Question: How can we maintain the special connection that we have tuned into among ourselves at the congress?

Answer: Kabbalah, on the one hand, is a somewhat unrealistic science because it does not operate within the physical qualities of our sensations. On the other hand, it is absolutely real because we must not only study and explore it, but also create it, and not simply create it, but do so out of our opposite qualities.

In this movement of studying the opposite qualities, we must attract the concealed upper force of nature that holds, nourishes, births, saturates and fills everything. This is a quality of bestowal. It comes through a little, but it is still manifested and perceived by us in our egoistic qualities.

And here,  in connection with each other, we must manifest these qualities of nature, the qualities of selfless bestowal. And in the measure we strive for this, we begin to feel that there is such a quality of real, true love in nature, which is called “the Creator.” But it is concealed because we ourselves conceal it since we do not have such qualities and feelings or such relations between us.

Therefore, the Creator broke the original single desire He created so that in all possible attempts to connect between us, we could somehow understand what is opposite to us, and start trying to reveal it and pull it out of concealment.

So we will act as the Kabbalists advise us; we will attack the concealment of the Creator because there is only Him and His concealment, which we must negate with our efforts. We need to create such connections between us in order to reveal this quality of love and bestowal, then, in the way our relationships resemble the Creator, He will be revealed in them.

Question: You said that the Creator does not exist. How do we become something that does not exist?

Answer: Just build Him. Create a Creator out of your feelings, desires, yearnings, and relationships, otherwise He does not exist. After all, the Creator is revealed only with regard to us, so we cannot say whether something exists outside of us and without us at all.

One day we will acquire the ability to feel something outside of us. But this is already in the complete quality of bestowal when we rise above ourselves and all of us begin to work with reflected light. Then we will enter new realms of connection and integration.

It is ahead of us; it is not far. Basically, the Creator is something that is attained and created between us. So let’s build Him.

Question: When we get some minimal revelation, do we still remain researchers of the shattering? Is that our role in this world anyway?

Answer: No, our job is that at the same time we reveal our shattering, separation, and the opposition between us, we would strive for the opposite, which means, to unite all the way to love. We should not stop only at revealing that we are egoists and engage in self-criticism. We should strive precisely to create the Creator between us.

Question: And afterward?

Answer: And afterward, to reveal the Creator means to create a Creator from our destroyed, mutilated relationships. This is what building the Creator, revealing Him, means.

Comment: But then, further ahead step after step, we march into the shattering. It’s like we’re going to help put the world together piece by piece.

My Response: Because we reveal this whole world as our state. Not only am I with you or with the ten, but we are beginning to reveal that the whole world is every single one of us, and so we achieve a complete attitude to the whole world. These are our desires, we must put them all together, and not only on the human, but at the same time on the animal, vegetative, and inanimate levels.

And all this will be the substrate for us, the basis on which we will feel the appearance of the Creator, meaning the revelation of the qualities of love between all, the quality of the highest connection, the fullest inclusion in each other.

In this increasing, progressive inclusion within each other, we will begin to attain the kind of quality called “Creator,” but precisely in relation to us. In general, this quality is the only thing that exists in the universe, and “There is None Else but Him.”

Question: Is it correct to wait for everything in the ten to turn into good, so that all friction disappears?

Answer: I don’t think it’s right to wait. It will not work. You can wait an infinite number of years until the upper force starts to force you to move forward with a stick from above so that you understand that your condition needs to be corrected. In no case can we wait for something that has to happen some day. This is the worst attitude to life.

We must act. If you help each other in your group, then it is no longer scary and not difficult. By doing this you are excited by others, and you act on them yourself and thus move forward. If the right relationships are built between friends in the group and you start pushing them so that they begin to work, then automatically everyone helps each other, inspires each other, and everybody moves forward.

And waiting is the most dangerous feeling. There is nothing to wait for.

Question: If I am in a group, I should not accept quarrels, frictions, and interferences within the ten. Is that right?

Answer: No. All this needs to be corrected, not just rejected. I’m talking about being active. In this regard, everyone should understand each other; if I do not inspire others, then they will not inspire me and we will not advance.

Question: We must satisfy the desire of our neighbor, that is, our friend, for his own good. What does “his own good” mean?

Answer: I do not know what “his own good” means. I just know what I would like to receive for myself. That is the same thing I want to give to a friend. And that’s all.

Therefore the property of love does not need any special explanations unless you forget that to love another means to treat him like yourself.

The importance of the work is precisely when one comes to a state of zero, when one sees that he annuls his whole existence and being, for then the will to receive has no power. Only then does one enter the Kedusha. (Baal HaSulam, Shamati,  19. “What Is ‘The Creator Hates the Bodies,’ in the Work?”)

However, before annulment a person has a big job when he does not want anything for himself. He wants only one thing: to be at the state of zero as if he absolutely does not exist and egoism has no control. Only after that he begins to enter the spiritual world, the feeling of the Creator.

In the wisdom of Kabbalah, we call this Tzimtzum, restriction. At the same time the desire does not disappear, it is just restricted, and then we enter into other qualities. On the other side of working with our will to receive, we already operate with it as if for the sake of bestowal.

Question: How can I annul my existence at this moment?

Answer: Try to do it physically. This is why we are created in the corporeal world. It does not matter if we are in egoism or in altruism. We are taking the first steps in our world where we can exist physically, i.e., be in contact with each other, regardless of our internal qualities.

We must try to do what Kabbalists advise. Begin with annulling ourselves in practice before the friends in the ten. Whatever the ten decides within the framework of our common advancement I must accept unconditionally with joy, understanding that it pulls me to the goal. And move forward with this.

Question: Right now, I am sitting at the lesson. I have a million different desires and thoughts. How can I annul them before my friends?

Answer: This is why we have preparation for the lesson. We must be prepared for the fact that we are going to annul ourselves before our friends. All I want to do now is to be inside my heart, to focus within it only my desire for connection with the Creator, with the purpose of creation. For the sake of this, I annul myself and get integrated with the friends. That is, I need to completely annul myself before my group.

I want to be inside them. I want to be together with them specifically in this boat, which we all form from our desires and yearnings.

Question: How can I help a friend through prayer if prayer means judging yourself?

Answer: There are many types of prayer. A request comes when man feels that he still needs to annul himself. Apart from that, practically nothing else is needed. As we annul ourselves, we join the group. This is what we must ask for how to make ourselves a zero. Our spiritual ascent will begin from this zero.

Question: And you need to attune yourself for this?

Answer: Of course! I must attune myself to the fact that I cancel myself before my friends and that the Creator sent this state to us on purpose.

And this is the greatest help from Him, to, even in my egoistic state, have such an example, such an opportunity to be physically connected with others although I have absolutely no feelings for them. I must work on my feelings, my desire to be one with them, within one desire, yearning to the Creator.

The rest of their desires, in principle, do not interest me. They can be different. We all have different professions, families, and inclinations. And we have one thing in common: we want to attain the Creator. We study the methodology and begin to understand more and more that only through uniting can we attain Him together. Therefore, I am with them.

It is impossible for a man to raise himself and break out of his circle. It is like trying to lift myself by my own hair, and it is clear that I cannot do it.

Therefore, a person must get sustenance from one’s environment, that is, gain strength, the correct intention, and loftiness and greatness of the goal from the environment. If a person receives all this from the environment, then he will be able to raise himself above himself, above his egoism.

And we have many environments we get sustenance from: home, work, former acquaintances, and friends. But the most important thing is to put my group above all of them because as far as it will determine in me the highest properties and preferences of development, so I will be able to develop and not otherwise.

A person should check himself about how he can rise above the rest of the world, above all its potentials and attractions, so that the group can give him the utmost greatness, strongest feeling of the goal, which is that there is nothing higher than attaining the Creator and no possibility, no other means, of reaching the Creator except through the group.

Each of us already knows for sure that there is a little egoist inside him. And as we advance, we will reveal an even bigger egoist in us. It will grow and grow in us, as it is written: “Anyone who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater than him.”

Therefore, we must constantly take care that the environment, the group, that shows us the path to spirituality, to higher development, from everyone in our surroundings, always prevails over all our other groups and values.

Therefore, if a person chooses a good environment for himself, then he gains time and effort. But the environment itself cannot be good or bad, it is the way we make it. We cannot change ourselves, but we can affect the environment we find ourselves in.

The Creator brings us into a group, puts our hand on good fortune and says: “Take it, I give you this opportunity!” And now it depends on a person how to realize this opportunity the Creator has given him. It is only to strengthen oneself in this environment. And strengthening depends only on how much we will raise the group in our eyes, move away from all our natural calculations, prerequisites, and engage in raising the right environment that will show us our goal and within which we can achieve this goal.

Therefore, if a person chooses a good environment for himself, then he gains both in time and effort. That is, each of us can very quickly achieve the goal. We determine the time, the amount of effort, and shortness of the path by raising the environment above ourselves. And then, by adhering to this environment, we fly straight forward to the goal of creation, to the full revelation of the Creator in us.

Without our unity, we cannot attain and reveal the Creator. After all, the Creator is revealed as the central point of our unity that everything came from and everything must return to.

The greatness of the friends is first in the fact that the Creator chose them. That is, they are the ones chosen by the Creator.

Second, I see how much they are aiming for the same goal. That is, the Creator placed in them a desire that I value and it is precious to me.

Third, friends can help me, and I cannot achieve my goal without them. Without them, I am absolutely nobody and nothing. Everything I can receive for attaining the Creator comes only from them.

Therefore, by receiving from them all kinds of qualities, intentions, and yearnings, I can come to the Creator. I myself have nothing with which I can come to the Creator. I am completely disconnected from the Creator with my qualities and thoughts.

The group is a connector that connects me to the Creator. Without a group, I cannot adhere to the Creator. It is for me like the placenta is for a fetus, a place for a fetus in the uterus. The fetus cannot attach to the uterus itself. It must first attach to the placenta and then to the uterus through it. The uterus is a female organ, and the placenta connects the fetus to the uterus.

The Creator is the spiritual womb and the entire upper organism, and the placenta, which connects the growing soul with the Creator, is the group. Therefore, if I do not attach myself to the group, to the friends, and do not connect with them into one common whole, then I have no connection with the Creator and no opportunity to reach it in the future.

Therefore, there is only one solution: always forward and not a step back.

The proof of my inclusion in the environment is that I care about this environment more than about myself. And I see myself only as a result, as a product, of this environment.

A person begins to feel that he himself does not exist but only the environment of which he is a consequence. That is, he has nothing of his own but only what he receives from the environment. The environment shapes him and constantly gives birth to him.

And this is where the real freedom of man manifests. He broke away from himself, from his egoism, and completely united with the environment, which from that moment onward completely defines him. That is, each person enters the system of the ten, which begins to operate as the ten Sefirot of the soul.
