Question: You say that we don’t need to correct anyone in order to unite, what does that mean? We have witnessed terrible atrocities by murderers and criminals lately. Don’t we have to correct these people?

Answer: No, we should only let such people understand that they need everyone else, and everyone should remain the way they are and should only have to connect and unite. If a person hates someone, he has to ascend above the feeling of hate and try not to remove it or get rid of it by killing others, since if he does so he doesn’t get rid of the hate, but rather intensifies it even more. It it is written: “love will cover all the sins.” Sins refer to the differences between us, which remain but which we cover by love.

See how nature works: minus and plus connect; molecules are formed and their combinations give birth to different creatures, protein bodies, etc. All the differences, the oppositeness and the contradictions between them remain, but they know how to connect correctly in order to complement one another. This is the whole secret.

We have to do the same on the human level, in our consciousness, and then our life will be wonderful. It is actually the connection between all of mankind who are so different from one another that the upper state is revealed. We will discover the future world, life according to the soul not according to our corporeal body, above our protein corporeal life. It is actually by our thoughts, desires, and our different attributes that the one body called the soul, which is one for all, is built when they complement each other in order to connect. Then everyone begins to feel the upper state, the upper world.

Question: What does an earthly family with a corrected spiritual relationship look like?

Answer: It is difficult to say since we have not yet seen such examples in our lives. For now, we are still in a state of breakage, in exile.

Therefore, since the time of Rabbi Akiva, after the destruction of the Temple, we know nothing about such families who would correspond to the corrected spiritual relationship with the Creator.

Moreover, it is written about how Kabbalists of the past suffered because of their wives who often had very difficult personalities and presented many grievances and demands. Kabbalists accepted it as inevitable and a consequence of the breakage and exile in which we exist.

A spiritual couple should feel as if it exists in one body, in common agreement and understanding, completing each other in a fusion of minds, hearts, and mutual intentions. Everything that exists in the body of the other, in their mind and heart, I accept as my own thoughts and feelings.

And these are not just nice words but are truly felt even on the most earthly, physiological level. If something is hurting in your partner, then you feel this pain in your body, even if they do not tell you about it. This is a complete union of bodies in accordance with the union of souls.

We will come to this state as soon as we begin to correct ourselves in relation to our general love for one another.

Question: Everyone is very familiar with opposite concepts such as light and darkness, love and hate, and other theories regarding human existence. Are these pluses and minuses really necessary?

Answer: The point is that we exist only in a minus, in the negative force, as it is written, “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice.” The Torah is a special Light that is opposite from the ego, which we can draw and thus balance egoism.

Unfortunately, we don’t do that and this is the reason that our world exists only under the influence of the negative egoistic force. We have to complement our nature by discovering the other positive force that isn’t part of our world.

Our world advances only by the force of the ego, while we have to draw the positive force that balances it with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah. Then in the balance and harmony between the two forces we will begin to feel the upper world, which means the next level of recognition and attainment of our existence. This is how we can reach a state that is beyond our body, which is called existence in the soul. Our body, on the other hand, is a form of existence in our egoistic attribute only.

Question: The Creator’s name is love, which tells us about Him. When we love, we become like Him. When we die, we disappear and cannot love anymore. Is the Creator’s love eternal or not?

Answer: There is no death but a change in our perception of reality from the perception through the body, seemingly as if through a corporeal body, to a direct perception in the desire called a soul.

When we acquire the connection with the soul along with this perception we smoothly transcend to the next form of perception. The connection with the soul is acquired through our love of mankind. But this is not what is meant by love now, in our egoism,; it is outside ourselves, outside egoism. Kabbalah teaches about love and it and the Creator are perceived (in the group of friends).

A person subconsciously thinks about death constantly. Everything that he builds and creates is intended to somehow nullify death.

He aspires to invent something, to build, to discover, to overcome, to do, and to hold onto his eternity. This is the fundamental motif that penetrates all of our existence.

If we were eternal or we had no sensation of the end, we would die and would not know that we died. Then we would live completely differently.

We would live full of inspiration, wholeheartedly, and we wouldn’t feel compelled to think about the end. Our subconscious feeling of the inevitability of death is very important to us.

Question: Is this good or bad?

Answer: It depends on how the person uses this reality. Without it, we would be beasts that are integrated completely in every moment of our existence because if there were no end, then the remaining sensation is, “If I exist only here, I must get everything out of this moment.”

But when we feel that the end is concealed somewhere, we try to abolish it. We distract ourselves, plunge headfirst into science, into creative search, into the creation of some works, etc., and all of this is to prove that we have overcome death. In principle, this is what drives us forward.

This is derived from the depths of consciousness and is realized not only on the level of the beast, but also on other levels, up to the highest spiritual levels in which everything is resolved in another form. There, a person begins to discover life within the soul, and therefore becomes independent of the life of the body.

If in addition to my physiological body I discover my spiritual body, called the “soul,” and begin to feel myself as existing within it, then simultaneously I feel how much my beastly body is temporary and finite and is obliged to ultimately die, again becoming inert matter.

Question: What in me is afraid of death?

Answer: My physical body is not afraid of death, the ego is. It is afraid of not being able to fill itself and raise itself to the level of simple existence.

The matter is that when our egoistic desires receive pleasure, then death is already felt. In the actions of the ego, in its use, it is felt that everything has ended in the rejection of the light from within it, meaning, its death. Thus it can never be filled. Each filling for the ego, is to come closer to death.

Question: What is there after death?

Answer: Nothing. The physical body ceases to exist, but the Reshimot (spiritual information) remain. On the corporeal level they have realized something in a certain way, at a certain time, in certain circumstances.

But their spiritual level of implementation has not yet taken place since a person has not yet reached this level. Therefore, he has to go through different circumstances.

After one begins the next incarnation of the soul in a newly born body, then again a long line of growth is carried out, during which the unconscious correction of Reshimot is carried out. And then again a person is given the opportunity to reach the level of development of his soul, meaning reaching the level of desire to bestow as against the desire to receive.

Question: What advice will help an ordinary person overcome the fear of death?

Answer: A person must overcome the fear of death as he does in everyday life, by seemingly forgetting about this thought. But he still constantly compares himself people of other age groups, thus seeing himself as older than he really is. He has infinite accounts with his end, and there is nothing he can do about it.The only thing that can help him is to ascend to the level of bestowal where he begins to discover his next level of existence and rises to a new dimension. The old dimension, however, which is based only on the temporary biological existence of matter, will disappear. If a person reaches the next state, nothing ties him down to this world any longer since now death isn’t special anymore but simply a byproduct.

Question: Won’t there be death in the future?

Answer: Every person, and gradually all of humanity, will reach the upper level of the mortal world and an eternal soul. The biological death of the corporeal body remains, but the spiritual body we acquire is eternal because it is in the desire to bestow, outside of one’s self. A person feels all the transformations not inside himself but by going through others, and therefore, being in absolute bestowal, he has no basis that can die. By giving to others, everyone feels his life in others and not inside himself.

There is no matter or essence that needs to die in the spiritual world because you continuously acquire more and more new vessels in which you feel your existence, your life. However, they are not yours. Once you fill them, you fill them as if they were yours. When you do something for your small child, for example, you feel that life is much greater than if you did something for your own sake. Therefore, the feeling of your own body gradually fades, grows further away, and takes place in the feeling of life in others.

Question: If the same souls reincarnate from generation to generation in new bodies, then why don’t I remember my forefather Abraham who lives in me, or Moshe, or Isaac, or Jacob?

Answer: We don’t sense Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob because we lost desires that we previously had. After the shattering occurred, all spiritual desires disappeared leaving only a small primitive egoism that grows in us.

In each generation, the same souls are reincarnated, but each time new informational genes (Reshimot) unfold. That’s why the population of earth continues growing. This is done to facilitate the process of correction. One body is unable to bear a large number of informational genes that have to be corrected; therefore, they are split among multiple bodies.

Baal HaSulam gives the example of the parable about a king who wanted to relocate his treasury. He couldn’t trust his subjects because they were all thieves and egoists.

So, he distributed his treasure among many people, giving them each a coin that was not worth stealing. People brought the coins to a new place and returned them to the treasury.

In this way we correct ourselves: each one is given a small part of the soul that requires a small correction that we must do.

Question: Does it mean that the world population will continue growing?

Answer: It depends on how successfully we reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah. If we don’t correct ourselves by our own freewill, we will face wars that will significantly reduce the population. Corrections that happen as a result of battles and wars are extremely hard and are accompanied by severe hardships in this world.

However, if we advance correctly, we will rapidly unite all of humanity as “one man with one heart.” This will complete the process of correction and a new era in the new world will begin.
