Question: Every evolutionary process is a cycle: There is a beginning, a climax, and an end. Don’t you feel that the evolution of civilization is coming to an end in the egoistic feeling?

Answer: Today we have returned to Mesopotamia! Once again we are in ancient Babylon. Only this Babylon now covers the entire globe. That ancient Babylon, a civilization of three million people, has grown to seven billion. We are back in the place we escaped from, which means in the same crisis that the ancient Babylonians went through. This is exactly what Kabbalists predicted.

Question: But the people in ancient Babylon did manage to exit the ego?

Answer: They did not overcome the crisis but solved it in a different way. They drew away from one another and dispersed all over the earth, which we cannot do.

If we don’t solve the crisis we are in by using the wisdom of Kabbalah, the only thing we will be able to resort to will be war, there is no other way. It’s our only point of freewill, we will either be able to bring people to our method before they start a war or they are about to experience the path of sufferings; there is no other way.

Nature is not cyclic, it has never been and will never be; it doesn’t develop that way. We see it in the still, vegetative, and animate nature; we see it in space. If a certain body revolves around another body, it doesn’t mean that it is a cycle but that it moves forward. Just like the backward and forward movement of a wheel moves forward.

Nature doesn’t need cyclicality. If we say that nature is conscious, wise, and that it created us and it is clear that the program that manages us is much wiser than us, then cyclicality is corruption, lack of purpose, and absolutely inconclusive.

Kabbalists started writing since the days of Adam. He was the first Kabbalist who discovered the spiritual world 5,770 years ago and who wrote about it in the book The Angel Ratziel. Since then everything that Kabbalists prophesied was accurately fulfilled. Therefore, I see no reason that this is going to change.

A person who studies Kabbalah begins to see its laws since it’s just like physics: There are two forces, two vectors that are balanced by a third force, a Masach (screen), and there is nothing but that. This is what the work of all the systems is based on, of all the different mechanisms in still nature, the living cells, in an organism that is a collection of cells, and so on all the way to human society, a collection of egoists. All are governed by the same laws that are elucidated with minute precision.

A Kabbalist who studies the laws of nature actually experiences these states. Thus he goes through what humanity has not gone through yet and can write about it for humanity and teach it. Otherwise, he has no reason to do so.

We begin to study Kabbalah from the level of the world of Ein Sof (Infinity) from where one force descends, the positive force of bestowal, and then thanks to it, a second force is created, the negative force of receiving, the desire. Then we study about the development of these two forces, about the four phases of the direct Light, and about its descent into our world.

By the way, the Torah only describes the world of Atzilut, the world of correction and not what preceded it. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” which means that Bina of the world of Atzilut generates the system of ZON (Zeir Anpin and Malchut). It is the uppermost level in the Torah. In fact in Kabbalah we learn about higher Sefirot.

When we study these laws, we see that they are fulfilled everywhere without exception. Corporeal nature is a result of these laws. It is transparent and we see how it all moves, grows, and develops; we see how these two forces cooperate and generate the still nature, the vegetative, the animate, and the “speaking”; we see what generates every small movement in our world. Therefore there can be no guess work here.

The main thing is that the freewill that humanity in ancient Babylon had still exists today. But it is relative freewill. If you don’t want to use it and to advance along the good and conscious way, it means that more sufferings should be added so you will understand the need to develop in a positive way. Otherwise you may come to a nuclear world war.

After all, no matter what we say, the sufferings have an educational role, although we are in continuous regression. We regressed when we were egoists, but now there is nowhere to return to, so a war will be a most serious addition that will help us understand the way things really are, but it’s very undesirable.

Question: You and I are the same age. Today we see different flaws in the young generation that were taboo in our times, how can we find the power to love these people? Suppose a person behind the wheel runs over a boy before his mother’s eyes, can she love the killer afterward?

Answer: It isn’t about loving the killer. You are bringing an extreme example, but I will try to explain. The mother has to rise to the level where she sees what actually happens: That nothing in this world is done by people, but that everything is fulfilled by the system of cooperation between all the people and the one upper force that leads us towards the goal.

What does “her son” mean?  The boy that was killed is her son on the corporeal level, but on the next level, on the human level, it is part of a system that appears and disappears. When I discover the whole system, I don’t see any flaws in it; I see that everything is managed by only one force.

But in this case I am not on the same level the mother is, where we see, God forbid, how her son is killed. I feel all this differently. I am not the mother anymore, and he is not the child, we are all mutually connected and I already understand that both life and death are perceived in a totally different way. It is an endless change of states. What is the difference between feeling ourselves in our body and feeling ourselves outside the body? These are different levels of perception. We learn all this in the perception of reality.

So there is no answer to your question as you ask it. It is impossible to explain to a mother who is on the corporeal level of her development what has happened to her son. But a person who attains spirituality certainly perceives everything differently.

I also saw it with my teacher. Several months after I came to study with him, the mother of one of his students passed away. According to Jewish custom the relatives of the deceased sit Shiva at home and mourn. I came to express my condolences and what do you think I saw there? They were having small talk as if nothing had happened. I was shocked. It really affected me at the time.

This means that I began to realize that people see life and death in a totally different manner; it isn’t a tragedy for them, not the loss of life. When you begin to feel the whole network of forces, you see that nothing disappears, and no one goes anywhere, but simply disappears from your perception and not more than that. But it is hard to explain that at the moment.  We have to advance towards revelation and then a person will discover the answer to all the questions by himself.

Question: We have a very friendly, close-knit virtual group. We would like them to be present at the convention. What is the best way to do this virtually?

Answer: From the point of view of the wisdom of Kabbalah, in the universe there is nothing but the desire to receive and the Light that affects this desire. The Light, acting on the desire, causes in it a fourfold development that begins to be manifested in the four stages of the worlds: Atzilut, Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya.

However, in order to be independent of this Light, it is necessary to get out from under its power. That is why the desire that was broken on the last level falls to a state where it feels no connection with the Light. This state is called “our world.” That is, our world is the desire degraded to the point where it feels only itself, out of touch with who governs it, who affects it. This is the state that we call our world, this world.

Actually, there is no difference between our world and the spiritual world. It is only if you are on any of the 125 degrees of the spiritual world that the connection between two forces is manifested there more obviously, in desire. The desire feels who affects it and why, how, and what for. It is in dialog with the Creator. In other words, the force of reception (the force of desire) and the force of bestowal (the force of the Creator/Light) are in the desire itself in the clear form.

However, on our level (the last level), it is not clear because disconnection took place. That is why our world is built of the three kinds of desire: still, vegetative, and animate. However, the human level does not exist in it because it belongs to the next spiritual levels, to the 125 degrees.

Our world is very important because in beginning to attain the upper world I must be absolutely independent, not under its power. “Independent” means cut off, detached from it, not familiar with, ignorant. If I exist in this way, I can carry out my own completely separate actions, not under the influence of the upper Light, but because “I have decided myself.”

That is why our world is the most important. After all, any Kabbalist, no matter on what degree of attainment of the upper world he is, must perform his further advancement while being in the body—that is, in sensation of the lowest egoistic degree—and ascend from it.

Suppose that I am on the 20^th spiritual degree. In order to rise to the 21^st, I need to lose the 20^th degree completely and become like everyone else in this world, feeling only it and rising to the next degree from it, and during the transition to the 22^nd degree, I have to fall again to the very end, to this world, and again begin my ascent from it.

It is impossible to attain a single spiritual degree and the transition between them if you are not in the feeling of this so-called, our world. People think, “Now, I disconnect from this world and will not care. I will fly there and advance further. Why do I need physical contact with the friends?” They are absolutely wrong in this. We will need this communication. We will not escape it!

How much attention have the Kabbalists given to the description of the order of the group: How it should interact, meet, and what to talk about. It is said that the only opportunity to rise to the upper world is if the group conveys to you the power, the importance of the goal, the importance of unity, and the importance of annulling oneself before the group.

When you are constantly in the group, you are active and can control yourself, not theoretically through the Internet behind which you can always hide, but practically when you can look your friends in the eyes or look away, or can hug or reject him. You cannot do this virtually. It is impossible without this. If you mean the method of Kabbalah, you must feel each other.

What can we do in a region where villages are 500 or 1000 kilometers apart, not to mention big cities? You need contact with each other physically at least occasionally.

I flew here because it is very important to bring this region together, so that you could meet once or twice a year even in small groups of 30 to 50 people. After all, people who have this opportunity but do not use it lose a lot.

We should understand that there is no difference between the wisdom of Kabbalah and integral education. It is simply the same idea conveyed in different words. According to the articles of Baal HaSulam, the method is based on the recognition of the importance of the goal, on exiting one’s ego, on ascending above ourselves, on the unity in which we discover the Creator, the upper force, the integral force of nature. All the conditions we speak and read about are true and can also be implemented in integral education. But there we don’t use terms like “Creator,” “created being,” “Surrounding Light,” “Sefirot,” “Partzufim,” etc.

On the whole we describe the same conditions and the same processes using ordinary language. We say that the force of integral unity gradually appears in the unity and the adhesion between us, or as we say today “the wisdom of the crowd.” This is the Creator, this is the Light. It doesn’t happen all at once, but gradually until we reach the real level, but on the whole it is the same thing.

Actually, when we use the terminology of integral education, you begin to understand the Kabbalistic terms better, their inner meaning. After all, we are used to certain words—but what is concealed behind them? What is their charge? What is the message? We don’t exactly feel that.

So when we approach integral education, we begin to actually feel what the Kabbalistic method is, how it unites people and summons in them, in the section between them, the revelation of the network of forces of the mutual altruistic connections. It is there that the next level of nature will be revealed, the true human level, or that of the Creator.

So we are not escaping the wisdom of Kabbalah but simply expressing it in different words. By the way, a similar method was also used in the first steps of this science. We already know that there are four languages for describing the spiritual integral upper state:

•  The language of the Torah, which is the simplest language, by which everything seems to be described as a “historical” story
•  The language of the Midrash
•  The language of the Haggadah
•  The language of Kabbalah

The language of Kabbalah is the most accurate; it is a technical language that uses only accurate terminology: opposite forces, that operate mutually by repulsion and attraction, getting closer and further away. In fact it is the clarification of vectors just like in mathematics: The cooperation of two opposite forces by the connection that they attain between them. This connection is called the Masach (screen).

So the whole system is very simple. The force of bestowal is presented as descending from the top down, and if the force of receiving can change itself and work with the Masach, then it becomes similar and equal to the force of bestowal. They connect, and on top of the connection between them, there is a feeling of the upper state.

We are the force of the desire. Nothing was created but a desire. There is the Light, the force of bestowal, and there is a desire, the force of receiving. We can make our force of desire resemble the force of bestowal. Then these two forces will not contradict one another but will mutually connect, and in this connection we will discover ourselves in the state of the upper force.

Thus the revelation of the Creator, the revelation of the upper force, takes place inside us. We actually become the Creator. So the Creator is called Bo-re (come and see), which means that you discover Him inside you. You change your personal attributes and then these corrected attributes become the revelation of the Creator inside you.

Of course, it is a different lexicon, but everything else is exactly the same, nothing new was invented and there is nothing else here. It is the same science that is expressed not only in these four languages but in an updated manner, by using the terminology of the modern social system.

The first time there was a truly egoistic alienation between people—the desire to separate—was in ancient Babylon. Egoism grew, and this was the reason why people began to distance themselves from others. As they say, they no longer understood each other. It was then that the wisdom of Kabbalah appeared.

It was revealed to one of the priests in ancient Babylon, Abraham, who discovered our dependence on egoism and understood that this egoism started developing on purpose. That was when it abruptly appeared, causing all the nations from ancient Mesopotamia to disperse around the world.

Then the wisdom of Kabbalah was revealed which basically said that people must unite in spite of egoism. This is very difficult and beyond human abilities, but we need to understand that this is the challenge of nature, and we need to act in this way. “If we unite and keep the same unity that we had before the outbreak of egoism,” Abraham preached, “then, all the time, we will rise above egoism. As it grows, we will maintain unity and rise higher.”

So, it is said in the primary sources that in the past all people were like one family. Everyone spoke the same language, everyone understood each other, and everyone was close to each other. They lived a simple life and ate the same food. Even if someone was richer and the other poorer, this was not reflected much in their way of life. Everyone ate dried fish (it was in abundance in Mesopotamia), bread, onions, garlic, and some dairy products. That is all in general. That was all they had, but everyone had it. That is, people had little concern about how to feed themselves. The land was fertile, everything was good, and everyone lived in the same way until the outbreak of egoism.

That is why the wisdom of Kabbalah, revealed by Abraham, is based on the fact that people practically have to live the same way, satisfying their natural needs in the form that the body demands, that is, normally, rationally, and everything else, all the other forces, they should apply to ascend above their egoism.

Abraham spoke about the egoism that began to rise and grow rapidly. It drew someone into business and another one into something else. Everyone wanted to be more than the others, better than others, stronger, more important, and so on. “We must, on the contrary, remain at the same level,” Abraham said, “or, quite possibly, rise, but at the same time in order to improve our life, but equally in order to be a community, as a family.” People in a family care about everyone equally so that everyone has what he needs relative to his requirements, and, for all the rest, forces are to be applied only to rise above egoism. This attitude toward our development is the basis of Kabbalah.

However, the majority did not listen to Abraham and they followed the egoistic path of development with the exception of the group of people that he had gathered. It was ruled by the laws of bestowal. People provided each other with the necessary things, and at the same time, everyone ascended according to his abilities, and all the other forces were invested in being interconnected with others. If people act in this way, then the upper force of nature (we can call it the Creator) begins to be revealed in the relationships between them, and then they sense the next level of existence—not the still, vegetative, and animate nature that we feel today, constantly caring about the well-being of the body, its pleasures, satisfaction, comfort—but the next level.

This level is called the “human” or “Adam,” from the word “similar” (Domeh), similar to the Creator, to the upper force, the force of bestowal and love, which is actually inside nature that manages, drives, and develops it. This is what was discovered then and what was hidden for thousands of years and is beginning to be revealed again today.

The last Kabbalists of our time are Baal HaSulam, Rabash, you and me. Moreover, we are not just revealing it as they did. We are beginning to realize it, and, of course, the realization is carried out not from the level of ancient Babylon where people were like one family on the same level. Then, perhaps everything was simple but obviously further history was to be different.

Humanity needs to develop its egoism and develop it well up to the realization that it really is ruining us. Instead of all the goods that it had promised us, we find ourselves lost, defective, having achieved nothing. We try to live better and in the end spend all those years on this, all those opportunities that we have in this state, in our lives.

So today, we start with a completely different level, an egoistic, complete, final level of the world’s development. Actually, egoism will grow much more, but on the next level, people already will begin to be engaged in unity and proceed to the next stage of development.

Question: I would like to thank you in the name of all the friends in the area of Siberia for the great efforts that you are investing in order to participate in conventions, for it’s not at all easy to travel such great distances. Thank you very much for investing so much attention in us.

Answer: This is my obligation. If there are people whom this interests and if the person yearns to change himself and the world, then I must do this. I thank all who accepted the invitation to come to Krasnoyarsk to gather together to make a leap forward, to discover a higher state, and then convey it to others.

We see that the world is in a difficult, unfavorable state and that it constantly wanders to and fro on the threshold of the abyss that is gaping before it in many areas. At present the world is deteriorating economically, politically, militarily, and ecologically and the condition is only becoming more severe. I don’t want to be a prophet of doom, but I already spoke about this ten years ago.

Therefore it’s up to us to try to inject into the world a positive stream in every way possible, a potential, that in spite of it all, we will open the eyes of people and will make it possible to reach the same goal not through suffering but through personal change for the better, with the help of equivalence of form with nature, with the Creator. So I will fly to Siberia because large, fresh new forces are gathering, and this is very important.

This area is very important to me. In my opinion it is prepared to provide freshness, inner potential, vigor, and seriousness to our yearning, as no other place in the world will be prepared to do! In spite of it all, the area of Siberia is so pristine that it will be ready to add all this to us; our world group requires this very much.

Come let us thank in advance all the participants in the convention for having seriously invested so much time preparing for it. I thank them in the name of the whole world because what they are doing is the greatest addition to the global connection between us.

We are happy to join what they are organizing and we will try to be together with them body and soul. I am sure that it will be a wonderful convention and that we will be able to feel what the next stage will be as a result of all that we have done until today. I truly hope that in Krasnoyarsk we will realize what we achieved and felt in the last men’s convention because the people began to go through unfamiliar inner experiences of connection with that which is higher.
