Morality Or Tasting The Light Of Torah
That cause sometimes comes through inheritance of qualities from the forefathers, who revoked these pleasures either through morals or because they tasted the light of Torah and saw that it was not worthwhile to turn to the deficiency and desire for these pleasures (Rabash, Notes 809, “Wholeness in Life”).
Question: What is the difference between canceling pleasure through morality or through tasting the light?
Answer: If I encounter some problems and try to bring the upper light closer to correct them, then, of course, this is the right action.
With the help of the upper light, I rise above the problems that are revealed within me and move forward.
Question: Does morality help in revealing the light or, on the contrary, hinder it?
Answer: Morality do not help because the path we are following is a completely different one, not the common human one.
