Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 3/4/18, Part 1

laitman_565.02Question: In the Talmud (from the third century CE) it is said that, “All who condemn disqualify themselves with their own flaw” (Kiddushin 70a). It follows that all of the shortcomings that I see in the world are within me. What am I supposed to do with that?

Answer: Begin to correct yourself in the manner advised by the wisdom of Kabbalah. When you reach a state of completion and perfection, you will discover that the world is absolutely like that.

Question: Can knowledge about spirituality cause damage?

Answer: Kabbalistic knowledge cannot be harmful because the person receives it according to the thickness of the screen that he builds within himself, and the screen is anti-egoistic. You will be unable to do anything to harm others.

Question: How does the Creator, who only bestows, receive our pleasure?

Answer: He receives pleasure not from us fulfilling His need, like in our world when we fulfill someone we receive pleasure from it, but from the fact that we are contented by bringing Him contentment.

Question: If everyone around me is a reflection of what is within me, then what is to be found within us? Who really exists: is it you or I?

Answer: All of you exist within me, just as everyone else exists within each one of you. But what do I want? I want to be in a closer connection with the Creator by way of the communication between us.

Question: If the Creator is revealed to a person in a good state, is this false?

Answer: No. Most important is to not distance yourself from contact with the Creator, not to lose the connection with Him, no matter what situation you are in.

Question: What is the transition period or spiritual distance from Adam to the completion of correction?

Answer: This is the process of the development of matter that is in contact with ego. It is necessary to go through a period of the recognition of evil and its correction until there is a complete resemblance to the Creator and adhesion with Him. This cycle is called the “6,000 years of the existence of the world.”

Question: If a person has achieved a personal spiritual correction, will he continue to work in his profession?

Answer: Only if he will bring benefit to people in this way. In principle, he can no longer work in a place where people are harmed.

laitman_284.03Question: Are there imperfect souls?

Answer: Unfinished souls are not yet corrected.

Question: Do Reshimot (reminiscences) of our future souls leave an impression on us?

Answer: Nothing disappears. What remains are all the states of the souls and all kinds of possible combinations between them. There are even particular formulas of mutual connection.

Question: Can the Creator know what kind of choice I will make?

Answer: The Creator makes the choice, which you will then make.

Question: Why is there a fear of losing the upper Light?

Answer: This is egoism. You should not be involved with these things. Think only about connection with others. You will acquire the upper Light through them.

Question: Does my perception of someone’s soul introduce changes in that soul?

Answer: No. Do not build anything on this. Do not depend on the souls of others. Everything is found only within you. A person should imagine himself as a unique, free character in the world.

Question: What is adhesion and how is it felt?

Answer: Adhesion is felt as existence with one desire, as it is said, “I make my desire like His desire” (Pirkei Avot2: 4). This is what all the poets sing. Unfortunately, they only sing.

Question: How much time during the day should be spent in study and involvement with the wisdom of Kabbalah? How does one do this qualitatively? In what should one invest his effort?

Answer: Invest in it during all your free time. Free time is the time you can allocate to the Creator and nobody else is managing you. Your account begins from this.

Reincarnation In Spiritual Space

laitman_622.01Question: Is there reincarnation from Kabbalah’s point of view? And if so, what for?

Answer: From the point of view of Kabbalah, there is reincarnation, which is called Gilgulim, that is, circuits. These circuits, however, are not our lives, not the return to our world, that is, death and rebirth. They are the circuits in the spiritual space if we achieve it.

Our world has absolutely no circuits. The person who lives in his ordinary life just dies, that is, his animal life ends here. From this point of view, there is nothing in a person. There is a potential embryo of the soul that he did not realize, but it has nothing to do with the material body.

Question: But didn’t you say that reincarnation is a cycle of souls?

Answer: For this, you must attain the soul, and then you will participate in its circuits. But this does not depend on the life of the material body.

Question: Does that mean it can happen instantly, and then again after a few moments?

Answer: Not even instantly; it happens on a different time axis.

Question: What is reincarnation then? Is it an appearance of another desire?

Answer: Yes. Desires are constantly changing. My teacher wrote a few excellent articles on this subject. You can read them. The intention of the desire changes. The higher the intention, the more it is for bestowal, the higher the person. Changing one’s intention from small to large leads to such circuits.

Why Does The Creator Need Contentment?

laitman_600.01Question from Facebook: Why does the Creator need contentment? Isn’t He self-sufficient?

Answer: The same can be said about parents and children. You are connected with your children, you gave birth to them, they are very important to you. This is natural and it comes to us from the Creator in accordance with His attitude toward us.

Question: But isn’t our task to return this, to give Him contentment?

Answer: If a child correctly understands how to treat his or her parents, then he must act so that the parents will receive pleasure from him. And then he certainly will not be mistaken, because he otherwise will not have guidelines in this life. Therefore, setting himself up to give pleasure to his parents, he will always act in the most optimal way for himself.

And so are we with the Creator: giving Him contentment is a guideline to do the right thing for ourselves.

I Want Truth, Not Games

laitman_241.01Question from Facebook: You always talk about playing a game. I hate this word. I want truth in a relationship, not games. What should I do?

Answer: Fate plays with a person. We should understand that we must play in order to draw the upper force that will change and correct us.

The game is not just playing, but checking one’s present state and orienting toward the future at every moment. Since the future is unknown and the present, in general, is not particularly evident, we are always in a fog, in a confused state: How should we proceed?

The correct behavior of a person in relation to the future is called “play” because we ourselves do not determine our future, just our attitude toward it.

Setting ourselves up for the correct attitude toward a good future will bring us good in the present. This is how we will advance.

It is very serious work, but since our next state is unclear to us, our movement toward each other, our attitude to the world, to life, even to the Creator, is like acting on a stage, when we are acting out our best future state, imagining what it can be. When we aspire to it, then accordingly, we receive it from above.

In principle, it is based only on the fact that the future is unknown, and I can determine it and its relationship to me, my inclusion in it, with the help of actions called “playing.”

Question: Is depression also a game?

Answer: Depression is also a game because we build a picture of the future as completely dark, foggy, unknown, and frightening in front of us.

In principle, Kabbalah discusses only about how we can achieve a real, true, and correct future. We need to create it. When I create this future, I build it from blocks. This is the game.

I am playing all the time, building it. If we correctly understand how to play and create our future from the blocks, it should be to connect these building blocks, what we should imagine. What’s most important is the relationship between us in a world that we can make beautiful. We cannot create it. So, we must learn to play.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 1/21/18, Part 1

laitman_627.1Question: In the Hebrew language, there are different words for the Creator; what does the most common word for the Creator “Bore” mean according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer:  Bore is the Creator. The meaning of the word “Creator” is a generator. The concept of the “Creator” refers to all of creation and the word “generator” is used in relation to something in particular.

Question: According to you, the words “Creator” and “Nature” have the same meaning. Is it possible to say that the word “Creator” and the word “truth” possess the same meaning such that the truth corrects the soul and helps a person to become a partner with the generator?

Answer: Right.

Question: Why is the feeling of the Creator accompanied by an increased presence of sexual energy? Does this energy exist in everything?

Answer: Yes. When a person advances toward the Creator, toward bestowal through Kabbalistic closeness with the friends, an increased sexual desire simultaneously appears within him, which is a person’s basic desire. This is written about in Kabbalistic books.

Question: It is said that the Creator created us “in His image and likeness.” What is an image and a likeness?

Answer: The Creator created a desire to receive that was created with a tendency toward bestowal and love. Afterward, this desire “fell” from this state to the opposite state, to reception and hatred.

Question: Is humanity unconsciously in adhesion with the Creator?

Answer: Humanity is in full adhesion with the Creator but doesn’t feel it. Our task is to achieve a real feeling of the Creator, and to do this we must use the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: What is a “Minyan”?

Answer: A “Minyan” is a system for the unification of people who are divided into tens. It is derived from the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: Is there something that the Creator cannot do?

Answer: It is impossible to speak about the Creator like that, because He is a constant force. The Creator is the permanent characteristic of goodness and absolute bestowal.

Question: Is it possible to say that all of a person’s emotions are the Creator but in a hidden form?

Answer: Yes.

Can Betrayal Be Justified?

Laitman_002Question from Facebook: I cannot forgive betrayal. In my mind I understand that a person was put into a difficult situation, but we grew up together, went through thick and thin, and he betrayed me. My stomach turned inside out. What can I do about it?

Answer: It says not to judge until you are in a person’s particular state. You have to move into him, transfer into him with all his internal qualities, into the state he was in. Then you will see whether or not he could have acted differently.

You would see that if you were in an identical situation, being exactly like him, you would have acted the same way. And what would have been the difference between the two of you if you assumed all of it, his qualities and his circumstance? Clearly there would be no difference. Therefore we cannot reproach or despise anyone for anything. I would even say, or love.

Question: Then, it is not clear what “betrayal” means? Is there such a concept?

Answer: No. It only seems to us that a person is betraying—in my egoism I expected a different behavior from him.

Question: Then everything depends only on whether I can truly assume the situation he was faced with?

Answer: Of course. We are biological elements, and everything inside us dictates our actions.

Question: So, is a person that weak?

Answer: A person is not weak, he simply does not exist. He does not exist! He is nobody. He has no ability to control himself. It is only an illusion that constantly “spins” us and seemingly grants us freewill.

Question: Let’s say there is a person who is close to you. How do you relate to him? Can you forgive him for anything?

Answer: I take it as it is. Regarding anyone, close or distant. I am not impressed, annoyed, nor surprised by any relationships people have. I do not fixate on anyone, do not expect anything from anyone other than the Creator. Then I can orient myself somehow toward a certain communication from Him, toward bestowal.

Question: From a person?

Answer: From the Creator through a person. There is no other way. That is, discussing a person doing anything by himself or acting a certain way is wrong, it is incorrect, and we should not attribute or impose some conscious form of behavior on a person. It is not him!

Question: Do you work with the Creator through a person all the time?

Answer: Is there any other way? Of course. The way the Creator controls him, the way He leads him is the way I perceive this person. And such is the relationship of the Creator toward me.

How Do I Live If I Do Not Believe Anyone?

laitman_961.2Question from Facebook: How do I live if I don’t believe anyone?

Answer: You don’t have to believe anyone. The fact is that we are all puppets, the whole world is a theater. And the director, producer, writer, the one who controls everything, the king (as we call Him), that is, having absolute power, is the Creator.

Therefore, we should only deal with Him. All others have no freewill, nothing. Our freewill is only so we can properly bring ourselves closer to the Creator. But, in principle, He is the one who does and operates everything, and there is nothing else that could possibly happen without Him. It is one power that holds onto itself, permeates the entire universe, and controls everything.

I think that it is time for people to start becoming aware of the system we live in—that only one power exists in it and it leads us to a specific goal, along a specific path.

If we imagine this path and this goal within ourselves and want it to be realized, then we are in a positive connection with the Creator, and then we enjoy all this, and that is how it will be. But if we do not, then we’ll be worse off. That is our entire fate.

Question: Then why does He lead us through this “I believe—I don’t believe”?

Answer: He is leading us toward absolute unity so that we are completely united, and then He will be revealed in us—from the hidden, He will become apparent.

281.01Question: How is it possible to stop constantly analyzing my actions?

Answer: Why would you? Constant analysis is imperative. We must, however, connect all of our actions to the Creator: His to me and mine to His, and thus we work in two lines.

Question: How do we develop the ability to react differently and not automatically in an egoistic, beastly way?

Answer: When you act consciously, not automatically, you become spiritual, then you will give a spiritual reaction. Until then, you will be who you are. Don’t expect to be able to control yourself. The Creator controls everything.

Question: What does “Jerusalem” (Yeru Shalayim), which translates to Yira’a Shlema – perfect/complete awe/fear/trepidation mean?

Answer: This is the characteristic of Bina that attains the level of Keter.

Question: What is the most common mistake in the process of self-discovery?

Answer: A person only knows himself when he knows the Creator, and understanding the Creator, he works on self-reflection. Therefore, a person is called Adam, from the word “Domeh” (similar). That is, the degree in which one resembles the Creator, one discovers the Creator, I see myself within the Creator and see myself as in a mirror.

Question: How many years of inner work are required on average to pass through the Machsom (barrier)?

Answer: The years don’t matter, although in the Introduction to the Study of the Ten Sefirot, Baal HaSulam wrote that it requires at least five years. However, I think that even with all our efforts, it can’t take less than 10-15 years. This is an inner correction of many properties in a person.

Laitman_013.07Question: A person who reaches the highest level is a person who is completely corrected. What is his task and his relationship to people in everyday life?

Answer: It is to show people the possibility of spiritual correction. There is no other task for a person in our world except bringing the entire world to this state.

Question: A higher radiance operates on the reader when reading a book of Kabbalah. Is this enough in order to move from beastly love to spiritual love, to the attainment of the characteristics of the Creator?

Answer: It is not enough. You must perform what the Kabbalists write in their recommendations for working with the group. No matter how difficult it is to interact with others, it is still necessary.

Question: What in Kabbalah can be attributed to a person’s self-knoweldge if, as I understand, a person himself does not exist?

Answer: A created being reveals the human – Adam (similar to the Creator). To the degree that he discovers this similarity within himself, he is called a human (Adam).

Question: What determines the attainment of the nearest spiritual point?

Answer: Connection with my friends and then attraction of the upper Light. This makes it possible for me to ascend.

Question: What is the “inner voice” that seems to advise each one of us? Or is this intuition?

Answer: This is intuition that has no relevance to the Creator or the soul. Don’t think that the soul speaks within you.

Question: Is it possible to discover my mission in life?

Answer: The mission of life is to “break” yourself.

Question: How can a woman become like Malchut?

Answer: Just like a man can, only through promoting unity. Malchut is part of the Partzuf, the soul, which unites everything.
