Going With The Power Of The Creator

laitman_746_03Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 7:07 – 7:09: Not because you are more numerous than any people did the Lord delight in you and choose you, for you are the least of all the peoples. But because of the Lord’s love for you, and because He keeps the oath He swore to your forefathers, the Lord took you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Know, therefore, that the Lord, your God He is God, the faithful God, Who keeps the covenant and loving kindness…

We must not forget that the Creator leads us out of the egoistic state and that we go forward with His power. Therefore, at each degree we must move only in conjunction with Him.

We must hold Him inside us to be in a definite connection with Him. And to control this connection is possible only to the extent that we have connection with friends in the group, with my people because the people of Israel is a group united in one direction—to reveal in its unity the quality of mutual bestowal and love. And then in this quality the upper force, i.e., the Creator is revealed.

This is our goal, which should always be kept in mind. And then we will be moving forward correctly and will implement what is said in the Torah.

The Main Task Of Our Times

laitman_938_01Question: I am 55 years old, have a Master’s Degree and successful management experience. What must I learn in the framework of Integral Education and who are the educators who can teach me something? What kind of knowledge do they have that I don’t?

Answer: Even if you had all the higher degrees in the world, this is not what you must learn in the “university of life”! In those integral education and training courses that will permanently influence the entire population of the world, only a small percentage of the population of the world needs to be involved in public works.

According to statistical studies, if we were to stop manufacturing products that are completely unnecessary, with which we confuse and stupefy each other’s minds, and we were to be involved only with necessary production for building our lives rationally without luxuries, we would see that around 80% of the population of the world would be freed from the need to produce and do something.

We are advancing toward learning the most desired profession, the most desired business, and the correct unification of all of humanity. Humans are the only creatures in the world in which the ego, lack of love, and even hatred toward others “burns,” while the movement of nature is aimed toward gathering us together into a single whole.

From year to year, nature is showing us more and more that we are in a mutually linked integral system. So through disasters, social problems, family problems, and wars, nature will force us to reach the necessity of connection between us so that humanity will acquire an integral, united form, like nature itself, becoming like it. This is what we must learn.

We see what is happening in Europe as a result of their egoistic attempts to connect; they are holding onto each other so much that they cannot separate peacefully. This approach is leading them toward death. That is how it is all over the world; either you enter into some kind of unity and then discover how incorrect and bad that unity is, or you don’t unite and nature and natural evolution will push you toward this anyway.

The human ego has evolved to such a dimension that it pushes us away from each other, while nature is forcing us to unite. These two opposing forces, the centripetal and centrifugal forces, influence humanity in such a form that it feels as if it is in a vise. And here we are already talking about survival.

So in our time the wisdom of Kabbalah has been revealed. It explains how we must connect and unite to resemble nature, to reach agreement with each other, and to achieve a reasonable existence. This is the main task of our times. But to carry this out, we must study many hours every day for this study to actually work. By learning how to connect with each other, we begin to discover the positive force that exists around us. As of today we have no possibility of discovering it; we don’t have that detector, apparatus, or device which can reveal it.

When we begin to connect and unite correctly according to what the wisdom of Kabbalah dictates to us, we will immediately see how the force that carries out all the positive actions appears in us, both among us and in the whole world on the level of the animate, vegetative, and still. Then everything will calm down and reach a general balance to the same degree that a person balances himself and compels all of nature toward this.

The Genetic Map Of Humanity, Part 2

laitman_553Hidden Gene

Question: Is there something in the genes of human DNA that is known to the wisdom of Kabbalah, but not to geneticists?

Answer: There is an additional spiritual charge that remains a mystery to a regular person.

For example, in the people of Israel in different generations were people who weren’t born Jewish but joined the nation and became very significant individuals in it, although initially they seemingly had no Jewish genes. There were many such cases, especially in the times of the Temple.

Consequently, this information is not necessarily transmitted through the physical body, through parents. There is a part of spiritual information in it that leads to inner spiritual development and obliges a person to fulfill his destiny without any connection to the parental home.

For example, the parents of Rabbi Akiva weren’t Jewish by birth and converted to Judaism later. But it didn’t prevent their son from becoming a great Jewish sage, one of the greatest in the history of Israel. And where did it come from? It turns out that we can’t judge the spiritual DNA, the root of the soul, according to the material DNA.

The root of the soul is part of the system of Adam HaRishon. Adam is not a person, but a spiritual system in which we all are included through our corrected desires. And then we all unite into one spiritual body. Such a spiritual body, where all parts are in harmony with each other is called Adam, the first man.

If every person corrects his desires and is ready to unite with the same corrected desires of other people, seeking to unite like brothers into one body, one desire, then we all are connected.

And then inside this connection we feel the first man, Adam HaRishon, the joint desire assembled from many private desires. Each one annulled his egoism and connected with others above it in order to be with them in one desire, like in one body.

There are such souls, separate parts of Adam, who very much aspire for this unity, and they are considered to be high souls. And there are those who are not very eager for it, and even those that are completely indifferent to it.

Such a spiritual gene, called, Reshimois present in every human being in the world, the desire for unity: positive, negative, or zero.

Who Makes A Choice?

laitman_236_01Torah, “Deuteronomy,” 6:14 – 6:15: Do not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you. For the Lord, your God, is a zealous God among you, lest the wrath of the Lord, your God, be kindled against you, and destroy you off the face of the earth.

Question: What does it mean “do not go after other gods”?

Answer: The fact is that if you follow egoism, then you follow Pharaoh who represents all by saying “Who is the Creator that I should listen to Him?” This is the reverse side of the Creator that He himself exhibits in front of us so that we would understand that the quality of love and bestowal is higher than the quality of egoism.

And so they work one against the other. Actually the Creator builds from a reverse, and we exist relative to it.

And what do we choose? He gave us organic, natural inclinations so that we would choose Pharaoh and we would have freedom of choice for it.

But when does it appear? After all, if I constantly rush to Pharaoh, am I in free choice with respect to the Creator? What does freedom mean? And what does choice mean? What are these states when I make decisions independently?

I suppose that if one thing is bigger than another from my point of view, I always choose the one that is bigger. And if they are equal, I don’t know what to choose. So in what sense do I choose?

The choice happens when I still don’t know which one is bigger and which one is smaller. It means that there is no choice as such; there is work in order to study and analyze what I should choose, what is really bigger.

When we attempt to do this we come to a state from which there is no escape. And then we have the one and only option: to cry out for the Creator. That’s when the Creator makes a choice, and not us.

Therefore our choice is only to turn correctly, according to the Kabbalistic principles to the only one that exists, controls, and fills everything, the upper force, and ask it for at least some minimal revelation, so that it will help us to advance correctly at least one step forward.

A Cure That Always Works

laitman_599_02Question: In response to your article “…Or Terror Wins” on Snob, Sergey Muroshav quoted from your article: “’It’s time to apply the unfailing remedy that will cure disease once and for all. A healing system that balances the forces that act upon us and make it possible for us to monitor them with understanding.’

And he asked, “Um…

“Is there such a tool in nature? Other than the indiscriminate destruction of all mankind?”

Answer: Yes, there is a natural remedy for correcting our nature, but we need to use this remedy wisely, otherwise nature will not annihilate us but will lead us through various torments to force us to use the remedy that will correct us. The method for correcting our nature is called, the wisdom of Kabbalah. Its common name is the method of connection and unity.

It amounts to a few simple actions:

  1. Between 5 to 10 people sit in a circle.
  2. Getting acquainted isn’t necessary; this is a distraction and has no relation to the purpose.
  3. The facilitator explains the method and everyone follows it.
  4. Each one tries to express himself more modestly, quietly, and less than the others in the circle.
  5. Each one tries to imagine that the others in the circle have better qualities than he has, that they are apparently greater than he is.
  6. Each one tries to treat everyone else as an equal.
  7. Each one tries to imagine that they are all yearning for the center of the circle, the connection of everyone in a single point.
  8. Everyone tries to attain a feeling of unity until they really lose their sense of self.
  9. They try to feel the warmth and power that is revealed in the center of the connection between everyone.

As similar exercises are repeated, this force will be revealed more and more and will be felt closer and will be more understandable. Through its help, gradually each one will be able to balance his egoistic characteristics and drives. In this manner, you will be able to explore the good force that you discover together with the circle of friends and discuss, study, and explore its practical manifestation in you.

This is the revelation of the Creator to the creatures in our world … The study of this phenomenon in itself—is a long process, it reveals a person’s inner world. The fact is that, while we were composed of a single force, egoistic, we could not feel:

  1. where we are
  2. what we were without it.

But as soon it begins to emerge, the second force in us begins to open our image and our world—it is called the soul, and the upper world.

The method of discovery, the wisdom of Kabbalah, explains:

  1. The states that we go through and how we must direct ourselves toward deepening the discovery of the new world. This part of the wisdom of Kabbalah is called “inner work.”
  2. The states we go through, how they are formed in us, how we can manage them, and so on.

In fact, this is the wisdom of Kabbalah itself. Similar to physics or any other science, it explains the integration of two forces to us, the natural egoistic force and the force that is acquired in a circle, the higher, altruistic force, and all the possible kinds of mutual cooperation between them. The difference is only that the study and investigation is done on the person himself and not on an external object. So it is a discovery that is only for you and not for anyone else except you. The participants in these circles exchange impressions and keep track of their correspondence in the textbook.

All of this is learned in the framework of our International Academy for the Wisdom of Kabbalah.

The textbooks of the wisdom of Kabbalah were written over thousands of years ago and they are called “The Secrets of Jewish Teachings.” They are called secrets, not because they are concealed, but because they are discovered through the practical effort of the person himself. Even though the other matter is also correct, specifically in our day, because humanity has reached the end of its egoistic development, the wisdom of Kabbalah is being revealed to all people. Before then people were simply not sufficiently disappointed with life such that the question about the meaning of life really interested them.

New Life 749 – Turkey, Between Islam And The West
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Yael Leshed-Harel

Humanity is divided into seventy nations and every nation has its own form of egoism according to its spiritual root. Nature aspires to a state of balance and so after periods of extreme heat and cold a crust was formed above the burning fire and as a result the earth was formed.

This is what will also happen to humanity in the relations between and within nations. There have always been wars, revolutions, and problems in the world, and the whole idea is to learn how to build the crust above everything.

Today the differences between nations and peoples are disappearing and everything is becoming universal. Radical Islam will grow stronger all over the world. The Turks will turn to Islam, not to the West, and Islam will conquer more and more parts of the world. The role of Islam is to bring all of humanity to a unified form; if not in a good way, then in a bad way.

The role of Israel in this whole story is to teach all of mankind how to connect above all the differences. The nation of Israel is not part of the seventy nations of the world since its role is to draw everyone upward to connection above the ego, according to the rule “love will cover all the transgressions,” the burning fire and the crust above it that covers it and balances things. The efforts to connect above the differences reveal a force between us that is concealed in nature called the Creator, the force of love and connection.
