The Field Where the Future World Will Grow

934The ten (a Kabbalistic group of ten friends) can be perceived as a field in which we are obliged to do certain work.

If our work is correct, our future world will grow in this field, the correct, kind one. In this field we will find the Creator who blessed this field. In this way, we can move forward on the spiritual path.

We are looking for the Creator in our life, where is He? We want to reveal Him, turn to Him, meet with Him, and advance in our lives by following Him or being next to Him, no matter how, as long as we are together with the Creator. It is like a little child who does not know where to go, but he sticks to his mother right next to her and walks with her.

If a person connects with friends and completes the full ten, this group becomes a holy society where one eventually finds the Creator. This whole group is like a field blessed by the Creator, and together with them, one can move toward the goal of creation.

The Creator gave you this group so you could achieve the goal of creation. But this field may remain bare and unseeded or even overgrown with weeds and thorns without yielding useful fruits.

Or maybe, on the contrary, you connect with your friends, strengthen them, and wish that a good harvest would grow in this field, which could provide the whole world, all of humanity. Then this field that is overgrown with thistles will turn into a fertile arable land blessed by the Creator.

To do this, we need to unite and thank the Creator for caring for us and leading us to the end of correction. And the more we unite and become closer to each other internally, the more we will strengthen our connection, called the field, until we realize that we need the blessing of the Creator. And without the help of the Creator, not a single seed will sprout from the earth.

Therefore, all our work consists of connecting and turning to the Creator, asking Him to help us work properly in this field, and to grow such a harvest that can saturate and fill all creations.

A Remedy for Getting Rid of Fears

514.02Question: Can a person get rid of fear for him or herself?

Answer: Maybe, if the person is in fear for others.

Question: What if one feels no physical fear, but only awe of the Creator? Is this fine?

Answer: Yes, that is a good kind of fear.

Question: How do you overcome the fear of losing your group and friends?

Answer: By asking, only by asking. We have no other appeal to the Creator other than prayer. Therefore, ask.

To Attract the Light of Correction

938.05Question: How can we build an intention to be giving in relation to the environment?

Answer: Our intention is to receive for the sake of the Creator. And what does it mean for the sake of the Creator? When we connect with each other in a single ten, twenty, thirty – it doesn’t matter, then in this way we attract the upper light, and it corrects us.

Question: When the Creator gives a strong desire to unite, how can we not waste this light? Is it enough to hold everyone in your heart and lift them up to the Creator?

Answer: No, you won’t keep anything that way. You must immediately connect with your ten and rise together using this light, this excitement that you have felt in yourself.

Question: Some friends believe that we should create a “magnet” of unification, and then the Creator Himself will attract it.

Answer: Don’t expect anything from the Creator, act on your own, and if you can’t, then ask the Creator to help you.

The Purpose of Disturbances

562.02Comment: It says that if fear overcomes us, we must investigate and study that it is not by chance.

My Response: You must understand what you are asking for or you will receive a reverse reaction from the Creator and will not be able to identify that it comes to your appeals to Him.

Question: But, in essence, we have constant contact with the Creator through the ten. When I realize that I have become detached from it and connect this with the Creator, that He did it so that I think little about the ten, and through the ten about Him, how do I correctly engage in the work?

Answer: The Creator never creates such obstacles for us. He does not want to detach us from the ten or from the purpose of creation. It all depends only on us.

Disturbances are meant to make us even more attached to the Creator and to turn to Him with requests more often.

Whole Stone—Complete Faith

514.02There must be a “small stone,” but it must be “complete,” meaning sufficient to keep the whole of the Torah and Mitzvot based on the “small stone,” and only then is it called “complete” (Baal HaSulam, Shamati 170, “You Shall Not Have in Your Pocket a Big Stone”).

A small stone is small faith (above reason), and a large stone is great faith (reason).

A person must have a “small stone.” For him to fulfill the Torah and Mitzvot based on faith, this stone must be whole. It means we must strive for faith, whether small or large, but complete, not broken into parts.

Therefore, we look not at the size of the stone, but at its integrity—how much the integrity of faith allows us to fulfill the Torah and commandments together.

When we strive for one goal, strength, faith, and action, we see how the Creator unites and turns us into one solid stone.

What Is the Difference between Fear and Trembling?

962.3Question: Fear comes to us as a result of the Creator’s distance or nearing. How can we develop trembling due to the lack of connection with the Creator?

Answer: Think about it more than you do now and try to get closer to your friends. Be sure that the Creator specifically gives you such states so that, despite them, you still feel yourself moving toward the Creator.

Question: What is the difference in the work of building a Kli out of fear or out of trembling?

Answer: Trembling is more worrying, and fear is much worse than trembling.

When Does the Force of Bestowal Appear in the Ten?

934Question: What will help us realize our interdependence within the ten and the world group and maintain the intention to bestow before each action?

Answer: Just as we currently want to receive everything for ourselves, we should desire to bestow everything to our friends in the ten and through them, to the Creator. Bestowal indicates that I think about my friends and ask the Creator for them to receive everything they desire.

If the ten can unite and direct all its desires to the Creator, it means that there is a force of bestowal within it.

Revelation of the Shechina to the Created Beings

938.03Question: What is the revelation of the Shechina to the created beings?

Answer: It is the revelation of all souls connected correctly. When a person attains this, the entire vessel the Creator made is revealed and  He is ready to fill it. The revelation of the vessel is more than just feeling the ten; it is Malchut of infinity.

Question: Should I first feel the suffering because the ten is not receiving the light of correction, and then the ten should feel the suffering of the Shechina?

Answer: No, it is you who should suffer that you cannot correct the Shechina because all your friends should gather in it, and you want them to have the intention to pass the collection of all your desires to the Creator.

Question: How can I inspire the ten to think about the Shechina and build an intention in one direction? After all, I do not know what is in the hearts of others.

Answer: It does not matter what is in their hearts. You just need to talk about this among yourselves, and gradually, through your conversations, the upper light will begin to work on the heart of each friend.

Toward Complete Unity

939.01Question: What do we connect if we feel everything differently?

Answer: We connect our Kelim. When they become larger and deeper, we begin to feel our similarity to each other in them. If we connect to create a common Kli, then in this common Kli we begin to attain the Creator.

Question: How can we come to such a perception of reality that everyone is in complete unity?

Answer: With love, everyone should strive for love.

Question: What is the reason for the transition between our understanding of the relationship between the Kli and the light, and the actual, practical comprehension of these relationships in our receiving Kelim?

Answer: The attainment of the connection or dependence of the light on the Kli is the attainment of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Questions about Self-Sacrifice

566.01Question: How do we distinguish self-sacrifice from narcissism?

Answer: You need to approach yourself soberly, look at all your shortcomings, weigh your strengths, and evaluate how you can overcome these shortcomings on your own.

Question: The more efforts we make in self-sacrifice, the more suffering increases. Why does this happen?

Answer: This is how you feel now. It is in self-sacrifice that we will feel great joy and adhesion with the Creator.

Question: Self-sacrifice seems easy when it is a one-time movement. But this is a serious and lengthy process. How can I feel it? It is easy to jump up once with your saber drawn. How does one live in self-sacrifice?

Answer: Every minute, every second, jump out with a saber against your internal enemies.

Question: Is self-sacrifice an individual or a group state?

Answer: This is an individual state.

Question: Is there a difference if I sacrifice everything to adhere to the Creator or so that my friends will do it?

Answer: There is a big difference. When you sacrifice yourself for the sake of your friends, then it is indeed a great sacrifice and a great action.

Question: Can self-sacrifice be fictitious? After all, everything we do is a game.

Answer: No, self-sacrifice is not a game. You are actually sacrificing something relatively dear to you.

Question: Can we say that true love is self-sacrifice? If I do not sacrifice anything for my friends, does that mean I do not truly love them?

Answer: Not only do you not love them, you hate them because you have the opportunity to come closer to them in love, but you push away this opportunity.
