Without Options

938.03When we move from rejection of others to a connection above our egoism, then we begin to feel this system of communication between ourselves and everyone else. The connection between you and everyone else is called rising along the degrees of the worlds.

To the extent we can reduce the internal distances between us to be heart to heart with our desires, intentions, and fillings, to that extent relative one to the other, we ascend the degrees of the worlds. My egoism is between me and you, and if I divide the ego into parts, then it will have five degrees: zero, one, two, three, and four.

If I can overcome the first degree a little and get closer to you, it is called that I have ascended to the degrees of the world of Assiya. The second degree is the world of Yetzira, the third is the world of Beria, then the world of Atzilut, the world of Adam Kadmon, and Infinity—the place where we completely merge, it means without end, without limitation. That is how it happens.

When I am in this state relative to you, nothing is difficult for me; that is what is called worlds. And there is nothing else but the surface on which we all exist—broken, rejected, separated from each other by our egoism—and we must unite.

Let’s say that the upper world is acting on us now, which means, the global system is starting to work more. But the ties between us are vicious and bad. Therefore, when a small “electric current” passes through us i.e., a small connection, then the system feels in disarray, in crisis, so to say, and we can do nothing about it.

We feel like we are trying to be disconnected from each other, and the system constantly engages us more and more, and we cannot get anywhere. Contrary to this system, we are in an egoistic relationship with each other, but it requires us to be connected and act together. Therefore, the crisis is called global, integral!

Here we have no options in front of us. We must unite and join this system either voluntarily, with awareness and what Kabbalah calls for and helps to do, or the system will turn on more and more, and we will feel sufferings more and more until they convince us.

The Prerequisite for the Revelation of the Spark of Light

528.02If we correctly tune ourselves with our friends and create a substrate from two opposite qualities, a place in which these qualities will be connected with each other, then a third quality, called the Creator or the middle line, will manifest in it.

Otherwise, He does not exist and the middle line does not exist. There is no one to chase outside; there is nowhere to look for them around you, or somewhere over the stars, or underground. There is nothing to draw any images. Only our correct connection will manifest the Creator. We will find Him ourselves and create this condition and this quality between us. Otherwise He is nowhere.

When you follow such a method, holiness arises only in our correct relations with each other above egoism that is really created in the most correct way, so that from it we build a correct attitude to each other, which is called the Creator.

As a result, a person becomes Adam, similar to this quality, and feels him in oneself. And the fact that such a quality arises in people even at the beginning of their correct connection, such an inner spirit, this is the prerequisite for the smallest light that we must reveal.

That is what we are doing. This is Kabbalah, which is open to everyone.

There Is No Light Without Friends

938.02We do not yet fully understand how important it is to open your heart to love for the friends. After all, through it we come to love for the Creator, and this is not possible in any other way. It repels us and seems very strange and unfamiliar, but in essence this is the manifestation of the evil inclination created by the Creator in order to help us come closer to His qualities.

It turns out that when I force my way into the heart of a friend, I break through to the Creator. The heart of a friend is that temple, the place where I meet the Creator. So far we do not feel it, and it takes a long time to reach this awareness. Actually, all the egoism contained in me protests against my connection with a friend because this is the place of my connection with the Creator.

The heart of a friend turns into the house of the Creator for me. If I manage to penetrate the heart of a friend, it means that I am entering the temple where the Creator is located. It was I who built this holy building and thus came closer to the Creator.

Therefore, the most important thing is to break your egoism and force your way into the hearts of the friends. I really hope that we will feel this more and more until this inner feeling settles in the very depths of our heart, and in this way we will all be worthy to connect into one person with one heart.

A Quick Way To Feel Spirituality

947Question: You said that there is nothing easier than to actually reveal the Creator. Is this the simplest thing we can do?

Answer: Sure. You just have to connect with others, with a small number of people, reach a state where you all get out of yourself, rise above your “I,” and enter into a joint “we.” In this “we” you will feel the Creator.

Question: The formula is clear. But if everything is so simple, why do you need to make so many attempts? Why are there such ordeals and difficulties?

Answer: Because there is no system. People want to penetrate the spiritual realm egoistically: “Let’s unite like revolutionary sailors.” It turns out that we imagine an egoistic connection, not in order for everyone to rise up for a mutual united bestowal. After all, our connection is intended only to help each other get out of ourselves.

Question: How can you do it quickly?

Answer: By working for others. We unite in order to help ourselves and others get out of our nature, out of our egoism.

About the High Value of Lo Lishma

284.02The state of Lo Lishma is not ordinary earthly egoism. To be in Lo Lishma means to try to be in Lishma, to perform actions of bestowal, and to reveal that for now you are doing them for yourself.

The time when I make efforts to rise above my egoism and achieve bestowal but I am not yet capable of it is called the period of Lo Lishma.

Question: It is probably not enough to turn your nature from Lo Lishma to Lishma only once?

Answer: Of course, this does not happen all at once. There are 125 degrees each of which is divided into many more states. Baal HaSulam said that we do not understand how high the state of Lo Lishma is. It is even higher than our idea of the state of Lishma.

After all, the true Lo Lishma means that I am trying with all my might to make a bestowing act, and in the end, it is revealed to me that I still acted for the sake of my desire to receive, my egoistic benefit.

Question: Is there such a structure or environment where one could enter in order to make such a turn in a compulsory way?

Answer: Yes, this is the role of the group.

The First Guest of Honor: Abraham

938.02On the first day of the Sukkot holiday, we receive a new addition to our Kelim: the clothing of the Sefira Hesed in us, which is called Ushpizin Abraham. We are gradually reviving the body of the common soul of Adam HaRishon, which was shattered. And first of all we collect a spiritual Partzuf that is ready to receive the light of Hesed.

Hesed is the highest quality that we receive from the head of the spiritual Partzuf (Sefirot Keter, Hochma, and Bina); therefore, it is clothed in us first. We feel that a new state has come and brought with it a new spirit and a new understanding. It is given as a gift; we just have to expect it, wish for it, and ask for it. If I want to give to a friend, then I become worthy of receiving a gift.

It is said that anyone who wants to get close to the Creator must first accept the quality of the right line, that is, the quality of faith.

A group that seeks to unite must first of all achieve the quality of Abraham, the quality of faith. When the attribute of mercy reigns in all desires, it means that Abraham has clothed in them.

It is said in The Book of Zohar: “There is no one in the world who can compare with the greatness of Abraham, who showed mercy to all creatures.” The bestowal made by Abraham was the greatest, and therefore he is called the father of the people, the first of the forefathers.

Sukkot—The Beginning Of Building The Soul

The Common Sukkah in the Common Heart

947A Sukkah is a structure consisting of four walls and a special cover (Shach). Even three walls are enough because if there are the first three phases in the Kli, then the fourth phase Dalet is already being built inside them. The main thing is that there are three walls and a cover.

A Sukkah reflects the structure of the spiritual Kli, which is called Neshama, the soul. We need to build this soul out of our common desires in the group, and then we will reveal the inner light, the Creator, inside our correct connection.

A person builds a Sukkah on the ground, that is, on the basis of ready-made material because the ground is always under his feet. On it he already builds a Sukkah: four walls and a cover from the waste of barn and winery, that is, from the remains of the production of bread and wine, which is food for a person.

The structure of the Sukkah is similar to the way in which the qualities of a person are arranged if he wants to connect them and direct them to the Creator. Then he sees how his qualities are connected within him: Hochma, Bina, Daat, Hessed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, and Yesod in order to form a structure within which he will begin to feel the Creator.

We do not attain the upper light itself or the Creator Himself, but only the impression in our desires from their fulfillment.

When these qualities combine in different forms, we begin to feel what is inside them, and thus reveal the Creator. Each Sefira begins to shine.

If we try to bring the desires between the friends in the ten closer in order to connect them with each other, then inside their connection we begin to see that this is not just our egoism, but desires capable of bestowal, unity, and love.  These desires can be influenced by the upper force, that will create such forms and types of connections and qualities from them that were previously unknown to us.

We see what connection exists between our unity and the qualities that we can reveal between us in order to feel and attain the force that is above us, according to the equivalence of form.

The walls and the cover of the Sukkah are different desires connected with each other in every possible way. If we manage to build the walls of the Sukkah out of our desires, and everyone is ready to make of themselves a column or a foundation for a common structure, that is, our connection, then it is already possible to build a roof over them.

To be a column means to be a support for this structure, to support it with all your strength so that it stands and serves everyone. We are building our common home together so that not even one movement goes to someone’s personal benefit, but only for all of us together.

Thanks to the Revelations of Baal HaSulam

917.01How many people around the world today are in genuine fear and a sense of helplessness? They do not find any justification for their suffering, they do not know what to do, or how to feed themselves tomorrow or in a few months. Some worry about what will happen to their billions, while others do not know how to live when their last pennies run out.

Everyone suffers in their own way, but no one understands how to continue to exist. And we suddenly received such a gift from above that we can look at this world with a human gaze, and not as small and unhappy, beaten animals. And all this is thanks to the revelations of Baal HaSulam that have reached us and through his soul, and Rabash was a transitional adapter between us and Baal HaSulam.

Baal HaSulam was conduit of the light from the world of infinity to us through his perfect soul, which had reached its final correction. But he asked to lower himself, because otherwise, he could not connect with people. And only after he was lowered by many degrees, he was able to write The Study of the Ten Sefirot and The Introduction to The Book of Zohar. We do not understand the degree that he had before, the greatest height, from where he could not even tell anything in words.

Which means, it was at the degree of the GAR of the world of Atzilut and above, where the light is not clothed in desires. From there, he could not address the person and be heard, and therefore, he asked to lower himself. And in fact, he fulfilled his mission, which the Creator expected from him, knowing that he would ask for it and fulfill it.

And we are at an intermediate degree between Rabash, Baal HaSulam, and humanity. On the one hand, we need to rise up to understand what Baal HaSulam said. On the other hand, we need to go down to the people and understand what they need from us and in what form they will be able to accept our message. We need to reach both of these poles, above and below.

Baal HaSulam and Rabash spoke from above. And we are at the bottom, below the Parsa, in order to be able to touch and awaken the world, and then, together with all mankind, to ascend through the Machsom and connect to the upper Malchut. This is our mission.

Ten Is a Locator for a Signal from Above

942If I annul myself before the friends, it already indicates that I have faith in the Creator. Therefore, by annulling ourselves before the friends, we can come closer to the Creator. After all, the Creator does not exist without created beings. If we connect, then our connection is called the Creator. We create Him ourselves and work with Him.

The united group is like a radio telescope that captures influence from the higher degree. An ordinary person cannot feel it, but a united ten receives this special, unattainable force from above. This force is revealed inside the ten, which acts like a radar, a satellite dish, that detects this upper quality.

Without such a group, we will not be able to reach the revelation of the Creator. Only by connecting with each other in a certain way do we create, rotate and adjust this radar dish, our common desire, so as to catch inside it what is called the Creator, that is, “come and see” (Bo-Reh).

The Creator Himself is above our attainment and the only way to reveal Him is to connect with each other and tune ourselves to Him, similar to the way any radio receiver can only receive the incoming wave but not the transmitter itself. Therefore, there is nothing more important than our connection because it leads us to connection with the Creator.

No matter how much I try to adjust my desires alone, in the end I realize that I will not be able to reach connection with the Creator and I need a connection with the friends. After all, only through them will I be able to come to connection with the Creator. I myself am the last Sefira, Malchut, and my friends are the first nine Sefirot, which through this address, the Creator reaches me.

A necessary condition for prayer is to become so integrated into the friends that we feel that within our connection we can receive a message from the Creator. When I catch this message, I want to answer it together with my friends. Through it we can rise and reach real contact with the Creator.

Gather and Study The Book of Zohar

65Question: Why do we read The Book of Zohar?

Answer: We use it as means of spiritual advancement of the group.

First of all, the acquired desire manifests itself in the form of a certain group of people. Individual broken desires appear to each other in physical form and, because of this, are able to establish an initial connection between themselves. They gather in a group and study The Book of Zohar.

At the same time, the broken desire seems to strive for something above it. A joint study of a higher degree under the guidance of a teacher, given everyone’s correct participation, brings changes to the friends. They try to acquire the vessels of a straight line, then the surrounding light in the vessels of the circle around them is ready to enter them. But for now, it comes from the circles to the voids of their desires from afar, in the form of surrounding light, until they take a straight form.

This, in fact, is the purpose of studying. Then, in the corrected vessels, they will be able to study the same texts and the same lights that have turned from external to internal and have passed from vessels of circles to vessels of a straight line.

Thus, The Book of Zohar is a special tool we use without knowing exactly how it affects us. But it doesn’t matter, it still works.

Question: Why is The Zohar more powerful than The Torah in this sense?

Answer: The Book of Zohar has a stronger effect than the Torah because it is written in a style and form that is dictated by the period following the destruction of the Temple.

Previously, the people of Israel were at the height of Mochin de Haya, their personal end of correction, and then fell from it into concealment. As a result, Kabbalists are in a broken state among everyone and at the same time rise above all. This difference between the two “ends” of reality, between the world of infinity and our world, has opened up in them.

The sons of Israel fell to the bottom, into the heaviest egoism, while the Kabbalists of Rabbi Shimon’s group were at the top. As a result, the gap, the rift between them, the nation ran from negative infinity to positive infinity.

After that, throughout exile until its very end, the vessels of the people of Israel should mix with all the others and bring spiritual sparks into them.

The Torah is another matter. Moses wrote the Pentateuch at the height of final correction. He himself was above all, but the people were not in the same state. After all, they had just come out of Egypt, and Egypt is not yet a breakage.

In Egypt you only reveal your small degree rather than the entire breakage, in the course of which sanctity enters into defilement, “rattling” it and allowing for the correction of flaws, “expanding by leaps and bounds.” So, since the people had not yet reached such states, Moses could not reveal or express in the Pentateuch all the processes of correction. He reflected only what had happened up until then.

In general, each level includes all the others. The individual and the whole are equal. Therefore, the Torah of course, contains everything, but in such a form that it is impossible to use in its entirety for the correction of souls. You cannot extract light from the Pentateuch that returns broken souls to the source because the exodus from Egypt occurred before the present breakage.

In ancient Babylon, only a small part of it was revealed, which made it possible to unite the GAR, “forefathers ” to weigh their hearts down and, upon leaving Egypt, produce “sons” from them, the tribes of Israel. Then, followed the era of the two Temples and the last exile.

Thus, The Book of Zohar was written from completely different polar states with a maximum difference between the height of 125 degrees and the final breakage of the sons of Israel. Let’s not delve into the details or the spiritual circumstances of that era; what is important to know is that this book corresponds perfectly to what lies in nature.
