Question: A year has passed since the catastrophe on October 7th when the war began.
Terrorists from Gaza broke into Israeli territory and killed 1,432 people including 341 women and 36 children, one of whom was a 10-month-old baby.
251 people were taken hostage and transported to Gaza and 97 of them are still in captivity.
The phrase that had been said before: “Quiet for quiet”—if you’re quiet with us, we will be quiet with you did not work. On October 7th they started killing us.
A year has passed. What should we understand about ourselves and our society after these events?
Answer: We need to understand that we must not fear anyone. We must not show anyone that we can forgive when they come to kill us. We should not do that.
We must clearly understand that our salvation is only in our own hands, only in our weapons, and in nothing else.
Question: Do you think the events of October 7th changed how we perceive ourselves as a nation?
Answer: I think they did. They changed us.
Before October 7th we had hoped for some semblance of mutual, humane relations with others. After this we understand that such a thing is no longer possible, not in any way! Therefore, we now have greater confidence that we will not be dragged into another mess of egoism, bloodlust, and so on, as we were on October 7th.
Question: How can we ensure that the pain from these events stays with us? And should it?
Answer: It should. It is forever! For as long as we live on this Earth, we must remember that our neighbors are our most bitter enemies. We must never allow ourselves any weakness in this regard.
Question: How will we achieve peace?
Answer: That is when peace will come.
Question: So when we talk about peace, at the same time, do we always know that they do not want it? Is that how it works?
Answer: Yes, that they do not want it and do not even think about it. But when you think about war, then they will strive for peace.
Question: So if I ask you what steps we should take toward peace, are these the steps you are talking about?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Think about peace but at the same time?
Answer: Arm yourself.
Question: You always talk about unity, the unity of the people, and you say that this is our main weapon. It is clear to most people that unity is probably the most important thing. So why can’t we unite? Please explain.
Answer: Because we still do not truly understand within ourselves how necessary it is.
Question: Do we not have that understanding yet?
Answer: No.
Question: Does it come through suffering or what?
Answer: Gradually, through blows, we begin to realize that unity is in fact the most important thing.
Question: But through blows?
Answer: Yes.
Question: So if we do not realize it now, do you expect more to come?
Answer: Definitely.
Question: How can we realize this in a peaceful way, as they say, through light and not through darkness?
Answer: We must become such a strong light that they will fear us.
Question: When you say “we must become a light,” what do you mean?
Answer: That in our desire for peace, we are willing to do everything necessary so that those who oppose it cease to exist.
Question: When you talk about our desire for peace, do you mean peace with our neighbors? Or peace in general?
Answer: Yes.
Comment: And at the same time, you say that we must always be preemptive.
My Response: Of course.
Question: So Israel should always have a policy of preempting strikes.
But how did it happen that for 20 years we lived knowing that in the south they were digging underground Gaza and in the north Hezbollah was arming itself? We knew all this, and yet we somehow lived on. Can you explain this to me? I am trying to understand the mindset of the leadership or even of ourselves.
Something terrible was brewing nearby, and we did not act. Why? Can you tell me what this kind of complacency was about?
Answer: We wanted to appear kind, good, and peace-loving to each other and to the whole world. But this is a terrible delusion.
Question: Really? Should we not care about the world, about the world’s opinion?
Answer: Not at all!
Question: What should we care about?
Answer: Only about the necessity of our existence as the people of Israel because our existence is aimed at achieving the highest state of humanity.
Question: So you call our position, even a corporeal one, the center of the world?
Answer: Yes.
Comment: Today this is becoming more and more apparent. You have always said this actually, that this is the central problem, the central point of the world.
My Response: Yes.
Question: What healing process must we go through?
Answer: We must explain to everyone that the world exists for the purpose of bringing all nations together, uniting them around the most important thing in the world, which is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Question: Are you saying that the whole world should somehow push us toward that?
Answer: Yes.
Question: The world should constantly signal to us that we need to do that?
Answer: Yes.
Question: For them?
Answer: For everyone. This is the central point of the entire existence of the universe.

Internal Separation Is More Frightening Than The External Enemy
To guarantee our staying in the land, then the facts before us pose a great threat to us, since matters are developing favorably for our enemies, who seek to destroy us from the face of the Earth.
It is also clear that the enormous effort that the rugged road ahead requires of us mandates unity that is as solid and as hard as steel, from all parts of the nation, without exception (Baal HaSulam, The Nation).
Baal HaSulam issued that warning 85 years ago when in the newspaper he wrote and published. But we see that from the very birth of the nation of Israel until the present day that we have been accompanied by internal separation, and despite all the suffering and difficult circumstances we have endured, the people are unable to unite. This has been intentionally arranged as preparation for the correction that our people must carry out thereby setting an example for all other nations.
Meanwhile, we are incapable of uniting even under the condition that external pressure holds us together like nuts in a sack. Nevertheless, throughout our long history, we have been forced to take steps toward greater closeness with each other, to becoming more aware, and to agreeing that someday our unity will indeed become a reality.
A nation that has existed in separation, both material and spiritual, for thousands of years and until today, will eventually rise, desire to correct itself, and pull all of humanity along with it.
Especially these days, on the anniversary of the tragic events of October 7th, we must realize the necessity of uniting and consolidating the nation into one union. We should recall our history to see how time and time again we encounter the same problems in our development and are unable to deal with them properly, which allows them to grow to enormous proportions until we begin to fight them. And so, it repeats year after year.
I hope that our Bnei Baruch group will be able to bring about this transition of the entire nation to complete unity around which all the nations of the world will unite and see their future in it.

What Do You Do When The Creator Is Everywhere?
Sukkot is temporary residence. …they said, “Leave the permanent residence and dwell in temporary residence” (Baal HaSulam, Shamati, 96, “What Is Waste of Barn and Winery, in the Work?”).
When a person leaves his permanent home, he finds himself in a state without a home. Therefore, he must surely find a place where he can “land.” This is a temporary dwelling. One begins to feel he can get comfortable there.
When a person reaches such a state, even while still in the process of searching, he begins to understand what his permanent home and temporary home mean. By agreeing to a temporary home, he feels how much the Creator brings him closer to Himself and is filled with a sense of happiness.
This is the Sukkot holiday, when a person leaves his permanent home and goes into a field or a forest, it doesn’t matter where, and arranges for a temporary dwelling for himself there.
Therefore, a temporary dwelling, a hut, is not intended for living in it but only for moving from one level to another. While a permanent home is a corrected Kli, it is a home we must return to.

Question: It is said that we should strive for a state of rest, but what about the Kabbalistic postulate: “If not me, then who?” How can you be at peace if the Creator expects you to act?
Answer: At the same time you can be at peace because you consider this state to be the most stable, the most correct.
Question: Does the degree of rest depend on our choice?
Answer: Yes, it does.
Question: Can I determine my state by the influence of the power of rest on me?
Answer: No, not yet. You have to enter and exit the state of rest into the opposite several times while trying not only to achieve peace, but also actual spiritual actions, and then you will begin to feel your place in the system of forces.

Question: It is said that a complete righteous person is one who has corrected their past. What does that mean?
Answer: To correct the past means that you no longer reveal current or especially past transgressions because all of them are transformed into entirely just and proper actions. Such a person is called a complete righteous (Tzadik Gamur).
Question: But is it possible to correct the past?
Answer: Of course. Past transgressions are covered by present correction, so we should not worry about them. They will be corrected along the way.
In principle, the past, present, and future exist only in relation to our perceptions. In reality, none of these truly exist.

Question: When you stand before the Creator in trembling, like during an exam, and you’ve passed this exam, you experience a state of powerlessness because you’ve done everything you could. What is this state?
Answer: It is indeed a state of powerlessness because you have given everything according to all your feelings.
Question: The Creator knows what is in every person’s heart. So why do we still need to give an answer to the Creator? Is this like a reverse connection to the Creator?
Answer: Of course, you need to work on the connection with Him.
Question: If a person feels a longing for the Creator, what should they do with this longing?
Answer: Pray, pour it out to the Creator.
Question: How can we develop a deeper emotional closeness with each other?
Answer: Think about it more.

Question: What should we fight for every day, every minute, every moment? What is the spiritual battle in which the Creator must always prevail?
Answer: We must fight for all our actions, not only physical but also mental, to have a purposeful meaning; otherwise, we won’t move forward. We need to reach the point where our actions come only from the good inclination.

Question: How can the quality of suffering point to the action the Creator expects from us?
Answer: It is pretty simple. The Creator always awaits only one action—unification with others and a request for Him to fill everyone. That is all.
Question: Sometimes there is a lack of a specific connection with some part of the Kli, which we cannot always determine. Perhaps it is possible to understand precisely where this connection is missing from suffering.
Answer: Keep stubbornly moving forward, and you will see that the Creator exposes this connection and is waiting for you.
Question: You said we need to build connections based on our achievements, not on what we lack. So should we not pay much attention to what we lack in our connections?
Answer: You should be mindful of it, but not in a way that stops you.

What Does the Creator Want?
Today is a very foggy time. Everything that we once thought was understandable is incomprehensible. It is unclear if it is a man or a woman, if it is real news or if everything is rigged. It is unclear whether this is the leader of the country or his double. It is unclear whether this is being said by a human or an artificial intelligence, whether it is true or false. Everything is mixed up.
What is all this for? Why are we being driven to complete disbelief in what I see and hear?
Answer: This is really a serious matter. It is so that we would need in the Creator.
Question: Is it His doing to confuse everything for us?
Answer: These are His actions so that we would feel ourselves in a state of confusion so we would have no possible reasonable, correct action left except to grab hold of Him and cling to Him like a child.
Question: So we must be brought to such a state that we will turn to Him?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Is there any other way we can turn to the Creator? There are prayers, prayer books, religions. Aren’t these appeals to the Creator?
Answer: No, they don’t save you.
Question: Alexander asks another question: “Who should I believe today?” Is there anyone on this earthly plane who can be trusted?
Answer: Of course not.
Question: Is it possible to live without believing in anything, in anyone?
Answer: That is how we get used to it.
Question: So you think that the whole of humanity will be brought to such a state?
Answer: Yes.
Question: If such a request, a prayer to the Creator, were really raised, what would happen? Would He answer?
Answer: The Creator answers anyway, but we do not understand His answers. He tells us that if we go the right way, that is, give up our selfish goals, then we will raise ourselves to the next level of development.
We will be completely different there. First of all, we will not be immersed in ourselves, in egoists. We will strive to make it so that it is the same for everyone. And the most important thing for us will be to act in a way that we feel the need to hold on to each other together.
This is what the Creator wants to lead us to.
Question: Are you talking about the whole of humanity now?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Is the relationship between people, between countries, between everything like this?
Answer: Yes., this is our next step.
Question: Why don’t we want to move toward it? It sounds very attractive, with all our reality.
Answer: Should I think about others? I cannot and I do not want to. This is what every person feels.
Question: And will the Creator give us this opportunity if we can turn to Him?
Answer: Yes.
Question: But should I want this particular next step?
Answer: I have to come to it, to the fact that I must want it.
Comment: It seems that one can want it coming from something very bad.
My Response: So we are gradually getting down to it.
Question: That is, we will be brought to something very bad so that we ask: “Give us the opportunity to be together”?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Alexander also has this question: “Is it necessary to break through to the truth? And how to get to it if necessary?” He says, “Everything around us is untrue, everything is a lie.”
Answer: And we do not know what the truth is.
Question: That is what he is asking: “What is the truth?”
Answer: We do not know that. So what are we going to fight our way to? Just because we do not like our current state does not mean we know how to get out of it. And it turns out to be what it turns out to be.
Question: He is asking you: “What do you personally call the truth?”
Answer: The truth is that in my eyes all people are exactly the same.
Question: Do you mean equality, equals?
Answer: Yes.
Question: So, all people are equal?
Answer: All people. If I want to see it that way and go for it, then it is considered that it is true.
Question: Am I the same as them?
Answer: Absolutely! That is when we will find out what kind of truth it is, what kind of taste it has.
