Angels Are Forces

laitman_741_02The Torah, “Numbers” 22:22: God’s wrath flared because he was going, and an angel of the Lord stationed himself on the road to thwart him, and he was riding on his she-donkey, and his two servants were with him.

There is only one law in nature that refers to all of the levels of existence called the law of love and bestowal. The Torah calls the individual forces of this law “angels.”

The law of gravity, for example, can be described as an angel that sits inside the earth and catches everything that is in the air and on the surface of the earth and pulls it to the ground.

A person feels angels as positive or negative forces because a person can measure and feel a certain phenomenon in his senses only compared to a phenomenon that is opposite to it such as light and darkness, cold and heat, bitterness and sweetness, strength and weakness, and so on. This is how every phenomenon appears in nature because everything must be balanced.

A person also exists opposite from the Creator at first. Although the Creator is concealed from us, we measure everything in relation to Him. This is our nature, and therefore, it is actually in this oppositeness that we feel we exist.

Different Fates, One Goal

Laitman_115_04Question: Why were each of us given a different fate?

Answer: It is because the eight billion people who populate this planet are an integral system in itself that is made of ten Sefirot. Ten Sefirot is the system of humanity, a powerful system that has ten components, and is one whole and unique which includes all of us and all of our attributes.

Different-Faiths-One-Goal

Kabbalists study and explore the system: who is in it, which part he belongs to, how the nations connect within it, and how it can be led to total integral unity. Then, all of humanity will be balanced with nature that surrounds us, and we all will ascend to the next level of our evolution, to another dimension.

A person who studies the wisdom of Kabbalah and perceives it, sees these ten Sefirot. On the one hand, he is incorporated in them, in their action, and at the same time, he still is tied to humanity by his feet and must care about its ascent.

The System From Which We Glean The Wisdom

laitman_629_1The Torah, “Numbers,” 22:7 – 22:11: And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spoke unto him the words of Balak. And he said unto them: “Lodge here this night, and I will bring you back word, as the LORD may speak unto me”; and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam. And God came unto Balaam, and said: “What men are these with thee?” And Balaam said unto God: “Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me [saying]: Behold the people that is come out of Egypt, it covereth the face of the earth; now, come curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to fight against them, and shall drive them out.”

“It covereth the face of the earth” refers to his egoistic desire and he is ready to digest it and turn it into an attribute of pure bestowal.

The Torah, “Numbers,” 22:12: And God said unto Balaam: “Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people; for they are blessed.”

Question: Does Balaam speak with the Creator because he is on the same level as the Creator?

Answer: No. The Creator is the only upper force that controls everything and all the other figures in the Torah are a person’s forces and attributes with which he has to work in order to resemble the Creator. Balaam has an absolute connection with the Creator because he is on the level of a prophet and can fulfill the Creator’s commandments. Moreover, it says, “and God came to Balaam” and not that Balaam heard the Creator’s voice, which means that it is not the level of Bina (of hearing) anymore but the level of Hochma (seeing), the revelation of the Creator in the attainment. This is the uppermost prophetic level.

Question: But Balaam hates Israel.

Answer: This is indeed a problem, and what does it say about Jethro? After all, Jethro is Balaam’s grandfather, which means a level that is higher than his.

Question: Does that mean that Jethro also hates Israel?

Answer: Jethro is the force that isn’t found in Israel but which is in contact with the Creator, with Israel, and with Pharaoh. He understands the goal of creation and its purpose and why it has to be in this system. How does Moses advance? Where does all his wisdom come from? From Jethro! This is the only system we can study the wisdom from since the Light actually comes unto the wisdom of Kabbalah and thus enables us to use it correctly and to fulfill it.

The Collapse Of The Climate Conference

laitman_272Question: Last month at the conclusion of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations called it a triumph for the people of the planet Earth. He stressed that the countries agreed to hold the rise of global temperature below 2 degrees Celsius. He also said, “The agreement must go through a very important test, the execution, and that work will begin tomorrow.”

The entire world saw how the participants of the committee stood arm in arm in great spirits.

Answer: Everyone agrees that there is no turning back from the Red Line. All of their beautiful words don’t say anything, especially as they aren’t put into action. Humanity never learns from its previous mistakes. Thus, the optimistic speech of the Secretary-General of the UN remains hanging in the air.

Question: Aren’t you optimistic?

Answer: I have no basis for optimism. I am a realist and look at things in a realistic way.

According to all of the calculations, if we continue with our way of existence as it stands now and do not change ourselves from egoism to altruism, then we are sentenced to a fast, sharp, unpleasant end.

No half measures will help. Through all the history of development, humanity has never learned anything and transitioned from bad to good, but only from bad to worse. This is not pessimism, only reality.

At the heart of our world we really find egoism, and if we don’t change it, it will continue to bury us.

Question: For the simple person, it is difficult to understand that we must turn from egoists to altruists.

Answer: Whether one understands it or not, reality doesn’t change. We exist in the framework of the laws of nature, and if we don’t change through our inner correction from egoistic hatred to relationships of love and mutual integration with one another, then everything will continue to run as usual. Then we are heading toward the end of civilization.

This future is not far away. I think that in the next 20 to 30 years, we will witness destruction, not only of the environment, but also self-destruction. The only way out is to change man’s nature, which is the core of all problems. Each person lives not only for himself, but to the detriment of others.

When we were not so connected to each other, when we weren’t an integral civilization and connected as a small village, then everything was more or less all right.

But we have reached a state where we are locked into one, unique system that must be mutual and altruistic. Otherwise, it very quickly swallows itself like a cancerous growth that devours itself at an incredible rate.

If we needed an example, given 100,000 years to evolve until now, then only 100 or 150 years would be enough to destroy everything.

There is only one reason, the human ego. Since it is scattered, it locally damages the body of human civilization, and the disease manifests sometimes here and sometimes there. However, when it all is connected together, the ego, united, has become global, integrated, and simply devours everything.

Question: However, in any case, the participants of the climate committee came to some decision together. Doesn’t that mean something?

Answer: Of course not, it’s evident that nothing has changed. They have gathered more than once. Can egoism decide on something?

A correct decision can be made only if we exist as in nature, as one integral system, and stop swallowing each other, and begin to heal each other mutually and complement one another. Only then can we hope for some kind of future.

So, the solution is in our hands. I am very happy that we have reached the finish line. Certainly, the world will need the revelation of the wisdom of Kabbalah in full force so that humanity will see that there is salvation. Otherwise, humanity will be in darkness. Here, it is necessary to give humanity a light at the end of the tunnel.

We will not be able to do anything with the ego. We have one system, the wisdom of Kabbalah, which explains how to overcome egoism, how to transform it to its opposite property of communication, love, unity, and togetherness.

If humanity rejects the wisdom of Kabbalah, then it will continue to decline. Do not do it!
