Question: I clearly recognize that I have the most terrible properties. But the Creator gave me a lifeline: He gave me a teacher, friends, and the sources. How can I reach the middle line from the state I want to escape?
Answer: The Creator gave you a heart and it should help you feel where you exist: either inside the house with the host (with the Creator), or outside of the house without the host (without the Creator), or like a horse who receives what it is supposed to receive but no more than that. Here it all depends on where you feel yourself. The Creator wants us to see ourselves next to Him, together with Him, in His house.
Comment: But I want to escape this terrible state I am in.
My Response: Frankly I do not see anything bad in you that you could complain about to the Creator. You have been given everything that the Creator gives to a person in our world, a special person, and you have to take it, be grateful, and try to show to the Creator how you relate to Him.
Question: I want to find the correct path so I could give contentment to the Creator. There is a need for annulment, I annul myself; I have to pray, I pray. What else can I do in order to give Him contentment?
Answer: Nothing more. Just bond with the Creator and that is all.

Question: I see a huge desire for honor within myself that keeps growing. It greatly hinders my spiritual work. In addition to restriction, should something happen with my intention?
Answer: Do you want this desire for honor not to arise at all? So what can you do? You need to draw the upper light upon yourself, but in such a way that it influences and corrects this desire.
Question: Is it impossible to use this desire for good later?
Answer: No, you will be able to use it for the good, but only through inversion. You will have that opportunity, but only after correction. For now, try not to use this desire.
Question: If during a lesson, I feel the urge to ask a question and sense that it comes from a desire for honor, would it be an effort if I choose not to ask the question and instead try to find the answer on my own?
Answer: That might be the case. However, for the most part, you should still ask questions that are essential for your further spiritual elevation.

Question: How can you work with pain correctly when it is so strong that you simply cannot do anything?
Answer: There are states when pain and loss are so intense that a person cannot rise above them to the correct appeal to the Creator.
Nothing can be done; you must gradually change yourself and strive for another feeling of the Creator, to move from “What is He doing to me?” to the state where you can ask Him for correction.
Question: If a person feels that he is spiritually ill, but does not know what exactly the problem is, should he analyze his condition or immediately turn to the Creator without trying to clarify it?
Answer: You must first find out why this is happening and what your problem is. Then you will see how you should solve it by getting closer to the Creator, making a greater effort in your studies, or being more connected in the group. In this way, you can heal yourself.

Question: On one hand I strive for light, but on the other hand, I am an egoist and want to enjoy. But it turns out that I do not need to strive for the light or strive in a different way because this is night for me.
Answer: Yes, now you are beginning to understand your state.
Question: It says that I should strive, not for the light, but for faith. What does this mean?
Answer: These are different things. The fact is that a person can attain the quality of faith, which will give him a sense of getting closer to the Creator, and then can constantly invoke this quality upon himself.
But if he is not aware that he lacks faith. It is written about this: “Hence, the light becomes darkness for them, and the potion of life is turned into a potion of death for them. It is about them that the writing says,’ Woe onto you who awaits for the day of the Lord; it’s darkness and not light!” (Baal HaSulam, “Introduction to The Study of the Ten Sefirot”).
That means that first we must find the light of faith by which we can discern where we are. Are we on the path that leads to the Creator or the path that leads away from the Creator?

Answer: The Creator gives you such circumstances. What you feel in yourself as fulfillment is the Creator’s answer.
Question: What is this special prayer when I pray for a friend’s health? Sometimes no matter how much I ask, the friend remains sick. Something is happening that I cannot influence. How should I relate to this correctly?
Answer: You need to rise to the level where you can see that everything depends on you. Every person, all the people in the world, in every moment of life, depends entirely on you. So you just need to elevate this importance.

Question: How can we raise the Hissaron (deficiency) to the Creator through our friends in the group? What are the practical mechanics of this action?
Answer: The fact is that I cannot personally be connected with the Creator. I must achieve a connection with Him through the group, through my friends.
Only through the connection with them do we eventually reach the state where we turn to the Creator, and He can respond to us through these same states.
Question: In our world a diagnosis results from contact with a doctor. Does the revelation of the evil inclination testify to contact with the Creator?
Answer: Yes, the revelation of the evil inclination is indeed evidence of contact with the Creator.

Comment: When we lose connection with the Creator, we turn into a herd. Yesterday for example, a woman on crutches was almost trampled over on the bus.
My Response: You are shown from above what you really are.
Question: How can we not lose the human face we are trying to find here?
Answer: You do not have it yet, so you feel the kind of face you do have.
Question: Many people want to leave Kabbalah because of this.
Answer: Let them go. You know, I am not worried about anyone. If a person does not understand he has nowhere to go; let him leave and realize he has no other place.
If not this time around, he will die and be reborn; it will take several decades before he begins to think about the meaning of life again. So it will not be our group or me, but something else. He will get there; he cannot escape it. Every person will reach their point of correction.
So there is no need to worry. We must do everything in our power. If we do not, it is a minus for us. But if we have done everything we can and the friend has left anyway, let him be, and we will meet in Gmar Tikkun (Final Correction).
