken and distant point of this world to its complete construction.

Question: There are some instances where a person, who we considered to be our friend, took the principles of the integral upbringing and organized them in his own way. He even wrote a book. Now he is trying to do workshops and trainings among our people. This is very confusing for everyone. What should we do in such cases?

Answer: If this person has done such a thing, wrote an article without conferring with anyone, without sending it to us to check the material, if he is going his own way, then let him go, but without us. He can work on his own.

He will not be able to succeed without the group, without that force which he should draw from the inside of the group.

There will be quite a few such people. They will be learning this way. We will meet once again in the next life cycle and they will have an opportunity to correct themselves.

Going out to dissemination, we need to set a specific task as quickly as possible to achieve the most effective unity among us. In this case, it has to meet all the spiritual conditions Rabash wrote about: annulling oneself, connection between us above our egoism, renunciation of egoism, ascent in unity with friends, etc.

These conditions become more understandable with each day, either from a positive point of view of what we already carry out, or from a negative point of view, what we have not done yet. Seeing as this begins to be manifested between us in the positive or even negative form, we become aware of evil that does not allow us to unite between ourselves. We are ashamed of it because, on the one hand, we cannot deal with it, but on the other hand, we do not want to tolerate it. That is why we really need to go out, but this is only a means for us to connect internally.

If there is no such unity inside us, we will achieve nothing and going out will be useless. We will become like various spiritual, mystical, psychological organizations that make businesses of their teachings and are engaged in all kinds of trainings. Nothing will come out of this because the result will be the same as theirs, and perhaps even worse because we still belong to a spiritual movement and thus should feel our wrong behavior more strongly.

All the other organizations slowly lose their positions; they are losing strength and opportunities, their influence on the masses is disappearing because humanity is changing. It requires more and more unity for overcoming all kinds and forms of crises, and no training can provide it. We cannot give them anything either if our activities do not come from the center of the group, from our unity.

Even those individuals who work freelance (who disseminate independently) must get the support of the group. This is the form of their personal existence that gives them the opportunity to disseminate as a profession, earning their living. But everyone’s success depends only on how much the person is connected with the group and how much he seeks precisely the goal of unity in all his dissemination activities.

We are connected. We perform all kinds of dissemination actions throughout the world and in that we depend on each other. If some groups or individual people do not feel or do not understand that they do it for the sake of unity, then they cause great harm to the rest, like a part of the body that does not work in unison with all the other organs.

That is why we must all pursue the same goal: unity. The most important thing for us is our group. The crisis and external conditions are created so that we empathize with the suffering of the surrounding world, and this forces us to unite even more and reach the first degree of ascent.
