Answer: It doesn’t matter whether you apply the integral method within your family or in some other society. We exist inside nature. Kabbalah tells us about nature’s laws, the laws of interdependence.
Currently, we are existing in crisis. The crisis is the lack of correct interaction between people. It is happening to us on purpose so that we would come to the correct interaction that we can realize in a group, in a family, at work, or in school.
For example, we teach our method to inmates in prisons, and they successfully realize it among themselves. It can be applied at any place.
From the Convention in Prague 9/9/16, Preliminary Lesson
Torah, Deuteronomy 12:13 – 12:14: Beware, lest you offer up your burnt offerings any place you see. But only in the place the Lord will choose in one of your tribes; there you shall offer up your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
A sacrifice (“Kurban” in Hebrew is from the word “Karov,” approximation) means approaching the quality of bestowal and love.
I tear myself away from egoism, pull it out of myself, and I begin to break it. On one hand, it really is a sacrifice, but on the other hand, it is an approximation. To the extent that I can divert my egoism to bestowal and love, I approach the Creator.
I do it with joy; otherwise, it won’t work out since I need to act in my desire, not physically, where I can work against my desire.
I must reach the state where I myself want to kill my egoism in its current form, to begin changing it, to turn it inside out, and work for those who are outside of me, including my most terrible haters, enemies, and disgusting people, which I cannot think of without shuddering.
In Kabbalah, the hero is the one who can change himself relative to them and change them within himself, because all of these “freaks” are within me. They are my inner qualities.
The inner ugliness draws the absolutely correct, ideal quality to me. So, I need to compare myself correctly to what is within me, and understand that everything outside of me shows me who I am within. This work is called sacrifice.

Question: If there is suffering in life, must I relate every condition to the Creator (and that it is for the best) and then the situation will no longer be felt as bad? How can one constantly hold onto the intention that “There is none else besides Him” (Deuteronomy 4:35)?
Answer: Don’t lose the thought that everything comes from Him. Hold onto that all of the time! And, if you cannot, ask Him for help.
Question: Kabbalists foresee a third and a fourth world war, which means that humanity is still advancing along the path of suffering. Is this the reason that our generation is called “the Last Generation?” Is this the last resort for mankind?
Answer: The Last Generation began from the end of the 19th century, and it will last until humanity corrects itself, that is, until we all gather into a single system and establish the collective internal connection between us. If we reach this connection, we will begin to feel that we exist on a totally different dimension, in a totally different state, beyond the frameworks of this world.
Our perception of reality is strictly individual and everyone perceives reality according to his egoism, according to the desire to receive pleasure and fill himself, which is the essence of our nature.
When we begin to connect together, we activate different laws, the laws of switching between us. They help us acquire a totally different property of the perception of reality; we begin to feel not through ourselves but through others. When we connect, we acquire a collective system of perception.
Today, people cannot attain, feel, or imagine this perception. This is possible only if a person is engaged in studying the wisdom of Kabbalah, then through studying the material and doing practical work in the group, the Upper Light gradually influences us. A person who begins to connect with others receives the Light as a result, which means the upper information, and then he begins to feel the whole creation through the connection to the general system, through the general feeling. This is called the revelation of the upper world and this is what the wisdom of Kabbalah engages in.
When a person begins to perceive the whole world through a collective feeling, he operates in a totally different manner, he understands everyone is mutually connected and that he should actually act to benefit the common state, for the sake of the general system. He begins to feel the upper force that manages everything and he calls this force the Creator because he can see that this is actually the force that creates, unites, and connects everyone, manages, and determines our present and our future.
We have to consciously and willingly reach the mutual connections between us that will enable us to discover the upper force, and if we don’t, we will bring great suffering upon us.
But in the end, as Baal HaSulam wrote, “Whether after a third world war or a fourth world war, humanity will reach a state in which it will be forced to connect, in order to discover the upper force through this connection and live in it according to its operating laws.”

In the News (Time): “Being a good provider isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, says a new study. Guys who are required to earn the lion’s share of the family income are less happy and less healthy than guys who aren’t. And the higher the percentage of the bacon a guy has to bring home, the bigger hit his body and brain take.
“The new study… looked at 15 years of data on married people between the ages of 18 and 32 from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth. ‘The data definitely seems to indicate that, in general, as men take responsibility for greater and greater shares of the couple’s pooled income, they experience declines in their psychological well-being and health,’ says the lead author Christin Munsch, an assistant professor of sociology at University of Connecticut.
“The data suggests that men are at their lowest when they are their families’ only breadwinner. That’s when happiness scores fall to 5% lower and health scores 3.5% lower, on average, than when both partners pitch in equally.
“For women, carrying a heavier financial load has the opposite effect. As they earn more their psychological wellbeing rises. And when they earn less, they feel worse. Unlike the men, women’s health didn’t seem to be affected by their earning status within the family.”
My Comment: This situation causes men to feel pressure because man in modern society is not the same provider of the past who went hunting with a spear. Today there are such conditions of psychological stress that man didn’t have originally. Therefore, we can sympathize with modern men.
Women, on the contrary, feel more confident in stressful situations. By nature, she is more suited to psychologically withstand pressure. Men are suited to carry out physical activities, and women are suited to carry inner pressures. Women also get stronger through regular daily problems and men do not.
The current situation of humanity, society and the state is unnatural. The man who in principle is ready to work and provide a livelihood deals with huge sources of stress and is under many pressures that are very difficult cope with. The female mind is more suited to deal with such pressures. Women’s intuition and psychology is more prone to multiple, reusable, and multilateral influences and the men are not. Sorry men.
Question: Do we come closer to our roots by the measure of our correction?
Answer: Of course. We will remove all external completely unnecessary tensions and pressures, and a man will be able attain what he needs to—the material, and then the spiritual food.
We will all work reasonable hours to ensure our optimal corporeal fulfillment: food, clothes, etc. All the other contentment, first men will achieve from their spiritual work. If the spiritual work is realized in normal conditions, then it only strengthens.
Question: There are no tensions in it?
Answer: There is a lot of stress, but the stress is of a completely different order. If they come from efforts of constantly strengthening the connection between us and through this connection drawing the Upper Light, then they are positive tensions. But if the stress comes from the turmoil of daily life, from the tremendous amount of problems at work, with the authorities, with police, etc., then of course it is very exhausting to the male body.
Question: Will our standard of living decline as a result of spiritual stress?
Answer: To the contrary.

New Life #598 – Greece And The European Union
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz
Why isn’t the European Union suitable for the weaker nations; how is it possible to reach a good and stable union between nations, and what does the wisdom of Kabbalah offer as a solution to the crisis with Greece?
From its beginning, there was no unity, there was no equality in the European Union. The strong exploited the weak for their own good. In general, the world economy is based on exploitation of the weak by the strong.
The solution can only be in a paradigm shift, when the goal of life will be equality and connection and not competition. We must begin educating people for a new life, a study of the trend in evolution toward which nature is leading us.
Connection between differences means that each one remains how he is in his nature, and everyone complements each other. Only after years of education and connection, will it be possible to establish a true European Union.
The European Union of today was built on a completely opposing view, the strong exploiting the weak. If we don’t teach Europe to advance toward true connection, anti-Semitism will become stronger and war is already on the horizon.
