To the extent one asks to feel the Creator’s greatness, to go with it above reason,
One doesn’t wish for the Creator’s revelation, but wants His greatness in order to carry out the Creator’s desires with no conditions—this is what one asks for. This is called filling the emptiness with a commandment.
Why aren’t those who have the wisdom of Kabbalah able to set things right in the world?
The world’s correction depends on everyone’s participation in this process. Today the process of the masses’ correction is just starting in the world, to the extent people are being …

Correction is voluntary—it’s work one does with oneself, personally!
We now have to become aware of that, otherwise we’ll be punished!
The whole nation is responsible for transgressions since everyone drowns if one person drills a hole in the boat. From above there’s only collective punishment or reward. There is nothing personal in spirituality—there’s one system. That’s how we are seen from above.
Kabbalah says: we need upbringing and a desire for good connections.
People in America have decided to speak by shooting. Weapons can protect you, but they won’t fix the urge to resolve everything by shooting! Two opposite forces operate in everything in nature. Their balance makes peace. We need weapons of good and evil.
Yet not for the sake of our physical safety, but for the sake of uniting us and Him into one soul!
We’ve reached the limits of weakness: supplying the enemy with everything and ceasing fire at his order.
Book of Zohar: we have no other hope but the Creator. He arranges everything so we’ll turn to him out of despair.
We don’t care about every person’s qualities. We correct the CONNECTIONS between us. What matters is one’s attitude to the group, whereas natural qualities cannot be changed—they can be turned into Tzimtzum Aleph, a screen, Ohr Hozer, to build the Kli of the soul in which the Creator will be revealed. Inside, every person will remain the way the Creator made him (Lech Le Uman…)
The right request to the Creator is the request for self-correction. However, not for the sake of oneself, but in order to be able to feel others and to know how to ask the Creator for others, to ask only for their benefit, to be AHP for the sake of all the souls’ GE.
It doesn’t depend on our force or strategy, but only on unity, mutual guarantee, on us attaining the proper unity in the nation and showing the world an example of it! #Israel
#War can’t correct anything. By a string of disasters, it pushes us to understand that the solution is entirely up to us and not up to our enemies.
And instead of feeling our limited existence in the world, we’ll attain the Creator’s level.
The breaking isn’t accidental, we mustn’t annul its result. It’s for our good. If we unite above separation, we reveal connection 620 times greater than the previous one, before the fall of sin, breakage.
Is the nations of the world’s attitude to Israel changing for the better? Just like in the past, when no one felt bad about the extermination of Jews by the Nazis, so today European mass media has no mention of the fact that Hamas shot 500 rockets at Israel!
For now we have no control over our heart, but we are moving toward realization of evil and request for correction.
The most in-demand profession in the world will soon be experts in spiritual work—”the Creator’s work.” We are preparing for that. Hence our work lies in creating connection between us.
Goodness grows precisely by virtue of the ego’s growth!
Our egoism doesn’t disappear. It has to remain and we build connection above it. Naturally, the desire to eradicate ego emerges. But that’s the wrong approach. That’s why we can’t do that. Egoism will remain, but we will cover all evil in the world with goodness.
A layman cares for himself, whereas a Kabbalist cares about the connection between us, since all of correction lies there.
True Torah, Torah-Emet differs from the masses’ Torah by a different interpretation of flaws, punishment and reward, as written, “The Torah’s opinion is opposite to the laymen’s opinion.”
If evil has been revealed, we should pay attention not to it, but to our request to correct the evil with greater connection between us.
No one is guilty of his actions: all transgressions are revealed from above. We are guilty not for the revelation of evil, but for not asking the Creator to correct the evil.
All the prayers were composed by the sages before the Temple’s destruction. They are recited not for oneself—ME, but for everyone, WE, US. That’s because no one is guilty by himself—he was created that way, and everyone is responsible for everyone.
Hence it doesn’t matter who made the action—from above we are considered as being in a circular guarantee, ARVUT.
The more opposites we can unite inside us, the higher is our spiritual degree.
It’s the way any information can be processed in a computer by connections of 0 and 1. Spirituality is built upon the amount of connections, which produces quality.
Hence the most important thing is to go through the necessary number of states!
How can we win wars?
Essentially, all our wars are internal. We must fight our own egoism, which separates us, since according to the plan of creation we must be “as one man with one heart.” We must fight the ego for the sake of unity and by that we must give the world an example.

On Nov. 11, 1918, World War I ended.
One hundred years later, bells rang at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris as leaders of some 70 countries marched shoulder to shoulder on the plaza, marking the 100th anniversary of the armistice that brought the war to an end.
Leaders such as Emmanuel Macron, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, Donald Trump, and Benjamin Netanyahu walked on the battleground where fierce battles took place, millions of soldiers were killed, and much blood was spilled as a result of the cruel war between nations.
But does this impressive demonstration indicate that we are at last close to true peace?
Are we on the verge of extending an umbrella of peace and unity that will cover all the European nations?
As long as economic inequality continues to escalate in most countries and waves of immigrants continue to shake the demographic-cultural fabric of Europe, true unity is not in sight. These crises are the result of an ultra-liberal ideology that has gained strength and spread throughout the continent.
Every day, these two crises deepen the social and political polarization.
The rich become richer, the poor become poorer, and immigrants bring with them religion and customs that incite the local Europeans. As a result, the extreme right is strengthening throughout Europe, and as long as the public within European countries is divided, unity across Europe should not be expected.
Such a spectacular ceremony only widens the gap between the idyllic façade put forward by the leadership and the daily reality in Europe. European leaders are making an attempt that doesn’t account for the selfish, alienating nature of the human ego; the attempt to welcome everyone into their borders and create a common market where everyone wins requires a solid educational foundation to form genuine integration between people.
The way European leaders think and make decisions might also have to do with an interesting fact that is common to many of them — they don’t have biological children. Take a look at the following list:
Germany’s Angela Merkel
France’s Emmanuel Macron
Britain’s Theresa May
Italy’s Paolo Gentiloni
Lithuania’s Dalia Grybauskaitė
Holland’s Mark Rutte
Sweden’s Stefan Lofven
Ireland’s Leo Varadkar

Whether by choice or lack thereof, all of the above leaders are childless.
People who dan’t have children see the world differently than those who do. They have a different outlook on life, they analyze the past, present, and future differently. In contrast, any person who has children lives with a certain sense of responsibility for his or her family, which accompanies and influences their decision-making processes.
Some commentators have already made a link between European leaders’ lack of thought about the future and the fact that they are childless. However, it doesn’t end with thinking about the future. More than a social status, being a parent is a natural status.
A childless leader lacks instincts that he or she cannot acquire in any other way. They could be highly intellectual, incredibly skilled and gifted in many different ways, and yet, they lack a natural drive that exists in any average parent—to care for and protect their children. And their decisions will be affected by that lack.
But perhaps even more interesting is: what does the public think about this phenomenon?
The answer is that they mostly don’t.
The general public is not interested and many are not even aware of this particular aspect of their leaders’ personal lives. Ask yourselves: were you fully aware of all the childless leaders in the above list?
The public indifference to this phenomenon characterizes our time and our generation. A generation that is losing touch with basic human values. A generation that is clearly going through an identity crisis.
That being said, there’s no point in condemning anyone. Neither the childless leaders nor their indifferent citizens. We’re all in the same boat of human development, and human society is going through a unique phase, where the human ego is reaching its peak.
This explains why the individual has become more important than ever. The importance of the family unit has declined, and thus, today even a childless leader can be a mother and father to millions of people.
But human evolution doesn’t end there.
The human ego will continue to grow and drive us apart until it leads us to realize that we have to rise above it, and cultivate a higher level of human connection. Then, we will see the importance of rebuilding our connections on all levels — from the family unit, through the community, to the rest of society.
The aspiration for a common future that liberal European leaders envision can become realistic when humans cultivate a deeper sense of connection. As long as the ego drives the moves on the ground, the attempts of European leaders will do more harm than good.
Only when leaders make education towards unity their highest priority and aim to bring citizens together above all differences, the common sense of human connection will guide Europe towards a better future.

Question: A person who has fallen into the “pit” of his egoism does not believe that he has something in himself associated with bestowal. He sees nothing sacred in himself that would be associated with the Creator. How does one get out of this state?
Answer: There is nothing complicated here. If we have a group and we get used to uplifting ourselves and each other every day before the lesson and during the lesson so that all our qualities, views and connections are controlled and progress us, then we do not need great immense descents. If they do happen, however, practically all of them are manageable.
The descent should last no more than a moment. Not a split second, but just a moment that even does not have a period in time. Immediately, an ascent should emerge from it.
If I am in the field of the group and receive a personal descent, then it passes through me like an electric impulse and immediately the group pulls me out. The general field of the group works on me.

Remark: A woman’s heart beats a little faster than a man’s: 70 beats for men and 78 for women. However, in couples living together, heart rhythms and breathing become similar, especially if their relationship is close. So claim scientists.
But even if people just do something enthusiastically together, their hearts become attuned to each other.
My Comment: This is the influence of people on each other. They become attuned if they work in the same team even if there are no close ties or shared hobbies, a single task or atmosphere.
The person’s influence on the environment is multifaceted. We see that people who live in a country acquire a common mentality, and if they live there for a long time, then they even acquire the features of those who inhabit this country. This does not depend on the people, but on the land itself where they live.
Question: How does it carry out in Kabbalah?
Answer: It is a very different story in Kabbalah. The fact is that by studying Kabbalah, we connect with each other not on the earthly level, where we live on the same land, breathe the same air, and become affected by the same, say, radioactive environment or some other parameters about which we do not even know.
We are passionate about our common goal and that is where we see ourselves. Moreover, we can see ourselves in this common goal only when we dissolve into our friends.
Therefore, in Kabbalah such union and interconnection develops that does not exist in any other form of human interaction. In Kabbalah, it turns out that we do not simply resemble each other, we create a system together, in which we become conjoined parts, and one cannot exist without the other. Therefore, everything is a degree higher here.

In the material network it’s we that are important. Humanity thinks that by building such a network, we advance. But every time we attain unity, we reveal the inner breakage of egoistic unity—ushering in war and misery. Egoistic unity is required to recognize its harm.
If one remembers the “condition for the right appeal to the Creator,” that he can’t ask for himself since that’s selfish and not for the group, he evokes the Creator’s “backward” reply, harming himself. But the Creator’s backward side also gradually teaches one the right appeal..
Hence beware of appealing to the Creator before you arrange your relationship with the group, aim yourself at unity, see everyone as one whole. Only by imagining that you connect all the hearts can you turn to the Creator from that single heart. That will be the right prayer.
Don’t think that the condition “love your neighbor as yourself” is carried out by upper light only at the end of correction. All our work starts with this effort, and proper actions and appeals to the Creator are built only upon it, through all 125 degrees—and He corrects it!
Building relationships of mutual guarantee in a 10, we start to feel the net connecting us, which turns into 10 Sefirot, a spiritual Parztuf.
That’s how we fulfill the condition for revealing upper light, the Creator’s manifestation in creation, in the ten as in one single whole.
Although we don’t uphold mutual guarantee, from above we are treated as if we uphold and transgress it, as one body (Partzuf of Adam). If one person transgresses, everyone is held liable since everyone is in one boat. Hence one must always ask for everyone rather than for oneself
Our time is characterized by aggression by previously persecuted color-, sex- and ethnic-minorities toward their former persecutors. This leads to violence.
Kabbalah advises: “Love will cover all sins”—we must develop only love. Otherwise lawlessness and violence will prevail!
Several EU countries (and Trump!) refused to sign UN’s treaty on “orderly” migration since it leads to an influx of illegals and undermines their sovereignty.A coalition has formed in EU opposing Germany’s and France’s globalist obsession. A war of pro- and anti-globalists is coming.
Before Trump, US policy was up to the world’s financial elite, in control of world economy. Since 2008 it’s clear we can’t keep living by financiers’ laws. The alternative: capitalistic progress, national production, duties.
What’s ahead: Trump’s victory or America’s fragmentation?
If there was no darkness, we wouldn’t feel the light. Hence darkness and light have to exist simultaneously, as two opposite sides of one phenomenon. Otherwise we wouldn’t discern reality or feel that we exist. Our existence is based on the contrast of light and darkness.
All “bad” states during the day come only to give us a chance to discern light on their background. Light is the quality of bestowal, a good attitude to the friend for the sake of the common goal, not for self-profit. Darkness to me is the background to discern light, unity, Creator.
Otherwise we don’t correspond to the spiritual network, and it will pressure and push us to unity.
The right connection always goes to/from the Creator through the group: not directly from me to the friend, but to build the soul’s Partzuf out of ten or as many as the Creator brings to the group.
… the place of the Creator’s revelation. Not IN us but BETWEEN us.
Each one must think only about the common net, the group’s wellbeing, personal responsibility for everyone’s connection. There’s no other spiritual work besides unceasing yearning to unite everyone. These connections between us will become a Kli …
Better not to ask for anything than to ask for me.
Before turning to the Creator, one must sort out his relations with friends on the path of spiritual progress.
If I turn to the Creator for me, an egoist, then I destroy instead of building
My appeal causes good or evil in the world.
We thank for darkness just as light since it’s a necessary condition to reveal the Creator to creatures. If we don’t overcome our reluctance to move, disappointment, thoughts of self-love, i.e., the sensation of darkness as the start of building a Kli, we’ll never become human.
Observance of Torah and Commandments is possible only to the extent of unity; without unity, observance of Torah is impossible. That’s because observance of Torah is in desire, and only to the extent of mutual guarantee (Arvut).
Appreciate darkness, which leads to the goal of creation. See light on the background of darkness.
Darkness is what was created to discern light. Hence dark states are more valuable than light ones. Ego doesn’t want darkness and hence we must be more happy about it than light. Don’t value states by how pleasant they are.
Experience allows us, after going through darkness, to anticipate the upcoming revelation of light.
We can recognize, discern and reveal the quality of the Creator’s light only inasmuch as we attain opposite qualities of darkness.
We must thus undergo all states of darkness, opposite to light.
Practically: I must discern a need for connection-bestowal-love-Creator.
All the wisdom of Kabbalah is about how and what to ask of the Creator.
I ask Him (pray) for changes in me—this is man’s work.
The Creator fulfills my proper requests—this is the Creator’s work (Avodat HaShem).

Canada’s PM Trudeau meets with MS St. Louis survivor Ana Maria Gordon in Ottawa (Reuters)
Trying to escape the atrocities of Nazi Germany, around 900 Jewish refugees aboard the St. Louis ship were denied entry to Canada on June 7, 1939. It was one of the many rejected requests to obtain asylum in the North American continent, before the liner returned those on board to safe harbor in four European countries. Unfortunately, 254 of its passengers later perished in the Holocaust.
It was precisely the prosecution they were running away from, prompted by a series of events in Germany that put the lives of Jews in peril: the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich, discriminatory laws targeting Jewish citizens, the Nuremberg Laws and the Kristallnacht riots by the Nazis in 1938. During the pogroms in Germany and Austria, more than 90 Jews were killed, hundreds of synagogues were torched, and roughly 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to death camps.
The St. Louis set sail on May 13, 1939 when the luxury liner departed Hamburg, Germany and arrived to Cuba as a stopover to the United States. But the Cuban government did not let the passengers disembark and kept the ship in port for days. The authorities refused to accept the foreign refugees despite the fact that they held legal visas previously acquired. Increased anti-Semitism and recent changes to immigration regulations in Cuba restricted their entry.
After the refusal, the boat sailed to the Florida coastline looking for American asylum, but President Franklin D. Roosevelt denied the appeal. The government argued that the refugees aboard the ship had to wait their turn as anybody else in a long line of asylum seekers. After the rejection, St. Louis started returning to Europe.
Aware of the humanitarian emergency, a group of Canadians unsuccessfully tried to convince their government to provide sanctuary for the refugees. The official response was that “no country could open its doors wide enough to take in the hundreds of thousands of Jewish people who want to leave Europe.”
The ship then continued on its course for the Old Continent and docked in Belgium, and from there the passengers were dispersed to France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. But during WWII, many of them fell under Nazi control, putting the refugees back in harm’s way. Many survived, but hundreds were sent to concentration camps and died.
“We apologize to the 907 German Jews aboard the MS. St. Louis, as well as their families,” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said recently in the House of Commons. “We used our laws to mask our anti-Semitism, our antipathy and our resentment.” He added, “We are sorry for the callousness of Canada’s response. And we are sorry for not apologizing sooner.”
Trudeau’s mea culpa comes at the time when anti-Semitism is globally on the rise, with Canada and the United States being no exception. The deadly attack to the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburg was not an isolated incident in the US. Anti-Semitism on campuses, on the Internet, continuous physical, unprovoked attacks in cities like New York, vandalism to synagogues and private homes are only some of the manifestations of the increasingly rampant hatred in America toward Jews.
With the establishment of the State of Israel, the Jewish people can feel that there is a safe haven. Indeed, on the verge of an unbearable crisis, no country, not even the US or Canada, will be unconditional to us, defend our interests, and protect us from anti-Semitic existential threats. The waves of modern anti-Semitism that now plague the Jews in Europe should serve as a reminder of our mission: to unite. That is our only life insurance.
We have no one to rely on but ourselves. Everything depends on us. The Jews are responsible for everything that happens in the world, whether for good or bad. As it is written, “There is no calamity that comes into the world but for Israel” (Tractate Yevamot 62a).
In the meantime, we do not feel that way, but the wisdom of Kabbalah explains that is how the human communication system is built from within. The Book of Zohar compares the connection between Israel and the world to the organs of the human body: “Israel among the other nations, like a heart among the organs, and as the organs of the body could not exist in the world even one moment without the heart, so all the nations cannot exist in the world without Israel.” All the accusations, every persecution, every rejection, every rage and threat expresses the world’s demand that the Jewish people, wherever they are, should fulfill its role and lead humanity to happiness and a meaningful life.
Unconsciously, humanity feels that the Jews have the solution to all its problems and the key to its happiness. Global pressure on Israel is guided by the program of human development defined in nature, as Rav Kook wrote in the early 1900s: “In Israel is the secret to the unity of the world.” If so, sooner rather than later the Jewish nation must fulfill its role toward humanity and be a “light unto the nations” — to serve as a good example of a civilized society in which everyone lives in mutual solidarity and brotherly love above all differences. Only then will we sail to a new and good world. As our sages said, “If I am not for me, who is for me; and if I am (only) for myself, what am I. And if not now, when?” — Hillel, Ethics of the Fathers, 1:14
