Question: What is the best exercise to conduct for building  integral education for married couples? How much can a person invest himself in this training and talk about his condition, or is it better that he should act in the framework of a rigid program? Let’s say that, for fifteen minutes, we enter into the desired state, after that, we do exercises for twenty minutes, or is it possible to vary this according to the desires of the person?

Answer: No, I would not make it possible for people to disperse. However, if you want them to speak a little about something personal, then it is possible to do this, but only in particular frameworks. In principle, we are interested in their experiencing all this within.

The long expressions of a person’s feelings don’t interest us, especially the full, long stories. One can speak beautifully and another cannot say more than two sentences, even though he has experienced no less than the others. Therefore, I would not do this. We need the people to reach a state of shared clarification on the question in that they complete each other with their answers and even without understanding the question.

First, the people in a circle must clarify the topic. Suppose that we ask them some question, and they begin to repeat it, each in his own style, and you see how this question transforms into something completely new and different.

People will understand this. They will feel and receive the same question in ten different forms. After that, we repeat the same question, and they begin to discuss it.

I always insist that the discussions to be very relevant. Even though they will begin two or three minutes later, the first respondent can digest the question and think about the answer. Give him two minutes before responding since the others will have time to think, and he doesn’t. However, this should be a short summary of the feelings, not of the thoughts, but of the feelings.

After everyone has completed each other, we can ask them to reach some kind of common opinion because in the first round, each one expresses his understanding of the question and, after that, the entire understanding of the answer, and now it is necessary to formulate one unique question and give one unique answer to it. Can we do this or not?

Question: Do you recommend doing this with every question?

Answer: No, we give this to them as an example. However, in principle, we simply ask a question, and it doesn’t even matter what people answer. The main thing is that it will be worked out.

However, we construct our next question on every previous question, and if people find the right answer for it, then they are already proceeding correctly.

Question: It could happen that a person who participates the life of an integral society for some time in suddenly will lose interest in it. The loss of interest is temporary; but the person might not survive this, and we lose him permanently. How is it possible to help him in this state?

Answer: I think that an integral society gradually will transform into an effective one not only on the spiritual level, but also on the physical level. The person must receive from there not only warmth, stimulation, inspiration, and positive emotions, but also physical support. To do this, we must unite in mutual aid and each one must feel that it actually gives him unity with the others in practice.

After all, we still live in this world. We understand that in an integral society, it will be easier for us. We will become healthier, less susceptible to illnesses, and will better tolerate all kinds of problems, the blows of fate. However, is it possible to add a mental attitude like this through material arrangement?

Here, we come to the next stage: Can we create societies like these that truly will help one another? To do this, there are various possibilities depending upon the conditions.

Each one of us works where he is an expert in some particular area—let’s help each other by providing specialized care.

Question: Could there be a state like this where people will become dependent upon each other on the physical level, and then this would hold them in an integral society?

Answer: No, what must hold them is the feeling of creating a completely new society that is founded above our ego, not on a competitive basis, but rather on the basis of connection.

Question: Where is the line between integral mutual help and protectionism like it was in the Soviet Union? If you have connection, you are a man. You have a dentist, people in a store, a non-public mutual community.

Answer: In an integral society, we are not locked onto ourselves. We want everyone to be like that. The larger our numbers, the more we will be able to pay attention to each other, to help one another.

We are an organization without any benefit for itself, completely voluntary, understanding how to educate children today, how to maintain the familial framework, how to be in a good mood, and not deteriorate into alcoholism and drugs, and how to maintain ourselves in the right spirit. Since you are alive, so live more comfortably, in a good environment. This can be done without any material investment, even with what there is today. We can attain states like these when, in our unity, we suddenly see a material benefit in.

If we unite and declare ourselves to be a single organism (we have common purchasing power, common needs, common reserves for purchases), then we can economize in this. For particular circles in the population, this is very important. You can establish a warehouse of unneeded things that can be for mutual use. This is very effective. It is possible to organize groups for our children for nothing. Without special investments, it is possible to do things like these that otherwise would cost much of our means. It is all in our hands.

Question: What is the difference between “round” and “linear” discussion, implementation, or decision? What do interactions between linear efforts and circular integration mean in the integral method?

Answer: It means that all of us are found in linear interactions for the sake of connection in a circle. I invest effort that is directed towards the center of the circle in order to become rounded, to disappear, and to melt into it. With this I acquire an idea, a thought, and a general common desire.

There is nothing integral in me now. Integrality is created in a connection between us. Therefore my efforts are linear.

Question: We have people who are used to taking an initiative upon themselves and implementing actions individually.

Answer: Implementation cannot be individual! A team has been gathered that has accrued an integral connection, power, and warmth from the group. It goes and transmits this feeling of mutual connection to another place, wanting this drop of shared unity that they create through their desires and thoughts to gradually flow to others.

What is the idea of an individual person here? What can he do alone? He needs to be a carrier of our integral virus  and nothing more.

Imagine how ticks travel around with the help of dogs. Each one of us, in general, needs to be like a dog upon which “ticks” of “integral viruses” sit that are transferred from our group to another group.

Question: But there isn’t anything integral in me….

Answer: How could there not be? You are included in a group, you see! If there were nothing integral in you, then it would be impossible for you to go anywhere. You would fail! And what will become of us, what will happen with those you come to? Will there be a collective global failure?

Question: Suppose we gather together, that is all well and good for us. How can we go out to the 99% of the population and transmit these wonderful “ticks” to them?

Answer: It is necessary to agree and establish from the start how and what we are doing, to create a plan of action before going out to disseminate, to discuss it, approve it, and implement it.

For example, before an excursion of this type, you need to arrange a small practice workshop for us. For example, you tell us facts we already know; it doesn’t matter; you simply practice your first workshop on us as an apprentice, in training. After this, we give suggestions and prompts, laugh at you, correct you, and then you take a few friends with you and you go to disseminate.

Go out to disseminate with at least two people, but preferably three, and even better four; it depends on what society you are going to. You all bear the same responsibility, that is, each one of the friends can replace you at any moment. And so you don’t have anything to fear, and we too, in general, have nothing to fear, because three or four of our friends can fill any gap.

Question: In the framework of integral education is it possible to create a course that teaches us to behave correctly in our bodies, with ourselves, so that on a basis of correct behavior the person can advance onward?

Answer: Only if he will begin to feel happiness through a mutual connection with others. But in the meantime, in a natural way, we can only be connected physically because we have not yet found another virtual level of communication outside of ourselves, even though science already talks about a possibility like this, especially physics and psychology.

Since we exist in a real manner within the body, we are connected with one another through its sensations and comprehend one another in this manner. If we feel that our body becomes a tool through which we reach inner fulfillment, then this will be comprehended by us as a positive tool for this will become a source of happiness, will give us fulfillment.

So then being alive is necessary, to  vitalize, to be healthy and fit. We reach this only through involvement with integral unification through changing a person’s view of himself.

Answer: The right contact is the appearance of a general shared desire in heart and mind. When something shared is created between you and me, not in you from me and not in me from you, rather between us, then a very interesting third component appears which is called “joy.” This feeling is on a level higher than us.

Question: Why is it that a person who works in the enterprise of disseminating the integral method cannot organize his own business? Let’s say he also works in a winery. 

Answer: It’s because his main task will be how to make a profit in the winery.

When I work for some boss and come here, then my head is relatively calm. I live here as a volunteer and hope for the opportunity to work here. However, when I have my own business, this is another matter. We are working toward a time when we will not have private businesses. Rather, there will be joint enterprises.

Question: Suppose that a person works for a particular period as a volunteer. We teach him, he goes through our training program and has an internship with us, and we want to keep him busy. What are the conditions for admission?

Answer: He needs to have been studying with us for a few years. He, our friend, is involved with us in all of our organization’s activities: attends conventions, is occupied in some way with content, volunteers with the dissemination of integral education, and so forth.

We are starting to need and are working toward people leaving their former employment and becoming contractors for integral education. Regardless of whether someone makes integral education their full-time endeavor or remains as a volunteer, anyone engaged in working in integral education will need to sign a contract agreeing that they will completely adhere to our ideology and methodology.

Question: If, for some reason, we are not compatible with each other, can we let a person go?

Answer: If the need for the expertise of the person disappears, as a general rule, we let him go. The reason for dismissal can be a lack of professionalism when the person plays so much that he simply stops working and we cannot do anything. For many months, we wait, encourage him, struggle over him, but we see that he has lost interest, has begun to work in a bad way. So, we separate from him.

He also realizes that he cannot take advantage of mutual funds, for those contributions that we receive from people are intended for integral education. We cannot use them without thinking because they don’t come from our pocket but rather from the common general pocket, and therefore, we are not held responsible for them.

I cannot just take this and give someone a double salary. This is not because there is no money. Rather, it is because I need to check from the aspect of the spiritual point of view. What am I doing with this in regard to those people who earned this money and invested it here? Am I acting correctly? Am I responding to their expectations that this money will be invested for a purposeful goal?

Question: Suppose that a person goes through a ten session course of integral education. In what form can he disseminate this knowledge further?

Answer: I don’t think that a ten session course makes it possible for a person to disseminate further, even if he is a psychologist and comprehends the main idea. In spite of it all, he must think integrally, at least to a particular degree, and not only know how to build a connection with others (perhaps psychologists have this ability), he needs to know towards what he is leading them, in the name of what he is working; otherwise there will be no inner strength. Even if he does everything that you do mechanically, I don’t see any possibility of this getting positive results. Therefore, there is something that he doesn’t have.

So, he will deviate from the way and everything will get mixed up; he will adopt our method and transform it into something else. In spite of it all, he must live the method. Even if a person doesn’t have a “point in the heart,” he still needs to undergo comprehensive training. At the very least, this should be a one year course.

Question: You say that there must be a higher goal for people. They need to live this. In the name of what do they need to disseminate?

Answer: We don’t tell them that the world and the crisis demand this. We explain the structure of the system of creation, the system of interaction between the person and the world. And then it becomes clear to them that the person needs to be constructed precisely in a form like this and not another, that he must be integrated into the general picture of the world, and only then will we reach balance, and only then will we be in the right connection, and only then will we become healthy people in mind and body.

We must bring people to this gradually, not preaching to them but guiding them to illumination. And suddenly it will be clear to them what the reason for all the maladies and problems is: The problem is in our relationship with the unified system of nature. And then they will see toward what the intentions of all their activities must be. From the understanding of the global picture, they will begin to understand what absolute mental health is for example, or what the problems in the family and education are.

All of this must be summed up in balance with nature, in being like it. And to be similar is possible through cooperation, as long as the cooperation is in mutual responsibility, mutual connection, and mutual love.

This can be presented to people as universal harmony, for whose sake they must study and disseminate. I don’t know to what degree it’s possible to speak with them about the soul, even though today nothing is hidden any more.

Question: Must there be something in this goal that directs them toward spirituality?

Answer: For most people it’s not compulsory to aspire to purely spiritual categories. What is important to them is the world as an ideal picture, the harmony of humanity with all of nature. There are people to whom this matters. Nevertheless, they don’t need to reach particular heights. After all, a basic sense of responsibility in regard to humanity to some extent is latent in every person.

If you say: “Donate a dollar so that harmony will dwell in the world,” he will give this dollar. But to sacrifice himself, he will not agree.

Question: What is better to do in conditions where resources are limited? Should one talk about this for two hours to a hundred teachers, let’s say, or bring two teachers to a higher level.

Answer: You cannot be sure that if you work with two for a few months you will get the desired result. And if you light up the eyes of a hundred people, there is hope that at least someone, through our method, will continue to go further.

What is a democracy? The entire nation, comprised of millions of people, gets together, and the people are asked, “What do you want?” Some say that they want football, others say that they want Coca Cola, and they are told, “You will get what you want.” What else can the masses want if they are not educated, if they are not raised up the spiritual ladder? In such a case, democracy leads to regression, degradation. So, what’s so good about it?

Democracy is good only when we make a circle, which means only in a group. This is where the entire world goes wrong. The actual idea of democracy is ideal, but it must be fulfilled only under certain conditions. It is impossible to implement it with the masses, among people who don’t think about tomorrow. So, people don’t go to vote because they don’t care who is elected. They only shout and resent the fact that the government doesn’t do what they want.

Neither those in government at all levels nor the governed people understand what democracy is. This s because it is not in their vessels.; it is in round vessels, which are not suitable for them at all. The people need a king, an authoritarian power. A king feels that, “The state is me; it is all mine!” And he cares about his subjects, that his citizens feel good since they belong to him. He works for the welfare of everyone in the nation, as it is all his.

So, if a nation exists egoistically, it needs a king. However, if a state already advances spiritually, it needs a democracy. They are opposites: “circles” (Igulim) and “straight line” (Yosher), the two forms of the vessel. We shouldn’t confuse one with the other since neither is better or worse. We see that democracy doesn’t work, and that it is just nice words. Free elections and freedom of speech in the media are all just toys. In fact, the leaders of society do what they must do.

Question: How can we explain to social services organizations that we work with that in order to internalize the integral method, nothing will work for them without us? Is it possible, for example, to tell them that we have some special characteristics or knowledge?

Answer: You don’t have any unique characteristics. You simply have created and are in a collective through which you are powered by its integral sum of knowledge, strength and emotion. There are numerous psychological articles on this subject; it is not mysticism or religion. So, you possess these characteristics. Without the collective, you are nothing on your own. If they don’t have a collective like this, then they too are nothing.

It doesn’t matter how you talk with them or on what you base your words. Everything depends only on this: How they will get inner warmth from you. If this will begins to sprout in them, if they can listen to each other, talk with each other, and cry with each other within their circle, then you can work quietly with them, and then they will understand that you are the bearer of a very good method.
