In the News (from The Guardian): “Why the wheels fell off Germany’s economic model” – “There is a worldwide financial and economic crisis and Germany has been very badly hit because of its long-standing policy of wanting to become the world’s number one exporter,” explains Berlin’s deputy mayor and economy minister, Harald Wolf. “There has been a dramatic drop in export orders for industry and that will have appalling consequences for jobs….”

This is because German firms have worked hard to remain competitive in world markets in recent years and to make high-quality products that people want to buy. Exports accounted for 60% of German growth in recent years. The flip side is that it is has gotten slammed now that other countries don’t want to buy from Germany any more.

My Comment: The world has to give up high quality goods since the world bears down to the lowest common denominator – the average one.  The global and integral nature of the new world is pushing us to this state.

Throughout history, there have been revolutions that tried to bring about this state of balance, to “average out” humanity so that there wouldn’t be the diverse classes of the rich and the poor.  This was done so everyone would have all they needed for existence but no more, since excess is prohibited by Nature.

In the News (from Nature): “Why inequality is fatal” In their new book The Spirit Level: Why More Equal Societies Almost Always Do Better, epidemiologists Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett extend this idea with a far-reaching analysis of the social consequences of income inequality. Using statistics from reputable independent sources, they compare indices of health and social development in 23 of the world’s richest nations and among the individual US states. Their striking conclusion is that the societies that do best for their citizens are those with the narrowest income differentials.

Many measures of the quality of life, including life expectancy, are correlated with the degree of economic equality in each country. A variety of problems such as mental illness, obesity, cardiovascular disease, unwillingness to engage with education, misuse of illegal and prescription drugs, teenage pregnancy, lack of social mobility and neglect of child welfare increase with greater inequality.

My Comment: Everything in Nature is interconnected and geared towards balance and harmony. Currently, as we recognize that we are indeed “a small village” with each part of the world interconnected with the other, it is vital that we sustain balance. The imbalance among us, in society, is what causes the crises.

There is only one way to extricate ourselves from the crisis – and the authors found it. They came to the conclusion that egoism as a traditional engine of progress has exhausted itself and needs to be replaced. Their suggestion is that we make the transition from the system of egoistic consumption to a friendly and unified society: that we move from chasing profits to pursuing venues of mutual interest.

A question I received: It is impossible to be in balance with Nature if my only approach toward life is egoistic. How can I achieve balance with Nature?

My answer: Today we are forced to face the truth. We are under the threat of hunger, epidemics, natural disasters, etc., and our natural development has led us to this situation.

We have relied on the sciences to improve our lives, but what have they given us? Their use has yet to bring us any good! Quite the opposite, we have destroyed our whole planet, our lives, have gotten entangled, thrown off-track, and are now facing a dead end.  Humanity’s foundation has been built on the wrong principles leading us to develop for thousands of years in the wrong direction – towards egoism.

That is why we must immediately change the principles of our foundation and embark on a new path!  The science of Kabbalah, and not the earthly sciences will help us advance on the path of development in a completely different manner. We will then utilize all scientific knowledge not to humanity’s detriment, but towards the common good. The principle underlying all scientific development must be the desire to do good onto others, rather than the use of knowledge, power and force for one’s own sake.

A question I received: The notion that the individual’s welfare depends on the society’s welfare is the foundation of any upbringing. Unfortunately, at the end of the day this rule is never followed…

My Answer: So as to not get confused in the concepts of “integral, global humanity,” “the butterfly effect,” “the mutual guarantee” and “mutual bestowal,” it’s best to picture just one image: we are all one family. And in a family everyone is dependent on everyone else; if one member is unwell, this feeling is shared by everybody.

Similarly, today the welfare of each individual is dependent on the welfare of everyone. That is why we must devote ourselves to the care of others, since each one of us is a member of one family.

In the News: Rupert Murdoch has announced to his newspapers’ readers that they will soon need to pay to access the Internet sites of their favorite newspapers. During the next 10 years, physical newspapers will become obsolete and in the next 2 years, people will be able to have full access to news delivery through any mobile device, with information being updated every hour.

My comment: If only we were fed something good to read!  But our higher degree of egoism will begin to reject the inferior quality of the information, and it won’t fulfill us.

A question I received: I don’t understand what’s so bad with globalization? I had a cake brought to me in America from Italy – the whole world is a small village, and isn’t that good? What’s wrong in this example with the cake?

My Answer: It’s an example of how humanity makes a calculation based on the small private profit of an individual, unmindful of the rest of Nature. Obviously, such a calculation will be incorrect, for it cannot be the case that half of humanity will gorge themselves on cake brought to them across the ocean, while the other half of humanity will starve, lacking even moldy bread. If we are talking about universal balance, equality and unity, then each person must receive only what he needs to live.

First, however, we need to reveal Nature on the global level and the Upper, universal force that conducts Nature. We must discover how we are a part of it, permeated by it, and how mutually connected we are to it in our thoughts and desires. Each one of us is like a transistor in a giant electronic circuit. We are hardwired into it! If each of us feels that we are inside Nature, inside the Creator- then we will be able to make the right calculation.

In other words, each person must first feel the desire to learn how to unite with the Creator and with the entire universe in order to make the proper calculations. First there’s adhesion, after that – calculation, and only then – action. Therefore, first and foremost we need to listen and to learn. We have already done enough damage by acting without the proper calculation.

Questions I received on the Light’s influence and the difficulties experienced while studying Kabbalah:

Question: Is it possible that the Light influences us even if we are unaware of Kabbalah yet feel attracted to it? Perhaps subconsciously, previous life cycles when we intensively engaged in Kabbalah awaken in us and cause us to search for Kabbalah?

My Answer: A person’s awakening to study Kabbalah is a result of Reshimo emerging in him. Maybe it’s the first time for him, or perhaps a continuation in this life of what began before. The sequence of Reshimot are revealed one by one, leading us to Kabbalah even if we don’t know anything about it.

Question: Would the difficulties that we experience when studying Kabbalah which are brief sufferings in a condensed form, still have come to us even if we weren’t studying Kabbalah?

My Answer: Definitely. However, when we study Kabbalah we suffer, not in reality, but in the mind, and with understanding and love.

Question: The force which acts upon us, given our desire to advance spiritually, is called the “Light” because it “illuminates” the darkness, i.e. the unconscious. Then it becomes conscious?

My Answer: Yes it does, to the extent of our equivalence to it.

A question I received: You said that if a person properly unites the qualities and traits that are present in him, he reaches perfection. What is this unification?

My Answer: There are two natural forces in man: the desire to receive and the desire to bestow, which correspond to the quality of the created being and the quality of the Creator. We need to unite them properly and equalize them!

Initially our desire to receive acts only for its own sake. Equalizing it with the desire to bestow does not mean changing it, but rather changing its implementation. The desire to receive remains, but its implementation needs to be changed from “for one’s own sake” to “for the sake of others.”

In this way, the desire to receive becomes similar to the Creator’s desire to bestow, and a person reaches the quality and the level of the Creator – the sensation of the desire in a new implementation of eternity and perfection.

On May 25th, the UK group started regularly distributing Kabbalah Today through newspaper stands on the streets of London, as shown in the photo below.

The first results are promising:

• Approximately 10 newspapers are picked up from each stand every day (depending on location).

• The UK Group has launched five stands near five London underground stations so far, and is aiming to launch at least twenty more across the capital.

• This means that the UK group has the potential to disseminate between 50,000 and 70,000 newspapers per year!

A question I received: How can one reveal the whole system of reality and make the right calculation? After all, even physicists with the most up-to-date computers at their disposal cannot determine the exact location of an electron at the next given millisecond. And what does it mean to completely reveal the universe?

My Answer: Of course, physicists acting within matter cannot know what will happen in the next moment. This is especially true if they delve so deeply into their studies that the borderline between matter, waves, and other forms of existence fades; and they start to be confused with the concepts of time, motion, and space. At this borderline our senses stop perceiving phenomena.

True reality is revealed in the form of forces that control Nature. These positive and negative forces unite at their source, which is called the Upper Force. Knowledge of it provides the basis for us to make the correct calculation.

Our world is a consequence of the forces that descend into it from above. Therefore, if we do not rise to a higher degree, we will forever remain here in the dark. We will never know why anything happens as it does, and we will always make mistakes! And with these mistakes, we will not even understand in what direction we are erring.

However, if we wish to exist correctly in this world, as compelled by nature, then we are able to do this only by rising to the next degree. This means revealing the general force that acts in nature and discovering the mechanism of its influence on all parts of the universe. This will allow us to make our every action in balance with the all-encompassing force of nature and live more positively.

This general force (called the Upper Force, Nature or the Creator) shows us through its blows that we have made an incorrect calculation and have gotten off track. In this manner, it forces us to rise to its own degree. But if we fail to rise to the level of the Upper Force, we will have horrible suffering ahead.
