Concerns Of The “Golden Billion”

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Suppose that all of humanity begins to degrade, but the “golden billion” continue living well from the materialistic point of view. Why would the “Golden Billion” still not be happy?

Answer: Because he also developed the desire, awareness, and feeling of emptiness. After all, we are in a collective integral system! They cannot do whatever they want! They don’t choose their states for themselves. We all have an influence on each other; they upon us and we upon them.

Today, every person influences the entire world and all six billion influence the “golden billion.” What they think, others will also think. There is nowhere to escape from this! And if not them by themselves, then their children in any case will become like all the rest; moreover, the egoistic incentive will gradually disappear. The instinct of the preservation of the self is diminishing.

And this is the work of the entire system, the program of nature, its fundamental law: To bring the entire system into balance, only on the conscious psychological level, on the “human” level.

“France Is Not Kiev!”

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Strategic Culture Foundation): “Social protests are on the rise in France. At the beginning of November a wave of Bonnets Rouges (red caps) meetings hit the region of Brittany in the north-western part of France. Thirty thousand people held a demonstration in Rennes, the capital of the region, to protest unemployment and ‘ecology tax.’ There were clashes with police, which used water cannons and tear gas, one of the protesters lost his hand when a gas grenade was tossed. French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said the violations of law and orders were inadmissible. It’s not Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, where everything is allowed! Some say France will have to get out of the crisis with other politicians at the helm. If it will ever get out of it…

“It’s the second economy of the European Union. Still the government fails to cope with social and economic crisis. …The growth of French economy has stopped. Unemployment was 10.9% in the third quarter of the year compared to 10.8% in the second. France has not seen such level of unemployment since 1998. It is especially severe for the young. …

“Standard & Poor’s rating agency brings down the France’s rating for the second time in two years. Looks like France is to join the list of European Union members that face solvency problems like Italy or Spain. The financial situation really makes France a problematic country. …

“The lack of income was compensated by raising taxes and increasing the debt. It has limits. In 2015 the government is to start reducing state expenditure to cut the deficit to the required level of 3%. That is exactly what Standard & Poor’s has doubts about. …

“According to polls, the two French leading political parties led by Francois Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy have actually lost popular support. Their place is being confidently taken by the National Front led by Marine le Pen. … The main political slogans of the new French leading political force include: the withdrawal from NATO and the European Union, the return to the former currency – the franc, building a continental alliance of states from the Atlantic to the Pacific along with Russia but without immigrants, going back to traditional family values (to exclude the perversions like the same sex marriages).”

My Comment: The ideas of revolution and socialism have always been close to the French. But, on the other hand, it is in France that we see indifference to the ideas of integral education and upbringing, not to mention Kabbalah. Perhaps, in contrast to the Russian people, it is inherent in the specificity of the French revolution and in general in the French character.

The Crisis Has Changed The Attitudes Of The Youth

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Christian Science Monitor): “The Great Recession helped reverse a decades-long rise in materialism among many young people. Despite a tough financial future, they are also more concerned about others. This shift is a gift for those seeking less spending at Christmas.

“Polls consistently show Americans wish they could spend less on Christmas gift-giving. Well, a new study suggests their wish could come true, at least among younger people.

“Researchers who have tracked the attitudes of high school seniors over decades find the Great Recession of 2007-09 has caused a great reversal: These young people of today are less interested in worldly goods.

“It is not only that they can’t afford all the flash and bling of American consumerism. Many simply don’t want it. This change of attitude ends a steady rise since 1980 in the materialistic desires of young people, according to researchers Heejung Park, Jean M. Twenge, and Patricia M. Greenfield of the University of California, San Diego. …

“But the researchers also found that today’s younger Millennials are more community-minded and show a greater concern for others. And they are not pessimistic about themselves. ‘The Great Recession was unique in leading to more, rather than less, positive self-views,’ they found. …

“To be sure, young people are less able to buy much, having been forced to temper their expectations. During the recession, the youth unemployment rate was nearly as high as for all adults during the Great Depression of the 1930s. More than 13 percent of people between ages 25 and 35 still live with a parent. By putting off a transition to settling down, they are putting off buying stuff.

“But many do not want to own a car, opting instead for using Zipcars, bike sharing systems, and mass transit. The wired generations connect with others digitally. They are more inclined to rent than own a home and to live in urban areas than the previous generation.

“A survey of 14-to-30-year-olds conducted for Junior Achievement in November found 71 percent would rather have a job that serves others than have a job that promotes their personal brand.”

My Comment: The crisis will lead its generation to being able to exist in an integral community, in the property of mutual bestowal and guarantee.

Preventing The Regression Of Humanity

Dr. Michael LaitmanI have often said and today we can actually see that millions of people are finding themselves outside the circle of active life. They receive minimal benefits, stay at home, and don’t know what to do.

A person regresses and degrades! If he doesn’t work for a couple of months, not to speak of several years, he is incapable of doing anything. He becomes an unproductive part of society since he loses the ability to work. Work builds a person! The search, the tension, and the study!

So he regresses and gradually degrades and simply becomes a mass of protein. What should we do about it?! They will go out to the streets and destroy everything. We already see that.

What is more, the next, scariest phase is beginning now: The middle class, the backbone of society, is disappearing. Factories will be shut down, production will stop and everything will begin to decline. What will happen next? They will also be given food rations. But they are used to a different standard of living! Will the golden billion, or even less, stay afloat and all the rest live on food stamps (for needy families with low income) for their “free lunch”? What will happen to these people?! After all, there is no system that can deal with them!

Perhaps the governments believe in feeding people with drugs by making marijuana legal, etc. This is not a solution!

I am not looking at this from a humanistic perspective or sympathetically: “What will become of the six billion people?!” I look at things from the perspective of non-compliance with nature’s law of development!

The regression of humanity will bring about greater sufferings. A person will not be allowed to just sit on the couch watching some TV program, smoking pot while being served his weekly meal.

Nature will not allow that, since nature’s plan is to bring all of nature to an integral state, which is the law of development that cannot be nullified. Nature must bring us to a state of becoming equal to it, to turn us into integral members in an integral society, each one by himself and all of us together. So you can’t just get rid of six billion people by putting them on drugs and food rations. Nature will lead them onward. It has to bring man to a state of being equal to it! A person has to become a human being.

This can only happen by balancing all the systems. The different parts of our world, like the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking nature, have to reach a state of balance, which means mutual support, homeostasis.

Bringing a person to the lowest state, however, is not homeostasis. The most important thing is to consciously raise ourselves to the level of a human being that is made of two opposite attributes: an egoistic one and an altruistic one, and operating in mutual cooperation by balancing them.

Drones Are In Control Of The Nation

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion (Alexander Vladimirov, Major General, vice president of Russia’s board of military experts): “Due to the work of the creative part of society, people’s living conditions become safe and comfortable, the drones of society become socially more active because they do not have to spend time and effort to provide for themselves.

“Due to natural irresponsibility, they have a lot of free time, and they fill the entire information and public niches of society by themselves.

“Over time, their public activity fills national information space, blogosphere (social networks, the media) and forms ‘public opinion.’ They know everything, they talk ironically about everything, teach everyone how to live – and nothing can be done with them because it is necessary to be tolerant as this is the main feature of a modern civilized person.

“It begins to seem that precisely drones built the state; they are the main part of it; the country would be lost without them; they are the creators of all the national achievements. ‘Network hamsters’ – blogosphere triumphs, presenting the idols of modern times – bloggers, as the most active and irresponsible part of drones, who joyfully increase the pressure of blogosphere – public opinion (rating) – on the government and society in their own interests.

“Drones begin to consider themselves the basis of the people, who have an indisputable right to dictate lifestyle norms, the questions of national morality and begin to form the personnel policy of the state.

As a result of their actions:

– Drones come to power;

– The rights of drones are being formed in the domestic law;

– The basic spheres of national power are destroyed;

– The ability of people to evolve and be secure is reduced;

The people turn into a community of drones and consumers-parasites;

– The nation slides into degradation, and its historical time expires;

-Thus, a civilization disappears from human history.”

My Comment: These processes of the degeneration of society we see in all the countries. You can only imagine what will happen with the increasing numbers of unemployed; the “drones” will rise up, and society will be gradually destroyed. Only organizing all the members of society, except those needed for creating rational necessary goods, in the system of integral education and upbringing will be able to prevent this process.

How To Get Rid Of Unwanted People …

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from The Independent): Ireland is asking its citizens to leave the country if they can’t find a job in a desperate bid to slash welfare costs.

“The Irish government has sent letters to approximately 6,000 unemployed people suggesting they should take jobs in other European countries in an effort to reduce unemployment benefits, the Financial Times has reported. …

“Unemployment has eased in recent months, falling to its lowest level in four years in November at 12.5 per cent, but youth unemployment remains a problem.

“Overall, one in four Irish under 25 is still unemployed.

My Comment: Would the head of governments not consider destroying the population unnecessary for them?  And here is message about the vaccine to reduce the population of the Third World.

In the News (from Geopolitics and Geo-economics): Microsoft founder and one of the world’s wealthiest men Bill Gates projects an image of a benign philanthropist using his billions via his (tax exempt) Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to tackle diseases, solve food shortages in Africa and alleviate poverty. In a recent conference in California, Gates reveals a less public agenda of his philanthropy―population reduction, otherwise known as eugenics.

“Gates made his remarks to the invitation-only Long Beach, California TED2010 Conference, in a speech titled, “Innovating to Zero!.” Along with the scientifically absurd proposition of reducing manmade CO2 emissions worldwide to zero by 2050, approximately four and a half minutes into the talk, Gates declares, ‘First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.’

“In plain English, one of the most powerful men in the world states clearly that he expects vaccines to be used to reduce population growth. When Bill Gates speaks about vaccines, he speaks with authority. In January 2010 at the elite Davos World Economic Forum, Gates announced his foundation would give $10 billion (circa €7.5 billion) over the next decade to develop and deliver new vaccines to children in the developing world. …

“The pharmaceutical vaccine makers do not speak about the enormous health damage from infant vaccination including autism and numerous neuro-muscular deformities that have been traced back to the toxic adjuvants and preservatives used in most vaccines. …

“Monsanto, DuPont, Dow, Syngenta and other major GMO agribusiness giants are reported at the heart of AGRA, using it as a back-door to spread their patented GMO seeds across Africa under the deceptive label, ‘bio-technology,’ a euphemism for genetically engineered patented seeds. The person from the Gates Foundation responsible for its work with AGRA is Dr. Robert Horsch, a 25-year Monsanto GMO veteran who was on the team that developed Monsanto’s RoundUp Ready GMO technologies.  His job is reportedly to use Gates’ money to introduce GMO into Africa.”

My Comment: But it is possible to use a similar vaccination for the fellow citizens!

“An Attack On Workers”

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from MintPress News): “The day after two major developments in the U.S. saw worker pensions put on the chopping block in order to bail out state and local governments, an analysis in the New York Times shows that across the Atlantic, European nations are now stripping their worker protections and dismantling pensions as they follow the established American model of putting corporate elites first in a race to the bottom for cheap labor and deregulated capitalism.

“On Tuesday in Detroit, a bankruptcy judge ruled that city pensioners can have their earned benefits cut as he approved the largest municipal bankruptcy in the state’s history.

“Also on Tuesday, the state of Illinois passed a measure that dramatically alters the pension formula for retired workers and diminishes those benefit programs for current and future public employees. …

“Meanwhile, in an expansive piece in the New York Times on Wednesday, titled ‘Americanized Labor Policy Is Spreading in Europe,’ Eduardo Porter explains how European governments and policy makers—by following the U.S. example of cancelling collective bargaining protections, attacking pensions, and slashing wages—are not only expanding income and wealth inequality but are ‘radically changing the nature of Europe’s society.’ …

“Andrew Watt, an economist who heads the Macroeconomic Policy Institute in Germany, worries that the push for labor market deregulation will cascade from one weak country to the next, as all engage in a futile race to create jobs by gaining market share from one another in a world of insufficient demand. ‘Whichever country is weakest at the time is forced into major cutbacks. First Germany, now Spain, next France,’ he said.”

My Comment: Thus they come to war. The solution to the world conflict is in a conscious concerted transition to rational sustainable production and living standards. But it is not possible to even dream about it with human egoism. That is why it is necessary to first implement the course of integral education at least for the part of humanity that is freed from work as a condition for providing them with welfare. Otherwise, sliding to the bottom cannot be stopped.

Technological Progress Leads To A Trap

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Nauka (Science): “Qubit (Q – bit) is a quantum bit, an information unit, 0 or 1. By receiving information in one bit, we reduce our ignorance about anything (uncertainty) to half.

“The dimensions of computer brain reached the borders of the quantum world, where not the classical, but quantum probability laws govern.

“Unlike classical bits that can take only the values of 0 or 1, a qubit takes an infinite number of states, a combination (superposition) of the two fundamental 0 and 1. Superposition characterizes the probability of finding a qubit in one of the two main states.

“Each number like this consists of a real number of an imaginary number, indicating rotation in quantum space. Imaginary numbers help determine the probability of finding a qubit in one or another corner of the quantum world.

“If electronic gadgets function on quantum chips, they will become invisible and elusive. There will be no secrets for quantum computers, they will easily crack any code; any competent hacker will be able to command nuclear missiles to take off or cause a nuclear reactor to explode.

“No one will be able to stop research in this area. The same situation occurred during the atomic race. Another arms race has begun, this time it is quantum.”

My Comment: The evolution of egoism drives us to the need to be re-educated by the method of integral education, from egoistic desires to altruistic, by force—through suffering or in awareness—in advance, before suffering will force us.

The Report Of The World Economic Forum

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Pew Research Center): “A new report from the World Economic Forum ranks the 10 most important global trends, based on a poll of 1,592 leaders from academia, business, government, and non-profits.

“Here are some data points that compare and contrast the public’s views around the world with the trends identified by the experts.

“1. Rising societal tensions in the Middle East and North Africa – People in this region were mostly dissatisfied with their country direction, according to the Pew Research Center’s survey of people across the globe this year. This includes particular disappointment in Lebanon (88% dissatisfied), the Palestinian territories (87%) and Tunisia (81%).

“2. Widening income disparities  – One of the most striking findings from our recent survey of general publics across the globe was the degree to which people see the gap between rich and poor as a major challenge. In 31 of 39 nations, half or more of those polled said inequality is a very big problem in their country.

“3. Persistent structural unemployment – The spring survey found that two-thirds or more in most countries say a lack of employment opportunities is a very big problem. When asked which of the four issues – inflation, unemployment, inequality or debt – the government should address first, 22 of the 39 publics surveyed said jobs.

“4. Intensifying cyber threats – U.S. policy experts were very concerned about the threat of cyber-attacks from China, according to our survey last year. However, while the World Economic Forum survey identified cyber threats as a top concern, 47% of experts admitted they have limited knowledge of the problem.

5. Inaction on climate change – A median of 54% or more of people surveyed in Canada, Europe, the Asia Pacific, Latin America and Africa saw global warming as a major threat to their countries, according to our global survey. However, only 40% of Americans and a median of 42% in the Middle East region regarded global climate change as a major concern.

“6. Diminishing confidence in economic policies – In our polls conducted across the globe, people voiced widespread concerns about economic conditions in their countries. Indeed, attitudes were particularly grim in European countries, such as France (only 9% said good), 4% said the same in Spain, 3% in Italy and just 1% in Greece. Nevertheless, in emerging markets such as China, 88% of the people said their economy was doing well.

“7. A lack of values in leadership – Between 2007 and 2012, confidence in Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) national governments declined from 45% to 40% on average, making it difficult for national authorities to mobilize support for necessary reforms, according to a recent report by the OECD. In the U.S., public trust in government has fallen substantially since 1958 and is near an all-time low.

“8. The expanding middle class in Asia – More than any other region, Asians are hopeful about the economic prospects for the next generation. In contrast to Asia’s relatively positive outlook, majorities in the United States, Canada, and throughout Western Europe believe the economic future will be worse for the next generation.

“9. The growing importance of megacities – Life is increasingly lived in the world’s urban centers. According to the United Nations Population Division, more than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas. However, not all of the world’s regions are equally urban. Africa, for example, is predicted to reach 50 percent urbanization by 2035.

“10. The rapid spread of misinformation online – One-third (30%) of the world’s youth have been active online for at least five years, according to the International Telecommunication Union. Social networking has also spread around the world. In 19 of 21 countries, about three-in-ten or more of those polled use sites such as Facebook, according to our survey last year.”

My Comment: The report is correct, it just has completely incorrect conclusions. But the organizers can understand; they have not means to solve this crisis. It is not like in the past; it is not at the level of our world but at the level of the forces that control this world. And it can be solved only by raising society to the level of these forces.

This rapid decline of society by all socio-economic indicators tells us about the need to quickly disseminate the method of Integral Education and Upbringing, without which no changes are possible because now they can be only in the direction of destruction or the rise toward unity of a new generation.

The Collective Is Always Smarter

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Paranormal News): “Numerous examples from everyday life seemingly convince us of the inability of the collective intelligence to make the right decision.

“Meanwhile, under certain conditions, a group, even consisting of people who cannot boast great intellect, is often closer to the truth than its most intelligent members. Averaging eliminates errors made by everyone, and the errors of individuals are mutually cancelled; what remains is the truth or something close to it. The following four conditions must be met for the group to come up with the right solution:

  • The members’ opinion should vary (everyone should have some of his own information, even if it is a misinterpretation of the true facts).
  • They must be independent (everyone’s opinion should not depend on the opinion of others).
  • The group must be decentralized (it does not have leader, whose opinion could be followed by the rest).
  • A mechanism that detects the collective solution.

My Comment: If a group is connected by a single goal but in different ways of achieving it, and seeks the correct way of reaching this goal, independent of anyone’s individual correctness, they will find the true solution with mutual support and general clarification.
