Helping Or Complicating Life?

laitman_543_02Question: We women try to make our husbands’ and children’s lives easier. We worry about their daily lives and organize entertaining activities for their leisure and the holidays. Very often, we even take their chores upon ourselves. Should we perhaps try to do the opposite? Should we try to complicate our husbands’ lives so that they will suffer more, so they awaken faster to advance along the spiritual path?

Answer: A woman should not annoy her husband. She should help him do everything on a reciprocal basis to provide each other with the most easy and comfortable existence. There is no need to create any special difficulties.

The hardships a person overcomes along his spiritual path are spiritual and internal. If a woman grumbles and bangs on pots and pans, it will not help her husband advance spiritually, and she will only harm herself this way.

She should support and help her husband, create the right conditions, and gently push him along the spiritual way, and nothing more.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 7/10/16, Part 1

laitman_283_01Question: The same primitive savage always exists within us that overpowers us when our emotions operate. Will this part always remain in a person?

Answer: No, not always. If you continue to engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah, you will feel that there are two opposing forces in you and that you are between them with freedom of choice in what is called the middle line.

Question: Is the conflict between cultures and civilizations determined from above by the Creator, or is this the result of egoistic human desires?

Answer: It is the same thing. The conflict is created through egoism which the Creator manages. Nothing happens on its own in nature. We are within a system called nature that manages everything.

Question: Is it possible to say that a flock of birds feel the Creator when they act collectively?

Answer: No, the birds don’t feel the Creator. They feel the general managing force instinctively and obey it. That is how a large flock of birds turns simultaneously to this side or the other, none of them hindering another. A similar thing is also possible to see with fish. We cannot imagine that people will instinctively begin to cooperate mutually like this.

Question: Can we reduce the 230 years that we have left until the completion of correction (Gmar Tikkun) and by how much?

Answer: Yes, we can. There are no limits to this. If all of us were now to gather into one single whole with a single intention, then, with this, we would finish our present earthly existence and would feel that we are together in the state of the collective soul in an eternal and perfect world.

Question: The present generation has forgotten what Fascism and Nazism are. Two generations ago, people gave up their lives because of them. So, why do you say that suffering passes from generation to generation? What do people remember?

Answer: The generation in which terrible events occurred, such as the Second World War, had no freedom of choice. You have freedom of choice, so you can understand, recognize, and reach a feeling of good and evil. In contrast to this, for that generation, there was no choice. They just felt the immense evil of the tremendous and terrible blows they experienced. But specifically following this terrible suffering, we were brought to freedom of choice. So, today, we can make our free choice more consciously and accurately.

A Woman Who Engages In The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

laitman_627_1Question: Will the Light operate on the husband of a woman who studies the wisdom of Kabbalah regularly, who tells her husband about everything she reads, and shares her Kabbalistic experiences with him? And, will he eventually become a Kabbalist? If a husband accepts the fact that she studies Kabbalah, but he is busy working and providing for the family, will her studying affect his material success?

Answer: There is no difference between a man and a woman in spiritual work, and everything depends only on a person’s spiritual actions.

The man can provide for the family, and she can engage in the spiritual part.

As for the second part of the question, I can say that her studies will not interfere with her husband’s material success if she doesn’t disturb him. She mustn’t upset him by trying to teach him the basics of the wisdom of Kabbalah with every move he makes.

She must let him live his life quietly.

The Bible Turned Into A Comic Book

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (The Guardian):Christian publisher Kingstone has been working on the project for seven years, using more than 45 illustrators to pull together what it is calling ‘the most complete graphic-novel adaptation of the Bible ever published’, …

“Art Ayris, the founder of Kingstone, says the publisher plumped for the comics format because ‘the interplay of text and images allows one to convey a large amount of content in an abbreviated form’.”

My Comment: People interpret the Torah according to their perception of the world, as a story taking place on Earth. It is difficult to imagine that the Torah is speaking about an energy field, its influence on us, and how we are changed under its influence from being diametrically opposed to this field until we become absolutely like it.

We consist of a desire to receive pleasure; this desire is composed of 613 parts. They are corrected from a desire to receive pleasure to a desire to bestow pleasure to others through the upper force, called the Upper Light, which is also composed of 613 Lights.

In general, this Upper Light is called Torah, and the correction of desires is called keeping the Mitzvot (commandments). The Torah speaks only about the correction of the 613 desires. To the degree of their correction, a person begins to feel the surrounding with new properties, and this is called discovering the Upper World.

How Many People Are Needed To Correct The World?

Laitman_004Question: The Creator created an immense desire to receive that is clothed inside the approximately seven billion people who exist in the world today. Could it be that He would be clothed in only a few thousand people or even fewer, as Baal HaSulam writes in his article, “The Last Generation?” Does it make any difference how many biological bodies will lead to the correction of the desire to receive? Or are ten people enough?

Answer: Yes. The most important thing is that the ten people would be the epitome of universal egoism; in other words, the egoism of all of humanity (billions of people) would be concentrated in these ten, which would gather together, neutralize this egoism, and join together into one coherent whole. This state is called Adam, the one common soul.

Understandably, it would be more complicated and difficult to correct the egoism when it is concentrated in ten people than when it is clothed in billions. Therefore, the wisdom of Kabbalah is specifically calling us today to come to correction.

After a future Third World War, it would be much worse. Even though the suffering that war brings with it would compel people to unite, freedom of choice would still exist. We would have the problem of how to bring everyone to a decision to unite. For this reason, we must engage in correction today.

New Life 778 – What Is Really Studying The Torah?

New Life 778 – What Is Really Studying The Torah?
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

What does it mean to really study the Torah? How can we connect to the force concealed in this book, and what upper goal does it lead us to?

The general force of all of reality is called the Torah, the Light, the upper force, the force of love and bestowal.

The Light created the desire and therefore it is stated that the world was created by the Torah and a person has to reach the ability to use the force of the Torah in order to attain the goal of creation. There is a Torah that operates the world and everything that happens in it, and there is a Torah that we have to operate, but if we don’t operate it correctly, there are forces that operate in order to correct our diversion.

As the nation of Israel, our role is to attribute the upper force to ourselves and to properly activate it unto us.

3,500 years ago, humanity reached a certain maturity and made the first contact with the Torah.

The people who tell us how to properly operate the Torah in their books are called Kabbalists. Kabbalists learn how to operate themselves in order to influence the upper force called the Torah.

Everyone interprets the Torah, which means Light, and teaching, as one wishes, but eventually we all have to reach the state in which the nation of Israel, the Torah, and the Creator become one.

The essence of the Torah is: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice for it, since the Light in it reforms.” The Torah can turn our egoistic nature into the nature of loving others, but if we study the Torah and don’t reach the love of others, it is a sign that we aren’t studying the Torah but that we study for wisdom.

Kabbalists wrote books of Torah suitable for each and every generation. In the days of ARI, for example, Kabbalists used a scientific style.

A person’s desire is divided into 613 egoistic parts and they all have to be corrected into love by the Torah. If a person studies the Torah only in order to fill his brain with information, just like you fill a computer, he doesn’t become holy.

During the Age of Enlightenment, some people began to leave the superficial study of the Torah. Today we have to leave the exile of the Torah and return to the Torah of truth by studying the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The Torah tells us about actions that are opposite from love in order to tell us what we shouldn’t do. When a person wants to develop the attitude of love of others, 613 egoistic desires are revealed in him, and then he needs the Torah, which turns every desire from hatred to love. Therefore, it says that the Torah is a spice.
