The Structure Of The Universe, Part 5

232.09Malchut’s Desire To Become Independent

Question: Let’s suppose I receive, do not even feel from whom, and it does not interest me. It is like when you give something to an animal and it doesn’t matter to it who you are.

But the light begins to develop Malchut in a way, that at the last stage, she begins to understand who is giving to her and she wants to become similar to the Creator.

Answer: Yes, it is so, contrary to her original desire. To do this, she has to abandon the actions she performed before.

Therefore, Malchut restricts herself, ceases to receive at all, and thus, at least somehow resembles the upper force, in which there is no desire to receive.

Then she begins to develop, which is dictated by completely different motives. Malchut decided that she absolutely has to be independent, otherwise she does not exist.

If she simply receives or simply stops receiving, as it happens in the four stages of direct light, she acts in full accordance with the direct light’s instructions. Therefore, this is what is called the four stages of direct light.

When can she become independent? Only if she will counteract the light. How can she do this? She agrees with all its actions only when she herself allows it to influence herself.

To the extent that she can protect herself from the influence of light and put herself in such a way as to first prevent its impact, and then resolve it, this will manifest her independence, her understanding of the Creator, and approval of His actions.

That is, when I limit my lack of independence and stop being an animal, I become a human. “Human” is “Adam” in Hebrew, and it comes from the word “similar – Domeh” to the Creator. To the extent that I can restrict myself from an unconscious animal receiving and make myself a conscious recipient, I am called Adam.

This is an absolute control, an understanding of what I am doing, and a manifestation of the properties of the Creator in me.

“The Cause of Recurring Mass Shootings in America (Part 1)” (Newsmax)

My article in Newsmax: “The Cause of Recurring Mass Shootings in America (Part 1)

Yet again, two deadly mass shootings within hours in Texas and Ohio have shocked America.
At least 31 people are dead and dozens wounded in both incidents, spreading fear, bewilderment and confusion throughout American society.

The same scenario replays over and over, only the locations and names change, fueling a blame game in a bitter political campaign for next year’s presidential race and rekindling the debate on gun control and right-wing extremism.

When will the bloodshed stop?

What Breeds Ongoing Violence in the U.S.?

The violence is the result of increasing egoism, i.e. self-benefit at the expense of others, everywhere in the world, and particularly in American culture.

Humanity looks to the United States for an example of positive, calm and peaceful relations. Such a state will never come about by drafting new laws, but only through a change in the way human nature operates in society: Instead of relating to each other through egoistic lenses, to develop new supportive, encouraging and understanding attitudes to every person. In order to reach that level of positive change, society needs to implement a method of connection that it has yet to realize.

El Paso’s deadly shooting, handled as domestic terrorism, underscored similar extremist views against immigrants, Jews, and other minorities seen in the supremacist acts of violence in a mosque in New Zealand and in the synagogue in Pittsburg and Poway, California, earlier this year. The motive behind the shooting in Dayton, Ohio, is still unclear. The 24-year-old gunman apparently showed radical liberal views and obsession with violence before the attack.

More provocations can be expected not because of Trump’s border wall with Mexico, the toughening of policies on migrants trespassing across the border, or because of the upcoming U.S. presidential elections. America is likely to experience many more similar difficult events as a direct result of major struggles in an increasingly egoistic society unless some action is taken.

Over 250 mass shootings have occurred in the U.S. since the beginning of 2019, and every event has served to increase public concern, but it is short-lived and vanishes as soon as a new item occupies the headlines. If this trend continues, since no one can find a real solution, the bloodshed that Americans will face is bound to become unbearable.

It is true that in America it is easy to purchase firearms, but the trigger finger is the result of the growing egoism in American society. Tension and aggravation accumulate daily until they explode in cruel ways. And when people feel like life is not worth living, their senseless acts reflect the worst that culture has taught them.

What the World Expects From the United States

It comes as no surprise that the U.S. faces so much trouble. American society is closely tied to the world’s opinion, and vice versa. Since World War II, the world has been immensely influenced by the United States. There is an innate expectation upon the highly developed and wealthy USA to enlighten the rest of the world and set a constructive trend for others to follow. If America succeeds, everyone will become fueled with a new kind of positive inspiration, but if it fails, it will need to absorb the blame.

The plethora of contrasts and conflicts that exist in humanity are more pronounced in the U.S. than elsewhere. These opposites exacerbate the differences between Democrats and Republicans, blacks and whites, American-born citizens and immigrants. The super-heated cauldron bubbles and erupts as violent events that shock the world.

The American vision includes two polar extremes: on one hand, the freedom to do whatever one wants, while on the other, the need to refrain from harming others. It is a country where every person is free to express him or herself, but should opt for moderation. It is a country where any person can walk around with a weapon for security, but should never shoot the gun unnecessarily. In practice, however, we do not see the materialization of these ideals outside the text of the Constitution.

As the world groans under the pressure of two conflicting forces — the global force of connection, and the separating power of the ego — we have entered into a state that increasingly resembles ancient Babylon 4,000 years ago prior to its collapse (more on that in Part 2 of this article). But today we cannot pull away from one another in order to calm our egos down. Our only option is to work on our connection, on our unity.

Human society today needs an addition of the unifying positive force that balances the negative power of our ego.

The question is how?

In Part 2 of this article, I will explain the method of connection for a harmonious and peaceful existence: a method devised back in the times of ancient Babylon by Abraham the Patriarch as a tested solution to rise above the growing social division and hatred of that time.

This article is Part 1 of a series.

Woman Directs, Man Implements

627.2Question: A woman can internally pass her desire to a man. Many women wish their men were closer to the Creator. What does it mean to pass this desire?

Answer: If a woman wants something from a man, she will always get it. The world is arranged this way.

A woman’s desire is not announced aloud. You know yourself how to influence a man quietly, without opening your mouth but in such a way that he feels as if he is beaten on the head. This is the correct action on behalf of a woman. It is intentionally arranged this way in nature. We, men, must accept this and even be happy that women have the opportunity to guide us on the right track.

If a woman wants her husband to move toward understanding the meaning of life, then, of course, this is a special woman and a great wife. Therefore, we must appreciate such women, set them as an example for others. And of course, we should help in some way so that husbands would appreciate and obey them. I wish to the ones who are not married to find such husbands.

Question: Can there be overkill from the women’s side?

Answer: No. Women have a very clear maternal attitude. She knows how to behave in relation to her husband. If she aspires to the purpose of creation, she really will be able to direct him. So it turns out that a man implements and a woman directs.

I can say from my forty years of experience that if a woman in the family recognizes the greatness of the goal and what the group does, then the husband will definitely study and will not go anywhere. Yet, if the wife is against it, in the end, he stops studying and leaves.

Here, everything depends on the wife. The female’s desire in the world is much stronger and more decisive than the male’s.

When Everything Disappears From Memory…

552.02Question: When I read Kabbalistic books, I undergo many experiences and sensations. But after reading, everything disappears from my head. What to do with it?

Answer: This is good! While reading, you experience all of this, pass it in your states. Do not worry that they disappear. The main thing is that you have passed through them, that they have worked within you as long as they should have worked.

Do not worry about what you have forgotten, what you read; you should not hold on to anything: not in memory, nor in feelings, nor in your heart, nor in your mind. Do not try to hold on to anything! Let everything flow. The next state will always be higher, better than the previous one. Make room for it!

A Sign That We Must Share The Method Of Correction

laitman_962.7It is not necessary to grieve about a ruined building hoping that if we build it in Jerusalem, we will change something for the better. The Temple is in our heart, where mutual bestowal and love should exist. This will be the holy structure, which means above our egoism.

This is what we should aspire for and this is the destruction we should regret—the one that is happening right now, not the one that happened sometime in the past. The Temple is being ruined day after day, that is, the connection between us is destroyed more and more. New informational genes (Reshimot) are revealed, but we are unable to correct them and that is why the destruction is happening. The possibility for connection is revealed again and is destroyed again, and so it goes moment after moment. This is what we should regret.

But instead of dealing with our inner correction, we cling to matter. We do not understand that the Torah is sanctity, that it is detached from matter and relates only to our spirit. The stones and geographic places where historical events took place are more important to us. It is very difficult for a person of this world to give up material symbols; he feels as if he is in space. The earthly symbols confuse us and we begin to sanctify material objects instead of thinking about the intention.

At the same time, Kabbalists did not call for the abolition of material symbols because a person lives by them. It is important that one has a daily routine, holidays, and special days, reminding one that there are spiritual forces and qualities behind them. Otherwise, a person will not remember spirituality. If one is not connected to spirituality, then at least the material symbols will remind the person of it. Therefore, symbols cannot be canceled; we only need to add intention to them. Both have to exist as long as our world exists.1

The only thing that we are lacking in our state is to reveal the Creator, the force of bestowal, love, and connection. If we aspire specifically to this, then this is the correct work and direction. Exile (Gola) is a broken will to receive unable to connect in order to feel the true reality. We just need to add the letter “Aleph – א” to it, the Creator (Geula—redemption), and then the desire to connect will reveal to us the entire true reality.

It is written: “And they will teach no more… for they will all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them.” That is, all the crumbs of the will to receive. With the help of the reforming light, they will build a common vessel inside of which they will attain the upper force. Everyone must come to this; not even one part of the desire should be missed. If even one of them does not connect to the common will to bestow, it will be missed in the great Malchut of the world of infinity.2

The evil is revealed in the world more and more, day by day, and there are signs of recognition of this evil in humanity. People are beginning to understand where evil comes from. But this is only the recognition of evil, not of the way of correction. There is still no recognition of the mission of the people of Israel; on the contrary, the opposite, negative attitude is growing. It must be revealed that the method of correction is within the people of Israel.

Everyone agrees that the situation is bad and deteriorating day by day. But the main thing is to convey to people that the correction will come only through unity, and that the people of Israel have the method of unification. Until that happens, anti-Semitism in the world and the negative attitude toward Israel will continue to grow. This is a sign that the knowledge of the source and the method of correction are insufficiently disseminated.3

“How To Stop Global Warming All At Once” (Linkedin)

Linkedin: “How to Stop Global Warming All At Once

You don’t have to be a climate scientist or understand that our deteriorating climate conditions will have disastrous ecological consequences. According to the World Economic Forum, ‘Russia’s melting permafrost could have a devastating global effect’.

The danger is not only the emission of carbon dioxide and very rapid global warming, but it’s also releasing gases and other substances that have been frozen for thousands of years, even from the dinosaur era. The melting of the snow in regions where that is not supposed to happen may cause an outbreak of diseases or other phenomena that humanity will have no idea how to deal with.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, the imbalance in human relations, which is the highest level of nature, directly causes an imbalance in the lower levels of nature – still, plant world and animal kingdom. The behavior of humans and especially their thoughts violate the balance in nature, and the less balanced our relationships, the more imbalance in nature as a whole.

Kabbalist Yehuda Ashlag, wrote in an introduction to his article “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah”:

“All the upper and lower worlds are all included in man, and all the realities in the worlds are but for man only.”

As long as we do not work to balance the relationship and network of thoughts between us, the outlook for the earth, and us as its inhabitants, is very poor. The fires that are joining the floods, hurricanes and earthquakes signal to us that we don’t have much time left to change.

We must begin immediately and without delay, to nurture the most powerful force that exists in us: the power of thought. If we aim our minds and hearts towards better human connection, we will activate a positive force that is deeply rooted in the natural system, and it will bring balance into all levels of nature.

Who Is Rav Isaac Luria (The Ari)?

Starting from the ruin of the Second Temple, the wisdom of Kabbalah was hidden until Isaac Luria Ashkenazi (The Ari) opened it to all humanity in the 16th century and let the world move toward correction.

The Ari belongs to the chain of the greatest Kabbalists throughout the generations. He is considered to be the father of the contemporary wisdom of Kabbalah. In his book The Tree of Life, the Ari, unlike the Kabbalists before him, reveals the structure and development of the universe and gives clear instructions on how we can ascend from our world, the lowest point in reality, to the highest, complete and eternal attainment of reality.

Behold that before the emanations were emanated and the creatures were created,

The Upper Simple Light had filled the whole existence.

What Does Tisha B’Av Commemorate? (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What does Tisha B’Av commemorate?

Tisha B’Av is a very important and prominent state in the development of creation. According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, Tisha B’Av commemorates the ruin of the Holy Temple, i.e., the shattering of the vessels, the state when we lost consciousness (i.e. the shattering or ruin) of our connection as a single entity (i.e. the Holy Temple). In the wisdom of Kabbalah, we learn extensively about this state of shattering and how important it is, because there cannot be correction and connection without corruption and shattering. Therefore, on one hand, there is great joy in the opportunity for correction that the shattering brings us, and on the other hand, there is sorrow and crying from foreseeing the oncoming shattering, knowing that we needed to resist it, i.e. to maintain our connection as a single entity despite the forces emerging to shatter this connection. This coincides with the spiritual principle that, in spirituality, we always encounter two opposites in the same place.

Therefore, together with the joy at the opportunity for correction that the shattering brings us, we need to simultaneously be sorry about all the ruins that have taken place, out of necessity, due to their spiritual root. However, what is the destruction that we need to be sorry about today? It is that today, after the 16th Century, the time of the great Kabbalist, the Ari (Rav Isaac Luria), which marked the beginning of the opening of the process of correction to humanity as a whole, then all we need to be sorry about is our negligence to willfully engage in this process of correction. That is, we shouldn’t be sorry about ruined Holy Temples from 1,000s of years ago, but that each day we fail to actively engage in the process of correction, we fail to build the new Holy Temple—a correction of the shattering in our connections. That is what is truly considered the ruin of the Temples.

Therefore, what do we need to take into consideration during Tisha B’Av? It’s why we cause the ruin and shattering of the Temple today. We shouldn’t cry about what happened 2,000 years ago. We don’t really know what happened back then. By crying about it, it’s as if we position ourselves as great righteous people and think poorly of the people back then, and that they lost the rule of the Temples. What we need to understand is that this ruin played out according to a necessity for a certain order to unfold. However, since the time of the Ari, the 16th Century, when we position ourselves against the process and the method of correction—the wisdom of Kabbalah—then the ruin is the shattering of human relations, the division that is spreading worldwide among humanity. We thus don’t relate to Tisha B’Av as a historical occasion, but as a state that is playing out in our daily lives.
