Human Nature: Peep And Eavesdrop

623Question: There is a phrase: “What is impossible to observe openly, a person observes secretly.” With the development of the Internet, the line between observation and peeping has been completely erased. What has always been hidden is open and accessible to everyone.

According to recent studies, this is defined as the experience of certain stimulating emotions that cause a person to develop. That is, he receives the strength that makes him go further.

Why do people like to spy on others?

Answer: Because at the same time a person, first, evaluates himself above others. This is the first impulse: they do not see me, but I see them. I’m kind of cooler than them, and that’s the most important thing. Secondly, maybe it gives him the opportunity to command them or somehow defend against them, etc.

But, in general, peeping is a great help to our egoism, which expands the ego and makes us feel like rulers, masters, owning circumstances.

Question: Is the feeling of such power good or bad?

Answer: This is neither good nor bad. This should lead us to reassess our values so that we understand that all our egoism, all our desires to be better, stronger, and smarter than others are wrong. After all, in the end, relative to nature, we act as one single whole—humanity.

To position ourselves correctly, we must unite among ourselves. And then we will be able to correctly manage our own destiny, nature, and the world. By uniting, we lower our selfishness and raise our altruism. Then we can truly rise above our selfish nature and will not abuse the idea of spying and eavesdropping.

Why Are All The Spiritual Sources Written In Hebrew?

527.04Question: Why are all the sources, all the global spiritual writings like the Torah, Ecclesiastes, and the Book of Psalms, written in Hebrew?

Answer: It is because the letters of the Hebrew language don’t change, and it is impossible to express them differently. Take any source you like that is thousands of years old and a modern book and you will see that not a single letter has changed.

It is just like a mathematical formula, if you change one symbol with another, you would not be understood, and it would also lead to nothing.

Besides, it isn’t about just another symbol, although a letter in the pure sense is a symbol. When you express your feelings through letters, you affect the world. A letter connects you to the internal system of the world, and by that you seemingly press the buttons, and do something inside the internal system.

Comment: But when we look at a book now, we don’t see or feel anything at all.

My Response: It is a multi-layered system, and even when an ordinary person looks at these letters, he still penetrates the system to a certain degree and receives some illumination. The light operates on him.

There are people who don’t understand the language at all, but during the lesson they place the book in front of them and look at it, even if they cannot follow the text, and the text impacts them.

When Good Is Clothed In Evil

207Zohar For All, VaYera, Item 375: Similarly, on a day when there is Din in the world and the Creator sits at the throne of judgment, that Satan is there slandering above and below. He is there to destroy the world and to take people’s souls, since he is Satan, the angel of death.

Comment: We say that there is no one in the world beside the Creator. Yet, it turns out, there is also Satan.

My Response: In the “warehouse” of the Creator there is not only Satan but also Pharaoh, good and evil angels, the angel of death, and so on.

Question: What about “There is none else besides Him”?

Answer: That is why they are in His “warehouse,” and He uses them, sends these forces in all directions, and He just controls them, pulls the strings. We are under the influence of both good and bad forces. Moreover, they are allegedly bad because everything is for good.

After all, in order to move us forward, it is necessary to push us from the opposite side. Here He is revealed to us in His different guises, with different faces: kind and evil, bad and good.

All this is in order to show man the inner meaning, to show him life, history, geography, all the development of humanity, the inner world of everyone, and so on. We must discover this from two opposite qualities.

What does the Creator do? He takes control over Satan and works through him. The good is clothed in evil in order to influence our evil and by this counterattack lead us to good. Otherwise, we, as egoists, would take the good in such a way as to selfishly seize it.

However, when this good is clothed in evil and as if the external evil from the Creator opposes our evil, then our discontent manifests and problems arise. We are forced to do something with ourselves.

Gradually, we become softer, open up, and become ready for the revelation of good. Then the Creator releases the good out of Himself, and we merge with each other. This is the only way we can influence each other: good for good and evil for evil.

It will not work out otherwise because others will not understand you. Try to treat well those who treat you badly, and you will see that by doing so you only awake even greater evil. But internally, one must still act with love and kindness.

On the outside, you must behave the way they do because only in this way can you force the opposite side to accept the method of correction. This is an elementary corporeal psychology. The Creator also works with us according to this principle.

There is nothing complicated about this. You just need to go a little deeper into the system of relationships that exists between us, see that it works, and use it precisely to understand the internal system of the universe and reach your spiritual ascent.

Turn Your Worldview Around

200.01Question: What is the spiritual meaning of cleaning for Passover? Why do we suddenly have to clean everything up?

Answer: The Passover cleaning symbolizes that we must completely purify ourselves from our egoistic desires and intentions.

Question: And are all these states described in the Passover Haggadah (Legend)?

Answer: Yes. They are displayed there purely symbolically. This is called Seder Pesach.

Seder” is the order of exit from Egypt, and “Pesach” is from the word “Pasach,” that is, the transition. This refers to the transition from egoism to altruism.

Question: In principle, this is a clear instruction on how a person crosses the Machsom?

Answer: Yes. But this is not a physical transition, but an internal one, for which you need to prepare a lot.

Question: And not just one person, but a group of people?

Answer: And how can it be that a person goes from egoism to altruism alone? This should be done in his connection with others, in his attitude toward others. He must transfer all concern from himself to others, all worry about himself to others, all his personal goals to general goals, all connections of himself with himself in connection with others. That is, he must completely turn his worldview around.

The Role Of A Kabbalist Teacher

938.04Question: What is the teacher’s part in the system of the spiritual Partzuf? Is he Keter that illuminates or Malchut that absorbs?

Answer: The teacher’s role, just as the role of the Creator, is not the actual Partzuf. With regard to you and to your ten, the teacher and the Creator are the external forces that format the group according to its desire.

If a small child, for example, yearns for something, wants something, or does something, he is constantly corrected while he doesn’t even pay attention to that and doesn’t know why or for what purpose. He is given a toy, he is put in a certain place, and then in another, etc.

The teacher performs such external actions with regard to the group. The Creator is already the general force that operates everything, including the teacher himself.

Humanity Versus Adam

600.04Comment: The nations of the world still accuse Adam of the fall into sin, and now we are supposedly tormented because of what he did on Earth.

My Response: We are not talking about a person in our world, but about the spiritual construction of Adam HaRishon. We are his consequence, his parts, as his soul shattered into many souls and these fragments exist in each of us.

Comment: That is, humanity is mistaken in the fact that he is to blame for all our troubles. In fact, everything that happened should have happened.

My Response: Who can talk about it?! What does humanity understand about the construction of Adam HaRishon (the first man) and his fall from the spiritual level into our world?

This all stands on the level of the world of Atzilut. It is necessary to study the structure of the upper worlds, their system, its functioning, and the way to maintain the balance. These are huge self-governing systems from which all the control signals descend on us, which receive reactions from us and are rearranged accordingly to constantly lead us forward.

This is a huge system, against which our Earth and our universe are not taken into account, although it is the center of attention of the entire system. We are the smallest.

Therefore, to say that we can blame someone using our brains, our understanding, is foolish. It is as if a child scolds his parents, saying: “Mom is bad, she does not give this to me!”

What Activates The Mechanism Of Faith Above Reason?

528.03Question: Is the concern of a mother for her baby a manifestation of faith above reason or does it have nothing to do with that? What triggers the mechanism of faith above reason?

Answer: There is no thing spiritual in any mechanism in the relationships between people, and especially physically, like between a mother and baby in which there is nothing spiritual. This can be summed up as an egoistic attraction of a mother to her baby. This attraction exists both among animals and humans and is nothing more.

The mechanism of faith above reason is activated by being found as much as possible in a group whose members have a single opinion and thought in which you mutually push each other toward activities that resemble spirituality, and gradually, according to your efforts, the Ohr Makif (surrounding light) bestows to you and develops in you the characteristic of Bina (the characteristic of bestowal, faith above reason). Faith is the characteristic of Bina, knowledge is Malchut—faith above reason.

Question: Does a person know how and when the light will bestow on him?

Answer: No, a person does not know. But if someone is studying the wisdom of Kabbalah and is participating together with their friends in this study, in the organization of events, then one will constantly think about how the upper light will influence them. He needs the light; therefore, he will strive to attract it.
