Question: In a peaceful society, a government of sages, great teachers, and saints is appreciated more. But in times of trouble, the first line goes to the revolutionaries and rebels who gradually become dictators. We are facing mass unemployment. Today it is already clear that revolutionary leaders are beginning to seize power easily. How will the new era that we will enter in the future replace these leaders, or will rebels and revolutionaries have to become educators?

Answer: Societies in which revolutionaries are prominent are the least stable societies that have no clear direction. They exploit every idea that at the moment seems necessary for attaining power.

As a rule, they combine this with religion and do so in most fanatic and cruel form. That’s because this is the most basic and prominent form that can be explained simply, adapted to certain needs, and presented to everyone. It doesn’t require any knowledge, quests, or inner freedoms, but on the contrary, only personal fanaticism and a range of vision contracted to a minimum: Who is with you and who is your enemy, and that’s all.

The problem is that the two weak civilizations clash. Western civilization has weakened itself in that it has completely neglected its cultural heritage. In the 19th century it was totally different. Its main value was the development of science and culture. Now everything has deteriorated.

Now neither science nor culture is valued, except perhaps only in a form that interests the leaders according to their personal, mercantile considerations that help to strengthen their regime. In our day only money and power have value, and they have transformed into identical concepts. Wealth, once despised even by great scientists and people of culture, has become above all. Today all scientists and people of culture can be “bought.”

This characterizes today’s Western “decadence.” We clearly see that the bestial state of a person in this society is what is most important and comes closest to the Roman barbarism: “bread and circuses.”

The absolute lack of education of the masses is what has led to this state. Instead of attracting the masses to culture, to the scientific elite, which were valued in the 19th century, absolute degradation has taken place. What is amazing is that all this began with Germany, which in the past was the cultural and scientific center of Europe. It was precisely there that this transformation took place.

And now Western civilization is encountering and intermixing with the Eastern civilization that expands not thanks to science, art, and technology, but through the power of the masses, meaning multiplication and fanaticism, that is, pressure.

Thus we see that this is what is taking place in Europe and now in America as well. In the end, it will come to the point when the Asiatic-Arabic culture may “swallow” the world.

Question: With the dictators who have come to power like Hitler, surely there is a sense that they proceed as educators to save the society.

Answer: Hitler was not a dictator. He rose to power in a democratic election. The people chose him. Therefore, it is impossible to say that he conquered the government through power as was done, let’s say, in Russia or some other countries. Also, Germany was not a nation that could be conquered with the help of military force. It was done through the power of persuasion.

Question: Are you saying that sages who need to rise to power now also must persuade the people?

Answer: They don’t need to persuade, but rather to educate them, to tell a person about the meaning of his life.

Persuasion is only possible when you act on a beastly level. Hitler achieved specifically this: He put pressure on the beastly instincts of the German people. The same thing can be done with any other group of people since all of them are internally convinced that “we are unique,” and this inclination toward uniqueness can be raised to the level of fascism, Nazism, that is, people can be gathered with this and directed against others.

In the integral society, a new paradigm that we advance toward is completely different: General humanity, full integrality, similarity to nature as to a single system, a balance between us and nature when each one is in his place so as to raise humanity, to help everyone to “exit themselves.” This exiting oneself will be felt by each like an acquisition of an absolutely new method of existence in which a person begins to feel life precisely outside of himself and not within himself.

Specifically this is what the sage, the leader of the new world, disseminates and advertises, and so this can be absolutely differentiated from what all leaders and dictators have done before him.

Question: The next phase in the development of humanity is the transition to a completely new level of consciousness. But it lacks logic, that a large number of leaders and businessmen will be involved with issues like these. What for them does this transition symbolize?

Answer: I think that if people listened to the laws of nature, to those who study nature, then they would profit from it. The fact that they are like small children trying to close their eyes and play with their toys certainly brings no benefit to them nor to the world because a gradual accumulation of negative potential takes place.

We need to try to explain and to disseminate this knowledge; there is no other choice. In the end they still will be heard. One more beating, and then another, and in the end, somewhere along the middle, moving between the suffering and consciousness, we, in any case, will decide that it is enough and that we desire to move forward as rational beings.

But by completely closing our eyes and not paying attention to it, we are going in a completely opposite direction to nature, and there could be serious consequences to this.

The key to cooperative mutual activity between people is their relationship where we need to create a system parallel to nature. Thus, to a businessman who operates a company and has influence on people’s mutual activity, I would suggest setting up a course of integral education of at least two hours a week at his place of business.

We need to explain to the employees about the integral system, mutual dependency, about mutual support, and how it provides a person with the state of inner security, of tranquility. Their manager will see to what extent people will begin to cooperate with each other in a much more effective way. They will stop “jamming the wheels.” They will have the motivation and will begin to quickly agree with each other and reach mutual solutions. We all know that the lack of trust and desire inhibits the production process.

Motivation is related to the fact that we teach people how to relate to each other correctly. They will suddenly discover within themselves great forces, kindness, correct cooperation, and mutual understanding in solving all kinds of problems. Absenteeism will be reduced in connection to family problems, to illnesses, and people will be more active, healthier, and friendlier. Let’s begin today and see what happens in another month or two.

Question: In business today, a line of products or services is manufactured for which no one, in fact, has any need. This is the basis of modern business. What will happen in the integral society to a company that, for example, produces a very expensive brand of neckties, and thus lives and grows?

Answer: Their customers will disappear.

When you give people the right education, they themselves will choose what they do. Many of them will invest only in learning and dissemination, which is to say, in studying, for this is not just learning. They are learning to develop a system of integral mutual cooperation that everyone on earth needs to learn.

The future of humanity is automation, 3D printers, etc., so people won’t work in factories. Certainly this will not be overnight, but just give them a chance and tomorrow it will appear, and no one will need special neckties.

Question: The whole problem is in this. Today, businesses exist thanks to manufacturing neckties. It creates jobs there.

Answer: We are very rapidly reaching a time when people will be provided for through totally different systems and they will feel much happier. Who needs this kind of business? People need to be happy.

That is, a businessman will feel happy, not from selling another thousand expensive neckties, but from something completely different. He will go on to organizing integral education networks and will gather people within the networks, will organize universities, and the like. In this he will find himself instead of selling ties. Anyway, this business has no place in the future. One way or another, it will go bankrupt.

What we require is only what is imperative for the right existence on a normal and minimal level: a house, nourishment, clothing, a car, and the like. All this must exist, but in a normal way. A person will not particularly pursue any of this.

So, describe this to yourself: People with integral education would be eager for what? It will be that which is imperative for life and nothing more. All the unnecessary businesses will disappear.

Question: Practical experience proves that a businessman will feel himself to be secure up to the last day and will not be ready to listen to our advice. An unrealistic condition is formed. We need to wait until everything falls apart for him, but then there will no longer be any one to teach. The collectives are freed, and there are no resources.

Answer: So, we will come to a factory like this and offer them a course in integral education for the entire factory.

The entrepreneur will gradually start his factory again and will come out of the crisis with this. So, through the gradual transformation of the factories that are essential for maintaining the normal existence of humanity, we will form a completely new network. Everything superfluous will cease, and all the “superfluous” people will begin to be occupied throughout their entire workday with forming an integral network between them in the likeness of and equal with nature.

Question: When we speak about the integral network, we are speaking about connections. What are the objects between which this connection is realized?

Answer: First of all, it’s a person since he must attain the state of integrality for himself by striving for it rationally and wisely, by gradually creating it. Together with this, he needs to use the society, even though it still is uncorrected, but is trying to correct itself. Here a very interesting exercise exists. And afterwards, man’s attitude towards the still, vegetative, and animate levels of nature is naturally added to the integral society that gradually progresses and corrects itself.

In what way can we get closer to this integral society and use it? Since it doesn’t exist outside of us, we need to create it ourselves.

Thus, when we play in this integral society, when we imagine it to ourselves as if we already exist in it, when we try to unite between us and create a network of mutual relations, then through this game, we invite upon ourselves the general integral force of nature. It operates and influences our attempts: The society or part of it that tries to play in the integral society receives specifically this force. We do this like children who through this try to be grown ups and thus invite upon themselves the bestowal of the upper force, the general integral force of nature. In this way, we invite upon ourselves its influence and change.

Question: Do we need to explain to people that they achieve similarity to nature in their unity?

Answer: Yes, we must explain this. Serious people come to us who want to master the integral methodology. They are specialists in their fields: politicians, scientists, doctors, computer programmers, and so forth. They want to know what is going on, why and how we have managed to do this.

We explain to them that integral science is very simple. It is built on conformity with nature. We must be on the same level with it—its energy, information, thought, desire—everything that there is in the natural environment, which, in principle, has created us.

However, how can we rise to its level? It is through our interconnection. That is why we create such a connection between us in which everyone is equal, is in mutual concern, in mutual integration with each other. That is, we create a small, integral, analog system in which there is no big or small. No one puts pressure on the other and everyone works toward common consent.

It is because by nature we are opposite to this common state since everyone is a great individualist, egoist, an opponent of others. However, now, rising above this, we begin to unite. We seem to create a capacitor, a storage device, a sensor, that consists of two parts: our previous state and the one that we have achieved now within the first work hour.

In this internal state, which is accumulated, integrated, between us, we begin to feel our similarity to nature. We call this likeness “inner Light” and seem to venerate it because Light gives us a sense of life.

Question: When the integral network is fully connected and all are 100% included in each other, when it has the support of a higher level of nature, then nobody can influence it negatively. But we are talking about a system. How can there be a complex system that nobody can influence externally?

Answer: Everything depends on the quantity and quality of the people who are linked in integral unity. We are not talking about a forceful, destructive influence or about the physical annihilation of the body that happens during a war, for example, that is something else. We are talking about ideology, about an inner connection between us. In this case, all external influences that aren’t integral cannot influence us. They can only help our integration into a stronger, higher society.

For example, if birds or fish are joined together they can defend themselves from predators. Why won’t any predator attack a school of fish that moves as a unit? How can this be? Is the predator afraid of them? Paradoxically they pass him by or he passes them by, and nothing happens. Try to examine the phenomenon and connect it to human society. I think that there are many historical facts about this subject.

Unity causes the appearance of a new, higher power, and I would say that people who are united even have a particular luck that maintains, helps, and heals them. This is how it’s arranged by nature.

But an aspiration towards unity in every circumstance exists only between us humans, the egoists, and therefore it’s carried out in a very painful way. We are constantly colliding, “exploding” like stars, connecting and dispersing again and again. Ultimately, whether we want it or not, we are creating around us or within us a more and more compact system of connection.

We see that the world has become enormous. All of humanity has scattered throughout the world, and on the other hand, it aspires to connection. Therefore it doesn’t matter how much people want to get away from each other, this is the opposite side of unity among them. This will lead us towards unity anyway. And this is a paradox!

Question: But we have often gotten together to do something bad. What leads to that type of unity?

Answer: There exist two levels of unity: virtual, integral, and nationalistic, individual. Therefore if we explore each case on a nationalistic level, we need to describe how this comes to be reflected on an integral level.

If on a nationalistic level there are clashes between us and we are found in difficult situations of conflict, this is not saying that the integral level is damaged. On the contrary, it could be that this proves its necessity. For example, we come to blows. What is the benefit? And if we unite, perhaps we will attain mutual benefit from this.

That is, what we see with our eyes is not the whole picture. You see, there is evolution and the laws of nature according to which we develop; they lead us towards unity, even though this is to happiness “by the rod.”

Question: So then is it better for us to unite for something bad than to be divided, but not by good deeds?

Answer: The person measures his short life according to its happy parts, and if he speaks about the problems, as is understood they are rejected. Come, let’s think about how to reach a good state through a good condition.

Question: A charismatic leader always gives direction to and encourages people. As a rule, he is quite authoritarian and in some cases even tyrannical. Will this trend be evident in the leaders of the 21^st century or will their qualities change due to human evolution?

Answer: Leaders will use all the human and superhuman qualities necessary for and according to the new paradigm to which we are heading. But they must change. They will be educators because humanity needs to be re-educated, and this is the main problem of our time. After all, the masses of unemployed will require re-organization, to be placed in open universities, schools, and to be provided with television programs, scholarships, etc.

Human life will be subject to a strict schedule. The perceived need that will arise in people will lead them to the state that all their life they will be engaged in self-improvement:  public, national, and global, and everyone will have to contribute.

Everyone will have his own responsibilities, changing his egoism to collaboration with others in the shared global, integral society. He will have to achieve a sense of a different existence “outside the body” where I don’t live caring about my animal body, but am occupied with “the human being within me.” This requires very serious, great leaders, meaning educators who understand human psychology and aim their leadership precisely at raising people to a new level.

Question: When we are talking about integral learning, we get the impression that there is someone who already understands this method; it’s as if he controls the ordinary person and helps him pass to the next level. Who is organizing all of this for us?

Answer: In our world there are enough people that are not united but who already understand what needs to be done with humanity. Already ninety years ago the academic Vernadsky began to speak about the necessity for the integral unification of society. In his time, this gigantic “brain” had an enormous revelation; he saw the coming form of human development from the start. After that many of his followers appeared both in Russia and in other places. Today this is being discovered everywhere.

Question: All governmental and religious activists know that changing the consciousness of most humans changes society itself and the cooperation between its members, and as a result of this, the principles of managing the government are changed. What will happen to governments? After all, integrality is going to change and format the system.

Answer: On one hand, integrality will format the system, but I don’t think that this will remove the people who are in power. Those found at the peak of the government, the leadership, the economy, these are people who know and possess ability. Perhaps they don’t understand the future system, but they understand the egoistic system. They can organize the process in the right way even if this changes the entire egoistic society. This is to say, these are not ordinary people. They can help the new organization and can participate in it.

A person doesn’t enjoy the dollars that are lying in a safe, rather he enjoys the fulfillment, the feeling of importance, his superiority, that he is higher, stronger, and more important than others. The dollar bill is not fulfilling in itself but rather the spiritual equivalence in the value of this paper which gives security for today and tomorrow. Therefore all of the presently perceived constituents aren’t going anywhere. The power of money is simply going to be eliminated gradually, and in its place will come an absolutely different kind of government, a government of mutual integral cooperation: The more you invest in unity and connection, the more fulfillments you get.

Question: We live in the flow of time. There are people who waste a lot of energy learning how to plan their time. Does this depend on how much a person has to do?

Answer: It depends on a person’s desire. Essentially, the internal self-organization of the person depends on his psychological setup, and everyone has their own.

There are people who are very organized internally: They consider each step from the start, they are compelled to plan their day, sometimes even long before they materialize their plan, and this is how they operate all the time. This is “in their blood.” But if there is a desire, it’s possible to learn this.

There has to be a clear task set before an individual, the obligation to carry it out, the desire to fulfill it, and the influence of the environment on him or her. All of it has to be organized in a way that it will work within a person.

On the other hand, there is a worldwide trend of evolutionary development, which changes our desires and values. And therefore, even if we obligate a person to work according to the previous values for attaining goals that are no longer important to him today, it will be very difficult for us to get a good work yield out of him.

This also depends on time. A very serious change in man and society is taking place today. Every people, every civilization (today there are six or seven civilizations in the world) has its own sense of time, and therefore we need to take this into account.

For example, the inhabitants of Africa, China, and South America comprehend time completely differently than the inhabitants of Northern Europe and North America. They have an absolutely different approach, internal sensation of time, and they ascribe different value to time. For some time is money, like an immense potential they were given and now must realize, while for others time flows calmly and they flow together with it.

Question: If the representatives of various civilizations feel time differently, does it mean that the amount of activity done by them will also differ?

Answer: Certainly! If I employ a worker from India, with his mentality and with his relationship to time, or I take a person with a Nordic character, they will have completely different requirements for themselves, for those around them, and for everything.

We need to understand that the sensation of time in various modern civilizations is different. In accord with this we have to plan our interrelationships, attitude to general connections, associations, and so on.
