In order to gather the whole force of the light and spread it to humanity, we need to be highly interconnected. Then we will be able to become conduits of the highest light to the world. In principle, this is our task and our destiny. The Creator pushes us, and we must achieve it.

We must be the link between the Creator and all mankind. Therefore, on one hand, we need to somehow hold on to humanity, but the most important thing is to connect with the Creator.

We must know what the true commutation with the Creator and with the created beings means so as to turn, as Baal HaSulam writes, into a pipeline through which the upper light will pass to all humanity.

Question: How can I imagine bestowal as a good force if the beginning of this action happens in the quality of reception and my egoism does not perceive bestowal as good?

Answer: You play at it. As Rabash writes: He must believe above reason and imagine that he has already been rewarded with faith in the Creator that is felt in his organs, and he sees and feels that the Creator leads the entire world as the good who does good (Rabash, Article No. 28 (1987), “What Is Do Not Add and Do Not Take Away in the Work?”).

You need to attune yourself to it, and you will see that this is what happens. The fact that you used to see it in a completely different way was only because egoism painted a completely different picture of the world for you.

You must pull yourself by force to the correct picture of the world and create it in connection with your friends. You have to play at it all the time in the group. All the time!

Really, what is the problem? Did you not play games as a child? My whole life has been a game. Today, as a matter of fact, it is also a game. So stop pretending to be understanding, serious, and far from games. I advise you to start playing.

Question: Is playing in a higher degree and working in faith above reason the same thing?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Now, within reason, I try to see my friends higher all the time. And if I will come to constantly work in faith above reason, then what is the difference?

Answer: That you would not have to imagine to yourself that they are like that because you will actually see that they are higher than you.

The attainment of faith above reason should be developed in each of us with the help of a technique called mutual guarantee. We cannot raise and correct ourselves, but if we are in a group, then each can guarantee for the other.

We guarantee that we will inspire the friends, give an example, and support each other so that everyone understands how responsible he or she is for others, and in this way one also helps oneself

Our work, although it consists of correcting ourselves, it in fact leads to the correction of the whole world, and there is no difference between me and the world. I must take care of everyone.

Therefore, mutual guarantee is the law of connection between all individual souls into one single soul—Adam.

Question: How can we attract the light of the Creator to our connection so that it begins to work correctly in us?

Answer: Ask the Creator about this together. Only that! Agree among yourselves and ask.

Question: But how should we feel it? How should it manifest itself in us so that we understand that the light has influenced us?

Answer: You will feel it by the change in your attitude to the world, to your friends, and to yourself. The influence of the Creator should change the direction of your desire from the fact that you push others away to the fact that you will attract others. You will see how your view of the world changes from egoistic to altruistic.

This is the only thing that needs to change. Everything else will be the consequence of your internal changes.

The Philosopher’s stone, in Western alchemy, an unknown substance, also called “the tincture” or “the powder,” sought by alchemists for its supposed ability to transform base metals into precious ones, especially gold and silver. 

Alchemists also believed that an elixir of life could be derived from it. Inasmuch as alchemy was concerned with the perfection of the human soul, the philosopher’s stone was thought to cure illnesses, prolong life, and bring about spiritual revitalization. (Encyclopaedia Britannica)

Comment: But this is only symbolism because in this transformation lies the ability to subjugate the world. According to their assertion and ideas, if I subjugate the world, I approach God.

My Response: Of course. If I transform any element into anything even physically, then I become the Creator to some extent. But the fact is that alchemists tried to do this on the still level. In principle, it is possible to do the reshuffling of electrons, neutrons, and protons in the atomic nucleus and remake them.

Let’s say I have electrons in one box, protons in another, neutrons in the third, and so on. And so I make precious metals out of them. Do you need gold? Please, I will assemble gold, silver, iron, bronze, no problem, any item. And what will we achieve by this?

This is a purely technological problem, and if it is solved, the person will not be happier from that. He will not achieve the meaning of life, he will not become omnipotent. Everyone will have several tons of gold at home. What will he do with it?

Comment: The symbolism lies precisely in the fact that by subjugating others, dominating others, I achieve the status of the Creator.

My Response: No. Not at all, because the Creator’s objective was to create man so that he would reach His level. Myself!

And the level of the Creator is not in creating all sorts of golden spillikins, but in being similar to the Creator in His status, in His properties of bestowal and love.

The Creator created us with His light. This light consists of 613 properties of bestowal and love, 613 types of emanation of good.

We are created as their imprint. And therefore, we have 613 egoistic desires to be filled with these lights. We must transform our desires so that they work as 613 properties of bestowal and love in each one of us.

Question: By fulfilling the law of mutual guarantee, we take care of all the needs of a friend. Does this include corporeal needs?

Answer: If necessary, we should think about physical assistance to a friend as well. But these are additional, extreme cases.

In principle, we are talking about spiritual help where I understand that by thinking about, supporting a friend, and inspiring him with the greatness of the goal, confidence, and my support, I help him advance. And so it should be, each one with respect to everyone at least in the ten, in the group.

Question: Is mutual guarantee a part of the self-cancellation, annulment?

Answer: Of course. In order to fulfill the principle of mutual guarantee, a person must first cancel himself. Otherwise, how can he think and care about others?

Question: When I see that everyone in the ten is above me and everyone is perfect, how can I make suggestions correctly in order to improve what we are doing?

Answer: If you could really, truly see the ten above yourself, you would not hide from it, but would look through it at the whole world, then you would simply see the Creator.

Then the ten would turn into a spiritual Partzuf, a spiritual Kli (vessel), and you would turn into its Malchut. The Creator would fill all the first nine Sefirot, and that would be the end of it.
