Where Are Hell And Heaven Revealed?

565.02The upper court does not judge the animalistic body whose death does not change anything. This is a judgment on one’s own egoism; a person judges himself and begins to feel that all the past within him must perish in order for him to be reborn and become different.

This is why when he evaluates himself he feels as if he is going through hell. This is written in The Book of Zohar, not in Dante’s poem.

Question: Does it mean that a person determines hell and heaven when he judges himself during his lifetime?

Answer: Of course! He feels his deeds, actions, and qualities like hell and heaven. And if he has not disengaged himself from egoism, then there is no heaven or hell for him. He has nothing to compare either of them with. He is just an animal.

When he breaks away from egoism, he sees his past egoistic states as hell, and his future altruistic connection with the Creator as heaven.

“What Would A World Without Privacy Look Like?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What would a world without privacy look like?

It would be like we are all naked in front of each other.

While it might sound terrible, because we currently count on having all kinds of protections over ourselves, when we would remove our protections, then we would become free. That is, we would feel no need to lock ourselves away from each other, and we could open ourselves up and feel unashamed in front of each other.

We can be free either by having nothing or by having everything. Moreover, we can cover any feeling of insecurity by connecting to the positive force of nature and inviting it into our lives. According to the law that guides our reality—the law of equivalence of form—by adjusting our attitudes to each other so that they become similar to the attitude of the upper force of nature toward us, then we would feel ourselves in the same boundless state as nature.

However, we are currently in an opposite state to nature. We are egoists while nature is altruistic. Therefore, having our privacy removed currently seems like a nightmare to most. It all depends on how well connected we are: If we realize our connections harmoniously, where we each support and encourage each other to construct altruistic attitudes to each other above our innate egoistic drives, then we would feel completely secure, safe and confident, and we would have no fear of losing our privacy.

Based on the video, “How Would a World Without Privacy Look?” with Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman and Oren Levi. Written/edited by students of Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman.

Should I Be Afraid Of Curses?

051Question: Is it necessary to be afraid of curses?

Answer: It is necessary. You need to make people either not think about you at all or think well of you. They should feel that you are kind.

Question: And this will be protection from curses?

Answer: It depends on what state and what kind of society you are in. If you do all you can do to move humanity towards good… Naturally, there are many people who will see this as a movement toward evil. There’s nothing you can do about that.

Question: From the point of view of physics, the evil eye and curses do not seem to exist. But there is a theory of waves: if a person puts an evil eye on you, then it changes some physical parameters in the body, and the person really feels bad. Is this really so?

Answer: These are our desires, and desires are, in general, our physical actions.

Eternal Peace—Universe Of Harmony

275Question: The perception of reality implies that the whole world is made of opposites that are constantly at war. If earlier wars were to conquer, recently they carry a character of enforcing peace. Is it possible to establish peace by force?

Answer: Never. No way. Peace can be achieved if you strive for it with great effort. Peace is a union of antagonistic opposites under a common roof, we have to know how to achieve it.

The fact is that in the state of peace all the internal contradictions remain. They cannot be avoided, erased, annulled, or excluded. They can only be in harmony with each other, in mutual complementation. Only then can this state be called peace.

We have to constantly care for it and fortify it because the contradictions will not disappear. That is, peace is a dynamic state, a state of internal dynamic equilibrium of opposites.

Question: Is it possible to achieve eternal peace?

Answer: To the extent you uphold this state, so it will remain.

Question: Does this process have an end?

Answer: In the end, you will constantly reinforce peace, praise and elevate it. What’s wrong with that? It will be a constantly evolving universe of harmony.

The Blessing Of A Kabbalist

630.2Question: You say there are no material punishments and curses. As long as we remain in our egoistic desires and exist in them, this is the punishment and a curse. But what if you want to bless someone? What does it mean?

Answer: I can try to bring you closer to me and convince you with words, actions, and influence so that you appreciate the greatness of the forces of bestowal and love and try to connect with them.

Question: So, if I bless someone, does it mean that I wish him or even help him to reveal the upper force, the Creator?

Answer: Of course. This is the only blessing.

Question: Is there such a thing as blessing from the Creator? How can we feel it?

Answer: Usually it is still passed through people. If not through them, then a person does not feel in what way it comes to him. He sees only the consequence.

How Can You Evaluate Yourself?

49.04Question: There is such a thing as judgment day (in Hebrew, Yom Kippur). What does a person judge on this day?

Answer: This day is celebrated as a judgment day purely symbolically. On Yom Kippur a person must consider his own actions and be able to evaluate them as sinful. This is given to special individuals and not even in every generation.

And everything else are just theatrical performances from century to century played out among religious Jews.

Question: Your teacher Rabash says that the word “prayer” (“Tefila“) comes from the verb “LeHitpallel” – “to judge oneself.” From the point of view of Kabbalah is prayer judging?

Answer: Yes. A person judges himself and sees that his actions to some extent were absolutely unlawful, wrong. But this manifests itself only to the extent that he receives a certain fraction of the upper light. And in accordance with this light, with its properties, he can evaluate himself.

Justice Of The Future

265Question: In the article “The Last Generation,” Baal HaSulam touched upon the topic of justice in the future. I am interested in your opinion on this. I would like to know: will there be justice in the future generation?

Answer: In the future, a person will judge himself by knowing and understanding how to carry out this judgment upon himself. Everything will exist only for the sake of the common, collective good. And the so-called courts will help everyone rise above themselves and connect with each other and with the Creator.

They will allow each one to see at what level he is, what he has yet to correct, and which connections with others can lead to his correction.

Question: If the motivation of a person living in the last generation is to feel closeness to the Creator, to the quality of bestowal, and to become like Him in qualities, then can it happen that it is the respect he receives from society that will fuel him and not the very merging with the Creator?

Answer: It is basically the same thing.

Question: It turns out that I work for respect from society?

Answer: No, that is an absolutely egoistic reward. What is meant here is quite different.

I work for the society and I am ready to do anything for it. But in order to give my egoism the energy to work, I need to get fuel from this society. Therefore, I do everything I can to get a reward from it. And the reward is to receive energy from it so that I can give everything to society beyond my egoism.

Question: It turns out that the courts should not judge but educate a person?

Answer: Of course. They should engage in his spiritual advancement and create the right intention in a person.

Question: Do you think this will happen in the future?

Answer: This can happen even today. Let’s hope so.
