We Are An Ancient Babylonian Family

laitman_577Question: Can a person who adheres to the principle, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” be considered a part of the people of Israel even if he doesn’t ethnically belong to these people?

Answer: In the Bnei Baruch International Academy of Kabbalah, nearly two million people of all different races and nationalities study, and all are representatives of ancient Babylon who are now beginning to gather under the concept of unity because otherwise humanity will not be able to survive.

It is precisely because we are bringing the principle of unity to the world that this ideology is considered as something unique that belongs only to the Jews, but in fact, it belongs to all of Babylon, to all of humanity.

So, when we openly disseminate it to the world, they receive it well, and people come to us without feeling that they are foreigners. On the contrary, they feel a kinship with us and certainly not in any way inferior.

The fact is that all of humanity comes from ancient Babylon when suddenly the opposition between the dominant king Nimrod and a Babylonian priest named Abraham emerged. Nimrod believed it was necessary to develop capitalism, that is,  to advance through egoism, and Abraham said humanity had reached a state in which it needed to unite above egoism, otherwise it would destroy itself.

The people who joined Abraham and whom he took out of Babylon became historically known as the Jewish people. Nimrod’s policy led to the dispersion and settlement of all of the rest of the Babylonians all over the globe.

Thus the egoistic principle softened since people were separated from each other and no longer in such close contact with each other. And so humanity distanced itself from the idea of unity for 3,500 years. Today, we are again gradually uniting again around the globe as we are discovering the interdependence between us and the egoistic opposition to each other—that is, we have come to the same Babylon.

And we can’t do anything. Here also an alternative appears before us: either we cruelly fight with each other (Kabbalists wrote about the possibility of two more world wars, including nuclear force), or we succeed in explaining to people that there is no other choice but connection and unity.

The still, vegetative, and animate parts of nature are in correct mutual interaction. Only our egoism forces opposition between them. Everything depends upon people. Therefore, we are compelled—either by the rod or consciously—to reach full mutual cooperation between us as one single body.

Preventing The Zohar’s Predictions

Laitman_065Question: How did The Book of Zohar foresee all the events taking place now if it was written in the second century of the Common Era?

Answer: Even though The Book of Zohar was written two thousand years ago, its authors were people who felt all of the natural processes that moved, were moving, and would drive humanity.

These processes are concepts we learn along the axis of time. But in fact, time doesn’t exist in spiritual attainment; if a person rises above it, he can see everything that happens in the world from beginning to end.

If a person is corrected and his civilization is corrected, the adverse events predicted by The Book of Zohar will not have to happen. Without correction, the severe forces of nature will put pressure on all of humanity to lead us to achieve correction. Therefore, The Zohar describes how everything will happen in the world if a person doesn’t begin to mitigate these forces.

Currently, we are still far from establishing harmonious relations between us that will make it possible to soften these hard forces that are pressuring our development, therefore everything The Book of Zohar predicted two thousand years ago is materializing.

With the help of the Creator we will succeed in preventing the realization of the prophecies of The Zohar.

Reading An Employee’s Personal Correspondence Is Legal

Laitman_161Question: The European Court of Human Rights ruled that an employer may read the personal correspondence of employees if the correspondence is carried out during working hours.

The decision was made while investigating the case of the Romanian engineer Bogdan Barbulescu when it became clear that, during working hours, he was carrying out correspondence of a personal nature on the work computer.

Answer: What this is like is if I were to be working on a particular machine and while at work I made items from the employer’s material on the side and then sold them. It is the same thing here. I must use my work computer only to perform tasks the employer gives, not for my personal purposes.

However, there are cases in which this is necessary, for example in the context of problems in the family or if one of my relatives is seriously ill and things such as that, then it is another matter. Yet, if this is repeated regularly and has no relation to urgent matters, why should I be dealing with such things at work?

This is called theft. I am stealing the time and resources of my employer by sending personal correspondence. This should not be. The Romanian engineer was fired by the rules. An employer has the right to read and know everything that is in his custody. The computers are his property and so is the work time of the employees.

The eight hours that a person spends in the workplace belong to the employer, except for agreed upon breaks that he can go out to drink coffee or even write that personal correspondence. But it is only during this time and only if the employer allows it. Then it is not considered theft but is included in an agreement with the employer.

Going Beyond The Body

laitman_938_02Question: You are a Kabbalist, and I am not. In what way is your level different from mine?

Answer: A person engaged in the wisdom of Kabbalah begins to discover new possibilities for feeling the world, not within oneself, but outside oneself.

Usually we feel what enters us and is processed in our feelings and mind. We feel this ready-made internal picture. This is a method for understanding the world of sensations in our bodies, and we live in the world without imagining that another world exists.

In fact, the spiritual world is absolutely different. But we cannot go beyond the framework of the body to experience the true reality. The wisdom of Kabbalah allows you to do this because, when we cooperate mutually with one another, we build a completely different sense between us. So, this method is called, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

When we begin to enter into contact with each other, at the same time, we go out of ourselves and get the opportunity to feel everything that is outside of us. That is when we begin to see the world, undisturbed by our properties,  eternal and perfect.

We must rise to this level and exist in it, because it is the next stage of our development, not the physical stage that we have already completed, but the spiritual world.
