Question: You said that in a group there are inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human levels, and everything depends only on a person’s intention. How can a person choose this level with his intentions?

Answer: By his development! He is rising. Now you cannot feel what level of development you are at. “I am a man in this world. See, I am a man! Look, two legs and two arms, like a monkey, and the head is also in place. So who am I, a man or not?! I look at myself in the mirror; I look like a man. Suddenly, some kind of wolf’s face appeared; no, it is not me! It is me, but internally. Suddenly, a rabbit’s face appeared, and this is also me sometimes.”

Who am I inside myself? And what we are inside we do not understand. You do not understand what level you are at, at what level are your desires of vegetative, animate, inanimate, or human type.

In principle, they are all very easy to sort. If you live based on the advice of others, in the depth of our world, then your desires are definitely at the inanimate level; otherwise you would not exist.

Desires of the vegetative level are where you completely follow what is in this world, you go after everyone else; where everyone goes, you also go. It is like this: a little toward the sun, a little like this, a little like that; these are egoistic desires of the vegetative level, and they are not even animate yet.

Desires of the animate level is where you start looking for meaning in movements, and anxiety already arises.

When you start to implement these desires to reach the next level, then although they are still egoistic, they are already approaching the desires of the human level. That is, in them you move from Lo Lishma (for yourself) to Lishma (for the sake of the other).

Question: How are they sorted in a group according to the intention?

Answer: In the group, they are usually of the fourth level. Or they are at the border between the third and fourth levels, animate and human.

Then at the next degrees, they are sorted further because each level consists of four more. This is the natural law of the decomposition of each object.

Question: Does it mean that in the group itself there is an inanimate level, a vegetative level, and so on?

Answer: Yes, we can see this by the extent people participate in everything, by how much they are inside the spiritual work, and how much they devote themselves to the implementation of the methodology. But this is not necessary because they are integrated into each other. Here, a lot depends on the root of the soul.

The ten is the state where you begin to feel that you have to be connected with everyone, you need to get out of yourself and unite with everyone.

People form a common relationship among themselves, a common body that is a separate small cell in spiritual space. Everyone has to annul themselves relative to others and imagine themselves connected to others; in the end they create this organ because there is no one person in the spiritual world.

The derivative of our connections manifests itself at the next level. Let’s say if we take you and me, then on the spiritual level there is only that which has manifested itself between us as a connection, that is, our common “we.” And at the next, higher level, there is our “we” and someone else’s “we” also interconnected together.

And so we are constantly rising from hierarchy to hierarchy in a more complicated form, constantly increasing our connection, let us say squared.

In fact there is a special system of magnification, a complex series of raising the connection between all, and it is qualitative, for example, from the level of Hod to the level of Netzach, then to the level of Tifferet, Gevura, Hesed, and so on. That is, there are not just quantitative, but qualitative, changes in the connection between them. So we can’t measure it.

How do you measure the progression of getting closer in our world? Let’s say you become acquainted with somebody. So when you meet, you start greeting him. Then you can say a few words and even sit together with him, have a cup of coffee, and so on.

And in the spiritual it is even harder because there is mutual inclusion in each other, because at the first level you and I become “we,” not “I.” Then egoism grows between us and separates us again, but qualitatively. Like in a measuring device, your sensitivity increases and when it seems to you that your parameters match, it turns out that they are still disconnected, and you adjust them again to the connection, but with increased sensitivity.

And then you switch the sensitivity again and once more you see that they have diverged, but already, let’s say, one in a thousand, ten thousand, a million, and so on. You are constantly moving toward greater and greater convergence and fusion, qualitative and integral, where everything together at every level should be united into one whole.

This is a very serious, fascinating work that goes through feelings and at the same time through the mind. As a result, you create a prototype of the Creator in yourself; that is, this huge network begins to live in you, and you own it, it is yours, and it has you in it.

Question: And if we take a large number of people, not tens, but thousands?

Answer: What’s the difference? Perhaps the network will turn out to be more entangled, but also more effective, because everyone goes toward agreement with everyone else and adds to them their power of unification. Therefore if people move forward, then the larger the group, the more effective it is, the faster at each stage it will finish its unification and will be ready for the next stage, ready for the next qualitative rise.

Question: Am I a puppet through which the Creator acts on the friends? Or are the friends only means through which the Creator acts on me?

Answer: I cannot control my friends in any way, in no way! By being connected with them, I can only convey my support to them.

And by not doing this in accordance with the capabilities of the system we are in, I harm both them and myself. We are always mutually incorporated in each other. If I do not transmit what is in me to them every second, I short-circuit myself and of course them.

This is an analog, integrated system. There is no getting away from it! There are no such calculations here where you constantly think about how to arrange something for someone. There is no such thing! All together! From the start!

When we understand this, everything will be fine. In the meantime, everyone is thinking about how to gain something and always at the expense of others! When the system is revealed, then everything will become clear.

Question: In Kabbalah, two people are considered a Minyan (group); they also make up the ten Sefirot. On one hand, there are at least two, and on the other hand, is it desirable that there are 10 people?

Answer: Two people are necessary in order to be able to understand what it means to exit yourself. For this exit to be really outside of oneself, it takes ten people. Then they form a common system.

But in principle, ten is not necessary. We just want everything to be similar to the spiritual system. In fact, it can be two, three, or five people; it does not matter. The main thing is that there should be someone outside of you on whom you can work out a way out of yourself.

As a person goes out of a space capsule into space, in the same way you should be able to go out into another. For this, the other must exist. He must be in a certain contact with you, in a certain connection, in mutual assistance, so that you can do it.

Question: Should a person do this actively so that everyone can see or is his presence enough?

Answer: Yes and no. It depends on what kind of person, at what time, in what era, and with what kind of egoism. It is not easy.

Question: How can one correctly appraise a member of the ten?

Answer: Nowadays a very extensive, stormy external connection is needed because we are very small and our egoism is very primitive. It is difficult for us to get out of ourselves, to sacrifice our little egoistic world because external society and life influence us too much. We must get good help from a friend and the environment.

Comment: Recently you have been focusing on the connection among groups.

My Response: Of course, this is mutual assistance. Therefore, I am very happy when students come to us for internships and for congresses. They see how we live. It means a lot to them! They absorb our spirit.

After returning home, they pass it on, compare it, and try to work like us. It brings us closer to each other.

Question: Is the group like a laboratory for you? Have you sort of created an environment for yourself that allows you to develop directly?

Answer: Yes, of course. They are with me, and I am with them. Absolutely!

If it were not for the group, I would have developed in a different direction. The group pulls me down by my legs, it grounds me. Look at what kind of TV recordings we have about family, about love, about unemployment, and so on. We have everything there! All this can be found in the archive.

I myself would have never produced this. But the host starts pulling information out of me like a magician pulling out colored handkerchiefs tied together, and I talk. I could not have done it without the group.

What we have done in recent years: the method of correction for beginners, the method of raising children, courses for beginners, none of this existed in Kabbalah. All of this is brand new! And all is suitable for our time! Without the group, I would never have developed this.

After all, I just talk, and then students make it all and sew it into a program. I could not physically handle it and would not even go this way at all! I would rather aim upward. I would not have the language to explain everything! I would be spinning around the world of Atzilut in my research, but not in this.

The students are constantly bringing me down to earth. And rightly so, because the world demands it.

Question: When one of your students started talking about the importance of spiritual work due to repetition of actions, i.e., about how it seems to him like a routine, you replied: “We cannot hear what you say.” Why not?

Answer: One should not hear bad things about spirituality.

Comment: But you once said that you can even swear at the Creator…

My Response: This is your own business. I do not want to hear it. You go ahead and swear. I said it is better to swear than to forget.

Imagine that you love another person, and sometimes there are all sorts of disputes between you. It is better than cutting off the connection and moving away from each other.

Question: But you hear a lot of similar things when people express their doubts and say: “I do not believe, prove it.”

Answer: This is natural! A person is in concealment! How else can he react?

But when he calls spiritual work a routine and complains that he is tired of this everyday life, then we should not listen to these and other negative statements about spirituality. He can talk to himself, anything can happen. But he has no right to speak to others!

In relation to other people, he must play as in a theater, show himself to be inspired and elated. This is the only way!

Comment: You said there are two kinds of hatred: hatred on the spiritual path and hatred from outside people. Friends in the group face the first kind of hatred, which is a beneficial rejection. But there is also harmful hatred that comes from people on the outside.

My Response: Hatred that comes from people on the outside is a small hatred on a material level. It leads to murder, extermination, and all sorts of problems, but on the animate level. This hatred does not forge, but destroys, like kids in a sandbox who do not play together and destroy each other’s forms built out of sand.

We need to think about the other hatred that arises when we aim to get closer to each other. Then a rejection emerges between us that we need to rise above. This is a particular hatred on the path.

To the extent that you strive for unity, you reveal your nature that resists it and build a connection above it, like laying bricks and rising above this masonry.

That is, hatred is like blocks. You want to aim toward another, but face a wall before you. While climbing this wall to get closer to others, you face yet another wall. You climb it, and there is another wall. And so you rise above the wall until you reach its top.

Therefore, this is the hate that forges; it gives you qualities, strength, and material, and by rising over it, you form a connection. It gives you the property of love and bestowal. After all, this hatred comes to you in all the ways you understand: why you dislike, despise, and repel each other. The reverse side of this, like a glove turned inside out, is love.

Then you understand what love is because, in fact, we do not know what it is. We do not know how to unite or treat each other with kindness. Today, everything is based only on lowly mutually beneficial interactions.

Comment: Sometimes you say to a student: “Do it this way.” And it is obvious that he is not happy about it because your advice is against all the rules. But you say: “It is better for your development,” and you leave him alone with himself.

My Response: But what can I do? Sometimes I need to show a person a little bit that he is close to spiritual actions, but slips past them, and does not want to enter into them. Inner egoistic security pushes him away from this and protects itself.

Question: You once gave an example: You are riding in a bus that is shaking and either you grab the handrail and you will be thrown out, or you will do something that is not typical of egoistic nature, grab a friend and it will help you. Is that really how it works?

Answer: If there is no connection in the group, it is very difficult to hold on! But through natural suffering, it is simply impossible! This is such terrible suffering when you have to give up your egoism in everything, in every element, and tear yourself to pieces slowly, piece by piece, in every cell.

Therefore, we need to understand what an amazing means we have, the upper Light, which we can attract through our correct interactions with each other. It can easily influence us and gently change us.

Question: If a person watches our lessons online and suddenly decides to try working in a group, how harmful can this be for him or for the group?

Answer: If he has the right desire, he can gradually blend into the group. We are talking about people who for many years either study or don’t. We don’t put much pressure on them. But a person must understand that he can “roast” for many years, like meat in a brazier.

If we put the meat on a small fire, then it will not fry, but will remain warm and raw until it spoils. Therefore, for frying, we must set it to a certain temperature, for a certain time, it must go through some kind of change that will transform it to another state. Otherwise, you leave it in its former state, and add extra energy that is completely unnecessary to it.

The same thing happens with a person who comes to a group and starts exercising once a week. He seems to be getting smarter, he seems to understand and philosophize more: here, they say, I’m already such and such, and besides, I’m a Kabbalist.

Comment: Suppose a person comes across Kabbalah for the first time and immediately wants to enter this system.

My Response: We have special courses for this. Along with that, he can watch our lessons. We do not close ourselves off from anyone or anything, but we are against immediate entry into the group. It is necessary that a person still go through the steps of development.
