Increase Spiritual Deficiency

528.03Question: How can we make a spiritual deficiency as tangible and intense as our corporeal deficiencies?

Answer: It depends only on you. If you want it, you will feel how immense your desire for spirituality is. You just need to reveal it.

Question: Can we create this “really wanting it” by inflating the importance of each other?

Answer: Yes, but only by being connected with your friends.

Question: How can we cultivate spiritual deficiencies (Hisaron) in the ten?

Answer: It is simple. Try to strengthen your desire for unity, the desire for spirituality so you will receive what you desire. You increase your desires for spirituality by discussing this with each other, as it says: “Each one shall help his friend.”

Morality Or Tasting The Light Of Torah

622.01That cause sometimes comes through inheritance of qualities from the forefathers, who revoked these pleasures either through morals or because they tasted the light of Torah and saw that it was not worthwhile to turn to the deficiency and desire for these pleasures (Rabash, Notes 809, “Wholeness in Life”).

Question: What is the difference between canceling pleasure through morality or through tasting the light?

Answer: If I encounter some problems and try to bring the upper light closer to correct them, then, of course, this is the right action.

With the help of the upper light, I rise above the problems that are revealed within me and move forward.

Question: Does morality help in revealing the light or, on the contrary, hinder it?

Answer: Morality do not help because the path we are following is a completely different one, not the common human one.

How Can We Work in Joy Every Day?

284Question: How can we constantly hold on to the realization that the path that the Creator has given us is the best and how can we work in joy every day?

Answer: You need to educate yourself, repeat every day that you must make sure that the path is right, and you can receive joy at every step.

Question: But joy does not always happen, and it turns out that this action is through force?

Answer: Yes, by force. This is what is said.

All the same, you should be glad that you are on the way to the Creator and are getting closer to Him although you do not feel it yet.

But when you complete the efforts that you have to make, your whole present state will be revealed to you, and you will be in joy, in understanding, in feeling.

Questions about Spiritual Work—136

281.02Question: A big gap is growing between my mind and my heart. The more I strive for bestowal in my mind, the more I feel I do not have this desire, and this causes great suffering. I do not know how to move forward.

Answer: The Creator gives you this specifically so you can strive to Him with great zeal in prayer.

Question: What does it mean: Malchut expands to the border of light, and acquires and absorbs its qualities without any restrictions?

Answer: Since Malchut can carry the qualities of light through itself, it causes such an expansion in itself that it takes in all the light of infinity.

Question: Sometimes you want to pray for the whole ten, and sometimes for each one individually. What pleases the Creator more?

Answer: When you pray for everyone, for the whole group.

Realization of the Light

276.02Question: You described a state where sometimes you are so filled with the Creator that you cannot move. How can one reach this state?

Answer: This occurs when the Creator is satisfied with your basic request, and you do not have the strength to move, i.e.,  do any internal actions with the light to help you move forward. But when you receive the light, it becomes clear that you have received elevation from the Creator and now you must figure out how to realize this.

The realization of the light consists of receiving it to bestow, being filled with it, and using it to rise higher, and incorporating new Kelim (vessels). These other desires have yet to participate in receiving for the sake of the Creator. Thus one has a new level of ascent.

Question: How does one incorporate these additional Kelim?

Answer: He simply includes them within himself, and that is it. There are no special wise actions here.

Moving toward the Next Degree

263Question: Do I understand correctly that not receiving pleasure from the light means moving forward?

Answer: No, not receiving pleasure from the light does not yet mean moving forward.

Moving to the following degree means revealing the Creator and His light even more, preparing yourself more for this, and connecting with others to form a more collective Kli (vessel) so that you can absorb all of it.

608.02Question: When the light comes, it fills us. How can we resist enjoying it? Where can we find the strength to resist the pleasure?

Answer: Imagine that you must direct the received light toward the Creator.
Even if joy and pleasure do not go away, you do not need to avoid them. You just need to use them correctly.

Question: How can one reach awe?

Answer: Reaching awe depends on how you relate to what you receive from the Creator.

Doors Are Always Open

592.01Question: How do Kabbalists protect themselves from the negative influences of detractors?

Answer: Not in any way! Why should I protect myself from them? At what level do they work? They run around, shout “cock-a-doodle-doo” like little roosters, and that is it. Nothing else. What can they do? They will not jump to my level, but let them cluck at their level.

This was the case in the time of all Kabbalists. I do not take it to heart. How many detractors did my teacher have with whom, among others, I fought! So what?

The Creator specifically does this to distance the Kabbalist from this rubbish, from this world, so that he does not even think to deal with them and does his inner work. It is a help when you are hated.

Question: Does this “rooster” rise?

Answer: He is gradually changing! He is becoming a man!

In that case, I am ready to hug him! It does not matter what happened before! We all used to be like this! But now he has changed! Now he is rising, trying to get closer to everyone, to unite, to study the program of creation, implement it, and help others. I will accept him with pleasure!

The past does not matter at all! We all get our diapers dirty in our early childhood. But now we are growing. Everyone who goes higher used to be worse, more harmful, nastier, more obnoxious than others. I understand that perfectly well.

I am ready to accept anyone, and it does not matter to me what happened before. Therefore, I do not pay attention to who has gone where, whether he returns or not, what he thought before he came to us. I am not interested in that. When you come back, you are welcome. The door is always open in and out.

Question: Does it harm that he brings thoughts from outside?

Answer: No, it is a clarification. It is a correction.

Comment: You have a category of students who are constantly in an unstable state: here and there.

My Response: Well what can we do? It is not me but the Creator who controls them. Such are the qualities of these students. I have to endure like any parent who suffers from the pranks of their youngsters.

Question: But you have so many students. How can you tolerate everyone? Where does the strength come from?

Answer: But I do not suffer. I know that is how it should be. My every day starts in a new way. I am not angry with anyone. I can scream, lose my temper, but this is just an outburst of energy, nothing else. Inside, I love them all.
