The Essential Secret Of The Jews, Part 22

From the book: The Essential Secret of the Jews, M. Brushtein.

“Fundamental Principles of the Integral Theory”

We must connect with each other, despite all the contradictions.

Our inclinations can be used both positively and negatively.

Unlike animals, the human being is able to consciously bring both benefit and harm to the environment.

The laws of ecology, human society and, generally, of all nature are interconnected by global integral connections.

Humanity has become big and strong. At the same time, it looks like a little kid who got lost and does not know where to go.

Equal Rights, But Don’t Mix

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Can a married man and an unmarried woman discuss the greatness of the goal in a single circle?

Answer: This is not easy, but it is possible to delineate the wisdom of Kabbalah with all the rest and orient yourself so that the entire difference between men and women disappears: with whom you are dealing with, how, and why.

But this requires serious, permanent work. For spirituality there should be a particular time, for materialism, another time. It is even necessary to give the body what it requires. Everything depends upon who the people are, what the connections and situations are.

I think that nevertheless it is better to conduct discussions in separate circles to prevent problems that can appear between the sexes and can very quietly lead people away from the goal, confusing them, and making them unable to separate from obsessive, disturbing thoughts. As a general rule, all kinds of arguments, issues, and conversations arise.

I am in favor of giving people equal rights, but not mixing. Give women all kinds of preference in all kinds of things, show them signs of attention and respect and in no way show disrespect.

Respect their readiness to invest themselves in the common goal, ask them to help you so they will not distract you; they are stronger than men in this regard.

And women must understand that the purity and morality of the group is in their hands. If they want, they will behave so that the men will not even look in their direction. In such a case you will truly have a strong and good group.

The Conditions For Feeling Love

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Why is it that when I discover at least some love for the friends, I don’t find a place for effort?

Answer: Such a thing cannot be. Specifically with effort above your ego, in yearning to connect with the friends, love is revealed in the Ohr Hozer (Returning Light) above the Masach (screen), above the Tzimtzum (restriction). That is how the conditions for feeling love are discovered.

And this doesn’t relax a person like physical love does; on the contrary, he constantly holds onto the tension. He enters into or goes out of love, adjusting it qualitatively and quantitatively, in order to be in it all the time above his ego, in opposition to it. These complex aggressive actions don’t relax a person. It is necessary to activate them all the time.

When You Feel No Taste In Spirituality…

Dr. Michael LaitmanThe Torah, “Leviticus” (Metzora), 14:8: “The person being cleansed shall then immerse his garments, shave off all his hair, and immerse [himself] in water, and become clean. After this, he may enter the camp, but he shall remain outside his tent for seven days.”

This speaks about methods of purifying the desires by gradually performing more internal work.

The hair (Se’arot) symbolizes a person’s unfulfilled desires and therefore stem from the Hebrew word “Sauer” (stormy), that is, a person feels an inner storm with the inability to fulfill himself with bestowal.

Shaving off one’s hair means getting rid of these desires and agreeing not to use them. In fact these are the greatest desires and the strongest impulses a person has.

The Torah, “Leviticus” (Metzora), 14:9: “And it shall be, on the seventh day, that he shall shave off all his hair: [that of] his head, his beard, his eyebrows; indeed, all his hair he shall shave off. He shall then immerse his garments and immerse his flesh in water, thus becoming clean.”

The seven days of purification help a person totally get rid of the previous level on which his egoistic impulses were revealed.

He corrects the egoistic desires that are left for seven days (seven Sefirot) and when he purifies himself of them he is ready for bestowal.

Comment: We usually go over the Torah portion in greater detail…

Answer: If we were in spiritual attainment, we could speak about it a lot. There are for example, endless hours about food on TV on all the channels. These are the most popular shows…

I remember when the book About Tasty Healthy Food was published by Stalin. People were hungry and this book with beautiful elegant  pictures of different dishes was published; people bought it and it filled them a bit. It was a serious public relations move campaign way before the times of Hollywood and America with its advertising campaigns. Psychologically it worked 150%.

I saw something similar to that not long ago in the U.S. when I visited our publisher. His wife is of Russian origin and she deals with diamonds. They published a book about diamonds that had an unprecedented demand in the U.S. and Canada, especially in places where no one had ever seen such diamonds.

People who don’t have them enjoy the feeling of seeing them: how everything glitters and changes colors, and how they are polished etc. For them it is like having all that wealth. It is a great psychological stunt.

In other words, we can speak endlessly about food and diamonds because we feel a taste in it, we want it, and we know what it is. See how many dishes can be prepared from the same materials. People have different tastes and different feelings, whereas when it comes to spirituality they feel no taste for the time being.

An Ideological Revolution

From the brochure “The Only Way Out – Israel Today.”

Recently, expressions such as the “chosen people,” “people of the idea,” “spiritual people,” evoked a feeling of unease, of savagery, religious restrictions, and most importantly, a sense of not belonging to all of these phrases.

The war against Hamas has made, in fact, an ideological revolution. The media, especially social networks, were literally flooded with these kind of expressions. They come from both Jews and non-Jews. When rockets reach anywhere in the country, the position of an outside observer quickly disappears.

On one hand, there is some feeling of hopelessness; on the other hand, no one talks and writes that we should leave Israel and seek a safer place in another part of the planet.

Why? Because we all see that the planet does not want Jews. If previously we talked about anti-Semitism in some countries, today it is difficult to find a country where anti-Semitism does not exist. Literally, every day where anti-Semitism was manifested before, its activity is increasing, and where it did not exist before, it begins to grow rapidly.

Such a full-blown wave of anti-Israel, or rather anti-Semitic declarations has never been, unless, of course, we do not recall Nazi Germany. Even countries, such as El Salvador, Peru, and Argentina, joined the general mayhem and have begun to withdraw their ambassadors.

The world does not care that we provide food, energy, and medical care to those who are constantly bombarding our cities. The world is quite seriously concerned why so many terrorists are killed and why there are so few casualties among those who oppose the terrorists.

The Essential Secret Of The Jews, Part 21

From the book: The Essential Secret of the Jews, M. Brushtein,

“Fundamental Principles of the Integral Theory”

Will There Be Socialism?

Much is said about the failure of socialism. The Dictionary of Political Science describes this in the following way:

“The domination of the totalitarian system led to an economic, political and spiritual crisis, lagging behind developed countries, isolated from world culture.” (Academic Dictionary)

Another dictionary adds:

“The authorities’ inability to control the situation led to the destruction of socialism and the Soviet Union, a drop in production, and many other serious consequences.” (Academic Dictionary)

The problem with these explanations is that they are, in essence, talking about the consequences and not the causes. What the root of the problem is these explanations cannot make clear. In addition, these and other similar interpretations appeared after the Soviet Union had collapsed. As you know, it’s easy to be wise after the event.

Yet, it is not clear. If humanity is moving steadily toward unification, why did the system, which was based on collectivist values, fail?

This might be the cause:

“If a society is not developed to the necessary extent, the collective governance would become the worst regime for it.” (HaUma http://www.kabbalah.info/rus/content/view/frame/4573)

It might sound true because this was written when the former USSR was at its peak – in 1940. However, maybe the author did not like socialism at all? It turns out that it is just the opposite.

“The socialist idea, which consists of equal and fair distribution, appears to me as the truest.” (HaUma http://www.kabbalah.info/rus/content/view/frame/4573)

“… the difficulties in Russia did not prove that the socialist idea is inherently unfair … What harms them is nothing else but their inadequate development, and, consequently, their unpreparedness for this idea.” (HaUma http://www.kabbalah.info/rus/content/view/frame/4573)

If everything is good, why is it so bad?

So people were not ready for the idea. So what? People were not ready for other ideas either. For example, religious ideas. Well, by using the carrot and the stick, religions successfully spread and took root. However, the author points out what he has in mind.

“… They did not take into account that in the end they also needed the proletariat’s mentality in order for it to work; that it was necessary to create the property of altruism, which would have brought about the realization of the slogans. And it is absolutely impossible.” (Yehuda Ashlag “The Solution,” http://www.kabbalah.info/rus/content/view/frame/3812)

So, is it a dead end?
