Teaching And Role-Playing

628.2Question: While teaching the wisdom of Kabbalah, you devote 90% of your time to giving lectures and answering questions, less time to workshops, and you do not use role-playing at all. Why?

Answer: In principle, I studied only by receiving materials and asking questions. There were almost no workshops. I probably continue the methodology of my teacher in this way. Besides, it is quite difficult to introduce something new in my condition.

Remark: But you could conduct workshops, role-playing games, and analyze some cases. Let’s say something happened in one of the tens. You could take some standard general example, use this example to teach everyone else, and then everyone would remember that.

My Comment: Maybe you are right, but I am not used to it. I am a “dinosaur,” and it is already hard for me to change something. I have not seen such a state in the spiritual world and such examples in it that would be similar to role-playing.

Question: Maybe this is not suitable for studying Kabbalah. But can this be applied for integral teaching?

Answer: Anything can be applied: drawings, movies, music videos, etc. I do not disagree with anything.

Question: Is there a difference in our insight when we listen to a lesson recorded or live?

Answer: There is a difference. Listening to lectures live brings one insight, recorded brings another one, and through some other sources, a third.

Annul Yourself Before The Teacher

165Question: There are methods that affect the comprehension of information. It is said that when we listen to a lecture, we perceive about 5% of the general information that is quickly forgotten during the day. When reading, we absorb 10%, through listening 30%, through video – 50%.

We perceive 70% through role-playing games, seminars, round tables, and 90% when we  teach someone else. Do you agree with this?

Answer: This is usually the case in our egoistic world. And if one tries to “enter” the teacher and connect with him in spite of our egoism, then the perception will be 100%. Only it will be different in the scope of his internal capabilities, the so-called soul, different from the soul of his teacher.

The student must annul before the teacher, allow him to enter into himself, and then he will perceive 100% of the information. Very little depends on the teacher. It all depends on the student.

The spiritual teacher allows everyone to enter into him, and no one disturbs him. As it is said: the AHP of the lower connects to the Galgalta Eynaim of the upper.

528.01Question: What is this force that manifests in the circle? Sometimes you call it the Creator, but this is immediately associated with religion. Sometimes nature, which is associated with some kind of spiritual practice.

Answer: The general strength of the circle is manifested in the circle, that is, the integral strength of its participants.

Question: At times, preparation is conducted in silence before the workshop. When is it best to use it and on what topics?

Answer: We must look at the state of the group. I believe that this is a very special method of connecting people to attention, and it can only be used if there is a good understanding between the group members. But this training is not meant for beginners.

Question: For discussion in a circle, we use a variety of sources. This can be primary sources, news, dramatic situations, watching a movie, an excerpt from a movie. Is there a difference in running such circles?

Answer: No. These are all information carriers.

Question: What issues cannot be resolved using a roundtable?

Answer: I believe that there are no such questions. This is a panacea for everything.

Question: What is the optimal number of participants in the roundtable?

Answer: Six to seven people. More than five and less than ten. Preferably no more than ten people, otherwise it will be very difficult and everything will be formal.

Question: Today all circles are virtual. What advantages do you see in them compared to ordinary circles where people physically sit together and feel each other?

Answer: In virtual circles it is very difficult to understand that everyone is equal, that everyone welcomes the common opinion, they try to be like one person. People should know each other, speak the same language, and feel each other. Ultimately, they will mostly dissolve. But it still requires additional effort.

Question: Do you think it is effective to use songs during roundtables?

Answer: Of course. Anything that unites is useful.

Question: What is the principle of organizing circles? Age, gender, education?

Answer: It is desirable that the participants are equal in every sense. So that no external signs give someone preference over someone else.

Question: Is there a benefit to passively observing the roundtable?

Answer: Yes. This can be learned. It is advisable to make a circle in front of everyone.

Question: Do you think it is acceptable to start a working day with a discussion in a circle and end in the same way? Wouldn’t it just be a waste of time?

Answer: Maybe yes, but we must try to do it. It all depends on the development of society.

Question: What should you  do when the initial excitement from using circles disappears and everything turns into a routine ceremony? How do I update this process?

Answer: Stop it, conduct research on why this is happening and what is the disadvantage of our work. And start again.

Question: Often the bosses at work do not accept the circle method for making decisions because they are afraid of losing authority, power. How do we solve this problem?

Answer: You can’t do anything here. We must fight this.

Launch An Educational Process

552.02Remark: In order to learn how to rise above conflicts and make correct decisions, people must take an integral education course. However, it may take several years to prepare them.

My Comment: There is nothing we can do. This is what education is for, to train people to understand decisions correctly and even produce their own.

It is necessary to launch an educational process for all of society. People need to understand where they are going, who they are, in what society, and at what period they live.

When they are in this process, it will become clear to us what to do with them. So far, I have not encountered such people because there is no clear process of education in society.

Now we teach the method of integral education only to certain people who want to do it and are ready to give it three or four hours a day.

All Complaints Are To Yourself

583.03Question: From the point of view of the perception of reality, do all conflicts arise in a person only with oneself since everything that a person sees outside of himself is painted by his egoism?

Answer: That is absolutely correct. We do not have conflicts with anyone outside, neither with the Creator, nor with nature or other people. Only with ourselves.

Question: What is the reason that everything is organized this way?

Answer: For a person to see that the whole world is contained in him.

Question: Let’s assume he sees this. What’s next?

Answer: That’s it! It means that he has come to full correction.

Question: Then all complaints are only to myself?

Answer: Of course!

Question: What will this lead to in the end?

Answer: To the fact that you will achieve complete connection and full adhesion with the Creator.

528.03Can our states be programmed?

Question: Is it necessary to lead the participants through all stages in each round? Should a person go through one or several sensory states at each meeting?

Answer: Any state of a person consists of several states, even if we cannot differentiate them. Therefore, you should not strictly limit yourself in advance. Today we are talking only about this and nothing else. A person may not understand and become isolated if he is not given the opportunity to maneuver to determine where he is.

Question: Suppose, at the next meeting, I want a person to feel the evil of his egoistic nature. I arrange the meeting accordingly. We discuss this topic, read excerpts from original texts, and do special exercises. I want him to feel it.

It is quite possible that now he is in a different state or, on the contrary, feels a surge of emotions and cannot analyze his egoism. Can these states be programmed?

Answer: No, this is impossible. The human soul cannot be programmed, organized, described, or put into any framework.

Question: How do you do it? You teach, there are several thousand people in front of you, and each is in some state of their own. But you still have some kind of lesson plan.

Answer: I imagine a prefabricated image and work for it. It is very bad when I need to isolate some of its properties, for example, North Americans or Africans, or someone else based on some earthly or spiritual characteristics. It is best when it is one image.

Question: But I, as a moderator, must plan these meetings, select materials, and prepare people for the upcoming states?

Answer: Of course. Otherwise how are you going to conduct workshops and all unifying events? And then each individual will feel some of his own states.

Humbleness Of The Leader

963.6Remark: One of the most important qualities of biblical leaders was humbleness.

My Comment: This is inherent to all great people who perceive themselves not as something existing, but as existing for the sake of something. They live for the sake of the upper idea. Therefore, they do not perceive an individual as having value of its own.

A leader is humble because he understands that the leadership qualities are given to him by nature, and therefore does not attribute them to himself.

Not perceiving anything in the world to be higher than the idea, he sees himself as its conductor to the masses. And the masses can only be its implementers.

The Single Upper Education System

115If we do not ask for corrected desires, then the Creator will still reveal desires to us, but they will be corrupted ones in accordance with our corrupted request.

Just like when a child asks his mother for something unnecessary and even a little harmful. She gives him a little of what he asks for so that he is convinced that his request is wrong, not good, and needs to be changed.

That is how she teaches him, and this is the right way to learn. After all, she does not face the child head-on, categorically stating: “No, you are not allowed this!” She says: “Do you want to get it? I will give you a little bit to make you feel that this is not good and to understand that what I advise for you is better for you.”

In this form, the mother teaches the child that she understands better what is good for him and that he should listen to her advice in the future. Then next time he will know what to ask.

Try to treat your children and yourself in this way, and you will learn and understand how the Creator treats us. All this will unfold before you as a single upper system of education according to which the Creator teaches us. The Torah is designed to educate us to be exalted, eternal, and perfect creatures, and most importantly, connected.

Rise Above Disagreements

544Question: Some say that we should let about 5% of those sick with coronavirus die, in order to restart the economy because it will otherwise collapse and the consequences of that will be worse. Humanists say that we must fight for every life and save every person.

Similar conflicts arise in firms, at workplaces, in governments, and in families. People are divided.

In integral education courses, we looked into a similar situation and when we were analyzing it, a conflict broke out between two participants. It turned out that the grandmother of one of them had died a few days ago, and therefore, he supported the quarantine because of his personal experience. And the second one had been unemployed for several months and nothing to feed his children, and he was in favor of lifting the quarantine.

The rest of the participants were involved in the conflict, and the group split into two camps. How would you resolve such a conflict?

Answer: This cannot be solved on the spot. We must understand the whole picture, and only after that will we derive a formula by which we will decide what to do in each specific case. Based on the explosion of emotions, we are not able to decide where the truth is.

If we rise in our relationship, then we also will be able to rise above the virus. And the fact that now I accept his point of view or he accepts mine will not lead us anywhere. The decision must be mutual, and by acting according to it, definitely no one will get sick, and whoever needs to receive a salary, will receive it.

Question: The decision lies in a completely different plane? In order to come to a general agreement in a small group, people just need to improve their relationships?

Answer: That is the decision they must come to and everything will be fine.

Toward The Human Level

709Question: A person must have some goal in life, otherwise it is not life. Is there a spiritual root to such a phenomenon as the search for the meaning of life?

Answer: Throughout our life, desires of the inanimate level gradually arise in us, then of the vegetative, animate, and finally, the human level. This is how we develop until we reach our personal highest level, and then we tend to old age and death. In the life of each person, this is purely individual.

The same thing happens in parallel with the life of society. Throughout all the stages of human development, we see that it has also passed the stages of inanimate, vegetative, animate levels, and is now at the level of human awareness of the meaning of life.

As a rule, we exist as animals, want to have our own burrow or den, to reproduce, to be healthy and happy until the last days of life, and to die peacefully. Such an existence, when the organism takes care only of itself, is called the animate level because a person thinks only about his belly, about himself materially.

But recently, humanity has begun to rise to another level. From the animate level, the next level begins to arise, the human level. This level has no earthly expression.

If the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels exist in nature in their external, material expression, a person differs from an animal only in that he has his own higher, deeper meaning of life, and he develops towards understanding it. In other words, what is outside our animate level is called the human level.

Question: How many people are engaged in searching for the meaning of life today?

Answer: I think that these are very few individuals relative to all mankind, i.e., hundreds of thousands, nothing more.
