Answer: In a manner of speaking, yes, although it is more intense and more mixed up these days.

Comment: It turns out that when a person studies Kabbalah and everything seems fine, then one is in ascent with almost no feeling of descent; these are the seven years of plenty. This person then begins feeling a certain dryness without any desire for the spiritual. In general, what will this state give me in this world?

My Response: Other methods do not oblige you to destroy egoism. They do not humiliate you. On the contrary, you rise and grow up. And here you reach a state where you are just a zero. Who am I? What am I? For what reason? This is a problem.

This is why you need a group. You have to do it all the time, make an ironclad schedule for yourself, grab onto your friends, and they grab onto you, and so mutually pull each other out, climb and not just go along a bumpy road, but climb a mountain together. Question: In our world there are all kinds of manifestations of feelings between people, emotions that fill them, such as friendship and love.

Answer: Yes. It changes, fills, and connects them. They unite in this property of bestowal and begin to examine it between themselves. And then it turns out that the ten and this force, which they call the Creator, become one single whole.

Answer: A circle is when everyone is equal.

If all the friends in a ten unite and try to be completely equal to each other, then geometrically it is depicted as a circle.

Comment: When an obstacle comes, I have to remember that first of all, everything stems from the single force: “There is none else besides Him.”

Secondly, I am given the obstacle in order to unite more with the friends in the group. Thirdly, externally, I start playing in the group, trying to do something good for my friends: to organize a meal, and so on, while internally, I start feeling animosity. The more I exert for the benefit of the group and unite with them, the stronger I feel animosity and rejection.

My Response: But to this extent, you receive an opportunity to turn to the Creator so that He helps you. You exert effort and ask Him for this.

Comment: I exert effort, but failure awaits me.

My Response: Not necessarily failure, although this is not excluded. Most likely, it is going to be an obstacle: you will not be able to even approach the group.

Comment: Then comes despair from the futility of all efforts and, finally, the realization that only the group can help.

My Response: Only the Creator can help through the group. And then you start turning to Him consciously, but only through the group, asking Him to help you. Otherwise, He won’t hear.

The Creator is in no way associated with an individual person. Although you can take small steps to rise above yourself a bit, this is not advancement. It is possible only in the integration between us.

Question: What does it mean, “through the group”?

Answer: Why do you turn to Him?

Comment: So that He helps me.

My Response: What for? If you are not included in the group, it means that it is an egoistic request.

Comment: But I want to reveal Him.

My Response: What lovely egoism! And why do you need it?

Comment: It is said that the purpose of creation is to reveal the Creator. He wants me to do it. He created the created beings in order to fill them. So I want to be filled with Him.

My Response: In order to do so, you must be similar to Him. And how will you do it?

Comment: Through the group.

Question: Two forces operate in nature: the altruistic force that develops creation and the altruistic force that is responsible for the diversity of nature and our individuality, feelings, and emotions. Does the correct combination between them constitute the correct mutual relationship in a ten?

Answer: Yes. We always sense the contrast between the two forces.

Question: Should we become like the developing, altruistic force?

Answer: But it’s impossible to achieve, perceive, and appreciate it if there is no egoistic force opposite to it. Kabbalah doesn’t talk about eradicating anything in nature; it talks only about reaching balance.

Question: So it follows that these two forces are concealed from us?
